Pretty cool app! But the microphone needs some work.

I got this app for my cat, Silhouette. (I do have another cat named Ike but he doesn’t talk much). She’s a very chatty cat and I was so excited when I got this app. I haven’t used it much but so far it’s been pretty accurate. The only problem is the mic. The only time it picked up her meow was when she started down right at my iPad and meowed. Just today, I turned MeowTalk on because Silhouette was meowing a lot at me and I wanted to know what she was saying. She meowed about six times and the app didn’t pick up a single one of them. I don’t know if this is your fault of Apple’s but if you can, please make the app have a better microphone. Other than that, this app is awesome. This app is a very cool idea and lets you know what your cat is saying. Far better than any other app that I’ve tried. Ok, so actually I realized a little later that I had her profile set to ‘Male’. I’m hoping that this will fix the problem.

Seriously?

Just a heads up that this app is completely USELESS if you don’t pay for premium. What’s the point of having a cat translator app that you have to pay for just to see if your cat says anything about you?? It’s completely useless if you don’t buy the premium in your complete scam. Even when you buy it it’s not even half worth it. If you don’t pay for it all the translations are blurred which is completely useless whatsoever to the purpose of the app! There’s also performance issues which is why I’m giving it one star also the fact that it’s useless if you don’t buy the premium. Like come on, apps are THIS desperate for money that they will charge you just to see what your cat is saying. I may change my rating to five stars in that I say may.. IF you take away the premium for buying the translating. Like it’s so useless without it. There’s no point of getting this app if you have to pay for the stupid translator. I honestly expected more for this app and sad to see that it’s pretty much a scam. Better take away the paying for translator because there’s a lot of review saying that you should. Other than that I like this app but I’m begging you take away the translator paying!

Definitely should stay in Beta - DISAPPOINTED

I cannot express how excited I was to hear about this app. More than one friend forwarded an article to me about this new technology. I immediately downloaded it and the first time I used the app, it worked, sort of. I created separate profiles for both of my cats. I recorded meows for one of my cats. However, I was disappointed that those sounds were not captured in the history at all. I was more than willing to pay for the premium version in order to store the recordings, but the interface of the app is so skimpy that there is no help section or FAQ section or even a way to upgrade to they are premium version. It didn’t matter because the very next time and there after I have received an error message that isn’t even grammatically correct. It says “Something goes wrong. Check your connection.” I have tried reinstalling the app and I’ve also tried creating another account and nothing has worked. It’s disappointing that this app has garnered so much buzz but simply does not work. I have a perfectly brand new iPhone and no other app has any problem with my connection. Not ready for primetime. Don’t waste yours in frustration.

Why?

I wanted to translate cats because I am interested in animal behavior! So I downloaded this and tried it, the first translation was blurred, so I tried again, again, again, AGAIN! All blurred! And the cats where meowing, LOUD and CLEAR! and they weren’t my cats! And one was starting to warm up to me, but I kept trying to get her to talk, and eventually she was making noises like “WRAARRR!!!” And “HICCHHHSS” so know i think all our progress in bonding is LOST. And btw, you have to pay just to get translations. You get the cat to meow, “Get premium for no blurred translations!” WHAT?! It useless if you don’t pay for premium! Every single translation is BLURRED! And the thing was, the app worked so good! You can add cat profiles! You get to put in their name, Their age, their picture and their breed if you want! And why when I said “reowwm” it gave a blurred translation. It thinks me doing a cat impression is and ACTUAL cat!! In conclusion: make the app work without premium. And I might give the app 5 stars. Edit: Tried posting this review 5 times, if you’re seeing this, they actually put it up 🤬👍 Edit 2: btw WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR FOR THE RATING, and, IS IT ACCURATE??

