This is not the official Illinois tollway app!! As others have said, it's not any better and you pay more. No guarantee what they do with your info since they're not officially with the state and it's an independent company. Highly do not recommend using!!!!
I don’t know why this app exists, but it’s functionality is entirely duplicated from the official IL Tollway app and adds no additional value. Honestly concerned that I signed into this and that it could have phished me.
Everything we purchase these days gives us an online and usually an app option to make payments. This is the only one I know of that charges a dollar "processing" fee for a service that should be free and open to all because that's the right thing to do. Especially when the money we're putting in goes directly to IL tolls. Then on top of your EVERY TIME YOU ADD MONEY processing fee, if you want to say check which card you have on file, or check which cars you have connected to your iPass, it says "in-app purchase required". If the people who made the app are getting this money (they did the work creating it - understandable that they should be compensated), it should come from IL tolls. If the IL toll roads get this money on top of what we already pay while driving their roads... We've elected the wrong people. Unfortunately, I think it's the latter. Wish I could give this app negative stars.
I went to add more funds and the app is still showing an expired card and it would not allow to update within the app. So I accessed my account on my computer and lo and behold, I did previously have my payment method updated. It seems this app isn’t able even to synch up with the account. It’s a waste of space in my phone if it doesn’t even do the most basic task I installed it to do.
Have had this app for awhile , recently started having problems, when getting calls from toll way stating my account was in negative balance, but app showed I had $6:30 on my I pass , after reviewing my tolls , the app was not taking money off my account causing me to be in negative with Illinois toll way and they don’t play around and will send you to collections for 5 dollars
Works fine with my Iphone 12. Because I have six cars it would be nice to give nicknames to each license plate. Also it would be nice to allow push notifications when any of the cars go through a toll.
Got a mailing from iPass asking to keep current, loaded this app, found my login info, and logged in. Corrected my vehicle info with no problems. Gave a minor ding for lacking the option to login with FaceID, otherwise the app seems ok.
Why can't I remove old expired transponders? I don't need to see them any more, why don't we only see current transponders? Also would be nice to view by Car rather than transponder to figure out which is which. Instead you have to figure out which car you drove on what day and time to figure it out.
So, explain me please, how can I pay stupid tolls??????? Once you update your website it’s become impossible, only paybyplate, and that would maybe fine, if it would be able to setup! It’s impossible!!!!!!!!!! Make your previous website come back again. Your developers is bad guys. Because of them I’m just receiving invoices all the time instead of normal paying tolls on time

If this app would allow you to scan or even enter in an Ipass gift card, it would be so much better. It only allows you to put in your credit card info. It would also be nice if it kept me logged in so I can instantly open and see my info.
Since more than one year I am using this app i had no idea it is charging $1-2 for adding fund to your account. But actually if you can use online on web or official ipass app you would save these charges. Seriously please look at official app for better save your money
I have an iPhone and with the app if you have trouble logging in you can't reach the "trouble logging in" link because the keyboard is in the way and it doesn't allow you to minimize it to get to the button. And you can't click it when the app first opens only after a failed attempt at which point your keyboard is open and your out of luck!
OMG, take my money. I’m trying to give it to you. Your stupid site won’t even let me create a freaking account. I’d love to pay you if I could. This beyond ridiculous in this day and age. Fire your entire team and find some people who know what they are doing so they can develop an app and a website that is actually usable.
I had hoped this would offer a fast way to replenish funds. After paying for the additional features, it didn't give much information at all. And, when adding finds, the app adds $.99 to your total. That makes no sense when there's no value added. Better off just going to the website.
My card is expiring soon and I can’t even update it on the app nor can I even go to the web site keeps saying the info does not match our records I tried my account number several times and my transponder serial number and nope but I do have a active account
The app seems simple enough to emulate the webpage, an attempt to charge for information that should be provided for free seems dishonest (even if a private company created the app). Unless you feel the need to give more money away to an already expensive toll system, there is no advantage to have this app...you can check everything for free on your computer.
Can’t use Amex as a form of payment to add funds anymore
Since the app was updated, I can’t use my American Express card as a form of payment to add funds. I tried 2 different cards and selected American Express for the card type. Why the change? And if you no longer accept Amex, then remove the option.
