Awesome app
I don’t really write reviews, but I felt I needed to after receiving my third beauty Voxbox :). Seriously, this app is awesome. I love the idea; it’s really quite a genius way to get users interested in brands and review products. I’ve been a part of both campaigns and Voxboxes and have loved being able to get cash back and free beauty products in exchange for my honest reviews. I love using the app to research the products I want to buy as well. It is important to mention that some users who receive free stuff tend to review higher than the product is actually deserving of, which isn’t the app’s fault, but it’s good to watch out for when reading reviews. There are quite a few complaints online about people being on the app for years and never getting a Voxbox. There seems to be a specific type of user they target when sending out products, and I am one of the lucky ones they like. This app is definitely not a scam; I can testify to that (I’ve received over $100 in free stuff so far). It can be kind of hard for some people to get chosen though, no matter how much you review. This app is worth a download to try your luck! And you can always look up tips to get better chances to be chosen for a Voxbox. Writing long reviews and uploading pictures is always helpful :)

App ruined on IOS
I’ve had the app for over a year now and in the past few months it just seems to have given out. I personally didn’t realize there was an updated BETA app until a few weeks ago and since I updated the app it’s just been completely out of whack. It doesn’t let me post, ask questions, create polls, review anything without scanning a barcode or finding it in the listed products they have (literally half of most reviews aren’t listed on Influenster & it’s stopped me from posting!) I used to have high engagement, recurring campaigns and obviously enjoyed it. I can’t really say the same anymore, they used to be super responsive and had great customer service but now they ignore most requests and apparently don’t fix the pointed out bugs/issues when they update it anymore. I’m disappointed at the fact that I can no longer participate in surveys (that literally stand in the way of receiving voxboxes) and my campaigns have been disappearing as well as the last few I’ve been approved for haven’t actually been shipped to me. The last time they responded to a CS request was one of the boxes I reported missing and they said they can’t offer tracking or be held accountable for missing packages. If you’ve had the app for a while now you know they attempted to provide tracking info. and usually it didn’t come through or was incorrect, now they don’t offer it at all on IOS. I don’t understand why they downgraded the app? But okay.

This app is the bees knees ! His legs and his arms!
I love this app. Well mostly, I love it for the fact it really is a neat app to participate in. They they send you lots of great free stuff for your honest review and posting it on social media, etc . Fairly easy and a fair trade by far. The only thing I have issue with is it has glitched on me and screwed up my entry of surveys needed to receive makeup products and since I’ve never got another chance and it’s breaks my heart! I’m a makeup artist by trade and that’s my thing, so. The app made it impossible to submit the makeup survey then cleared it and submitted it . I contacted CS but it’s doubtful they are able to fix that for me. I get other offers but not any in that category anymore since that . It had other various glitches that have since been resolved, as well. I’m always super paranoid now when I am using the app and on important tasks ! Not surveys cause I stopped getting them all together when this happened . I’ll still take my chances though! I still love this app !

It's okay...
This app is ok. Here is my thoughts on why my star rating is where it is... I thought at first it was a great idea but being on this app for a year now, I have seen that if you don't fit into their mold you barely get anything. Never once have I gotten a random surprise voxbox, I have had 4 voxboxes. Those 4 boxes included something that you might not expect. Also a half empty sample bottle of perfume. It has become very tiresome full out their snaps or review and surveys when you don't get anything from them. I was told by customer service that membership doesn't guarantee any boxes. Well duh everyone can figure that out, but to see in the group and people I interact with getting multiple boxes in one month is really not fair to anybody. Just this last week I have seen 5 people say they were getting 5 boxes... now how are they doing it when I am doing the same stuff... this company is truly bias on categorizing age groups... excuse me... 30/40 people like stuff just as much as the 20 something people like. It is said that Influenster is one of the top companies in this sampling community, but seriously they need to correction the problems they have categorizing people in groups and sending the same people multiple boxes every month and give them to others.

Disappointed
I’ve been using Influenster for a couple years now. I’ve gotten many good boxes/products from them. Last December (2020 before Christmas, during the pandemic), I did my first Cashback challenge. You have to purchase the items and provide screenshots of your receipt, so I did exactly that. I purchased three pet products, submitted my receipts, and was told to wait two weeks for my money to be returned. After that two weeks, I received my money back for one item. I contacted them to see why I hadn’t gotten the rest of the money, and they told me I’d just have to wait again. That was fine. I had to email them nonstop to finally receive my second payout TWO MONTHS LATER. Again, whatever, at least I got that money. I’ve been fighting with them for six months now (they simply ignored me for two out of six months) because I haven’t received the third payout. I spent over $100 on this product because they GUARANTEED I’d be given the money back. To this day, they continue to tell me to wait two weeks. I wait, I do not receive the money, and I email them again. It’s been this never ending cycle for six whole months. I’m just disappointed because I thought they were an amazing company. I don’t enjoy being the annoying person emailing every other day, but it’s just awful that they’re not trustworthy anymore. I will never do another Cashback challenge from them.

