Solid App but some recent issues.

Solid app with a huge selection, official manga by viz will be harder to come by but sometimes you’ll see a good amount however they won’t be updated to the current chapter. But besides that you can find so many manga and WEBTOONs that you can’t find on other apps. I recommend getting the ads removed because it’s just a one time payment. You won’t regret it. Serious ISSUE: this app sometimes has these x’s on the panels of either manga or manhwa which makes you unable to read the chapter. I believe this is a loading issue and I still have not found a fix. I’ve tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling but it doesn’t fix it, tried switching connections and that doesn’t fix it. So this app desperately needs an update. There is no support or contact for the app either so it’s hard to even post problems.

It bugged literally crashes every second.

I loved this app. I read all my mangas and manhwas from here. It’s a great way for me to keep track of them as well. However it’s been constantly crashing on my nonstop. It all started with crashing everytime I visit my favorite section. Which for my love of the app I just ignored it and worked around it. Then the mangas I click on wouldn’t load the chapters. So to work around that I’d have to manually type in the name on the search bar and click into them through there. And now it’s crashing on me regardless of what I do. It just gets worst and worst and worst and I’m trying my absolute best to continue to use this app through all the crashing and bugs it has. This has been like this months and I really do mean months!!! But it’s starting to get to the point where I can’t tolerate it any longer as I have no way to work around a crashing app that crashes me out upon opening the app… please what bugs and glitches have you even fixed as you “stated” in your patch notes. Cuz clearly not the crashing issues. They just get worst! I love this app. Please make it usable again. I will continue to stressfully use this app but please please please… fix this crash.

Improvements and Interaction

I’m torn because I really like this app and feel like it can make it big, like manga bird. However, I feel like more needs to be done in order to get there. Pros on this app include: wide variety of manga and manhwa not usually available on mainstream apps (which is the main reason why I installed this app in the first place), different reading styles (to accustom to different type readers), wide genre selection (including genres mainstream apps avoid), and easy to maneuver tabs and services (allowing better access to all available functions). Cons on this app include: Overbearing ads (you can get rid of them for $9.99), less convenient reading maneuvers (referring to manually clicking to read into the next chapter), and creator feedback (fact that people write reviews on how to improve the app and the creator gives no response as to whether they are fixing the issues or at least making an effort to manage them). Due to these cons I’m only giving a 3 star when I would like to give a 5. Hopefully in the future this can change and raise my review feedback.

Great Manga App

This manga app is very nice. It has a huge variety of stories. It’s very easy to learn to use. It has a search bar (only mentioned because I’ve seen some without) that can be used if you’re looking for something specific. You can search by categories like genres, latest releases, top views, etc. The downside is you can only search one category at a time. So you can’t define say the genre “fantasy” and status “completed.” If you select “completed” it will bring every manga under that category and won’t allow you to define other characteristics. It also has a “favorite” library where you can store all the manga you wish to come back to. It does come with ads, but if you want you can buy a one time ad remover for $9.99 USD. If you don’t want to, the ads are super short (about 5 seconds) at the beginning of each chapter. All in all, I think it’s a great source for manga lovers with some room for improvements.

Great selection but has issues and missing key features

I have been using this app for a few years now after the fall of manga rock. I think it is has some of the best selection of series to read you can anywhere but there have been issues several times over the years. Random crashes to images not loading for some chapters and most of the time the only way to fix the issue is the delete the app and reinstall but here is the biggest issue there is no way of backing up your favorites or what you have read so you lose everything had have to start all over. The other issue I have had is it has started to lose my place on series I have been reading. What I mean is if I have caught up on a series and I am waiting for new chapters and I go and read something else after reading a few other series my place on the first series will be gone. I don’t know if there is an active limit to how many bookmarks it can keep track of or what but it frustrating to lose your progress.