App doesn’t remember password with I phone 12 and every time I try to log in it locks the account for 30 min I have to keep calling customer service to change password. So frustrating. This app used to work great but past week it it totally terrible!!
Downloaded the app so I could add funds to my account faster, but they want to charge a "processing fee". This is not a processing fee, because if it was, it would be charged regardless of what I use to add funds. So it's just the app makers getting greedy. Removed it immediately and added funds through regular browsing instead - no extra fees. Awful!!
This app is old and looks like it hasn’t been visually or technologically enhanced in a long time. Also, there needs to be an option to remove a credit card. And the minimum for automatic reload being $10 doesn’t really make sense.
This app truly lives up to the expectations of being state related. A processing fee? (imagine that in Illinois... another ******* fee!) I was glad to see an app finally, opened it, and was more disappointed than before. If you aren’t going to do it right, DON’T DO IT ALL! Save yourself the time and skip right in by this junk!
I can’t make an account on their website I put it all my info and then press the “continue” button and just deleted half my info. So I tried this app to maybe make the account through the app but took me to the same website to make an account.
Worked beautifully the first time, then each time I wanted to access the app thereafter I had to delete and redownload to get it to open. Hope this can be fixed soon or I will just permanently delete.
I'm ashamed Illinois State toll highway authority (ISTHA) charges to use any features within this app. It should be a fee app to allow you to access your account. You made the choice to use their transponders. If you really need to access and app try switching your service to EZ-Pass. The transponders work nationwide.
I used this app for years not knowing its a 3rd party app and I was being charged $1.59 every time I added funds to my account. I deleted it today and downloaded the original Illinois I-Pass app with no charges. Be aware of additional charges.
I downloaded app hoping it would be easy to check account. Nothing links. There is no information on how to link. I log in and it shows nothing even though on computer all my information is there. Time to delete app now.
Why would an app be designed that forces you back to a website in order to change auto replenish? Third party charges for adding funds. This is a useless app.
It doesn’t need to do too much, but it does the things I want it to do. Lots of reviews about extra fees but I just use auto replenish set up on the website so I don’t need to ever manually make payments. I’d give an extra star for each of these: 1. Name transponders 2. Name vehicles I manage a number of transponders for my family so it’d be nice to be able to name things so I knew what was what.
Since October my ipass account stopped working . I can’t add money on the account . It doesn’t even show the tolls I have taken . Tried going online on the website but it just stays frozen and logs me out . What can I do , I don’t want to get any toll violations .
Good for one thing: checking account balance. Everything else (i.e. things that are free on the website) requires a purchase Do yourself a favor and bookmark the website on safari instead of downloading this atrocity of an iOS app.
They did a website update now the app is disabled, and has been for 2 weeks. I used the app for screenshots of my receipts, to bill the customers. I want a refund. I've tried calling, 10+ minute wait. I've emailed; no response. Typical Illinois for us.
Spoke with a representative in management for Illinois tollway. This app is not affiliated with them Illinois tollway has tried to bring it down and remove their name from it, however they have been able to undo so so far According to my contact. Scam scam scam unless you like spending money needlessly
Since the update it has only opened once! The reason for this app was to be easy. No I have to go to the website now. And can’t call because no one in the call center due to COVID-19 (which I get that). Please fix this!!
Wasted my time downloading this. Needed to add a vehicle to my account, but found out I have to pay to use that feature. I'd rather do it on my mobile web browser and save the trouble.
If I could give this app a rating of zero I would. Not only is the Illinois tollway website impossible to use but the app is also just as useless! The app shows nothing and just says to go to the Illinois tollway website🤦♀️

This app is not associated with Illinois tollway whatsoever. Ever since I used this app, I have had a multitude of fraudulent charges on my debit card. Stay away from using it for convenience and log into the authentic IPass website.
App doesn’t work. Website doesn’t work. Is this an Illinois ploy to get some cash by fining everybody for unpaid tolls by not allowing them to pay for said tolls? Ridiculous. It’s been days and days and days since I keep trying
This app charges a .99 cent transaction fee. If you go through their website, on your phone, their is no fee. The app is no different but than their website as far as function.
Downloaded with the expectation of making things simpler, but this is only good to check your balance. I'm not paying for something I can do on the website for free! Completely useless!
