I see a lot of hate here for Cuomo, but I’m gonna be the odd one out and say I’m so glad to watch him again. His style is refreshing and definitely non-biased. He jabs at the left almost as much as the right. He makes a point to push for more parties and talks about how toxic our two party system (in practical terms) is. People make mistakes in life and he shouldn’t be banned from his decades long profession over an incident he’s apologized for on numerous occasions. He’s a good journalist and has great insights. I’m still discovering other anchors in the network and was surprised to see some other familiar faces. Looking forward to this network doing good things!

If you have been searching for real unbiased tv news …your search is over. It is typically a lot of work to get the full picture having to jump around from biased news on one side to biased on another. No longer. NewsNation has got you covered … and they aren’t just blowing smoke. Yes … Cuomo came from a hard left biased organization and still leans left. But he has dialed it back … and his show is an opinion show… not to mention that he regularly has someone on to provide balance (love the segments with O’Reilly). But opinion aside … the news is real … and isn’t trying to brainwash you or convince you one way or the other. They find representation from multiple points of view and do not underweight one opinion by having its representation be relatively silent or incompetent (a CNN trick). NewsNation typically provides intelligent debate when differing opinions exist. This is as it should be. Keep up the good work.
I watch NewsNation on a daily basis, but I expected a bit more from their app. It is clunky, ad-heavy, and forces video playback when you simply want to read an article. There is no option to remove automatic video playback, and it covers half the screen as you try to read an article. Also, in the TV provider section, there is no option for streaming or satellite providers (e.g., YouTubeTV, Dish, Directv). However, they list every no-name cable provider you’d ever think of. I don’t understand that one at all. Why ignore all of us who watch you on streaming or satellite platforms? (I imagine that is the majority of your viewership!) If they want to gain users, the app must be more streamlined, user friendly, and look more like their TV channel - and less like an outdated local news channel app, which I am guessing is what Nexstar used as their basis for this app.
Since Chris Cuomo is actually the poster child for bias (literally conspiring with politicians including his brother) by holding fake interviews where the subject of interview and Cuomo wrote discussed line by line how the interviews would go and how to spin it in a positive way (always towards a left leaning bias btw). If that’s your definition of unbiased that’s pretty sad. I was in for awhile, even though there isn’t a comment section to give personal thoughts on news stories. Well then the org hired Chris Cuomo who literally was fired for his bias towards others in preference to his brother! There such a thing as recusal in law and journalism. If your core statement is “unbiased” and you hire a full fledged partisan (father and brother were both staunch democrats) who isn’t the least bit unbiased, and who doesn’t even PRETEND to be unbiased, well sorry, that doesn’t work. Deleted the app.
I got a notification today praising the president’s accomplishments in office and saying plenty of things blaming republicans. I was hoping to find a news app that wouldn’t point one way or the other because I just wanted some straight forward news that wasn’t trying to push a narrative. For someone like myself who is very in the middle or moderate on their political views, this is pretty frustrating. That was the entire reason I downloaded this app, because I was tired of the biased news. I’m also disgusted by the way the most recent article about the Moscow Idaho case. They released gruesome details that were unsourced and unconfirmed involving the deaths of those students. It is so wrong of them to do this when the families probably don’t even know that information yet. That was the first I’ve seen them do that, and that’s pretty disappointing.
I am giving this 5 stars, even though there are a few annoying issues with the app, because I am so happy that there is a new unbiased news source and I’m sure they will work out the issues. I can’t stand watching the other, so called “news” networks, such as CNN, Fox News and MSNBC because they contain very little news content and it’s mostly opinion with grandstanding and sometimes inaccurate information. I hope that News Nation succeeds and expands to a 24 hour news channel as right now they only offer live programming during evenings. I do have a few issues: * I use it on an iPad and it doesn’t rotate the screen to landscape until I start live video * It keeps prompting me for my provider’s login information (most apps only make you authenticate once in a while, but not almost every time you use it). This might have been fixed because it didn’t just prompt me again. * Live video doesn’t minimize to the corner when you change to another app, like most other video apps.
