JoJo & Chip are my dynamic duo heroes

I am a believer in Christ. A lover of youth. A pursuer of aesthetics. Aren’t we all? I refinished my basement per Gaines’ standards (I do believe) and have many friends with similar abodes. I have yet to make such a Mecca to the annual sacred destination but as my humble pastors wife did so for her bday last year, I have to keep up and perhaps visit for my Sept 22 one. Hers is before mine and I know she adored it. She’s a gifted and photographer, her husband also a former one in NYC turned Bible college student in the middle of nowhere. Then he went to youth pastoring where I volunteered under him for 4 years and now senior pastor of a church called The Springs Church, Colorado Springs. I’ll be heading out by road trip perhaps on Oct 26 for a road trip and wonder how people get the chance for bday meet and greets. Haha. You guys are such warm-hearted, down to earth, salt of the earth entrepreneurs. I love your creativity and chemistry. I’m read your book and once dated a guy almost identical to Chip in appearance AND personality. And many times I responded like JoAnna. Haha. Thanks for the impact you continue to have, the commerce and work you create, the love you bring to your sweet family and the world.

NO PAIN, NO GAINES!

I don’t honestly even know where to begin with you two. First of all can we talk about TRUE entrepreneurship at it’s darn finest! Joanna thank you for your beautiful and exquisite taste making the simplest thanks beautiful all over again. Chip thank you for your hard physical labor you’ve put in. I’m so proud of the work and dedication you two put into EVERY PROJECT you do. I will always ALWAYS be #TeamGaines. I guess I should mention my love for the app after all that’s what this section is for. Thank you for making the Magnolia experience mobile and portable. I love magnolia and family! Y’all are the best the world has to offer in regard to People! Chip and Jo y’all are each other’s yin and Yang and I hope to never see the day anything or anyone would come between y’all! Y’all are magnificent. Your style, your craft everything y’all touch prospers and is excellent. God bless y’all for what y’all do publicly and privately that only God knows about but I have a feeling he’s got a pretty big surprise for y’all and a good one. Who am I. Just a simple lady raised in the country born in the city who likes to think I know the good lord above and the good lord above he rewards good people below on his footstool. LOVE LOVE LOVE

Ok, I do not write reviews AT ALL! BUT the Magnolia network has been a mental vacation from a toxic world. Everything from For the Love of Kitchen, Growing Floret, Magnolia Table, Art in Bloom, and several others have given me a much needed reprieve from political drama and an uncertain world. The production of these shows puts me into a place of relaxation and a visual escape! No overacting or overexcited hosts that just annoy me. I never knew how much a persons voice can change an environment until recently and how many woman’s voices actually annoy me! Men, I now get it! Honorable mention “The Craftsman”! What an amazing man! He touched my heart more often than not! He is what makes our world a better place. We all could take a lesson on humility from him! Thank you Chip and Joanna Gains for giving me a priceless gift and producing these shows in a way that makes the audience feel like a close friend. Real people, real lives touched!

It has been an honor to watch you grow as people and raising your family with the love of Christ as the Central focus. I know it must have been very difficult with a growing family, tv persona, and all of the wonderful changes that have occurred since first coming up with the idea of televising your lives! I am grateful, and personally, you have given me hope in God, my future, and that it really is okay just to be myself. Joanna you did that for me. Great entertainment and great shopping!

I love Magnolia and have always enjoyed what the produce! It’s beautiful, family-focused and shows they care about the individual. Their app has been super fun and easy to use. Simple and beautiful, with everything Magnolia you need in one place. The shows are super fun, telling beautiful and authentic stories. Just wish it wasn’t during Covid that so much was filmed! Would love to move on from that shenanigan. But all in all love the people and the stories they chose to showcase, gives me hope for the world and humanity! Ps. Please, enough is enough of Clint. I think it’s safe to say he has been given one too many opportunities for a show and there’s a reason they aren’t sticking...

Beautiful UX

I wasn’t aware that I had access to the workshops on the Magnolia app through my Discovery+ account until Hillary Walker mentioned it in one of her IG posts. So, I decided to check it out because I love everything that y’all have been putting out on the Magnolia Network. I’ve been working in digital marketing and communications for over 10 years and I have to say that the user experience is top notch on this app. You guys nailed it! I found what I was looking for with so much ease and the entire experience is simply beautiful. Thank you for putting so much thought and love into everything you do - it truly shows!