Problems

1) If you use before registering, then decide to come back and register, it does not carry over the recordings of your cats or that you have input any cats at all. 2) If you go back and ‘skip registering’, the earlier recordings and all the input cats show back up. 3) I have 3 cats, one 15 yr old cat who talks ALL the time. According to the app, all he says is Hello. Hello when he gets up, Hello when he comes in the room, Hello when he’s hungry... While it does sound closely the same, the inflection is different . His purring ’I want attention/more attention’ sound is translated as ‘I’m sleepy’. (Not ’I’m content ‘?) I have put in my alternate interpretation, but now I’m stuck with Problem #4. 4) There is no way I can save what I have recorded/documented without erasing it all in order to ‘register’ the app to me/us. 5) The choices are SO unbelievably BASIC that I have to wonder - sorry here, guys! - do you even HAVE a cat or have you lived with any cats for an appreciable length of time, really? (P.S. I am 73 and I have lived with dogs and cats since I was too young to remember so I have listened to a lot of cats.) Good luck!

MeowTalk is Ungrateful

Dear creators of MeowTalk, for many months I dutifully volunteered the translations of my many felines, focusing on the feline with vocal cord damage. By doing so I was volunteering his voice for interpretation of a feline with damaged vocal cords, a relatively rare group. Without notice from MeowTalk, it has been months now that my precious history of meows has been unaccessable, lost forever behind a paywall of ungrateful greed. I realized MeowTalk had scammed my naive offering of time and feline privacy. However, it was until yesterday that I was ok with remaining silent on this matter. The feline with the vocal cord damage and myself had a run in- quite a serious collision involving a stampede over my broken toe. As I questioned him in the hallway, he meowed insistently his side of the events. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT HE SAID. WAS HE SORRY OR DOES HE WANT TO DO ME MORE DAMAGE? Shame on you MeowTalk for taking advantage of all the fine folks and felines who helped MeowTalk become the interpretive mastermind of the human-feline relationship it is today, whilst forgetting those who aided the journey. Shame on you...

Has a lot of potential!

I was so excited to try out this app when I heard about it on Facebook, and it’s super entertaining. Every time my kitty meows (which is fairly often) I pull up this app and see what it picks up. I noticed that it doesn’t pick up some pretty loud and clear meows, which can be disappointing but it still picks up a decent amount. The other issue I’ve had is that I can’t register my cat, so there’s no way for me to save her translations. I registered with my email so that’s not the issue, hoping a future update will fix this. But this app definitely has loads of potential and I’ve still been enjoying it despite a couple of hiccups!

Cool, awesome, PROBLEM

So, I love this app, but it has on little problem. I HAVE TO SPEND MONEY TO DO LIGIT ANYTHING! Yeah, I’m just a little frustrated, I know it’s not that much, but over the course of several months, then yeah, that’s expensive! I really want to communicate w/ my cat, she’s a horned angel, for cat lovers out there, you know what I mean. I just don’t want to spend a lot of money on this! I think that if this app had less things that you had to pay for and more things that came w/ when you get the app, and less stuff that you have to pay for, because then premium things seem like less of a privilege and more of an annoyance, then people will just want to delete it. Thank you for reading, also I gave it five stars because I do believe that this is a great app, it just needs some changes.

Useless without Premium

Want to record one singular meow? Watch an ad. Which brings you to a screen with a “blurred out” translation. Want to read the translation? It can only be revealed by watching another 30+ second ad. Want to change the cat linked to the meow? Watch an ad. Which brings you to a page with the same translation re-blurred again, which can only be revealed by watching yet another ad. It’s comical. Like other reviewers, I used this app long ago when it first came out and was impressed. I created different profiles for my cats, and it did a good job of producing accurate guesses based off of tone. I can only assume that other people were also enjoying the app, and the developers realized how much money they were leaving on the table without advertising. But they went way too far with it, and made the app nearly unusable. What was once a fun and cute app that I recommended to fellow cat lovers has become a useless money grab that I will be deleting.

So I am giving it 3 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just because of issues, and things you should fix! When I am creating type of cats that my cats are, it sometimes says my cats have the same words when they meow, although my cats are different types, very different. When I record and my cat doesn’t meow yet, it says my cat said something. There is sudden glitches with choosing the age, and choosing the name. Sometimes the computer bot thing goes wrong, and it says the wrong things or does the wrong things. Besides that, everything else is O.K.A.Y! The app is great, and useful to know if your cat is doing okay. It’s also useful for entertainment purposes. If your scrolling down the reviews, wondering if you should buy this app or not, I recommend you should! It’s a great app. Especially if you have a new cat, and want to know how the cat is feeling, and want to get to know the cat.