I know this app and network is brand new, but it’s off to a great start. It’s easy to navigate and not buggy, and the content is straightforward and not full of sensational headlines or click-bait style articles (which is exactly what the world needs more of!) One feature I hope to see in the future is a way to customize a newsfeed. I like scrolling through headlines and topics most relevant to me in one spot vs navigating around and filtering each time I open the app. I also hope the weather section continues to expand its details so I can get rid of the terrible weather apps I otherwise have to suffer through.
I love love love it. I wanted to find an apolitical news source since I don’t know much about politics and I want just the facts with a little analysis and this is perfect. The only reason I’m rating 4 stars is because I would love it even more if there was some kind of tab or pin option. Sometimes I find articles or shows I don’t have time to look at in the current moment and would love to be able to have a “save for later” option. Amazing news source!
This review is for the News Nation app, not News Nation as a network. I logged into with my TV service provider (xfinity) like it says to do in order to watch live on my mobile device. However, during certain shows/times I only have the option to LISTEN to the live broadcast. This is not what I want. I want to watch AND listen. That's why I logged in with my service provider login. I have no issues watching the News Nation channel on my TV, like normal but I want to be able to access it on my mobile device. Please fix this, we live in an age of AI, yet are still struggling with the fundamental capabilities of technology in our world today. Again, I am writing a review for the APP.
Though they need better technical specialist to work out some bugs with the show, the app and the website, I’m all about NN. I’m relieved NN provides an independent non-biased view of the news. One side of the political spectrum is neither always right or always wrong - How refreshing that is. I appreciate how Dan Abrams and others dive into detail and demonstrate how irresponsible other BIG news media can be about reporting important facts without omissions. So very important, especially when one reports on Police interactions and dividing political issues. They even have Chris Cuomo behaving like an open minded journalist again ;-). Loved his thoughtful reporting on the emotionally charged topic of transgender adults who regret transitioning so young. Makes you think! Bravo New Nation- Please Keep it coming!
I have a lot of news apps, and have always like NZ Herald for ease of use ,.. but NewsNation is just as smooth. The only confusion I had was when trying to exit a video until I realized it required clicking the ‘restore down’ brackets [ ]. Re: balanced reporting.. it’s true, although reviewers who already have a strong bias will view any story that doesn’t come with the same bias as skewed. As a career tv news producer I’ve seen this many times. The center is always hated by extremists.
What was good about CNN’s app was that you could watch an entire show at a time. Not to say there weren’t ad’s but if you saw Cuomo went on CNN, you could see an hour show in order. nation could be that perfect if they just did shows in order. I would be thrilled if every show from 6:00 PM on was capable of me, watching the next day in order of the show as if it was taped As of now, it either is not or is so difficult. It’s not simple for me to find. That is why I only gave three stars instead of four or five.
Truly unbiased news isn’t possible, but this is the best high-quality news source I’ve found that isn’t dripping with bias and one-sided opinion pieces. I’m just as offended by bias on the left as I am on the right - I just want the news and facts so that I can internalize and form my own opinion. Shouldn't we all expect this? Thank you NewsNation.

Well, I wanted something that was concise, informative, to the point, and unbiased. This app fails, primarily because the pix and videos - including the ads - take over my entire screen and finding articles to actually READ is a pain when I have to spend so much time manipulating what is blasted at me. Maybe it is unbiased … maybe it does have actual news. Don’t know. I spent one morning with it and decided that my time is better spent wading through the garbage on other news sites. That’s sad.
Maybe this is just happening to me for some reason, but I am unable to watch the Live TV option even after linking my tv provider (Frontier). After doing so, I get the message “you are not authorized to view this content.” NN is an active channel as part of my cable subscription and this happens even after removing and reinstalling the app (and delinking and relinking provider). Makes me sad. And on top of this this, the NN app for Roku does not have a Live TV option. That is also very upsetting. Too bad.
I’ve been looking for a news service that I could trust to REPORT the news using real FACTS, not politically biased spin or even flat out lies. WGN NEWSNATION has done just that! It provides a broad range of topics and gives details of important stories that others just gloss over, if they even cover them at all. Great app for my phone and good source for my TV viewing at home during prime time!
