It’s a very capable app. Could be better, could be worse. I’m satisfied with it.

This new app is horrible. It doesn’t keep you logged in. When scrolling through a page, all the content on the left side of the screen that is supposed to be what your reading on the right isn’t shown. You can’t click on individual obituaries, pictures or articles with any consistency. There are far too many additional frustrations to list. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the previous edition. Please bring it back! I use an iPad so my issues may be different from those using an actual computer or laptop. I really dislike this new app.

This app is BY FAR the worse app I’ve ever downloaded. It is not user friendly and obviously by all the bad reviews the owners of this paper does not care. Just opening their app is so frustrating. Why must you tap 3 or 4 different buttons just to view the front page?? This isn’t rocket science. One teenager with limited IT knowledge could probably correct this issue in a couple of hours. Like one of the other reviewers, I too would rate it a zero if that were an option.

The sensitivity on an iPad is too much. When scrolling on a page the finger has to track perfectly vertical. A minor, virtually imperceptible, movement left or right flips the page, which takes more than a few seconds to load so the user must wait before returning to the previous page... requiring more time waiting for it to load. Two years later... still waiting. Please fix your bugs.

I recently subscribed to the OR so I could access the news using the OR app. I quickly discovered that I would have to log in EVERY TIME I wanted to use the app, even though I select the option to keep me logged in. I contacted the OR about this and they actually told me the app was “not robust enough” to keep me logged in. They recommend that I not use the app and log in using Safari. So therefore this app is USELESS. Here’s a great idea… FIX THE APP!!!

Just the difficulty to read the online addition is crazy. Before you went in and it was right there no waiting no pausing now with every page turn you have to wait and forget even downloading the edition. It’s very frustrating and not user friendly. Bring back the old version or at least some form of it.

This version of the app is worthless. Basically is just a browser. If I wanted to just use my browser I don’t need this app. You can tell the app to keep you logged in but that isn’t true as soon as you close the app you are logged out of the website. At least the old version kept you logged in and when opened downloaded the digital version of the news paper.

The e-edition fails to load, giving an error message: Too many requests. Too many from my device, all users, the server? I want to use this when I travel but it is practically useless. News and some columns sometimes load, obituaries are a pain to access, and old items are mixed with newer ones.

It also continues to shut me off too. Right in the middle of reading the obituaries mainly. Every night. Most generally you can’t even get thru one without having to go back and try 3-5 times to try and hurry up and read before if shuts off again. NEEDS FIXED. ASAP.

Old app was much better but you can not use it on current additions. If you leave the app, you have to go through multiple steps to get back in and then try to find the page you were on previously. Hate this app. Don’t think this paper will last unless it fixes.

This is a cheap app, it crashes when you open it. You also have to click “Log in,” and then you have to click again. They need to find a better developer.

Really difficult to use this app. Even logging onto the app. I get more information when I don’t go in the app. I use many different newspapers online and this one I find very difficult.

Can’t move to next page with arrows.

This app is a huge improvement over their previous one. No issues so far.

Terrible. Absolutely terrible. I have to keep signing in to even see the e edition. And then again I don't see much. Guess I should just cancel paper and e edition.

Wish the wizards at OR would take 5 minutes and fix this app!!! So difficult to read this paper:(((

This app is horrible!!! It will not let me log in.. I am going to cancel my subscription if I can’t read the paper on my iPad or iPhone..

Your newspaper is fine but your app lacks a lot and doesn’t work efficiently

I'm living out of the area for a couple of months and like the convenience of reading my hometown paper while away. Once I spoke to customer assistance, I am navigating with ease reading my paper page by page like at home. Although I am permanently logged in, each day, it asks for me to sign in. I click the bar to do so and I go immediately to page one- not actually having to log in again.No issues here. If you have any, you are but a phone call away for assistance.

The e edition is the whole reason I use this...but I’m using the app less since this upgrade. It forces you to type in your username and password every time even though it gives you the (apparently theoretical) option to be remembered. Once you get to the e edition, it has s lost functionality compared to the previous version. I’m disappointed and find myself opening the other news apps on my phone first.
