The place is really fun and has a great variety of cool and fun things to do and good prices. However, the actual app has been a terrible experience. I tried to download the app when I was in the actual facility because I saw the poster about if you get the app and reload the first time, you can get double the amount. So I downloaded it and signed up and then waited until we needed to reload. About an hour later or even less, I went into the app to reload and I kept getting an error every time I opened the app, I wasn’t able to sign in let alone reload the card for the convenience and double the points. I tried connecting to their wifi, still didn’t work. So we went home after I tried about 6 times. Once home I tried again and nothing!!! This was ridiculous, I kept getting some weird error message so I uninstalled the app and even had my friend make an account and the same thing, can’t even log in or verify our email without getting the error message. This is ridiculous and kind of took away from my experience at the actual place and me wanting to go back if I can’t use the app and all the advertised cool features
Since my family is driving 3 hours to one of their locations tomorrow, I’m of course trying to familiarize with the app, check out specials, plan a few things, ext. Unfortunately, it’s so glitchy or broken that I can’t even log in. It just keeps making me start over like there’s a bug issue. There’s several little things that it does that really makes for a lower quality user experience as well. I tried using the website incase the app was having unusual issues but I had the same exact experiences. I would love to be prepared before getting there tomorrow along with educating myself on how to get the most for our money. Unfortunately, I feel like I’m missing out on things that are available. I also tried signing up for emails to receive some free play time but after several attempts I have still yet to receive an email it says I should have gotten.
The app is slow or glitchy. I signed up and it took forever to verify then I went to sign back in and did it three times but it would just load and go back to the main screen asking to login again. I force closed it and tried again another two times until finally it let me in. I added a fun card and it asked for my card info so I enter it and I thought ok it didn't charge me because I'm back at the screen where you tells it with cash so I press $40 and add. I get an email saying $80 was added to my fun card and I'm over here like what the heck why didn't I get an email about the first $40 why is it $80 and I can't get a refund on my money. Just buy your card at the location don't use the app waste of time, it's going to infuriate you as well.
I was told that If I downloaded the app and created a account I would get free play time. With how much I take my daughter here and how much money I spend I figured awesome. But although I’ve done this it won’t allow me to login in through the app or website and I have not received the free play time promised. With how expensive this place is you figure they wouldn’t make it so difficult to access the rare promos they do offer. Smh even when I go to our main event the customer service given is terrible and when trying to get assistance they treat you like your burdening them. Ready to just go elsewhere. -Avon
Despite the current bug fixes, there is still so many problems with the app. Such as a more seamless experience with the Fun Card management. The Fun Card naming system is broken..it would repeat its text on the text box and removes the primary card selection every time. The card history is also not working, hence not loading. It’s difficult to trust putting payment on something that needs a little extra fixes.
Just downloaded it and can't book a Story Room because it crashes every time I click on the Reserve a Story Room button. (Devs: it already has my location selected; I am not "signed in or signed up" but will try that next time to see if it will go to the next page that way. Each time it crashes I have to start over all my app navigation.)
It looks like this app has not worked for two years. I tried downloading it and didn’t worked checked the reviews and everyone complains on the same issue that I’m going though but it’s from a year and two years ago. I’m guessing no one cares for the app but if that’s the case why even keep it open and why even advertise it. If a place like Dave and Busters can keep theirs running smoothly why can’t main event?
I submitted a support inquiry without checking the app reviews first. I thought there was an issue with my account but others are reporting the same sign in error on the app. The support team was of no help, they didn't seem aware of the issue and sent it over to the development team who said the app was now fixed and to try signing in again. No fix, still the same error.
They are a great bunch of staff, all of them were very supportive and happy to help us our first experience there was great. We are the Jordan’s family and we will attend again.
I’ve been trying to log in to my ME account for over a week now and the app constantly pops up “errors” and the website just keeps “loading” but never loads. It says there was an update for the app 1 day ago, but its not working any better. Its frustrating not being able to access my account to plan a visit soon.
Can you guys add a button to add any amount of credits to my card, my son only had 3 bucks left that he wanted to add on the app but it would only let him put $5, if you all could add an update that lets people put their last on their card would be great.
App consistently crashes, especially when checking out. Made sure to have the latest update (V2.0.9), it said those issues were fixed in the version description but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Again, Main Event is a great place but the app is unusable if you are trying to make a reservation.
Always loads but doesn’t always let me know. Prompts to enter email, password, fun card #, pin etc don’t load or show until I click on them. Fun card reload system down frequently and has to go to web page too often. Kinda stressful to use especially if you are trying to do anything in a timely manner.
Online booking did not work for bowling on multiple devices, so we downloaded the app and the app is also broken lol Also this is just about a specific store but we’ve called on many different occasions and no one has ever answered the phone either, so good customer service all-around for Main Event!
This app would be nice if it functioned properly. My fiance and I were trying for about an hour to book lanes for bowling and every time we entered our information it reset! If you do wish to book an activity with main event save yourself the trouble of downloading this app and just use their website.
the app has so many bugs it keeps giving me an error when i try to change the names not only that i went to my account and it always gets stuck in a loading screen
I’m still experiencing json errors and card errors! The recent updates did not help either! Was a good app until recently! I was at a ME last week and they told they had system issues, they weren’t able to view my points or credits which is concerning.
I just opened my account to check some card balances and several new cards were being added as I tried to check the cards I have. So I switched the password. More loaded cards appeared and I couldn’t remove them. So I deleted the app.
I get error logging in. This app does not function. Don’t waste your time. You are better off using the kiosk at a physical location. If the physical location did not work, then the place would be empty. Lol. I’m glad the app is broken if it means less people. Lol.
I tried to register but when I log in it throws errors. The app is frozen all the time and I have to reopen it. I really don’t understand why you would release an app like this that it can’t even be used
So I made a account 3 times and every time it would say wrong stuff but I would reset my password and it still wouldn’t work I recommend not getting the app and instead just going to the place
Used it to reload my fun card to take advantage of the double the credits offer. They took my money but never loaded the card with credit, and customer service is extremely unhelpful. Just use the in store kiosks.
Got new location in my area. Downloaded app bc plan to frequent but a week later, I continue to get app errors after I try to log in. Tried on don’s phone and same errors. Can’t do rewards when your app is crap.
I have an iPhone 10 so it’s not outdated and up to date on software upgrades so not a phone issue. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and this app doesn’t work for me. It keeps closing out as soon as I click on it.
I don't know if anyone's actually working on the app, but it sounds like they keep forwarding information to departments instead of getting the problems solved.
The main event app doesn’t allow me to schedule and reserve a lane for two adults for two hours or one at all. Keeps giving me a server error, please fix and correct this.