The way Brian Entin handled Gabby Petito’s search, etc was so kind and different from other media stations. I appreciated that NewsNation was, seemingly, kinder with their reporting and making sure the correct info was put out over being the first to report. Then Banfield and her “former FBI detective” friend showed up, started reporting and it’s been made very clear NewsNation is no different. The way Banfield has taken advantage of Xana’s mom (Idaho student) for the sake of a story is disgusting. The one star I have to leave is for Brian Entin. He seems to be the only one there with any integrity.
All I was looking for was a place to see the new Stirewalt Sunday show. Not on this app, apparently. I don’t know who developed this, but they clearly haven’t got a clue about user experience here. The ads are bad enough but there is zero navigation. How about a section entitled “shows?” Surely since we need to enter our provider connection there should be away to serve the shows on demand after broadcast. You guys want to build your audience…this is not how to do it. Super disappointing. This app is actually worse than not having one at all.
I love the app. It would be nice if I didn't have to keep turning my iPad to view the main pages, though. It would be better if you provided a landscape version or, at least, unlock the portrait so it can rotate and be viewed in landscape.
So I open up my app this morning, Sunday, 8 January to find an article titled “1 Dead, 2 Killed in Hollywood Walk of Fame Shooting”. The title made no sense so I read the article and it turns out it’s 1 dead and 2 injured in the story. Come on News Nation. Are you looking to be the first organization to get the story by not editing your article content? It’s 0930 est and no one has caught this? For an organization just starting out, you need to do better or people will realize you’re crap and get they’re news elsewhere. Best of luck.
Downloaded after watching Chris Cuomo’s come-back interview, learning he’s starting a prime-time program with them in fall. One unpleasant discovery about this channel is that some portion of the news they report is about various news reporting biases they found on the major news channels, and promotion of their own objectivity as an alternative. That’s not the kind of news I am interested in. Besides, obviously the goal here is self-promotion. If they are so much into policing other news channels — record a separate weekly show exposing their new-found biases, and make it available on demand for those who care to watch it. How biased or factually incorrect is news reporting by other news channels IS NOT NEWS!
Can I get some feedback and possibly a story about what really happened to the social security program after it was implemented up to this date,and the changes made in the 60 s I have been a big fan of the evening shows since you started
What started out as a refreshing, down the middle news source, has slowly leaned to the left. They aren’t in the yellow rag group with CNN, but also no longer a fact first source. I deleted the app and will go back to finding a reliable fact driven news source. Maybe someday they will get back on track, but most in this industry don’t. I gave 2 stars for the app being reliable both in text and video streaming.

I want to put my full support behind News Nation! Our country is sorely lacking a ‘straight news’ service vs the screaming heads at the other three ‘24 hour opinion/entertainment’ channels. My issue is that this app is locked in ‘portrait’ view and doesn’t rotate to ‘landscape’ view on my iPad. When they fix that, score will improve. Good luck News Nation, we need you now more than ever!
Compared to other news organizations and apps, NewsNation and NewsNation Now are fantastic for getting information as unbiased as possible. Once the iPad version was updated, the app keeps crashing whenever I try to connect my cable/satellite provider.
Solid content, but the headlines are designed to be clickbait and nearly all stories are accompanied by videos are automatically play - which is not wanted. There is no option to prevent videos from loading, so the app is useless if you’re in a data-restricted plan or far from an area with a strong signal. Also, there’s generally little opportunity to customize the topics that interest me.
I can finally get some unbiased news and it’s so refreshing, the news is presented without some anchor chiming in their opinion about the story. They seem to present both sides so it's fair. I believe that I can watch or read the news without wanting to get angry from all the opinionated bias comments. Thank you Newsnation!
If you enjoy READING your news, as I do, it’s incredibly frustrating to be able to read only a few sentences at a time because a video player with ads covers the entire top half of the screen and auto-plays and there’s no way to remove it or change settings to avoid having it. If I wanted to watch videos and not read, I would go to FOX news.
A major cable news outlet that actually makes an earnest effort to cut down the middle and present news and opinion from both sides of the US political spectrum. Very refreshing and the timing is impeccable in such a politically divided country. Looking forward to this channel growing in popularity!