Changes to campaigns have been a bummer
Before the claiming campaigns began, I dedicated hours each day to writing reviews on the Influenster app and was thrilled to receive two fantastic VoxBoxes. However, with the change in how campaigns are conducted, I encountered difficulties in finding the products in my area and encountered issues with my PayPal account. Consequently, I found myself no longer being selected for campaigns. This was incredibly disheartening, as I had invested significant effort into building my profile and engaging with the influencer community. Despite these challenges, I remain passionate about the concept of Influenster and the opportunity it provides to review products, discover new items, and connect with others who share similar interests. I particularly appreciate the chance to try out products relevant to my personal and professional life without breaking the bank. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of providing more opportunities and streamlining the payment process to make participation easier for users like myself. Overall, while I've encountered obstacles along the way, I remain hopeful that Influenster will continue to evolve and improve, ultimately providing a more seamless and rewarding experience for its users.

Amazing concept but hard-to-use app!
I love Influenster and use it often to scope out beauty and wellness products. That being said the app frustrates me. I can’t find half of the products I want to read about or review with the search option, even from well-known international brands. When I do find the product I am searching for, the page never matches the shade/size/type/etc. of the product in question. The description pictures are often grainy and from an old website despite the availability of several high quality user-pictures and an upvote system in place for those. Maybe make the most liked picture the first shown? It also bothers me that there are so many listings for the same product. I wish all the reviews for a product were in one place instead of being catalogued under different packaging types or shades. I also wish there was an ability to create a page for an unrepresented product to improve the database of products available for review and sharing in the community. I also love the favorites section, but I wish there was an additional list option for “want to try” so I can keep track of new products of interest. I’ll keep using the app, but I hope the kinks are worked out and the interface improves.

Love the app, but takes forever to download pages, and crashes.
I love this app so much! I have benefited a lot from it, from receiving VoxBox’s too being able to come to the app to get different peoples opinion of a certain product. I love the scan feature as well. While shopping I can pull up the app, scan the product, and it takes me right to the page where all of the reviews are, SO helpful! I also enjoy reading the different articles that Influenster posts. I use this app probably every single day! My only issue is that it takes FOREVER to load certain pages. When clicking on a article or a product, it will load for a good 20 seconds or the app will just completely crash. I’ve made sure to do all the updates and even deleted the app and reinstalled it, and it remained the same. Which will sometimes result in me closing the app and looking elsewhere on the internet for what I need, which is frustrating. Hopefully they can get it resolved. Other than that, this is a wonderful tool if you’re into trying different beauty products, or even household, food, clothing; they have reviews for almost everything you could think of!

Honest review!!
Influenster has been a great app so far. The key to getting free items is pretty much consistency or dedication to making reviews. In order to receive items that you are interested in, make sure to click on those interests within the app. It does take a while until you receive a free item. For me it took 3-4 weeks. You’ll have to claim the campaigns for the items they offer you, and you have to be quick about it. When you have claimed a voxbox, it does take a while to receive it. You’ll just have to be patient. It takes up to a couple of weeks. The app also has a few glitches sometimes. For example, when you finish your tasks, it might take a while to disappear or say you didn’t complete it. But it will eventually fix itself. This app is definitely worth it, I’ve gotten several free items that are worth the time and effort. If you aren’t big on reviews or taking pictures of products, this isn’t for you.

Influenster is great but I can’t give them 5 stars and here is why
Influenster is a great app to use to get free products in exchange for your reviews. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 Stars is they will give tons of stuff to one person that doesn’t put in the work but has tons of friends. I have 6000 friends and I’ve only received 1 vbox in 2 years. In I just recently received the box after contacting them about it. I have almost 400 reviews, 90 discussion, 120 followers just on Influenster and I am not getting items like I should. They claim also Jason items out based on your area you live in your demographic but I live in one of the most largest cities in the United States so that also makes no sense why I’ve only received one Vbox. They should not be giving one person box after box after box when that person isn’t putting in the work and they definitely should be giving boxes to people that actually help boost their business do the reviews correctly and they’re always on the app! Influenster needs to stop playing favorites and make it equal for everyone else!

App needs a lot of work but the product is good
I like Influenster a lot. I have received three Vox Boxes in the last two years with minimal contribution on my part, and supposedly we “middle aged” ladies don’t get love from Influenster. Not true. You just need to fill out your questionnaires and do your snaps here and there, as well as consistently use it for what it was meant: looking up reviews on prospective products. However, the app is super glitchy and irritating. If you want to scroll your feed for entertainment purposes or to get some ideas about products, forget it, you can only see the same 3 or 4 posts over and over again for at least half a day. Also, part of how you get chosen for campaigns is your activity on the app, unfortunately, it constantly looses track of your activity. You can be on it for four days straight, looking up products or leaving reviews, but on the fifth day, it says you’re on a one-day streak. It’s petty, but extremely irritating, and defeats part of the purpose of engaging the app. I was hoping the update today would change this. If these could be fixed, the app would get all the stars from me.

