I love this theater so much. When we heard the news that the old Laemmle Theatres 7 in Pasadena was closing, all of us art house movie lovers were very disappointed. This theatre was a very important part of the Pasadena Playhouse District in Pasadena California. Our concern was for good reason… because we very nearly lost that building to more high-rise condos, as if Pasadena was in need of more of those. When we got word that Landmark Theaters was moving in to save the day, we were all thrilled! And I was waiting with baited breath for it to open. It is finally here! it really would’ve been fine if they’d just moved in and just continued on from where the Laemmle left off. However, Landmark Theatres has made wonderful and significant upgrades that are very enjoyable, including comfortable recliner seats in the screening rooms, and a bar in the lobby. My sincere hope is that the community will all unite to keep this wonderful theatre open for good!
I love the films they offer and that you don’t have to pick your set when you pay. We would all like to know what’s going on with the renovations they have been telling us about for months. There has been nothing to show for it for months. The snack counter is pathetic . I still go there, but not for anything other than the films.
It’s a simple app and I can see times easily. The things I want aren’t there unfortunately. - the ability to use keychain to easily add my credit card. If I had know I’d need to go and grab my credit card to enter the details manually I wouldn’t have bothered with the app in general, I would stick to the browser. Add Apple Pay or at least keychain functionality so I can easily enter my cc info - ability to save my cc info for checkout. It looks like I’ll have to renter my cc every time I purchase tickets. Adding it once it fine but every time is a hassle. -location amenities. I know most locations are the same but seeing what is there beforehand, and without calling, would be lovely. For ex, knowing my location doesn’t currently have the bar/lounge open would be great to know. Or even just seeing the limited menu as I really wanted a pretzel. Would also love be able to see which locations are still doing free popcorn!
Old fashioned theater in downtown Albany. Small staff and cozy snack bar with popcorn featuring real melted butter. A bit run down compared to the movie plex but only game in town for fans of independent and foreign films along with the standard big box releases. Usually closed on Mondays. Rarely a crowd and often only a couple of people there during the weekday matinees. My personal home away from home on any day that I feel like being transported from Smalbany to some other place and time.. and a haven during COVID with such a small crowd there. Easy parking in the back and occasionally when there is a big sell out there is extra parking just beyond the theater in the back. Heaven for the movie lover in Albany!!
You have to input your city every time you open the app. So in addition to saving that it would be good to be able to save your favorite area theaters And in the case of Philadelphia where there are three, it would be really convenient to see all of them on one page rather than clicking on each individually which takes a lot of time and it’s difficult to compare what’s playing in the different theatres that way. And to add insult to injury, when I tried to leave a comment for the administrator of the website regarding this, the submit button wasn’t even clickable! And since apparently they are not on any other apps such as Fandango anymore, which has the professional level functionality described above, this app is the only way customers can see their movies schedules and info :( I see so many negative reviews here and can only hope that the company will take them to heart and put some money into a decent app that their fine movie offerings deserve!
Tried to leave feedback within the app itself, which proclaims, “Easy for you to give us your feedback” Not so much. After putting my info (required) into the feedback form, then writing my feedback into the comment box, the info I’d filled in above went missing. Filled in everything again; the submit button still didn’t function. Re: the app—It’s bad. As of this writing it is rated two stars. When can we look forward to a completely new Landmark app designed by people who actually use the app regularly? The app needs to work for regular people, not software engineers. Step one: the app should open into a user specified home page focused on the user’s identified location and user’s identified favorite theaters, NOT a search page listing all cities and theaters alphabetically.
Overall the app works really smoothly. I love being able to scan my tickets, it’s easy to select movies and times and favorite theaters, etc. The biggest frustration is having to add your credit card number every time you buy a ticket. I usually see 1-2 movies a week and it’s frustrating to have to input it over and over again. There are definitely times I just abandoned the purchase because I didn’t have my card accessible. Once that option arrives, this will be a great app!
Aside from the theaters, this app is cumbersome and actually unusable from my iPhone. I try to purchase tickets and I get an error saying that ‘the CAPTCHA failed’. However, there isn’t any CAPTCHA for me to fail on. I went to the theater and asked the assistant manager to help walk me through it, but she’d never actually seen or used the app. She did see the error message though. She said she would pass it along to someone but good luck with that. I would think there’d be some type of training for customer support, just in case. I’ve seen worse apps, but perhaps I just expected more form a premium theater chain like landmark.
