My 4yr old LOVES little critter! I try buying new books for him when I can but they get to be expensive. I stumbled onto this app and I instantly had a whole library at my fingertips, and interactive one at that! It’s so neat!! You are given the option to have the books read to you, or you can record yourself reading for your little one! Your child can tap on objects from the illusions and the narrator will tell them what the objects are called or will name the action being portrayed in the pictures.. they can tap on the words for repeating and more. Such a fun app for me and my son to engage in together! It’s perfect.
I love these Oceanhouse media book apps--and this one is wonderful too. Not only does it make reading extra special for my kids in unlikely places where I only have my phone on hand--it is a really safe and easy app for kids to use and navigate. My children have never been frustrated by them or been stuck in an ad-loop. The content (the books) truely shine. Little Critter books are perfect for new, young readers and toddlers. What great stories, made even more magical!
This app is very easy to use and has all of the options I was hoping to find (read to me, read by myself, and auto play). The app offers a subscription, or you can purchase the complete library for lifetime access. I chose the latter. We love all of the books. This will be a favorite with my kids for a long time! So pleased with this purchase.
Very disappointed in this! We love little critter and we’re so excited to get this for my daughters iPad. I was looking forward to also installing on my phone for use out and about, we purchased the whole collection and then I found out that because her iPad has its own Apple ID we can’t access the books from my phone with out paying for the whole collection again. What is the point in allowing the free app to be part of ‘family sharing’ if the subscription can’t be used across family devices. Deceiving, and silly.
I love the Little Critter books! This app is so nice because you can either read the books yourself or have them narrated. They are nice if you are in a car or a doctors office and your little one is getting antsy. Great app!I recommend this to anyone who loves these books. Oh and I love the narrators.
I remember reading these in kindergarten and now I am in middle school! Even though these aren’t my book level I still love to read them for fun like honestly! 🙂
My daughter has recently fell in love with these Little Critter books so this was the perfect for her. Easy to navigate and super fun! We love to find the crickets, spiders and mice together.
We love Little Critter and all of Mercer Mayer’s other books too! Wonder if this app could have Little Monster and… Professor Wormbog… and Liza Lou?! Keep up the good work.
I read books all the time & I do not stop reading all the time! I also read books in the “real side” because they are good for kids! Although,... WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SUBSCRIPTION!?!? I just really want books for free, but I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT TOO!?!?
I purchased the lifetime subscription and haven’t had any new books added in a long time. My children have all of the ones in the app memorized. When can we expect new books to be added? Thank you.
Can not share in app purchases with my daughter and wife.
I refuse to purchase due to that fact that I cannot share through family sharing. I have a wife and kids with ipads that could all benefit but I will not purchase the same books that many times over. Terrible.
My kids LOVE this app. However it was purchased on a now outdated iPad and the purchase will not transfer with family purchases. Wishing we could have it back
Just bought all the books, best deal honestly with having so many little ones still. Awesome app. Great interaction, sound effects and I love how you can tap things and every item shows what it is. I bought these ones and the dr. Seuss ones as well. Very worth it. Great job guys!
What a great app. I use this for teaching young children in Japan. They immediately stop wiggling around and pay attention to the wonderfully Little Critter stories adapted to the iPad. I have one big feature request that would make my life easier: Allow users to sort books by downloaded. It's a real pain to search for a book I already downloaded among the listed ones. Please let me sort by having downloaded books at the top of the list.
It's hard to find apps like this where so many books are included in a single download. I am really looking forward to sharing these stories with my students!
Don't get me wrong, this app is a good deal, especially if you buy it permanently. However, they do not add new content when it comes out. For example, the Valentines book has yet to be added even though it came out a few weeks ago in its own app.
