Easy to use! I enjoy exploring KOA locations by using the map but you can also search by location or certain amenities. From there it’s easy to tap the campground you want to see. When you’re ready to book, just select the type of campsite you want and put in your info. Done! You’ll receive a confirmation by email. I know this seems simple for this day in age BUT some other camping apps I have tried are surprisingly unfriendly to use. The other cool thing when cruising the map looking at campgrounds, the KOA map is chock full of details! More so than what you see on your phone map. I found a bunch of cool places and things to do just by zooming in and exploring the spaces in between campgrounds.

Good app but don’t upgrade if you have ios12

I was having trouble booking a location in Colorado, so I updated to the latest version-against my better judgement. And of course it doesn’t work. Here’s what happens. After you sign in with your account. And go to a property to book a reservation, the screen goes to a “trouble logging in” page, with the only option to “login”. Tap that and it goes to your account info, not to the booking screen with the steps to reserve a spot. I spent several hours messing with this to find out the new update doesn’t work on an iPhone 10 with iOS 12. It does work on my iPhone 7 iOS 15. Please either fix or allow us to downgrade to a workable version. Enough with removing all previous software versions. Be proud of your progress and show your work, like your math teacher used to tell you. As I messed with this for several hours the sun kept going down on a day I could have been getting my rig ready for a cross country trip. Thanks for keeping me indoors on a nice day. Mom would have been yelling at me.

Ease of reservations

I can’t say enough about the ease of making reservations or even cancellations (COVID restrictions). I was spending days/weeks trying to book reservations for a 5 week tour around the Great Lakes areas last year until I hit into the KOA website and I joined! Now we couldn’t find KOA campgrounds for all of our stays but the ones I found were, one website, search and done! All of them were great! This year we are doing the same! Today I made reservations for four weeks of our vacation! I really like the deluxe sites with the grills, patio and furniture. Now if you want to camp in a tent, go for it, but we are RVers and KOA is the way to go!

Love the KOA app!

I don’t know how many times this app has helped us find a KOA when plans have changed during a trip. No more do we have to go online and scramble to find an available campground at the last minute- only to find out the office is closed and there are no online reservations. There are so many KOA campgrounds to choose from, and the way this app describes each campground, the amenities, and full descriptions of available sites, as well as being able to immediately make the reservation - makes it very easy to find an enjoyable place to stay. We have found places we love and have returned to, that we wouldn’t have found without this app. Love KOA!

Trust and confidence

We always look to see if there are KOAs along our routes because we have confidence in the security, quality, and service at these RV campgrounds. It is evident there are core standards these parks follow. Have had great experiences each time we’ve stayed at one whether it’s just an overnight or an extended stay. Love the app to make reservations and explore the options. We have a 5th wheel now and use the full hook up pull through sites. Been staying in KOAs since the 1990s when we traveled with our kids and dog. Now it’s just us so our needs are different as seniors, and KOAs don’t disappoint.

I Wanted To Like This

I reviewed this a few years ago and today tried to use it for the first time since. I really wanted to like this and hoped it would be convenient way to make reservations. They’ve made changes/improvements and updates since my last review but I still couldn’t get a successful reservation. I followed all the prompts and answered everything including entering credit card info and then it just stalled out. I hit the back button and reentered everything again and thought everything was OK as it said I’d receive a confirmation via email. Well I waited and waited with no email received. Finally picked up the phone and called the campground and did it all the old fashioned way. You folks are wasting your money and our time on this useless app.

Essential for full-time rv’ers

We live in our fifth wheel full time and are constantly traveling to see the sites in this beautiful country. The KOA app is essential to me when traveling, either for a one night stay or for an extended stay. I put a city and see all the options, chose one for info and reviews. The app even remembers your previous “searches”, saves all your present (and past) reservations so you do t have to remember when you are staying and holds your KOA membership and rv info so you don’t have to input it each and every search. I use it almost every day!

KOA…the best!

My family camps frequently, but we don’t necessarily like going to the same location over and over again. We like to explore, but finding privately owned campgrounds can be tricky and time consuming. That’s what we like about KOA’s. They have a standard. No guessing if the bathrooms are clean…plenty of amenities depending on your camping needs…and great locations all over the northeast (that’s where we live) and the US. Don’t waste time trying to find a private campground on subpar websites. Just use KOA. Enjoy their app and rewards program to make camping easier and more affordable.

Informative & Easy to use

The KOA ap is so handy! It’s easy to see what KOA campgrounds are near our traveling route and book ahead. The ap shows what each campground has in amenities and whether food is available at the campground. Camp addresses are listed, which we load into onboard navigation. Phone numbers and office hours are also listed in case you here are questions or changes. Our bonus points are listed, too, as well as a history of camps where we have stayed. Anyone who is a KOA camper should get the ap.