Wonderful

Jo and Chip taught me so much through fixer upper and inspired me in the design of my home.. and then I started watching Jo’s cooking show and found a whole new inspiration!! I love a beautiful kitchen but never really had the passion to use it… and cooking definitely requires passion. So I’m immediately ordering her casseroles and bowls and pot holders and all things organized and decided to host thanksgiving all with her recipes. It was such a hit, and so satisfying to feed my family such delicious food, I became hooked! Not just in the fantasy of being a cook, but in the reality! So here I am, eagerly pre-ordering her next cookbook and I can’t wait!!

Great app

I love having the magnolia app, makes it so easy to shop for gifts and for myself! There is a bug though I’d like to report. When you are in a category shopping, and add something to your cart, when you go back to continue shopping you are taken back to the top of the category in which you were shopping. You should be able to go back to the last spot you were at. So if I add item 100 in the list of 200, I should be brought back to item 100 instead of having to scroll back through the first 100 items again.

Impatiently Waiting

It’s 2:20 EST on July 15th. Looking forward to Magnolia App to watch all these new amazing shows that have been previewed on Discovery+ app. Just went to down load Magnolia Network onto my iPhone from the link provided on Magnolia Network website, but instead of the network, I’m linked to the Magnolia store for home good shopping. Will try again in a few hours. Always snafus in beginning. Once I’m able to access the TV network through the link provided, I’ll bump up star rating. 2:27… something changed! I’m now able to see more about the TV shows zero. Woot!

Inspired

I’m a 68yo retired RN feeling lost after 2020, I stopped taking all my classes, carpentry, floral arrangements and baking. I’ve become depressed sitting in front of my tv sick of watching the same old thing then along came you with these beautiful people and their stories and they have given me back my inspiration and energy to not give up yet. I’ve been through a lot but want to hold on to each lovely day I’m given. Beautiful app but not intuitive to navigate

This is an absolutely beautiful app from an aesthetic standpoint, but it is not intuitive to navigate, especially for shopping. It always takes me forever to find where items like pillows are located because the categorization doesn’t make sense. Similarly, it is not easy to find “favorites” as they are at the very bottom of the scroll where fine print like customer service contacts are located. Finally, I’m not sure why this app always shuts down background sound on my phone when it doesn’t seem to have its own sound playing.

My app of choice

I LOVE JoJo and Chip and the kids, I love everything about her cookbooks, I once drove all the way from Florida to Lawrence, Mass to get a recipe from a Italian Grandmother who was the cook in her and her sons small dinner, not actually a dinner you went in and saw what you want and enjoy eating. Arancini Wow it’s in your cook book. I just signed up yesterday for Discovery+ just so I could watch your shows, my husband loves watching it with me because of Chip. New App stinks!

First I tried renewing my magazine subscription. Nope. Can’t. Apparently my name is on their system twice so I have to have my subscription number - which is printed on the wrapper you throw away and not on the magazine. Great. I will not be getting any more issues - so now I have to call to try to work out the problem. Then I filled my cart with over $200 in items to purchase. I clicked “proceed to check out.” It won’t proceed. Instead I get an error that Shopify says the item doesn’t exist. So one by one I remove each item - hoping to find the one that doesn’t exist. But apparently none of them exist. So empty cart and no way to purchase what I wanted. Done. Not impressed with the app and don’t want to waste any more of my time on it to find out what else doesn’t work.

Cooking help!!

Thank you so much for being my cooking companion! I discovered this app on my maternity leave. I’m gluten-free, have a daughter with diabetes and a few that are super picky. I have been cooking like a pro…well that’s how I feel, trying the Magnolia app recipes. I watch the episodes, get inspired and use the app or the Magnolia Table book and go to work. I’m trying things and having success…..and I may have gained a few pounds eating my own food!

I deleted the app

Once upon a time you were my favorite show. My daughter even flew three of us to Waco so we could visit Magnolia. We bought so much that we had to ship some of it home. I never missed an episode. But , sad to say you went away; at least for me you did. I didn’t know, at first, we had to pay. Was so excited to get to see you again, but that didn’t last. I had to delete the app because I just can’t add the cost to my cable bill. I’m 78 years old and just watching basic cable. So just like that….ZAP……gone. Say it ain’t so, but it is.