LOVE what this app is about BUT don’t like the app itself.
Just like my title says, what this app is about is SO cool and really helps you out when you want to know what other people think about a product! But the app itself is not great. It takes so long for certain parts to load, even when you have full service AND wifi. When I’m doing a review and go to a different application real quick and then go back my review is gone and I have to start all over. My impacts don’t ever load completely so I hardly know if it’s accurate. When I’m scrolling through my feed it’ll start showing the posts I was just seeing. It’s not like an ongoing feed, I can’t just sit and scroll and see new things like instagram. It’ll just show me things I just saw. Also it would be great if we could suggest products that aren’t listed in what the app gives us. I have a handful of things I own that I want to review, but there aren’t any products listed. I say all those things because it’s what I see every time I’m on the app BUT I LOVE what it’s all about. It’s an asking concept and I think it would be even better if some things were enhanced/changed!

I LOVE THIS APP
For people who “hate” on influenster, you’re not using the app correctly. The more time you put into the app the more things you will be sent. Don’t hate on an app that sends you things for free, all they want from you is an honest review and opinion, if you are lazy with your reviews then don’t expect frequent boxes as the best reviewers get the boxes. It’s also important to visit the app frequently and take part in their hashtags. I love influenster, at first they sent me a pro activ set which didn’t really suit my skin but I was still super grateful as I had always wanted to try pro activ and this app allowed me to do that for free. I have recently received my second box which is a shampoo and conditioner set. They’re actually worth $77 on Sephora and so I was sooo grateful when they sent this to me. The set has really helped my hair as it is made for itchy scalps for which I am a sufferer. I will always use and love influenster and I always recommend this app to all my friends as well as my social media following!

Customer support can never be reached.
My account was deactivated and they never gave me a reason why and no email or anything. It’s hard to get in contact with anyone. I was supposed to be receiving a voxbox and the next thing I knew I couldn’t log into my app. There are a lot of people on the app who will report any little thing to try to get you in trouble if they get mad that you got a box box and they didn’t. Some of the people can get disrespectful on here. The first account I had I had a good amount of followers and someone hacked my account and changed my address and everything ‼️‼️‼️ when I asked influenster to fix it they did and 2 days later my account was gone. The next time I spoke to someone they informed me that a member of customer service “deleted my account BY ACCIDENT” so u can imagine my frustration and now my account they just took away again and no one has yet to return my emails. Just be careful on the app because a lot of the people on there are not very friendly and they will do anything to get ahead. Be careful and understand that the other influencers are not your friends. There are some who have had the app for years and not received anything so they will hate on you. SMH

Best app ever
Iv been with Influenster for a number of years now and I’ve gotten soo many vox boxes I’m impressed! When I first started I thought I’d never get one and it was just a gimmick but I was absolutely blown away at how man Iv received so far! I honestly think I get around 3-6 a year maybe even more? All for free to use to test out and give honest feed back! It’s really easy to give feedback with the app and i always review everything i use. Anything you could think of product wise is on the app to review and even ask or answer questions about! It does make it a lot easier to get vox boxes if you sign into your social media and show your range of followers through your accounts. However Iv seen Influensters get boxes with very minimal followers so it’s definitely not a requirement in anyway it just helps! The best thing to do is just review everything you currently use or try in an honest way! They also have a great community of people who are all super nice!

Voxboxes Don’t Seem Possible
I love this app because I’m a beauty guru and I love reviewing my own products plus having reviews from people who have actually tried products right at my fingertips. The thing I’ve become sad about are the Voxboxes. I got a PrepVox right away because I was on top of reviews and snaps and all of these things, but nothing else has come after that, and I’ve stayed just as active. I won a MegaVoxbox on Influenster’s Twitter party over three months ago from my reviews in the PrepVoxBox that I was super psyched about, but it still isn’t here and I’m beginning to think it won’t ever be :/ That’s honestly the only negative thing about the app other than a few times when my posted reviews on Facebook and Instagram can’t be found even when I’ve used all the hashtags and things, so then I don’t get points for my badges either. Maybe that contributes to lack of VoxBoxes but I’m not sure. It’s a fun app, I love the product reviews and challenges, I just wish I didn’t feel teased with my first box and nothing to follow :/

App is terrible
The concept of this app is great. But the app itself is truly terrible. There are so many glitches in the app even when updated. The badges never update appropriately, I am constantly getting kicked off the app when I’m in the middle of doing something and the surveys take me forever to complete because they go so slow. I also go on every day just to try and build up my streak but then randomly it will restart my streak even though I have continued to use the app on a daily basis. In addition, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to their methods of choosing the people who receive products to review. I was originally spending several hours a day for months posting my own and reading other people’s reviews, asking questions, making polls and answering other people’s questions and polls and always being told that I was perfect for their campaigns but never receiving anything. I had all of my social media linked, I was building likes and followers quickly, I did literally everything that I was supposed to and It was all a waste. Very disappointed!