Consistently user friendly!

We are traveling by RV for several weeks and have discovered that many non-KOA RV parks are impossible to contact. Some just never answer the phone or call back if we leave a message. Others only use email. By contrast, the KOA website is easy to use online or on the mobile phone app… even while barreling down the highway. And we have learned that KOA is consistently trustworthy and provides everything we need. We are switching over to KOA wherever we can.

Easy to use

We like to KOA because of the security and cleanliness. The people are friendly. Our only drive would be the rates. Not lowered for no amenities available. No pool no hot tub no clubhouse no bathrooms. They close the bathrooms in the long term section. Being handicap that’s very inconvenient for me. Otherwise everybody is nice. They do charge my family five dollars for a car and five dollars for everybody in the car. Which I don’t agree with. When they’re only coming to visit for a short time.

Crystal regular KOA camper

My experience with the KOA’s have been wonderful. The people are always helpful and accommodating. The facilities are well maintained. If your RV needs to be service they usually have someone on staff or they have a RV repair person within reach. It is an inexpensive way of traveling the country with similar Ike accommodations of a hotel. Many of them have swimming pools, exercise facilities as well stores within the camping ground that has food and other supplies. Some offer daily breakfast and pizza.

This app is good but I gave it a 5 star because of the camp I LOVE IT and it’s soooo fun we go there every year theres a pool and also there is a ice cream place and a gift shop. Another place where you can play volleyball, basketball and more there also is a lot of play grounds. And you can go boating, fishing, biking and more and you can also bring whatever you want. And there’s a dog park so you can bring your dogs. It’s only 7 dollars a person. So If you are thinking about going camping and don’t know where I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND camp KOA!!!!!!!!!!!!♥️

Camping with KOA

Camped here many times and love the staff. That have been super in assisting and have moved our site to our convenience when possible. My issue is that is getting more pricey for us. We are seniors and do not use any of the amenities. I realize there are a lot of things for young children and their families. For the seniors they are no use. Our families live nearby and love staying there on our way through. It is convenient, but we are beginning to look for some places that are not as pricey. Thanks.

Kamping KOA

I love being able to make reservations with ease. For some reason, if I want to modify or cancel you can’t. So you have to call up the location to cancel which can either be a nice call or not! (Maybe there is a reason and I don’t know of) You also have to go into your past reservations to count your points which is a pain to see your yearly points instead of your total points. (That are shown) If the app could show yearly points and total points it would be helpful.

Camping and cabins

I would like to say that I've enjoyed staying at various KOA's and have enjoyed them all. We used to camp with trailers but do to my health issues camping with trailers has become an problem. So we have recently starting staying in KOA cabins when possible. Recently we stayed for three days at the KOA in Lafayette, LA in a handicap accessible cabin and the place is well kept. As to this app, I'm well pleased. We are planning a trip in late July into Aug. and we have already made several reservations. Thank you for all.

Makes traveling easy

So far this has been my go to app when traveling. Finding a campsite for our RV towing a truck is so simple. I Favorite different places to stay on the way back. I’m going to back up - being able to put in our information once for everything, #ppl, #pets, pull through space, length of space, hook ups… is something that no one else has (that I know of). Try it. You’ll like it 😁

We love camping at KOA even before the app! With the app it is so much easier to find KOA’s where we will be traveling and all the information about that area. We recently moved to Colorado and can’t wait to check out all the KOA’s here in the west. The app is so helpful with the camp grounds maps and dates they are open for the season. We will continue to return to the Benton harbor Koa several times this summer. It’s our absolute favorite. They are so wonderful sweet and very friendly! Our best memories were made there, and we need more. Cause several of our family members passed this fall and winter. And my mom has cancer she was diagnosed in September. We need some more one to recuperate and get the sadness away and we can celebrate there lives and hopefully my mom will be well enough to come with us.

Family Friendly

Had so much fun with our kids playing pool, table tennis, and mini golf. We explored all over the grounds, donated some books, played on the playground, and enjoyed some snacks from the “store”. The employees were all pretty friendly AND patient, as our kids act more hyper and feral 😜 now in public following the isolation of the pandemic. Everything is aged for those expecting all the bells and whistles. For me, I spent the whole day chasing my kids around from one activity to the next. I got my moneys worth!

Simple to use for a first time KOA customer

I used the app to reserve a one room cabin for Memorial Day weekend. The process was easy enough. There are a few clumsy slots, going back and forth to compare and get prices for the different options, but I was able to complete the process on my own. This will be our first time camping at KOA, but we hope to do a lot of tent camping this summer, and I’m already looking at the other KOA campgrounds in our state. We are looking forward to the experience!