Pretty good 😊

The site has so many mangas! I really love it, but some mangas have certain chapters missing, such as night by the sea, but this it true for many sites if u try to read the manga online. Overall there isn’t that many adds and I has tons of books to read, if some chapters seen missing or off u might just have to google the chapter or attempt to find the chapter in another app. Some translations r a bit off but translators usually change every few chapters. It’s pretty good but not really suitable for kids, other than that I have been able to read all of my mangas with little too no issues, it is just the one book I’m having trouble with and that’s the reason I’m rating it four stars, I would of rated it four and a half but I couldn’t add the half! Anyway if u do get the app enjoy reading

Love but too new

I am not sure how long this app has been on the market but I feel it is fairly new and there are many bugs to fix. This app has all of the manhwa I am looking for but the search engine seems broken. For example I searched up 1/24 romance and nothing popped up, yet when I search up romance the manhwa will pop up. Also when I clicked on another manhwa, there’s love hidden in lies, no chapters are available. I think just incorporating a better/ easier to navigate search engine would be great. Even so, I do love being able to click on the authors and see what other works they have written, it’s a cool feature. Overall I think I just would like it to be more like the website: better search engine, for it to recommend novels similar to the ones one has just read, and an interaction component with others/ ratings we can give the mangas we read. Overall I love it though! So happy they created an app.

It’s alright

I moved to this app since my main go to is no longer available. The app is good, it has pretty much every series I was reading previously. One thing I would like added is a reset button, I like to go back and reread previous chapters or start a series over, but there isn’t an option to reset a chapter or series. So if you want to reread something you’d have to manually scroll from the last page to the first page which is annoying. The biggest and probably the only issue I’ve had is the amount of notifications. I do have a lot of series favorited but the updates are spread out. If I get one notification that one series was updated then I’d get constant notifications until I open the app and read that chapter. If the reset button was added and the notification system they have implemented was more refined then it’d be perfect. But right now it’s a 3/5

so slow

best app of its kind but it’s missing some VITAL functions, and it’s SUPER slow. when chapters update and you open the manga’s page but don’t read the chapter, the chapter notification goes away (the notif should stay until you’ve read it), there’s no sticky updates function (new UNREAD updates at the top), no download button, no mark as read or unread button, and everything moves SO SLOW. half the time the app will crash and you’ll lose all your progress for the past 10 minutes+. i paid $10 to get rid of the obnoxious ads but i have to wait longer than ads would take anyway for the chapter to load. when loading a chapter, during that long wait, there’s no option to exit out either, you just have to wait. also some titles are missing, maybe try to sync it with the new manga dex site. don’t get me wrong this app is definitely good, it just could be a WHOLE lot better. i’m at my wits end with this please fix it

Something to consider

Would be great if you could leave comments for each manga/manhwa/webtoon especially if you’re looking for something new. Occasionally, I’ll come across a broken chapter like it won’t even load or something like that. Or the translation would be so incredibly bad that it’s nearly unreadable. Would like to know these things before wasting time with ads for each individual chapter. Feedback is really important! Also, duplicate chapters are pretty annoying. I’ll just be reading through a chapter, then go on to the next by sitting through an ad only to find out the next chapter was one I already read, but by a different scanlation group. At least, has a sizable selection of good titles, so I won’t complain too much. There are most certainly worse manga apps out there.

Good app

First off good app, I find it easier to use than most. However there are a few things that can be annoying ads between chapters, I get it the developer needs money and ad space is a way to do it, however between each and every chapter is a bit annoying especially when reading a web toon that is literally 4 pages long it’s four pages 30 second ad 4 pages 40 second ad 4 pages 30 second ad. Secondly while you can browse by genera it would be nice to be able to filter out manhwa ((botched spelling) (Chinese manga) from Manga, I get that some people enjoy both but I do not, just not my cup of tea. As of a few weeks ago the app is no longer functioning like it should, I can no longer browse by genres I have to browse by ongoing latest or the other 2 that are on the primary page. When going to the genera page it says “no data available” . And before anyone flames me yes I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn’t fix it. TLDR: Pros -in app counter of updated chapters when manga is a favorite (super nice) -good quality translations -UI nice and clean not clunky Cons - Frequent Need to be refreshed when reading chapters often shows up as a black screen -Fix: Top right corner re-click the reading style -Ads after every Chapter, regardless of chapter length

Great except for a few problems

Honestly this app is great, it has most mangas that I’m looking for, and it has a ton of categories. However the reason that I had to give it four stars is that it has a few problems. First, there’s just two mangas so far that have had this issue, they won’t load properly. Each chapter multiple chapters won’t load, and even if I leave the app and return they still don’t work. However if I give it about half an hour then go back in then I can get a good chapter or two before it does this again. And it’s just these two, no others have this issue. My other problem is that there’s no way to contact the creator to report these problems or see if they can help. Despite these issues it’s a great app for being free.