Like the review aspect, hate connecting any social media
This app is great to review products and learn about products that you may want to try but it asks that you connect social media accounts to raise your impact score and there have been issues for a long time with doing that. You need social media connected to have a better chance at their campaigns. The mobile app hardly ever works correctly to allow you to connect your social media accounts. I deleted the app previously due to this issue and honestly it’s not gotten any better. The support article addressing this issue just says to make sure that you are connecting to your specific account or that it’s not connected with any other Influenster accounts, which is not helpful. It’s feedback meter says that 20 of 240 people found it helpful so at least I know that I am not the only one with this issue. Now it is affecting my ability to complete the vox box campaign. I don’t know why Influenster has this issue but no matter how many bug fixes they push through, this one is never solved on my end.

AMAZING I like it because in this application I can see the quality of a product. This app is primarily For reviewing products you own or have used. You can view other's reviews and use that information to determine what products might work for you. Everyone complains that they sont get free stuff. Yes, we all want those expensive brands for free. But theres more that goes into it . You have to be active, link your social media, etc. I'm 44. I've gotten a box. I've never been hacked. If you dont do your profile and stay active, you limit your chances of getting a #voxbox. And no, the big influencers dont get first dibs and no, you can leave any review you want. I've left one star reviews for products I have purchased myself and used. You dont have to buy anything, they do have campaigns where you can buy something and submit your receipt for cashback for an honest review. But those are not common and they are limited to very specific items.

I absolutely love love Influenster because I get to write reviews about products I have used and hoping it will benefit others. I also get to read others reviews which benefits me as well. It also has many prize perks. Influenster is always giving away samples, full sized items and many more gifts for influencers to try and review. It’s easy and it’s FUN!!! There’s always something new for you to try out and review. You can also review items you already have. You can invite family and friends, earn points and post pics to win mega prizes. You can chat with other Influenster’s to get advice/info on products and give your personal opinions/thoughts on on products as well. It’s just plain fun. I love it!!! I’m always excited to find out what’s next at Influenster. #influensterismyworld

Very Misleading!
So a friend recommended this app to me. So I signed up and jumped through all kinds of hoops, spent a couple of hours on the site answering questions and doing all the other stuff that they asked. For over a week they would send me email that I was on a short list and just needed to answer some questions. I would log in answer the questions and then I wouldn’t hear anything back from them. The more emails and more emails, again more short lists. Then I get an email saying I just need to answer some more stuff to make sure I am picked for a “box” which wasn’t true. So I contacted customer service and they said they have 5 million people and being a member doesn’t mean you will be selected for a box to review. Then what’s the point of being a member? Why mislead people making them think they will be able to participate but only if they spend months of being questioned to death and the short list emails. I deactivated my account after I got the email from customer service. I would not recommend this app to anyone unless you don’t mind all the countless emails and questions for a false promise.

temporary rating
update: this issue is still not fixed, and the renew voxbox campaign ends this week. i have two that are affected by this issue. I love Influenster. I love the concept and the experience I have had with Influenster has been so great. But, unfortunately, they don't request a rating for the actual app developer or the company itself, rather they request a rating of the app. The app, I have not been pleased with, as of late. It has been super laggy and slow. If I spend time TRYING to do reviews via the app, once I get to about three reviews, the app slows wayyy down and will not load. Even after closing the app and reopening it. Even after giving it 5 minutes to rest, although that shouldn't be necessary. It doesn't work anyone. But yea, so the app has some major buggy problems. It also will not save my social media activity for the badge tasks. It acknowledges that I complete a task, but if I leave the page with that specific task and I return, it does not save that acknowledgement. This is a major problem as it plays a role in not being able to receive brand badges. Again, I do love Influenster. But I do not love the Influenster app. Please, fix the bugs!

Great App adding feature request
I love the app but suddenly the voxbox’s & surveys stopped arriving. I wish there was some type of meter that shows how far or close you are to qualifying for the next survey/box. Instead we are left to wonder what we did wrong or if we are doing too little or too much of an activity. The help desk is OK but a live chat help would be better even if it’s a chat bot in off hours. The zendesk is not an immediate response and the campaigns are time sensitive. Overall I think it’s a wonderful service for brands to get word of mouth advertising as well as feedback and focus group type suggestions in the the campaign discussions section. I’ve seen very high quality feedback left for brands. It might also be great to have a rep. From the brand in the campaign to answer product use questions. Another feature that might be helpful is a date stamp on questions sometimes I can’t tell if it’s an old or new post. Hope this feedback is helpful to someone! Thanks :)

Love the App...but wish there weren’t so many bugs
I absolutely love this app and spend so much one on it! Super helpful when you are interested in trying new brands and new products... reviews and pictures can really help you to know if the product will be right for you. My only complaints are (1) it’s so buggy! Incredibly annoying... I’ve been sitting here trying to upload a picture of a product into one of my lists and the app just keeps crashing 😞 (2) and not all products are available to review or add to lists. It would be cool if you would make it possible to have the option that says “product not found? Add your own pic of the product to continue with review/photo upload to list” or something like that. Then people could add products you don’t have available in your data bad and help you grow it. Keep making updates and keep fixing things and this app will continue to be amazing and get better 😊 I do really love this app though!