It has yet to fail us.

Since the time we’ve started using the app it has not once failed us. We use the app to pick a destination to end the day on. Amazingly enough there was always a KOA somewhere near where wanted to be to start our adventure the next day. Last year (2022) my wife and I traveled from Iowa to Memphis and up to the East coast. This year we are heading toward the NW coast and like last year, using the KOA app and its campgrounds.

Peaceful Stay

So we came in late at night and they had our package available to pick up. Had no problems finding our spot. We have a 37ft travel trailer with a extended Ford 250 truck. So we are pulling a very long load. The location was so easy to drive through and set up. And the view is simply amazing. Definitely on our list to come back. The staff was very friendly and informative.

KOA App

Although we have occasionally stayed in KOA locations over the years there are two things that I highly recommend to other travelers. The first is JOIN KOA MEMBERSHIP (we did a few years ago) and the second is GET THE APP !!! This trip had been measurably better for us, having the APP on my phone and iPad. Looking up the next site and reserving on line is so much more efficient and easy!! 5 STARS :-) !!

Great value camper application and camp grounds

My wife and I returned to camping in 2022. We toured the northern US in our new Thor Magnitude GA class c camper on our way out to visit with our son and daughter-in-law in Denver. All the KOA campgrounds were pleasant and a pleasure to camp out in. No surprises, which is why we used KOA campgrounds for our first big trip. Thanks for maintaining your standards and keeping up with modern tech. All reservations we made went off without complications. Campgrounds were well prepared to get us settled in promptly and we were all hooked up and ready to relax within 1/2 hour of our arriving. App is convenient

I travel around a lot and KOA is always there. The app makes everything a lot easier in finding what I want and booking. My only complaint is that I can’t amend a reservation once made. Like if last minute another guest joins my group would make things really easy if I could add or subtract from my party right in the app/reservation. Otherwise it’s simple and easy. Thanks KOA!!

Convenient/Thorough

I love using the app to plan stopping points along our way. Using the KOA map to view locations gives me an easy way to make sure we have a reliable resting point on long trips. Being able to view them all with pictures and reviews is great! With a large rig we always know KOA will have adequate accommodations. I also like being able to view my upcoming stays.

No reservations

What I need from this application is a way to look up all of my reservations. I’ve booked 4 different reservations at 4 different KOA locations for a road trip, and it would be nice if I could see all of those reservations in one convenient place, rather than printing out four different reservation documents. Then, this app would make sense: It does provide good information on each KOA location, but is designed for searching for new destinations. It is not able to provide any information on existing reservations. I’m deleting the app.

Love the app!

The app is very user friendly! We use the individual directions from each site as soon as we exit the highways to ensure we don’t encounter any low bridges or tough roads to navigate with our fifth wheel. This is definitely a koa plus, otherwise you have to purchase and rv map app. Also you can view the site maps to choose your spot! All around just a great app :):)

Easy booking

This app is so user friendly and keeps track of your past and future stays. With the exception of when the app is updated and signs you out, and then you have to go through and reset your password to see information on your upcoming stays. Which is kind of a pain when you have hit and miss internet. Anyway it’s easy to use and book a site or price compare to another campground.

Cleanliness & Staff

I retired 4 years ago and decided I to start traveling in the US with my wife. We invested in a used travel trailer to do this. We started with 5 day adventures the first year, and only at KOA’s. This was a Great choice. The second year, we did a 4600 mile trip and about 4 months of RVing. Almost all at KOAs because of cleanliness & great staffing we experienced. This year we purchased a 2021 Jayco 27RL, and plan more travels and stays at KOAs.

Opportunity for more

Excellent app. Only 1 thing I would like to see as an option. When looking for camping personally I would like an option to put in the dates I would like to camp and see what campgrounds are available. I spend a lot of time bouncing to different ones to try and find availability. If it could be narrowed down to certain campgrounds available it would save time, and help book again.

Always a good time!

We received our KOA membership as a benefit with our roadside assistance card. Unfortunately it has been dropped and is no longer included. Not a problem, we will continue to renew our KOA membership on our own. It’s a great value and the locations are always in the areas we visit. KOA Rewards

Overall the app is wonderful. However, I find it really annoying that the app has no way to remember my KOA rewards number. I have to enter it every time, even though the app remembers everything else like the length of my rig, whether I’m bringing pets, etc. I guess it’s just a way for them to try to finagle me out of the 10% discount. I really hope this can be fixed so that the app is far more convenient and usable. If I am searching multiple campgrounds, I have to put in my rewards number multiple times just to compare.