Good catalog but…

Missing what I think of as obvious end user privacy features. 1. Give me a way to reload pages that don’t load correctly without backing out of the chapter. (If this exists make it more obvious how) 2. Give me a way to one click clear the whole search history, or automatically clear it when the app is closed, because privacy. Pressing a zillion x’s annoying. 3. Give me a way to clear the “continue reading” or reading history. Again, because privacy. There is a lot of assumptions in this app that the device users don’t share their devices. There needs to be more privacy options for the end user, not about data the developers collect but attention to what can be visible on our end. Although if the developers are collecting anything more than what’s needed for bug and crash reports and the minimum data for transactions… why?

It’s a really good app

This app is really good. Very similar to Manga Rock and you can easily read the manga and manhwa. But the reason I gave it a four out out five is cause if some very unfavorable functions. 1. Every time you click a chapter or go to the next chapter, there’s an ad. I mean it’s fine after the first couple of times then it starts to get really annoying. I understand that the app needs ads, but too many is not good. And to get rid of the ads it’s $9.99. 2. You can’t automatically go to the next chapter. I feel like this should be a thing cause it gets tiring to always have to click to go to the next chapter. 3. I feel that this app should set up some accounts to save your favorites. Like you delete the app or you’re on another device. You could have an account to backup all the manga you’ve read before easily. Overall, this is an amazing app. I like it and I would recommend some other manga lovers to get this app. But those were some of the things that I felt needed to be fixed.

Decent but far from great sadly

It’s an okay app. 1. Wish you could put more than one genre to look for. Like action, adventure, fantasy. But can only do one. 2. More manga sources. More manga sources= more books. Not a lot to choose from on here. 3. App keeps crashing or having blank screen for minutes or until I close the app and restart. 4. When I didn’t pay the $10 for no ads and it went blank screen I would keep getting ads non stop. 5. If your reading in webtoon style or vertical I wish you could just drag down to go to next chapter. Right now you have to click the screen and hit next chapter. It’s fine as is but wish it could be more fluid. But please get more manga sources. ❤️ Sorry if this sounds harsh. I just had to start using a new app after iOS stopped supporting my app I used for 9 years.

Good app with a few issues

Updated review same score The old manga app I used for years got taken down so I moved over to here and it’s been working alright. It’s had most of the series that I look for. The app still crashes way too often especially when you go to the next chapter in a series, and sometimes you’ll be stuck in a loop of it crashing immediately after launching. Then there’s the fact the manga you follow will bug out so they won’t show updates for them unless you unfollow and find the series again. Another very annoying bug that happens constantly (especially with newer chapter releases) when the bug happens on average half of the pages of the manga will be random pages from other series, you could be reading a romance slice of life manga and a page will randomly be gore from a psychological horror or just gay porn.

To many ads

Really excited to have an app of my favorite website but after each chapter, there’s an ad way too much ad. It makes it to where this app is not worth it. Now I tried to open the app, and every single time I go to the favorites it shuts off reboots and does it over and over. It’s got some major bugs that they need to get on and fix or this app is not gonna go far, I like the selection I have a lot of favorite saves to it but with being able to get on it actually use it having to watch an ad every single chapter I go to without canceling it and re-going through it is not an app I would recommend it is not an app I would want to keep I would go through and find all of the ones I like go to the website that has pop up after pop-up and start reading them there without as much hassle as this app is got

Great app but has some issues

As many other reviews have said, this app is great and it’s only a simple, and cheap, one time payment to remove ads. While I highly recommend this app, I’ve stumbled upon a few issues that prevent me from giving 4 or 5 stars. Issue #1: There isn’t a feedback button (from what I can see) that easily allows you to contact the devs about any bugs or features that would be nice or need fixing. Issue #2: There are some times where various literature won’t load or work properly and results in giant ‘X’s to display on each page that fails to load or be put into the database of the app. Currently nobody has a solution for this issue and it likely requires an update to the app or whatever the app uses to store and retrieve the literature from. Issue #3: Sometimes various literature won’t update correctly and will say there’s a new chapter available but when you tap on it and go to the list of chapters the new chapter isn’t listed. I’ve waited for weeks and I haven’t been able to see the new chapters yet. If the developer is reading this, please look into adding a feedback system so we don’t have to write reviews to make you aware of bugs like the 2 I’ve mentioned here.