I don’t want to give up yet on the app, but it needs alot of improvement
I don't know how many times I've seen complaints from reviewers about having to chase after their cashback from campaigns. I recommend contacting the company that Influenster has a campaign with directly as Influencer needs to do a much better job at clarifying things in their campaigns along with their customer service. I just heard back from Influenster after 2 weeks, and their response was so generic that I had to repeat the issue AGAIN to them. This is a good app, and I don’t want to give up on them yet, but it NEEDS A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT. PLEASE IMPROVE: -Clarity on the exact stores. You list stores and then put “or” making it sound it can be outside of those retailers that you listed. -More reliable customer service. Reviewers shouldn’t have to wait weeks to hear a response and at that point, that campaign is over. -Send cashback credits on a more consistent schedule. Sometimes it’s paid in a week, sometimes it takes 2 months, sometimes it’s never paid. -Don’t let reviewers able to claim everything and then only able to get credit back on one. Give only one option if only one purchase is allowed because it’s very confusing if more than one different variety can be purchased and reviewed. This also needs to be clarified in each campaign. Allowing this also has Influenster then send nagging email reminders to “complete tasks” when it already completed.

Love the app, I just have one minor problem
I’ve been a member of Influenster for almost 2 years now and I love what it’s all about! I’m on the app almost everyday and enjoy reading the interesting articles, reviews and pictures that are posted daily. I like writing reviews and giving insight on the different products that I have enjoyed or kind of frowned upon lol. I’ve been lucky enough to be selected for several campaigns and testing out the different products in my voxboxes. It’s an honor to be selected for a campaign because I really enjoy doing them. I love the app because it’s easy to maneuver around, explore and complete my campaign tasks. The only problem that I have is when I first press on the app from my home screen it pops up all black, so then I have to close it out and reopen it again then the app’s main page appears. I don’t know if I’m the only one experiencing that. Should I just uninstall/reinstall to fix the glitch? Thanks!

Too many glitches (edited)
Influenster in itself is awesome and I really enjoy the things they have to offer but the app freezes up, crashes, and glitches so much at times it can be frustrating. It’s also a mystery on how to level up on a badge at times. I’ve left a review in one category and got the badge but left dozens of reviews in another and still don’t have the badge. I’ve also made 11 lists and still don’t have that one. The app could use a lot of improvement but it’s still usable for the most part. I’m giving it an additional star since the recent updates. Some things have improved and I can see they are always working to make the app better. One thing that currently bothers me is I can’t go back to the question forum where I left off; it takes me back to the top of the list. The app is getting better about crashing and some of the things are becoming more useful. I hope they finish fixing the kinks!

App Constantly Glitching
I love Influenster and I have received so many awesome products to sample over the years, but this app is horrible and constantly has glitches. Despite completing multiple programs I have not seen my points budge in ages. I am tier 8 so I can’t complain, but I am curious if the point system is changing or if the app just no longer works. The app constantly crashes on my iPhone 15 and I can’t pull up any of the pictures I have posted because the app is so slow. There have been issues with over 75% of my programs that make it a pain to complete task requirements. Products have not shipped, surveys have been unavailable or refuse to show up as completed on the app. Multiple reviews have shown as pending for days until I contact customer service. It’s been frustrating having to reach out to customer service on every other sample and I am never sure what to expect when I sign up for a new campaign.

What happened to website
I’ve been using Influenster for years now and the website and app were amazing went on it all the time to find products I want to try out next but as time went on the website and the app just kept getting worse and worse at first it was how when you go into the categories you can’t see all the products that are actually in that category they just showed a few pictures of products kinda how it looks now so I would just have to search the category I’m looking for and for some reason all the products showed up there but now I can’t do either so the I realized I could do it with the filter menu where you filter the type of products your looking for forget that you guys took that off and not to mention the products weren’t numerically ordered to what the top 100 they were all scattered around but now it’s like I can’t find products for the life of me on the website and app I don’t what happened I use to love this site but now I barely even go on it cause it’s hard to manage

Lovely VoxBoxes, but some minor technical issues.
In the long while I’ve done Influenster, I’ve received a decent amount of boxes. The community is so engaging and really feels helpful to look through and consult before buying something. Not to mention, the quality of every box is amazing and I feel it’s catered to my likes so much more than similar sites. However, the app itself. As others have said, my app often times just shows me the same posts I just saw and only changes after hours to a full day. I want to interact with other people’s content, but it’s hard to do so when the interface isn’t showing most content. Not to mention, there’s a major glitch with the Hypster badge. I’ve unlocked it and have even leveled it up, but it’s not showing up for me to display on my profile. Finally, surveys. In order to receive boxes, you need to do surveys to tell what you’re okay with testing. Which is fine, they’re so short and simple, however, half the time my surveys load prehistorically slow, or not at all. Sometimes I have to close and reopen the app repeatedly to do one survey. This has been an ongoing issue for me. All in all, I love this app for all the potential and goodies there are to offer. I’d recommend giving it a try, even with the minor issues.