Love ❤️

I absolutely love everything Magnolia!! From their network to their pajamas! Every time I go into Target, I go straight to the Magnolia Hearth & Hand section and just look at everything. I love the aesthetic. I have watched Fixer Upper since I was 5 (I’m 13 right now) and have always dreamed about having Chip and Jo fix up my house. I am hopefully going to Waco Texas this year to have the full, in person experience at Magnolia! Love you Chip and Joanna Gaines!!

Best app ever!

I have been enjoying the shows and the shopping. However it would be nice if it were a stand alone channel so we wouldn’t have to get all the content on discovery plus that isn’t family friendly. I look forward to more new seasons and shows and the magazine subscription is a real treat every season! My trip to the silos was a dream cone true too. Keep up the great work!

Amazing App but can’t open

This app is well organized, easy to navigate, and most importantly visually appealing! My only issue is once I open it and close out every time after I open it the screen is black and I have delete it and re download every time. Such a hassle and it never used to do this until a recent update. Not sure that’s going on.

In this world of mixed messaging from global leaders and a television system corrupted by political funding, it’s great to just get back to the basics of making the most of our moments, radishes don’t care what race you are, shiplap doesn’t argue who is allowed to enjoy it and sweat equity still has a value you can trade for goods. The favor on you has breathed sweet wind beneath so many’s wings. Your vision continues to land, reverberating around the world. Congratulations, thank you, we need you on the heels of these last two years. Well, we just need you guys! I used to dream many lofty things. Now, like so many around the world....I just want a house that the Gaines built. Keep it up. You’re collecting a lot of crowns in heaven. I adore this network!

The workshops make this 100% worth it

I love the Magnolia shows, but the workshops are SO incredibly helpful. I love the interior design ones with Hilary and the foundations of cooking and baking bread. Even a workshop on buying vintage! I really hope they’ll keep the workshops and expand, I’m learning so much! The only wish I have is that there was a “remember my login” so I don’t have to log in every other time.

Magnolia, I need more Zoe Bakes, Magnolia Table, Homegrown, Ranch to Table, From The Source, Growing Floret, Van Go, & Fixer Upper Welcome Home. I have discovery+ so I’ve seen every show. They are All good, but those listed above are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITES !!!! Sorry to see the Merediths go, but I get that it’s a business and they need to get their stuff under control, and not affect a brand new channel launch, so I get it. Keep up the good work.

App is not user-friendly, whatsover

Shopping through this app is miserable! There’s a ridiculous delay for every single item you click on or add to your cart and the “search” feature is near impossible to locate! It’s at the very bottom of your screen where you have to scroll allll the way down to where you’d find the “Help” section. Not user friendly AT . ALL. Most of the time I receive an error when Im trying to shop until I ultimately just give up. Magnolia has lost countless sales from me due to the operation of this app while trying to shop.

No download option

I know its hard to believe, but there are actually lots of people who have to go sit at a McDonalds to submit school work or attend zoom calls. The least a subscription could offer is a downloadable content option so i can view some feel-good shows while lying on my couch at home, or have something new for the kids to watch on a long drive. One star for Magnolia and Discovery Plus until the change is made. It’s a little ridiculous that they chose not to include downloads in their apps. Looking for recipes

I just opened the app after its recent update, and I actually saw a section that said find a recipe. Unfortunately, it wasn’t visible when I went to another section and went back to the beginning. This has been happening for months now. Then I went to the help section and tried to send an email. It wouldn’t let me send one, so, I started a chat session, which was absolutely useless. This is getting ridiculous. Why is so hard to find recipes on your app?

Portrait Orientation Only

This app is identified as working well for an iPad but only if you want to use it and hold your device in portrait mode. Its clearly intended for a phone rather than iPad. I don’t know about anyone else but my case is not designed to hold my device in portrait mode but in landscape and this app just like instagram is portrait only. So — I wont be using it. Phone too small for good viewing and not a good user experience on my iPad. So disappointed.

I’d like to start by saying I love the content in the app, however, every time I try to sign in with my iPad, the sign in page fails to load. It won’t allow me to sign in even after refreshing multiple times. It does this too on my iPhone but not as many times... I also have trouble resuming an episode because the page won’t load. (I’ve made sure it’s not my internet and WiFi )

Streaming is troublesome

The streaming for the app is a little tedious. You can’t fast forward, rewind, etc. while streaming. If you try to it starts the episode over and you’re kind of stuck. Also, it may be beneficial to continue playing episodes after you’ve finished one rather than a blank screen waiting for you to click on the next episode. Other than that the app is wonderful!