After the update, everything went wrong for me

I would had giving it a better rating but after the latest update, all mangas/webtoons would be black screen or X, when you click the arrow to the next chapter, sometimes to fix this you would have to exit out, clear cache or click the next chapter then go back, even then it doesn’t even work at times. It’s so Infuriatingly inconvenient as before the update, it was working fine aside from webtoons being black screen and x on them. Also to note occasionally when I would try to search anything, It would give no data, even going into genres tap and click on like action would give no data. Like I said after the update, everything went down the drain for me. If you were to do another update please did this issue

The buggiest update yet

This latest update has been the absolute worst. When I’m lucky enough to be able to open the app, it continues to kick me out and freeze or stick in an endless loop of loading that never goes anywhere. so wish I could go back to the previous version, but I’ll probably be forced to delete and redownload losing all of my favorite and having to find them all over again despite purchasing the ad-free version for $10. Stop trying to fix what isn’t broken. I’d much rather have a bug here and there to deal with than barely be able to use the app at all and waste $10 and hours of my time trying to make the thing work. I’ve literally never written a review before today, that’s just how disappointed I am. I will say, when the app is firing on all cylinders it’s a pretty decent and would deserve at least a three rating.

Loading Errors

Overall the app offers a wide variety of books including bxb and explicit books with mature content BUT after paying for the $9.99 no ads forever version I’ve been having a problem with the chapters loading. I did not have this before I paid for the no ads version but suddenly this problem has popped up. I am starting to get really frustrated because the loading has basically taken the place of the ads, if I’d known this would have happened I’d have just kept the ad version. So far there are no app updates so i don’t know if this is just a me thing or if others have had it but can’t file a complaint. This is the only way I can read out to them so hopefully a developer sees this.

Just Incredible

I’ve never been much into reading manga/manhwa before, but whenever I was in the mood to start my explore, none of the apps I installed gave me what I wanted until this gem. This app is incredible, even though you get add-ons after every chapter, you’re able to basically find any Asian comic book out there it seems. Personally, I’ve never read a book for more than maybe two to three hours but, when I finally was able to read a very certain manhwa this app allowed it to glow. I’ve never sat down on an app or book for 12 hours just enjoying every minute of it. I truly thank this app so much.

Best app I’ve found so far

At first, I downloaded the app because I needed some manga to read, but this surpasses my expectations by a ton! My other manga apps have glitches where some chapters just never load, so I miss some stuff, or very late releases, or it just doesn’t have any manga I like, and just the popular manga. But this app, so far, hasn’t glitched, all the chapters I clicked on loaded so far, and releases that I didn’t know about for some of my fave manga are here. The only bad thing I can think about is that every time I change or enter a chapter, I get an ad. That’s somewhat annoying, but overall, I would recommend to get this. Keep it up!

Not worth using

The all overall isn’t horrible, it has a wide selection of mangas and doesn’t always have problems but it has some serious issues. The way they have designed the page to find manga or terrible, finding new manga to read takes a while, the majority of what you see are webtoons that get updates every hour so their always their, also 80% of the webtoons their are yaoi. The app is always very slow when you try to do anything, loading up a single manga chapter sometimes feels like your loading up an entire book. A lot of webtoons have entire chapters that are blank, also I paid the 10$ so I don’t get any ads but if your not gonna pay like me then just don’t use the app at all, there’s like 3 ads at the end of every chapter.

Works pretty well. Just desperately need a sync function.