Glitchy and Not User Friendly
I have been a faithful reviewer for Influenster for at least 4 years. I followed through with reviews and thoroughly enjoyed using the products and following through with the tasks for each badge. This app has become very glitchy and not user friendly. It’s happened countless times where I was uploading a picture and then using Influenster’s phrases and picture frames and the app would crash. I’d start over again only to have it crash again. Linking to Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is often complicated when trying to upload reviews/posts through this app. I have gotten errors so many times that I have given up on leaving a review. This is very frustrating because due to these app issues I am now no longer receiving VoxBoxes as I did for years. Or maybe Influenster has now just gotten too big and there isn’t enough to go around. I don’t know. Maybe I’m extra frustrated because I’m a developer, myself. There is work to be done here.

Notification issues
I love Influenster! I do wish that users who abuse the program would be kicked out, but I understand that is difficult to do. I also don’t understand how the algorithm can send some people so many claims and they can have 20+ on their dashboard at one time, but as soon as I have 3-4 claims on my dashboard the claims stop coming altogether until I receive all the products on my dashboard and complete my reviews. It doesn’t make much sense. My biggest issue is for the last month or so there is no notification sound when I get a free product alert. I believe this is an Influenster issue as other 3rd party apps on my iPhone provide a notification sound. I have checked my app settings, phone settings, deleted and redownloaded while making sure I select allow notifications and nothing has worked.

Worst Sample Program ever I always get Scammed
This program is awful. I’ve had nothing but horrible experience with this I never get any samples. I’m always doing reviews. They always want me to buy some thing and review it to get my money back and I never get my money back. I recently bought a Totino’s pizza reviewed it uploaded receipts. It’s back in my list to claim. To do it all over again without getting paid with my last one there’s no way that I would do it again if I didn’t get my money for the first one I bought and reviewed and upload receipts. I think this is a scam app I think they get paid for our reviews and uploading my receipts, and then they make us do it again Without paying us thank goodness, I did not go and purchase the other five things in there. I wanted to just try it with the Cheapest thing to make sure they would pay me back, but I’m going to be deleting my account and Reporting them to the better business bureau. This is an awful program samples that they’re running here!!

I mean the way it’s build I guess people want the old version back it does feel true like most say it’s not user friendly even though I just came to this app I’m not really enjoying it. Now I’ve been doing dailies everyday till I hit tier 10 and I haven’t gotten anything 1 thing to kick it off is as your creating your user letting brands know “I’m here for this an that etc” But the stupid part is they want you to write a review on something you haven’t received from the app nor from anyone reaching out to you. Not saying if you do have the product already that you were browsing for you can write a review but it seems like a waste of time. Another thing I wanna bring up that’ll be more for the user is if your brand new created your account tell em about yourself ofc there could be people who want fresh faces to the app to try this or that like something that can make us attract there attention. cause all this daily stuff till you get recognize is a bit slow it’s already been a month for me an still nothing ofc it’s there choice to reach out to see if your the right candidate but could at least help us out Vice versa maybe right a lil message on why they should allow you to have the opportunity for a sample. But yea this seems like a waste of time to be honest an it’s crazy

Not Worth the Effort!
I have spent countless hours writing, honest,and thorough reviews. I was finally chosen to receive a box box, which arrived after approximately 2.5 months. It had a few items, none of which I use; however, based on the agreement, my daughter and I tried them. Before I actually received the voxbox, I was badgered daily regarding the review agreement. A. How do you write a review without the products? B. How do you write a well thought out review without giving the products a solid month, to see what the effects are ? I don’t know the answers to those questions- clearly those at Influenster must. The greatest disappointment was that, I wrote numerous reviews for household products. That is what I wanted to try. I am a retired stay at home mom( still have a child in high school) and spend the majority of my time, cooking, and cleaning. For some reason, keeping house has become my passion. Another unanswered question: Why did I not receive household products, when I made that known to Influenster ? The app itself is awful. I have tried every which way to let Influenster know that I relicsted to another state, as they reached out to me well before I moved to let me know that another box box was on omits way- more unwanted cosmetics. If there is any human being ou there working at Influenster, I would live to connect, and find a way to receive household products to review. If not, please unsubscribe me. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

App needs a complete refresh
I’ve been a member of the Influenster community for 7 years now. I’ve gotten a large number of boxes and am almost always in at least one campaign. But the lately, the app is super frustrating. It’s to the point that I cannot complete campaigns and get my badges because of the terrible connection to Instagram. It’s the same old story every time - the app rejects my post, tells me I have to reconnect my account (which then takes DAYS to get approved) and then sometimes it accepts my post and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t even try anymore which is a shame because I’ve found so many great products through testing and would love to share this feedback with my followers. I’m currently in 4 campaigns (11 products I could be sharing total) but it’s too frustrating to jump through hoops just to share. Please fix this!