No Longer Useful

I used this app a lot mostly just to have a place where all my cats’ meows could be stored without having to use my voice recorder app. I like saving these meows because pets don’t live forever and it’s fun to just have a list of short meow recordings. Honestly I don’t care that much about a lot of the translations now being blurred behind a paywall; I usually already know what my cats want when they are meowing. My problem comes with the fact that if I record my cat meowing, and the translation is immediately blurred, it means the app won’t even store the meow itself in my history. I don’t care about whatever the app was going to say it translated to in these cases, I just want the meows to be saved to the history. I’ll still try to use the app because I already have so many meows saved, but I doubt it’ll let me have back the same convenience that I once had while using it.

Love this

So I ᖇᗴᗩᒪᒪƴ like this app. Totally what I wanted for my three legged cute adorable cat. Love love love love LOVE! But the one thing is...whenever I try to 'sign up' and i click 'password' nothing shows. Just the keyboard without any keys. It's weird. ᔕᗝ I just stopped trying because I wanted to see what my cat was meowing to me. I woukd recomend this app if you have chatty cats like me. But also, I'm talking to the creators here, make one for dogs! Seriously. My friend has a cute dog and my grandparents have TWO cute dogs. So I was like "ok I'll see if there is one like this for dogs." Everything that showed up wasbeither for training dogs, dog emoji thingies, and human to dog. I was like then "no app store. I don't want human to dog. I want dog to HUMAN" So yeah creators. Make a WoofTalk. Please?

Special needs cat

My sweet neurologically complex? cat (she has a genetic condition that causes issues mentally) and I were having a struggling relationship. I’ve always encouraged her to speak and we’ve been bonded since we met but the recent (6ish months?) incessant screaming and meowing had made me almost truly mean to her at times. We’ve been using this app and after 3 days, and over 25 meows, it’s like a complete 180. I thought this was stupid but my fiancée brought it up. Now, after using this app- my sweet baby Yen is significantly less stressed, far better understood, and we have been really enjoying eachother’s company. It’s like old times again! My other two cats are, well, cats and meow only when they really want something so it hasn’t done much in that realm but I can say thank God for this app. My baby girl is so much happier, and I feel so bad with getting so frustrated with her, but I can’t believe the change that’s occurred. Thank you, thank you to the developers. You have truly made my sweet Yen have more of the life she deserves.

This is unfair.

Okay, I have always wanted to be able to understand my cat, ever sense I was a little girl. So when I saw this app, I downloaded it, signed in, and did everything. Well, when I tried it out with my cat, it showed that what my cat had said was all blurred. When I tried again, it was STILL blurred. Then, it said I could get a subscription, for $2.99. And it said that if you get the subscription, I would be able to see what my cat was saying. And this is VERY unfair. I was hoping I’d be able to see what my cat was saying, but I have to get a stupid subscription to even see it! So yeah, I think you should let it not be blurred. And that’s why I’m only going to give two stars. I know your trying to make money, but it’s just unfair. Please change this, and then I’ll give it four or five stars. -Horse Girl

This is useless without money

This app tells you to pay for the translations, and you can watch the ad for the first one. But after that, it tells you to pay! 8 dollars a week is just not. worth. it. It does work pretty well, but it only works with money, and it tells you to pay 70 dollars a year. That might seem better than the 8 dollars a week one, but there is no guarantee that you will use this the whole year! It literally NEEDS you to pay so the text will be unblurred, and when I imitated a cat, it thought i was a cat. But the meaning did come pretty close because I imitated a cat angry sound and it said “I’m angry”, but chances are, it can’t really translate cats very well. Literally EVERYTHING needs premium. But if you do pay for it, it might work.