A pretty good app all things considered. Runs very stabley on both my iPad and iPhone. However, the fact that I'm using two devices is a bit annoying. This app doesn't have any sort of cloud sync. So jumping between reading on the two devices consists of manually syncing where I am in chapters. It doesn't even sync favorites. Which is very annoying as well. My only other real problem with the app is it doesn't have a rotation lock or allow rotation to the opposite sides. Just landscape one way or portrait another. Isn't the sickest. Overall though this app is fine. Just needs some really basic features and it'd be far better.

Great Variety Inconvenient Viewing

It’s app has fantastic stories, and plenty to read, even for a reading-binger like me. However, viewing is irritating as the chapters appear very zoomed out, and I have to zoom in to read each page. Then, when scrolling through while zoomed-in, the page shakes, and it’s harder to turn to the next page. This constantly breaks my sense of disbelief. I wish I could change the view settings in preferences so I could spend more time immersed in the stories rather than adjusting every page so I can see the text. An automatic zoom setting option would greatly improve my experience in this app because it would automatically appear in the viewer’s preferred size and get rid of the shakiness while scrolling.

It was a good app but

This was a good manga app, adds a good variety of genre. The ability to save mangas and chapters was there. But it stopped working. Clicking into a manga shows no chapters. The mangas aren’t readable anymore just like place holders. Doesn’t recommend anything. Don’t know if it just broke on me but it was pretty upsetting. Has lasted for the past 3 weeks. Update: manga is now showing up. I can click into them and chapters do show up. Only problem now is that some mangas have chapters that don’t load at all. Showing pages of the white X because it doesn’t load in. Glad it’s better then before but can still use work

Great service

Lots of free reading material, and the format is pretty convenient. Ive gotten days worth of reading out of this, and the ads are minimal and sometimes wont appear at all. Its mostly webtoons available to read, but theres some decent manga on here to. Its an essential service to anybody who wants to start reading webtoons and manga for the first time, and its free. Its not completely free of problems, as sometimes certain pages are unavailable and I’ve had it crash on me more than a couple times, but I still give it 5 stars since its the best free manga app Ive found so far and Ive gotten a lot from it.

Liked the app but now it’s to buggy

This app was my go to for finding and reading things. But now it hard to even open the app without it crashing. And when you do get in, you can’t even click on the things you are reading without having through the whole process of find the story again. If you can that is, sometimes you can’t find it even if you type the exact name into the search bar. Another part to that’s is that it sometimes just decides to take said story off even if you already have it saved. I don’t want to have to go through the process of deleting the app all over again because it then delete everything I had saved. PLEASE have a look at this. Thanks

Great app! Missing some features, though

I have been using this app for a couple of weeks. It would be the perfect manga app, but it is missing some features. It would be great for better searching, or at least the ability to filter multiple genres. I also approve of the 10 dollar one time payment to remove ads, which is much more preferred than a subscription. Actual reader works great. Would be nice to just swipe into the next chapter, rather than pressing the arrows, though. Anyway, I recommend this manga reader over most others (they are getting harder to find on ios these days)

Some issues but still good

I really enjoy reading manga using this app. It does have some issues with loading pages sometimes, but overall it still works well. My only suggestions would be to add a button that allows us to mark a manga as unread so it is easier to reread a series instead of having to scroll back to the start on every chapter. Either that, or make it so that when you finish a chapter and hit the “next chapter” button, it automatically goes to the first page of the following chapter, whether you have read it or not.

Latest Update

So a new update rolled by that pushes notifications about new chapters and it was cool at first, however after the 3 time it would remind me in a minute’s time was rather annoying. The new update also appears to lag the loading on different titles and covers so navigating between multiple titles become difficult. At this point i wish i could roll back to the previous update. The only positive i can list would be the increase on stability. So far the app hasn’t randomly crashed on me when reading (this crash would be rather rare but annoying since it would erase any progress i made when reading numerous chapters).

Won’t let me restore my purchase

Honestly, such a big fan of this app and didn’t have too many issues with it since i was patient. Definitely experienced similar things to others such as the need to reload the app to enter a chapter, having blacked out chapters, difficulty with some bugs- but the final straw has to be not being able to restore my purchase. I purchased the one time removal for ads and had to delete the app since it was glitching THAT bad. After redownloading, I hit “restore purchase” and it wouldn’t process my request. Closed the app, refreshed, tried again. Repeated that like five times- still didn’t work. Ultimately clicked “Purchase” again and it worked immediately. Don’t understand why it’s accepting purchases, but can’t restore old ones.