Love it but also big disappointments
I want to love this app but it is INCREDIBLY glitchy. I cannot connect half of my social media’s no matter what I try, and I emailed but it didn’t work what they suggested I do. Sometimes I randomly get kicked off the app when I am trying to comment. It’s laggy and sometimes reloads a page out of nowhere. I was liking lots of reviews and it said I was at ‘level 5 hypester’ and I looked at the badge on my profile and it said I was only at level 3 although I had surpassed that. Those are my criticisms because I really like the concept of this app. I have had it since April 2020 with same issues and bugs on this app. I have an iPhone 8 and maybe it isn’t compatible but I still don’t think that should matter. I still try and use this app but it can be so frustrating. I don’t know if I’m alone in these issues but I hope Influenster works out these bugs!

I love Influenster!
Influenster is a wonderful way to learn about products you may have heard of but have never tried. Based on your interests, Influenster will send you out products for free, by mail, for you to try and give your honest review. I have received various products for my family and I, and some of those products I have liked so much that I have even repurchased. In addition, other Influensters will also rate other products and you can get honest opinions to make up your mind on whether you want to purchase a certain product or not. Influenster is completely free and they do not ever attempt to sell anything. It is just an online forum where you can read opinions on products and give your own. I absolutely love Influenster. It’s completely amazing!

I love it, but...
I want to start by saying that I absolutely love the opportunities that Influenster provides! I’ve received several VoxBoxes, and it was super easy to qualify! I get them quite frequently, as well. The fact that I am able to give my opinion on virtually any product and recommend them to others is amazing! I love all of this, but the app is SO SLOW AND FUSSY!! I almost can’t stand using it. A lot of times I have to hit the back arrow and try loading something again because it just won’t load! It’s painful to use the app for this reason. I’ve never had problems anywhere near this bad when using other apps. The website works just fine, which is why I know it’s the app that’s the problem. Please please please fix it, as I love the idea of Influenster & enjoy participating in the Influenster community and campaigns. I will update my review as soon as the app works better.

New update isn’t great
I love influenster, they boxes are always great. I’m able to select what kind of products I would like to receive. Since their new update the app has not been the same. You don’t have access like you use to when it came to liking other peoples posts or even seeing other peoples post because now I see the same post I liked from weeks ago. Not just that but the reviews have been strange. They show a picture of the product being reviewed only to find out it’s the wrong product or wrong picture it simply doesn’t add up. I wish they would go back to the old imflu. Or re invent it because it’s more complicating now. Also they tell you to tag the brand and when you do on Instagram they never approve the post! That’s annoying!

Love Influenster, but the app & website have so many issues
I love Influenster, but the app & website have so many issues. My impact score just went down after the app disconnected my Instagram count for some reason last week & it still hasn’t come back. I am also on level 11 of the hypester badge but it still says it’s locked & doesn’t actually give me credit for it. The number of things I’ve “liked” which go towards by hypester badge are also messed up. For example, if I “like” 50 posts on my for you feed, I’ll exit the app, go back in, & it’ll only show 20. (Not real numbers, just an example.) the app also keeps crashing & closing itself every time I use it. If Influenster was able to fix these issues, I’d definitely give it 5 stars. It’s something that I really enjoy being a part of.

It's Okay but...
I really loved this app on first use and then it got kind of silly. I really don't think products get fair "reviews". For example, I noticed people would rate a product 5 stars then their review would be like "I don't like it, I won't buy again, it's sticky" or just complain. Why did you rate it 5 stars then? Or rate something 5 stars based on packaging even if the product was awful. I also saw a lot of people who would rate things 4 stars and say "I haven't tried it yet, but I want to!" Or if they received it from influenster than it would always be 4 or 5 stars. Also if it was a product from a celeb in the beauty community than people would rate the product bad and diss the celeb on their personality rather the product. Influenster should have a different rating system, like stars for performance, stars for packaging, stars for how much they want to try it, etc and it totals the mean of the stars. That way reviews are more fair and more clear. I also think that voxboxs should be given based on app use rather than connecting Instagram and Facebook etc. It's nice to have an audience but I didn't want to link all my accounts, my audience was my influenster followers but they don't care for that. It seems like they just want to promote Facebook companies and I just lost interest in The app because of all of these things.

