I don’t know why it took years for Nikkei to release its own app, but I’m sure glad that they did. It is by far the best English language reporting and commentary on East Asia. The app presents that reporting in a simple, intuitive manner. Well done.

It covers a lot of areas, including business and political trends in Asia and globally from Asian perspectives. Highly recommended and the subscription is cheaper than Japan Times.
The app does not work anything like the regular website. Accessing the business section returns stories out of chronological order. There is no way to order the returns to display most recent stories first. I am using iOS 16.6.
Just start using this app, haven’t really been using it much and the app keep popping window asking me to rate it? Well, you will get it, but in a bad way, one star you will get from me!