Glitches

I used this app everyday for quite awhile and while it did have its glitches it was never too bad. Until today. Today I tried picking up the same title I was reading last night but when I logged into the app it would immediately crash and kick me out. After about 10 or so tries I figured I’d just delete and redownload since nothing else worked. Once I did that I was able to get back in to the app which was great till I realized my entire library of 200+ titles was completely gone. Hoping it’s just another glitch and they’ll be back but if not this is probably my last time using this app.

Love it

I love the app and it is my go to for anything I want to read. I just wish there was a way to report mangas or chapters. Some people upload a spacer (an update, but just with a note saying it’s not a real update and just in place so that it wouldn’t get uploaded automatically from somewhere else),some upload the wrong manga or chapters, some are not even translated for that chapter, and other times people put whatever or advertise their site rather than putting up a chapter. Other than this, and some quality of life things, it is a wonderful app.

Keeps Crashing, whenever the internet connection fluctuates

I like this app it’s been the best among most readers that I found on the Apple Store. However, this app keeps crashing whenever there is a change Internet, so if I change from Wi-Fi to data of vice versa, the app would either take a very very long time to load or just crash. This is very annoying because when it crashes it no longer remembers what you were reading and where, so if you started a new Manga and it crashed that manga won’t be listed in your recently read nor would it show you the progress of how many chapters you have read. Please fix it. Also many times the chapter will not load and an X will show up signify that you can’t read it. The workaround I have found is to completely shut down the app and reload it but sometimes it never works, and it have to result to finding it on the Internet somewhere else. Despite these major issues I like the app please fix it so I can continue to read much longer. Also, I paid for the premium version so I feel like the performance should be better not worse.

Good but some amazing issues.

Great selection and the user interface is super friendly and uncomplicated, a rarity in most manga reading apps. Those the bug/ loading issues are driving me up a wall. In every manga, comic or webtoon, there will be pages that won’t load. The only fix will be to close the app and reopen it. A simple reload button will ups do wonders here. Clearing the cache does not fix the problem. Doing this for every chapter gets extremely tedious. The ads are not the quick ads. The ads have a skip that redirects you to the App Store before you can close the ad. It is worth getting the ad free option.

Great app, though could use more manga series updates

- Possible additional manga series to be added. (1). “Steel Angel Kurumi” manga, complete English translation version. (2). Additional chapters for the “Figure 17” manga, following the events from the anime. (3). Additional chapters for the “Please Teacher” manga, following the characters from the anime. (4). Complete “Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions” manga, English translation version. Also, some chapters in some manga series are missing from their chapter order. Chapter 7, for “Secret Gyaru and Shota Couple” manga is missing, and Chapter 9, for “Naisho No Tsubomi” manga is missing.

Would be AMAZING except…

Really REALLY great selection of manga and webtoons but the every other chapter or so the chapter wont load and i have to exit and come back in at least 5x before it loads. Im determined and patient enough to do it but not a lot of people are. Besides that it has an option to swipe left, swipe right, scroll read, and webtoon view. The only issue i have with this, is you cant scroll into the next chapter (which isnt really that big an issue at all) ive yet to see a max on favorites but after you add about 150 some manga will reset the chapter tracker. (Again not exactly a big issue since you can just reread the awesomeness)

Recent problem

I’ve used the app for a while and enjoy it it has its faults, like how it’s difficult to reload pages that didn’t load properly, and that it seems like for some manga older chapters will basically never load in However for me those are small issues, the update from yesterday has completely ruined the app on my phone, I’m unable to load into the app at all let alone manga, it freezes up for minutes when opening and once it finally unfreezes it moves impossibly slow, hope a fix comes soon

Needs Stability Update

This app used to have a bad crashing problem, BUT they fixed it in a few updates and now it hasn’t crashed at all yet. There’s a huge selection of manga and webtoons that a lot of apps just don’t seem to have. And for nitpicking things that I hope they do in the next big update, I don’t like how when you are done reading a chapter that you can’t just drag your finger like you are going to the next page to get to your next chapter, instead you need to have the menu show up then click next chapter.