We love KOA’s

Traveling with my kids, we have found the KOA’s are usually nice and have things for the kids to do. The app makes it easy to find campgrounds and check them out before staying. Also the KOA rewards is worth every penny. It paid for it’s self in the first two stays we booked. I wish I would have gotten it last year as we traveled the country. Glad I have it this year!

Stops along the way

Weather planning road trips or destinations my first stop in planning is with the KOA app. I’ve learned that I get high quality accommodation, a friendly staff and there’s always something that makes the stay positively unique, plus a fair value for my dollar. I never worry about the KOA places I choose, from first time to repeat visits I’m never sorry I chose KOA along the way.

Works great, love the map

As an avid camper I have several apps I enjoy using, this one is by far my favorite. Most of my camping sites are booked out almost a year in advance and this app helps me with both booking and planning my trips. Being able to setup a user profile (size, slides, ect) helps to ensure I have booked a site that will accommodate my travel needs.

GREAT 4 FAMILY w/ KIDS

Nice play area, indoor pool, mini golf, activities for kids such a gem mining, and even breakfast ( you have to pay for but nice option). Parents can relax knowing their kids are having fun! The showers are beautiful & LARGE! The bathroom itself is VERY VERY SPACIOUS! Carol at the front desk was super helpful!! We are from TN & doing a cross country road trip with our 2 young daughters for homeschool! She was able to accommodate us in our 1 night TENT SITE & we are thankful !!!

Crashes - Update

Updated from 1 star to 5 - Fixed- Make sure under Settings - KOA that cellular data is turned on and use my location while using app and everything will work. Also 7 day or more update will update. Recent update must have turned it off???? Original Review - This was a 5 star app until very recent. Keeps crashing and several options do nothing.

Works great. Provides useful information.

Best part for me is that it keeps track of my reservations in a date order list. When you click on a reservation in the list you are provided with driving directions, campsite map, contact information, etc. Very handy, don't have to pull out my computer!

Very easy!!

Campgrounds are easy to find, there’s photos for the properties and surrounding areas and amenities are shown. You choose everything from trailer size to #of people and pets. Very easy! I like the fact that you can see the campground map and maybe see how close each site is, especially if you go to google maps!!

Great but needs…..

Found the app great and easy to navigate and use. I would love to see being able to change/cancel a reservation online. When you book multiple nights in multiple locations and need to make a change to one of your bookings, you have to send an email or leave a message and you do not know for several days if is received/changed/cancelled. This is frustrating. Would also like to be able to add my KOA membership number to a future reservation. This would make it so much easier than spending time doing this when checking in. Pretty new to your site, so these are the 2 important things, in my opinion, that would be extremely helpful to add. Monika

Easy to find camps and book

I have planned this trip, staying at as many KOAs as we can. It’s been easy in the app and when I had to make a change, all the contact information is there in one place with the confirmation number and the dates I booked. I’m happy with the app performance overall but there were times it seemed to hang and I had to close and start again.

I’m loving the app

This is an awesome app. I love being able to see all of the KOA campgrounds across the country in one place. The photos are magnificent. I like to stay for 30 plus days so I only wish those rates were available without calling. I have also found that sometimes the app says there are no vacancies but if you call there is. Other than those two things, the app is great.

Trip Planning

This app saves all my reservations. It saves my profile. Check in at KoA is a breeze. They don’t require all sorts of terms and conditions signed. Cancellation policy is straightforward but you do have to call the campground. I get several options prior to booking. You can also book a specific site for 10$. It’s a breeze.

Amazing!

On our trip down to Texas we stopped at the KOA in Foss, OK and stayed in one of their cabins instead of staying at a hotel. The cabin was super clean and super cute. Nice restaurant and the staff was really great. The kids loved sleeping in the bunks and the bed was super comfortable. I think we will skip the hotels from now on. KOA is the way to go. Check out the campground in Foss. You won’t be disappointed.

Works great after KOA told me the fix I needed!

This app has work very well for me, especially since I got the one bug fixed that was irksome in the early stages. I asked KOA's IT people why the "search for nearby campground" simply would not work on my iPad, and I got a quick and accurate reply. After applying their suggested fix, I have had no problems at all. This is one of the more helpful apps out there in my experience. Keep up the good work, folks!

Good app with some minor flaws

The KOA app is one of my go-to tools for finding RV sites with full hookups. It’s always easy to use, but there is some information that is missing. For Kampgrounds that are closed part of the year, it would be helpful to know when you can start making reservations instead of just having to try over and over again…

Great access to all KOAs from app and easy ability to find campgrounds. Two improvements would be ability to search across campgrounds in certain area for availability instead of having to search individually. Another improvement would be the ability to modify a reservation without calling the campground.