Overtaken by greed

This used to be a fun little app that we’d use during family time and we really enjoyed “understanding” our cat. When I opened it one night I was disheartened to see that it had been overtaken by intrusive ads and blurred translations that completely impede basic functionality. I’m sure the developer would say that pushing the premium is required to cover “development costs” but it simply looks like someone in charge succumbed to greed. I’d actually consider paying a one time fee to unlock the premium features, but there’s no way I’m paying a monthly subscription for a cat translation app. Developers are obviously hoping people subscribe and then forget about the fee, only to get billed every month. Don’t waste your time with this. It used to be fun, not anymore. Such a shame.

This app is entertaining

Meows translated may not always be correct for your specific cat but I’ve got a ton of spot on translations. It’s also fun to see translations for meows you are unsure of and what you can take away from it. The one recommendation I have is for the app to allow you to change cats in the history. I had the automatic translation on (for my cat Ben) so it was constantly running. My other cat Ollie also started meowing but it logged under Ben. You can’t change the cat assigned to that recording in the history. You can only change the cat if you initiated a single recording. If that feature could be added that would be great!

I’m really disappointed of this app.

This app was great when I first downloaded it, it had cat profiles, information, history, and the actual translator for free! It was very fun (even though some messages were blocked by premium). But now even seeing the history costs money, and sadly my cat passed away 2-3 weeks ago after a coyote injured her internal organs. Luckily she made it to our house and she was euthanized with little to no suffering. Later on I opened this app to listen to her voice, but I couldn’t because the history was blocked, and it’s 7 dollars a week! I gave it the extra star because it’s the only app I could find that works, but now it barely works because everything’s so expensive.

Love the idea

Saw that a friend had downloaded this app and was using it to translate for her cat. I figured I’d give it a try cause sometimes my cats just meow like crazy in the hallway and no idea why. No matter the result, it would have been interesting/funny to see what they’re thinking. Unfortunately, when I go to sign up, I get a network error, and can’t continue. Will update rating if I can ever get in to use the app. -edit... as soon as I hit send, I went back to the app and the network error issues cleared up. Now just waiting for the cats to start meowing to see how well this works.

Amazing

When I first downloaded this app, about a week ago, I was struggling to connect with my baby boy Junior (my new cat) I have had many cats in my time, but none have been as rebellious as Junior. But then, my current husband told me about this app, and how you could speak with your cat. I decided to check it out. The first time I used it, surprisingly, it was extremely accurate! Junior had told me that he wasn’t feeling the best he could, so I took him to the vet, and low and behold, he was sick! Ever since then, I have used this app to discover more about Junior and how he is feeling. He has told me many funny and interesting things. Like how he is in love with my neighbors cat, Becky. And how he plans world domination. Haha! What big dreams of his! I will continue to use this app to communicate with Junior and any future cats I will adopt. Cute but...

This is really cute but could use some improvements which would be easily implemented. The biggest issue for me is that it sometimes will translate things like “where’s my dad?” Which is annoying because I’m a single cat mom. My cats don’t have a dad and never have and never will. Lol. I don’t think my cats are actually guilting me about being a single mother. The app has a “change translation” feature but it doesn’t seem to work at all :( I can try to change the translation as many times as I want. No dice. That feature needs to be fixed, but also there are other solutions to this: A) make all of the translations gender neutral [probably the easiest and simplest thing] B) allow users to customize the translations so they say our name or “mommy” or whatever we prefer [this would be really cute!] Thank you!! —from Emily, Sacha 🐈and Ruby 🐈‍⬛

Good app but just barely anything if you don’t have premium

Good app but I don’t have premium or want to get I can you just please make me do stuff like don’t have to have it blurred every time without premium or auto translate with out premium too terrible app for the greedy devs that just want to make like 100$ per customer remove those annoying things that non premium users should get then it out be 5 star but for now this stupid app is trash devs if your reading this (probably not) can you just change it i would by premium if you done less premium benefits because I don’t wanna give you money if you have too many premium benefits

Free version is pointless

When an app offers a free version, I typically expect the free version to provide sufficient functionality to allow me to determine if I want to pay for the full version. That’s not the case with MeowTalk. The free version does two things: (1) shows only a blurred out “translation” when it captures a sound from my cats and asks if I want to pay for the premium version; (2) serves up ads, many of which are scammy “Your iPhone has a problem, click here to solve it!” phishing ads. I’m always willing to drop a few bucks on an app I find even mildly amusing (especially for anything involving my cats), but MeowTalk’s approach to its “free” version is so off-putting that I’ll pass on the premium version.