I’m notified of relevant and important stories faster from this app than from my other news apps. I get important news hours and sometimes a day sooner. I highly recommend this app.
The content isn’t bad, and the effort to depoliticize the coverage definitely shows. However, the presentation is terrible. Every page is so heavily laden with ads that it’s almost impossible to follow the thread of the content. I find myself getting to the bottom of an article and having retained almost nothing. Please fix!
I like the app, easy to use and navigate. What I like even more is the whole purpose of News Nation - straightforward news, no sensationalist bias from overpaid commentators, no slant one way or the other. I hope everyone else starts watching so the news returns to what it should be, just news!
I have watched Chris since back on CNN and have continued but I may not be watching anymore if Bill Oreilly is on. He is entitled to his political view but he is such a mean and nasty man. He is rude and disrespectful to Chris and last night was appalling. Get rid of Oreilly. He is old and irrelevant. Such a nasty man.
I'm trying to watch you guys live in the app for iPhone, but you guys don't have fuboTV Listed as one of the cable providers so that way I can connect to my cable provider and watch you guys in the app on the go.

Started watching News Nation because I heard Chris Cuomo is on here. So glad I did. I don’t blame someone because he did something that anyone would do for their family. Will be watching daily.
App seems okay but confused why YouTubeTV is not in the TV providers yet the station is available for YouTubeTV. That needs fixed. Other then that the app is pretty basic and works. The live stuff would work better though if YouTubeTV people had the access they were supposed to have though.
If you’re looking for breaking news, don’t come here. It probably averages less than 10 new articles per day. The same articles are featured for days, sometimes over a week. Redundant might be an apt description. And some stories they hang onto for what seems like forever. So, if you’re looking for comprehensive news coverage, this ain’t the place.
This app is off to a great start and I really hope it takes off. The app itself seems to work good. I absolutely love the unbiased news!!!! Everything that I have read and listens to so far was well written in an unbiased manor. I’m very impressed. Thank you!!!!!!!
I have an iPhone, 14 promax, with the latest iOS updates. The app opens and I’m able to see the five minute preview, but when I try to select my TV provider and I click on my provider, the app does not respond. None of the providers are responding, it seems like it is disabled somehow.
Started watching News Nation a few weeks ago and I love that the reporting is about the news, communities and no political bias. So sick of CNN Fox, MSNBC’s politics and how every story relates back either in an obliviously positive or negative way to which ever way that station leans. Deleted my CNN app and couldn’t be happier

Trying to find unbiased news sources nowadays is next to near impossible, but newnations is about as independent as you can get. Refreshing to see an actual news source and not straight Democrat or republican propaganda.
I’m not quite sure what’s wrong with the iPad version of this app but it is unusable if you actually want to read the article instead of just watching the video. It literally showed me one line at a time on a 10 inch iPad while the video took up 99% of the screen that was showing an ad and then a video. Surprisingly there’s no option to make the video size smaller.
I was happy to see something advertised as an “unbiased news site”. Unfortunately, when I tried to view articles online, I consistently got the “bad gateway” error message. So I downloaded the app, and now I get a “we couldn’t load the latest stories” error message. So much for trying to use this site. Let me know when you get your act together and maybe I’ll try again.
Been using the App and listening to its content for about a month now and couldn’t be happier. The push notifications are also perfect too. Not too much, just the right amount. Great job
Great app! Sadly there are some conspiracy theorists who are calling you out for biased reporting. The truth is the truth and I’m so happy that you are reporting facts, not fractured fairytales. It’s more important now than ever before. Some people can’t handle the truth.
My only complaint is that I can’t hold my iPad in horizontal/landscape position. My case for the iPad only accommodates landscape mode. So I’m forced to hold it vertically (by hand) which is a pain. When will that ability be available, if at all? Otherwise I like the app.
Content OK. Adverts are OK. This app may work for iPhone users, but almost painful to use for the larger iPad users, who prefer to use their devices in landscape mode. Portrait mode on a 10 inch iPad requires the app be ‘zoomed’ in to fill the screen.. Your web platform is the way to go for iPad users, until app is reworked for larger horizontal screens...