For someone who is constantly coming back to Joanna’s recipes without owning all of her books this is soooo helpful! I really appreciate that I can find them here. Also really love that the search feature is so accurate and brings up the different categories.

More than just products!

I love that the app has so much more than products for sale. Other companies push apps as just another catalog. It’s like a mini version of the magazine and channel. I can get video workshops, recipes and other reading material (plus of course shopping!) all in one spot.

Comfort at your fingertips

Pop! Rosemary and thyme and butter divine, the whims of magic fill my kitchen as I make my family a beautiful dinner. The biscuits from a can explode and that never disappoint and help me grab an extra five minutes to myself to surf the world of homesteading aka the magnolia app. Need a recipe for a quick meal?! The app says “I got you!” Want the perfect gift for newlyweds, the app says “done!” I have loved all the cookbooks and hgtv of this family and now I can make my own story as well. I hope to pass on many of these traditions for my own family. Much appreciation and love. A- (urmom247)

Glitchy

The app glitches constantly, it shuts down and I have to restart it. It doesn’t remember any of the shows I watch so I have to go through and manually select them every time. The “continue watching” list is never what I’ve actually been watching. You expect a good user experience from a company of this caliber, but it’s just not there. Also a lot of the shows don’t drop consistently. Or they just randomly stop midseason. Weird.

Damaged Items-No Refund

You would think people who show such great hearts on tv would resemble that through their shop. Unfortunately, this is not so when it comes to their customer service. Received damaged items and told I had to ship back in order to get any refund. I bought these and received just in time. As I am moving with no address due to where we are going, I cannot wait for a return. Very disappointed! I spent a lot and couldn’t get any compensation for something that is not my fault.

Magnolia- can no longer watch in App

The Magnolia app seemed to have removed the capability to watch their Network through the app. I had no idea that was happening!! I have discovery+ but could never watch anything through it since the app doesn’t allow you to cast to your chromecast on your TV. Not to mention the amount of buffering on that app makes it so painful to watch. Please please bring back the capability to stream through the Magnolia App!

Magnolia fever

I love being able to add favorite items to a list in this app. What I would love to see if an option in the cart like “move to favorites” or “save for later” so that when I have something in the cart but change my mind, I can still hold onto the item for when I may be ready to purchase.

Great content but glitchy app

I only use this app to stream a show via ChromeCast. While I’m streaming I can’t open the app without it starting the show over. Then I have to click on the cast symbol then click the picture and then it brings me to a screen where I can tell it to go back where I was which all takes too long. I have to try to remember to navigate away from the app while I watch and never need to pause. Please fix this!

Video Pausing Issue

I love the app and that everything is in one place. Only issue I’ve encountered is when pausing a show the audio continues to play while the video/audio for the episode restarts. The two audios then play layered simultaneously. Only fox I’ve found is to exit out of the app, restart the episode and fast forward to where I left off.

These are great shows. I’m really enjoying the continent here. I’m looking forward to them and even more programming. I think the diversity is also really really great! I love the fact that I can easily watch the stuff on my phone and on my television at home.

It was great while it lasted…

This app hasn’t worked for me since late September. I first contacted support in early October and was told that this was a known problem and that tech was “working on it.” There’s been no improvement since—all I get is a black screen when I open it—and there’s been no follow-up from you. I was hoping to use a few of the crafts and recipes for the holidays, but I’ll be looking for other resources. It’s a shame…I really enjoyed the app when it was functioning.

Nice app

Easy to use and I like that I can watch the Magnolia Network straight from the app. So far I haven’t had any issues with user experience. Everything seems to flow and I like that I can do multiple functions all on the same app.

Good content So-So tech

I had a hard time getting to watch the workshop videos. Many times it just shut down the app so I uninstalled the app & reinstalled it. It worked for a couple videos but then shut off again mid-video. It seems like it might be having trouble loading everything & so that’s why it just shuts the app off.

I enjoy watching Ranch to Table wit Elizabeth Poett and Joanna Gaines. I’ve tried several of their receipes with some was great then I don’t know what I did that they didn’t turn out right. They are so down to earth with the receipes I enjoyed their shows which I really miss.