You must give this a try

I’ve had cats my whole life but when I ended up taking ownership of my deceased mothers’ cat, his constant “talking” was both confusing and overwhelming. I figured he was grieving and his crying would cease. However, the tones and talking were both so usual I had to download this app. After translating his meows, I feel so relieved that nearly all of his meows are positive. I also feel much closer to my new kitty and can give him more of what he wants: which turns out to be attention and love😀😊🥰

I’m new I had hopes of catching my cat saying funny things but your app blurs out the bad things and there’s no way to actually see what’s said or anything given that ima leave three stars but also the vocab it says u can customize it to what seems right and you don’t get options to chose from nor can you wright your own thing in there it is entertaining tho to see my one cat say” I’m in love “and watch my other cat get mad at him.I’d say at least update it to where we get the option to show the bad things because let’s all admit sometimes cats are jerks and some of us are curious as to what they say

Saves Audio Clips

I had used this for a bit of fun with my cat and it was always enjoyable to see what it would “translate” his meows to. The reason I give five stars though is that the app has saved all the audio clips. We lost my sweet old man at the beginning of December unexpectedly and it was awful. When we got our new guy I wanted to see what the app would say about his squeaks and I noticed all the old audio clips were there. It is so sweet to be able to listen to Bob.

Pointless app after changes

I had an earlier version of the app and submitted my cats’ meows into what was likely a database to improve the translations. I hadn’t used it in a while and opened it recently, just to discover that all my info was missing and I had to sign up. So I created an account and entered all my info. But the app is pointless without a (monthly!) subscription. I might be willing to watch an occasional ad to see translations, but when I click on the button to watch an ad, nothing happens and therefore I can’t see a translation. Maybe a one-time small fee to purchase would be okay, but I t’s not worth a monthly subscription for what is essentially a gimmick. I’m deleting the app.

nice app but…

my cat was always meowing at me when i came up to her. so i got this app to see what she was saying. first of all, any button that was orange meant premium… so why would you put all those buttons if you could just put one get premium button in the settings?? anyway when my cat started meowing i recorded it…i had to put my phone speaker right under her mouth… and i know its the app my speaker is perfectly fine. so after i got the results i needed to WATCH AN AD to UNBLUR WHAT SHE WAS SAYING!!! (i mean that was like the only ad i saw so 😊 extra star for no ad spam) so after it told me what she said i deleted it because this is stupid. two starz

Sad

I was really excited to give this app a try and see what happens but I haven’t even gotten passed the part where I verify my email the link that is in my email is not clickable and when I copy and paste the link into the browser it tells me to stop the site has been reported unsafe and my desktop will not allow me to go any further. After reading some of your reviews I was stumped because it seems like a lot of other people have been able to try it but I haven’t. What can I do to solve this problem because I really want to use this app but I honestly don’t know how to even get past the login. Someone else have this same problem or is it just me?

Needs an option to change cats after recording

I’m loving this app but my only complaint is that when it’s set to “auto-translate” it doesn’t let you assign individual meows to different cats. There should be an option in history or under the individual cat to change who said it. There also needs to be options to add custom translations when using auto-translate, because the options I have to choose from don’t always apply.

DOES NOT WORK!!!

You are required to pay for the subscription, so I did, and the app did not pick up ANY of my card meows. She is super yappy and meows loud, and I had the phone super close to her, but it kept coming up with a message that said “unrecognized” and wanted me fo switch cat profiles, even though I only had one. No matter what I did, it wouldn’t pick up her meows. It only picked up a couple and when it did, it kept saying the same “I’m in pain” message over and over again, which she is perfectly healthy so I know that’s not the case, it just kept repeating the same message no matter what her meow sounded like. I’m not happy with the outcome of my purchase.