I didn’t think much about Influenster. I signed up just because i wanted to try it. I received my box and it’s so exciting! 😁 The products are full size ! And all for free 🤗The make up feels so light , almost like nothing is there . It’s so easy to blend. You only need a little bit of the product so it lasts a good while. The concealer was just a little dark for me but i put it on anyways and i used so little . It definitely blended better than any concealer I’ve used . So I’ll definitely be purchasing it in my color. The foundation stick felt soooo soft! I love it ! And it feels so light. It’s not cakey either. The mascara primer immediately started making my eyelashes look long and the mascara definitely made them longer and fuller. I can’t wait to try out my next box!

Covers The Grey!
I have tried assorted brands of hair dyes over the years. By far The Revlon Colorsilk works the best for me. The smell of hair dyes sends me into a coughing fit, but that is not the case with Revlon. There is no harsh odor to the dye. The colorsilk is easy to use, just make sure you read the instructions. After dying my hair, I was impressed with the color and how soft my hair felt. My hair came out looking like I had it professional colored. I like that it has no harsh odors, a no drip formula and the precision applicator tip is great. The dark ash blond dye leaves my hair looking stunning and coves my gray right up. An inexpensive hair dye that performs well. I really like that there is no ammonia in the hair dye. Color is accurate. Incredibly happy with the results, will keep using the Revlon Colorsilk.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON EXISTENT. WHY DO SO MANY COMPANIES REFUSE TO HIRE QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE?
I genuinely do not understand why so many companies only tend to penny pinch when it comes to hiring customer service representatives. Being repeatedly ignored and not receiving any help is RUDE. Look at how many people are in the reviews agreeing. I’ll change my review when customer service decides they’re in the mood to do the jobs they’re being paid to do. If it is taking you days or weeks at a time to respond to customer inquiries the common sense thing to do is hire more quality individuals with common sense, not to continue to take on large amounts of customers that you cannot even properly assist. Greed has caused so many of these companies to completely diminish in quality. To them it’s completely normal to have a customer service team of only 10 people to service thousands. Please start making logic a regular part of doing business again. Please!

LOVE IT
Ever since discovering Influenster a little over a year ago, I have become obsessed with this app and website. I have received numerous Voxboxes by completing surveys that they send to me via email. I’ve received anything from mascara, to moisturizer, to perfume in the mail. Every box I receive is completely free and all that’s required of me is to truthfully and honestly review the products I receive and occasionally post on social media. It took me about two months to get my first box but once I did I’ve received over 11 boxes in the past year. I recommended Influenster to my friend and she’s also received many boxes as well. Influenster is a great option for consumers to try new products and for companies to get their products into the hands of consumers.

Great App, BUT…
I do really really like the new & improved Influenster (SO much better than their older version), but I can’t give it 5 stars because of some issues that I’ve been having with the app: 1) The tier levels are super difficult to increase because they do not give you enough activities to complete that give you points to move up the tier system. 2) The CashBack Campaigns are not even worth claiming because the products are completely unavailable even when you’re selected for it. 3) General glitches with the comparison and ‘yes or no’ polls. Overall, I love going on Influenster, I’m grateful I’m receiving VoxBoxes, and I love discovering/reading about new products to try. However, the reasons above are why I’m giving the app 4 stars for now.

Worst app, great idea
Noooooothing works right. Especially the stuff that really matters. The search system for looking up products is ridiculous. Pulls up things that have nothing to do with what you’re searching for. Multiples of the same product. They should consolidate the same product into one review page. It’s a bit suspicious for the brands they don’t allow you to review. And then the surveys that you have to take never load properly. Sometimes you just get an error telling you it won’t load. Other times you have to sit and wait forever for it to load. Can take 30 minutes to do a surgery because it just takes so long to load. The layout, design, and idea is great. But the app and website and links in emails all run like this was designed on windows 98. This is the only company I have these issues with, and I have a new iPhone. It’s nothing on my end causing the consistent issues.

Needs to be more user friendly
I’ve had this app for about 2 days so far, and I’ve had a few issues with it already. When I go to add a photo, it brings up a search bar and tries getting me to search for random products instead of pulling up my camera roll. When I’ve written a review, I tried adding a photo for reference, and the most recent photos in my roll that I had of the item, it wouldn’t show an option to add them, and they weren’t even appearing on the screen unless I took a screenshot of the picture. The quality didn’t differ too much, so that wasn’t a big deal, but then as soon as I add the picture, the quality of the picture immediately turned grainy and blurry. I tried canceling and Uploading it again and it happened every time, and now I have a poor quality, grainy pic as my first review.

Issue with Snaps
I learned about this app from a friend, and got extremely excited when reading all the amazing reviews! I immediately downloaded the app and started to make my profile. When I began to fill out the Snaps portion of my account, there seemed to be something wrong like a glitch with that specific section within the app. When asked about which items I’ve used from a specific brand and after selecting the items I’ve tried, I went to click the ‘Next’ button, but nothing happens. I’d click it numerous times, but I was just kept on the same page and never moved onto another brand unless I selected the ‘Skip’ option. I hope this issue is just a bug and can be easily fixed because I really want to be a part of this community, and be able to share my knowledge on all the products I’ve tried!