Both the Landmark Theatres app and website work inconsistently in allowing customers to purchase tickets. Sometimes a transaction won’t process via the website, yet will via the app. Sometimes neither work (as was my experience this morning, twice via the website and twice via the app). This has been an issue for a few weeks; I’m writing this on December 21st, 2023. I’d be surprised to learn this is the first time Landmark Theatres is becoming aware of the problem, so what explains the delay in creating a fix?
Landmark Theatres is a very good theater chain application in that it easily allows you to look up locations where they are located at as well as view showtimes, theatre rentals, purchase tickets, view gift card information and more. The design is simple yet effective allowing you to navigate mainly by way of the bottom menu. The app also contains information about the theatres in general allowing those unfamiliar with the brand to see why they are different from other chains.
Gentle down to earth full of tenderness on the shared journey of the husband victim of Alzheimer’s and his wife on the journey of his diminishing memory as time passes, reflects the deep compassion prioritized in Hispanic culture. An amazing non spectacular inner documented journey of the two walking and talking through the continuing ravages of the incomprehensible loss of cerebral function.
I use apps for other movie theaters and don’t have as much difficulty using. This one takes ages to load. The tickets appear in duplicate and the movies I have seen aren’t listed or listed twice or listed with the wrong title. The rewards are not accurate and NONE of the staff are able to help. I can’t seem to get rewards when I'm purchasing at concession because they don’t ask if you have a rewards card but they easily suggest people sign up.
I love Landmark Theaters, but this is an awful app. Upsides: - The schedules for the theaters are up-to-date. - There is a great amount of info on each film (including trailers). Downsides: - You cannot save a credit card in the app, so every time you want to buy a ticket you need to reenter your info. - My account in the app is not in-sync with my Landmark account, so points don’t allocate appropriately in-app and tickets I’ve purchased are not reliably in the app either. - The app just redirects you to the Landmark website for all purchases, so it isn’t useful for these tasks. Moreover, a Landmark gif continuously expands that you need to close whenever it redirects you to the website, which is annoying. I hope the app improves! I use it all the time, but each encounter is such a disappointment
The website doesn’t function well on an iPhone screen. So I thought I would download the app, assuming that would function better. No. Just as glitchy and hard to view as the website. Tried to login. Was giving me an error. Got logged in. Tried to sign up for loyalty card. Given an error and can’t put in payment method. Tried three times, gave up. It’s pretty sad when you want to give money to a company and their platform is so poorly set up it won’t let you.
This is the buggiest app I have ever seen. It is borderline useless. I have a voucher sent to me in email which is impossible to use in the app or at the theater. It is also impossible to edit my account details - lets me edit them but when I go to save reports “An error has occurred” (not real informative) and does not save the edits. The loyalty club would be a great deal if you could only spend the vouchers you get as a reward, I cannot. I’ve tried every way I can think of. Customer service is unresponsive.
What are all of these 5 star reviews?? We are reviewing the app not the theatre. I love the theatre and love their membership perks. BUT this is the worse app I have ever used. It is so glitchy, it never loads the correct times or locations. My tickets never appear in the app. I have had to refund my tickets two or three times because somehow the app glitches and purchases tickets for the wrong day and time. Thank god they have a good refund policy but they have got to spend more money to fix this app.
This was my first visit and the entire team on Saturday night for the Rocky Horror Picture Show were terrible. I was dressed as a Transgender and they made me feel very comfortable. I will definitely visit again. Thank you Team!!!
I know Landmark is rolling out their new loyalty program but this app is impossible to use with their current one. There's nowhere to log in or see how many points you have (the website is also glacially slow and has no "account page"). The ticket and seat reservation process is comparable to the Arclight (RIP), but the app is so clunky that I won't be using it until it's actually functional.
This isn’t really an app. It doesn’t allow the use of Apple Pay and doesn’t store credit card information therefore you must enter the credit card information every time a ticket purchase is made. The layout and functionality is clunky and not very user friendly. There’s no way to track Membership Credits either. Basically, buy your tickets at the box office.
First, I’m so glad you guys are open to in person movies. Second, I could not get the app to take my credit card. I was using American Express. I could tell the way the numbers were formatted on the form that it wasn’t right. I was able to purchase via the web using the same credit card.
I love Landmark but the app is awful: clunky and malfunctioning: signing in (if you’re lucky) is a chore in itself, easy navigation is impossible & you can’t get easy access to see where you have your reserved tickets. If only they can get this app on the level of what AMC, Regal & Showcase have, it could be wonderful. Evidently the last update was 6 months ago. They need to do better.