Loving it

So far I’m loving using this app. It seems very well built and does a great job picking up meows. 4 stars because the options for manually translating an audio clip seem a bit limited. For example, “I want to play” or “Play with me” would be a very good addition that is currently missing. Edit: Coming back to say my cat’s profile disappeared after 1 day. Pretty annoying since I had already logged quite a few translations. Hopefully it won’t happen again

4 Paws Up

Such a fun app! I love my two kitties and translating our 'conversations' makes me feel more connected to them. Overall, very astute! One of my girls is a major whiner for attention and the app interprets her cries as 'in pain' so we need more self-selections like, 'I demand your attention', 'Please notice me' and 'I'm bored' so I can help you translate more accurately. My other girl is a squeaker and it's more difficult to hear her but she loves my husband so we were amazed when the app indicated she is saying, 'Daddy!' or 'Where's my dad?'. So great. Thank you!

Just wanted to say thank you for this wonderful app. My cat just passed away and unlike human, there aren’t too many traces of him to remember by except pics and videos. Listening to his voices when he was excited or resting just makes a huge present for me. So thank you. I hope one day you can advance this app to diagnose where they feel the pain. Hope such day comes soon for all fur-babies.

Seems to Work

I was curious to see what my cat had to say since she basically talks 24/7. So far I’ve found it seems to work. She was meowing and the app said she was on the hunt for prey. Went to sit by her food plate and as I was cleaning it off the app said she told me she needed me, she loved me and when I was giving her the food it said come here. So I have no proof as it could be coincidence but does make for a funny interaction if nothing else.

Problems with History

For some reason, only some of the meows I record have saved! I set up an account and have made all of my cats profiles, but I’m sad that a lot of the recordings for the app haven’t saved - especially since my cats aren’t big on meowing so it’s hard to get them to continuously “chat.” I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this so far, but I have and am not sure how to resolve it. Aside from that, the app is cute and while it isn’t always correct with translations some of them have been spot-on. Hopefully they have a new update soon!

Great game 😻

Im not completely sure that this app is accurate, but what I’ve seen so far it seems pretty accurate and i have 2 cats and one day one of them was meowing and they were pawing at the food bowl and i tried out the app and it translated correctly and translated to “Im hungry” so i do suggest this app especially if you have a very chatty kitty cat 🐈🐱🌈 (The only reason why i gave this review 4 stars is because I’m not 100% positive that it is completely accurate but I’m sure that it is pretty accurate)

Helpful

I don’t get reviews complaining about this app being not free, it’s a technology, someone spent the time working on it. Sometimes it doesn’t translate everything my cat is saying but my cat is unique:-) I left him alone to chill on the patio but when got back the app translated his meowing as “ Don’t forget about me. It hurts.” So i’d say this app is helpful, cat and I are cuddling and spending quality time together right now.

Not very accurate

I took a recording of my cat clearly trying to get out of my arms and sounding angry and the translation said “I feel loved” or something like that, which was totally off. Other meows that clearly sounded happy were translated to negative things like “I’m in pain” or “I don’t feel 100%”. I will keep adjusting the meaning of the sounds and see if it gets more accurate over time but after one day of using it on 5 chatty cats, I’m not impressed. Also wish there were more options for what you can change the meaning of the meow to. Or at least a spot where you can write what you thought it meant.

WHY

Literally when I did this, it said I’m in love when it went in the sink and the water was on it was saying I’m in love that’s totally fake cause don’t believe this because when I did this literally my cat was in the sink when there was water than I recorded straight at that moment, and it said I’m in love but that’s not what it actually did. It was hissing and stuff it was scared so this is all fake. I thought it was real but it’s all fake he’s so scared. He’s hugging my sister so much like this can’t be true. This game is literally a lie. I can’t believe that they would actually do this.