Best one by far

Got a new phone and my old manga app was not in the store. Downloaded manga kakalot and they had all of the manga I read without all of the silly paid services. Definitely recommend to EVERYONE. *side note would love a updated feature when loading into another chapter. Instead of having to click the arrow, when you hit the last page that it slowly scrolls into the next chapter. Other apps have it for transiting between chapters. Thank you so! So happy you guys are on the apple store ☺️☺️

Great App!

I used to read in the website before switching to the app! Like the website you get a TON of amazing manga, whether they be popular or not. Unfortunately, like the website, there are repetitive ads and missing pages. This huge are terrible, but it would be nice to have them out of the way. Honestly that’s about it when it comes to the app because other than that, this is a really good place to read manga, they update regularly too! If you don’t mind the ads and like free manga reading,I saw go for it and download MangaKakalot, it’s worth it!

Mixed feelings

Honestly, this app has one of the greatest variety of manga, manhwa, and manhua on the app store. However, It’s inferior to Manga Rock which I had used previously for various reasons. First of all, the app just randomly fails to load chapters semi-frequently. I’m even forced to reset the app sometimes because it just loads infinitely. I don’t mind paying 10$ for a lifetime ad-free experience if the app functioned properly. Unfortunately, this app has been out for a long time and none of the app’s issues have been resolved to date. I can only hope that the App improves sometime in the future as I’ve already invested 10$.

Long load and crashing

Most recent update causes a crash on boot while trying to receive data. Apart from that, general use of the app has severe load times whenever attempting to sync with servers/reload favorites, when attempting to load the splash page for any manga, and the load times that lead to failures when loading chapters. Big ol’ “X”s. Sometimes it is a bad upload, whatever, but more often than not its a failed to retrieve by the app. There has been a crash that has been present the entire year I've used this app. Any manga with many chapters will eventually crash the app, and upon rebooting it, progress was not saved making you need to sift through chapters till you find where you were.

The Best By Far

Was looking for something similar to the OG MangaReader, tried them all and woe and behold this lil cheesecake. The only grip would be on the bookmark page it doesn’t show you where you had left off or if you had caught up to the latest chapter amidst all the series you’ve read. You have to go into said series to see if you’ve caught up or not. Sides that it has EVERYTHING you could hope for in an app. Some series are not there but still more then the others provide.

Great app but needs improvement

For $10, it’s not bad. It has a wide selection of manga and manhwa. The reason why it gets a 3 is that there is a good chunk of manga that won't load. I'm unsure why it doesn't load but I'm sure it's through their server. I've erase my cache, deleted the app, re-download, and the same issue persists. The crazy thing about it is that its a known issue and for months its still not fix. The manga that can be read does have pages regularly if the manga receives any updates from the authors and is published. I still recommend the app because there are more pros than cons.

Treating me well so far

I came here from the website and, I gotta say, this is an upgrade. I haven’t had any stability issues so far, adds can be annoying but they’re pretty short and some even let you skip. Im considering paying for the ad free version but haven’t settled on it yet. So if you’re looking to read some manga from the mainstream to the not so mainstream this is a good app, though some titles can be slow to update. But that’s just part of the territory at this point.

Started great but turned…

Chapters won’t load chapters, there is no way that I have found to restart chapters to re-read them, you have to scroll all the way back to the first page. The Manga listed are not curated and will have multiple listings as well as multiple same chapters. I have this on two devices my older Apple iPad Air 2, will only load a couple of chapters, and then I have to completely shut down the app and reopen to continue reading chapters. My new iPhone is now starting to develop the same issues. Admittedly, it was worth the $9.99 US I had to pay to get access but as of right now I can’t even bring up any of the generals tab. Listed anime comes up as no data found.

Change rating when fixed

I have been using this app for years, wide selection of different kinds of manga, great functionality. I gave three stars because, it starts to continually crash at different times when you just start the app. I open it up and crash, I try trouble shooting by closing out the app completely, deleting and reinstalling all of it, but it crashed. Also it does mark read chapters but not on all my favorite books, it resets the progress almost every other week. Or continuously resets chapters for the series after a while