Love this app, love going to Landmark theaters. But I can no longer see what showtimes are on the app at my local theater. It’s been a couple weeks and no update.
As of now this app is unusable. If you sign into your account, even attempting to open the app at all causes it to crash within seconds. A shame because the actual theatres are great, but as an app it is completely and utterly unusable. Hopefully they can push a fix for that, but you’d be better of using the website.
First off you can’t just throw an app wrapper on top of a web view and pretend like that is going to work. Second, if you do that it shouldn’t be too hard to update it. This app doesn’t support the iPhone X screen. Third, do you need me to select the theatre every time I open the app? Why don’t you remember or why can’t you ask me for my location and guess that I only care about locations in my state. Fourth, how do I retrieve my purchases? Oh I know I should just check my email because this app is vacant of all intelligence. Do. Better. This app makes the MoviePass app look like an amazing gift from the Gods.
I see that a couple of years ago, the developer was looking into fixing the app to use Apple Pay, and to retain credit card info. Those features are still not there.
No Apple Pay, no stored credit card (you have to re-enter every purchase and it doesn’t even allow you to scan the card or give you a numerical keypad to make typing easier). AMC wins more of my business these days simply for having Apple Pay on their app. There’s nothing about this that is better than their competitors’ apps.
How is it that there is no way to login to one’s Loyalty account in this app. I have purchased a Loyalty membership for $20 and movie tickets via a web browser. The purchased tickets don’t appear anywhere in the app. Where’s the ability to add a Loyalty card to Apple Wallet? What’s the point of the app? AMC‘s app is simple and efficient. Take a look at that one and make yours usable.
This app used to be great but if I could give it zero stars today I would as there is no longer any content… no movies, no theater information, no ability to do anything. Have tried un- and reinstalling but nothing changed. Wish it would work again!!
This app was an afterthought or it was created by kid
I always start a review with a score of 5, and start from there to deduct stars, if need be. It was easy to purchase tickets and reserve my seats, to what is a well kept, modern movie theater, with friendly staff. With that said... · TOO BASIC: The app brings no additional functionality, all it does is work as a browser that directs you only to the landmark website. · LACK OF DESIGN: The website design leaves a lot to be desired, even the app logo leaves a lotto be desired. · LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY: It makes not attempt to integrate with other iPhone apps, e.g. Wallet or Calendar.
Something is always broken on this app. It offers you the ability to share previews with others by messaging them but none of those links ever work! Today the sound on the previews doesn’t work. It’s always one thing or another.
More than once I’ve seen wrong movie times. Also twice went to theater to find it closed. Corporate arbitrarily decided it wasn’t worth being open so they closed without notice. Entire staff was sitting in lobby but no movies being shown. Very disappointing!
I used to enjoy going to Landmark theaters and I went at least once a week. They felt like ‘home’ to me. But now Landmark cinemas have became scarcer & scarcer and I have to drive farther & farther. I prefer independent films, arthouse films, foreign films, small films. I miss them dearly.
Paid $20 to join the loyalty club but when I tried to use it I was told at the Landmark Theater in Glenview, IL. that it wasn’t operational yet and they didn’t expect it to be operational until sometime in September. Isn’t that the very definition of fraud? To accept my money for something the company knows doesn’t work?
Prior versions of the app allowed browsing among movies or browsing local theatre. It shows the town with my local Landmark Theatre, but does not find the theatre and its listings. Search by movie gives an empty list. Typing the name of a current movie in the search bar does not work.
I use this app often, I love the Century Theater. Here’s my list of issues: the app does not save a payment method. When inputting your charge card info you have to tap the screen repeatedly in order to advance between fields. Pls fix the app as soon as possible.
We recently had an old Bow tie theatre purchased and reopened as. a Landmark theatre. The theatre is nice but they don’t use the giant marquee out front nor the website nor this app. They don’t have ANY movies listed for Annapolis anywhere! Are they trying to fail? Pretty lazy company.
Opens and then crashes on the first click, every single time. Completely buggy and useless, so unfortunate. This is on an iPhone 14 Pro, less than a year old.
This is not a real app. Don’t waste your time downloading. I thought I was being really dumb because I couldn’t figure out how to log into the My Account section. I contacted Landmark by email. They confirmed there is NO WAY TO LOG IN to your Loyalty account in the app.
Seats in theatre were literally disgusting, like you would see in a junkyard. Seat of row in front is so high it cuts off bottom of screen from vision. Sound was awful. It was disgraceful that money was taken for these seats and theatre.