Don’t waste your time

I downloaded this app today after reading about it in the New York Times. Every time I pressed the tap to translate feature an ad would pop up and it would not register the cats meow at all. After the ad ran or after I was able to get rid of the ad I would immediately get a message to upgrade to premium so that I could get more custom information about my cat’s meow. Trying over perhaps ten times I never got a single reading. This is a waste. all I ever got was recommendations to upload to premium, and ads for games and other apps. I don’t think this is a serious app.

Good Evening creator! I gave this a 3 stars only because when I first downloaded it I was really happy because I could talk to my grandmas chatterie cat named boo, but I got so addicted that after he told me to go and he hissed at me. Then I thought it would be ok after a solid 10 seconds I could try it again and he hissed at me and scratched me so I’m not gonna be playing this for a while, But thank You for creating this but I hope you can make a dog talk to because I have a chatterie Pooch! Thank you!!!

I love the app

I love this app 99.9 % of the time the app is right and it’s very easy to use and it helps me understand what waffles =(my cat) is saying to me like she wanted me to leave her alone so I used this app and it said that she wanted time to calm down and in other words it said that she said leave me alone but all and all I love this app I use it a lot if you ever want to know what your cat is saying download this app!

Absolutely horrible

This app has become absolutely horrible to use. Everything is ether behind a monthly premium subscription or several ads. Even worse, I actually paid for the subscription for a few months - and the app wouldn’t recognize that I subscribed! I couldn’t access any of the features that I was paying for. This app used to be amazing and I loved using it daily. It’s such a disappointment now. I’m going to buy the premium subscription one last time so I can download all my cats’ sounds and then I’m done. My dead cat’s mews and purrs are basically being held hostage by a paywall.

Understand ur cat

How many times ur cat meows at u and u wish to understand them??? Thats me!!! There were times he meows so much that I can’t figure it out why. With this app, i found out that my cat just simply wanted to be near me. Even tho we were in the same room be he wanted to be closer to me. Now i use this app every time in order to understand my cat needs. Thank u for creating this app!!!

NYT article sounds cool but this is not

So I read in a NYT article about this app and wanted to try it. I understood that it would be cool to subscribe so I could better understand kitty without ads. But thia is not it, your cat meows and in order for you to see what it is saying, you have to subscribe! So what’s the purpose of trying it? At least do like 10 translations or something. Felt like a bait and switch honestly. May jot be a scam but it sure feels like it.

Really good app

I love this app, I was so satisfied to translate cats. The game is a 4 star but I give it 5 because I just want to be nice, but sometimes the what the cat is saying is blurry and u have to like pay for the game to upgrade or something or pay for premium but still I really like the app and well that’s all I have to say lol but yes there r things that I want to be fix. Neat until you actually use it.

The app doesn’t allow you to even use it without paying for it. Why bother making it a free app if your plan is to just scam people in to paying later down the line. It would be a different case if they didn’t blur the translations. There really isn’t a point to the app unless you pay. And I doubt anyone really thinks this app translates cat vocal tones in to human speech. So there really isn’t any reason to get the app. Not unless you want to pay 3 bucks a month to pretend you have a deeper connection to your pet when you could just spend time with them

Scam.

If like me you came here after about this on no such thing as a fish then steer clear. First off, you need to pay to get a translation done. Second I’ve tried the app for 3 days now and I can confirm it’s utter rubbish. My car does the same sound every day at every feeding time, yet whenever I record the meows through the app I get different interpretations ranging from “I missed you” to “stay away”. So no consistency even for the same behavior and my cat also makes a particular sound when she wants to go out to play, yet the app never manages to interpret those correctly.

Used to be good but now it’s pay to even use

I had this app probably about a year and a half ago. I thought it was sweet and it was pretty straightforward. I decided to download it again only to find out pretty much everything is locked behind a paywall? My cat meows clear as day and I can’t even see the translation? What’s the point? You might as well make the app a paid app instead of using up space on my phone to find out I can’t even use the main feature without paying. Absolute waste of an app. Used to be a lot better but I don’t know what happened
