UPDATE: BOTH suggestions were implemented!!! Thank you - 🙏. What follows is my original review/suggestion: “Can you consider these updates: 1). When I’m listening to KPBS, the audio continues to play even when I choose to play audio from another app - there must be a way for you to offer me a setting in which I don’t have to go back and pause KPBS, but that it automatically pauses when another audio is played? 2). PLEASE fix the lack of landscape display - IPads are almost always in landscape (horizontal) mode when docked, and KPBS doesn’t detect the portrait or landscape motion and change. If it has to be “stuck” can’t you stick the Ipad app mode in landscape vs. portrait?”

Quality media, current events, news, educational and local (or international) news content that is community centered, balanced, age appropriate and clever, and is on the forefronts of many critical issues…let’s make sure that we support PBS. Thank You!

App easily provides local San Diego, regional California, and US national news. Really enjoy the coverage and much easier to access news than through the NPR app…

I use this app only for streaming the news. However, it buffers often, just stopping the news midstream. It also often tells me it’s playing when it’s not so I have to pause and play multiple times until it actually plays. It also drives me crazy that advertisements just interrupt the news broadcast, causing me to miss parts of the story.

In an era where many big city newsrooms are laying off journalists and millionaires dictate what gets reported and what doesn’t, I trust Kpbs to serve the interests of the community with integrity.

Love the app; but very annoying it consistently crashes after five minutes of streaming. I’ve deleted and redownloaded and checked for updates, but it still crashes.

It’s great for when I want a quick review of local and national headlines, straightforward in true NPR fashion -and I like how North County gets its own section, too. I also love the arts and culture coverage.

There’s not a better newscast being reported than KPBS.. Reliable, Trustworthy, Accurate, Timely, Professional news being reported with Integrity, Honesty and this “IS NOT FAKE NEWS”, by any stretch of the imagination!! Keep up the GREAT work and I’ll continue to donate and lend support towards the goal of reporting accurate and professional news from around the world! I’m and my family are partners! The new version of the office is terrible. There seems to be way less content. I don’t scroll around looking for things anymore. I can’t find my local stations to listen to anymore. Don’t understand the change.

The app is very nice when it works, but it is very annoying when used in an area where the cell network is weak. The app does not reconnect properly when the signal becomes stronger. Usually I have to force-quit the app to continue listening.

using the app is extremely frustrating but it stops working a lot, gets caught in a loop and repeats over and over again. same with the internet live stream. the only time i can ever listen without issue is in my car. very frustrating.

I love everything about KPBS and their balanced a fair reporting!

I’m generally unable to listen more than a few minutes before there’s an error. I deleted the app and went back to HD radio instead, which can be static-y. 😕

I use a different app for streaming. I do not use this app for podcasts because it cannot fast forward or rewind.
