Needs more

Awesome app. I just wish it didn’t log you out so often, which forces you to re-enter your username and password.

Works same as website; but buggy, slow, crashes and stops frequently

Works same as website, it is essentially an app version of the website. Buggy, very slow, crashes or stops frequently, takes forever — tied to internet speed, because it is more of a web app. I find the internet version on iPad is the same. Both are painful and slow to use with constant crashes and long hesitations. I use them because this is all there is to get the job done. But it hurts… soooooo slow and unresponsive. However, if you have a faster Mac or faster iPad/iPhone — and fast internet — you may have a better experience. It really depends on your device’s age/CPU speed/RAM and your internet speed. I do recommend PlaceIt, and I use it daily. When it gets faster and less buggy for slower devices, I will upgrade the stars. (My device is only a few years old, not ancient, and has lots of free storage, and was maxed out in extra when I bought my device.)

Place it is perfect, try it

I’m a long fan of place it on the desktop! When I found out a mobile version was coming out I was excited. After trying it for a couple weeks it has been awesome with getting images or advertisements edited that I’ve needed. I have experienced some small bugs here or there but the developer is on top of the updates and constantly fixing things. I highly recommend place it and hope to see a polished version very soon

Great when it works

As many have previously stated the app is very buggy, and slow. When it does work it’s a lot of fun, but it rarely works. They shouldn’t charge money for this app with it not working properly. Or at least shouldn’t be $15/month. I can’t get colors to change half the time and when I try to crop it either removes the image or makes no change. I’ve requested a refund. I’ll keep you updated.

Terrible search filters

When I search something like “urban” designs pop up and no mock-ups and I apply filters to show only mock-ups and nothing changes. I select to sort a different way and nothing changes. I click to display only videos and still nothing changes. Do you even test the app or bugs before releasing? Because that’s ridiculous your filters don’t work whatsoever at all. Feels cheap and fake. The website is much better though. This app is 3/10

apparel mockups…

This app allows me post new merch without having to rely on a designer or hire a model! Their merchandise mockups really stand out. I've been using Placeit on the web for a while... thrilled to have access to the iPhone app… highly recommend this app for creating pro artwork on the fly.

Good try…buggy

I use Placeit on my computer a lot so I thought the app would be a good addition. But it’s super slow (I have T1 internet) and I can’t find the files when they are downloaded. I’ve looked everywhere on my phone for them and they just aren’t there. So I have to go back to the computer to access them which defeats the purpose.

Mobile web version is better

I can only imagine the app works the same as the mobile web version, which in itself isn’t all that great. I have to imagine because at this point I can only view saved work and I’m always “offline” when trying to edit or view anything else.

Can’t change text on app

I’ve been trying to change the text on the app for some time now and it just goes right back to the default text, not sure what is going on but kinda frustrating.

Enjoyable so far…

Just downloaded the app and so far it working fine. I have to familiarize myself with the functionalities but overall I enjoy it cause it is easy access to create my mock-ups. But time will tell 👊🏽

Not for iPad

I think I would like it better if it filled the screen. Clearly this is made for a phone, way too small to see anything really well on a tablet. That’s disappointing.

Not working

Added a star because the app looks like it should work and if it did would be very useful but most of the buttons don’t work and the navigation is confusing. I couldn’t get a single template to work.

App doesn’t work

Spent the $12 to get this app created a logo now I can’t download it to my phone😂what a waste of money sends me to a browser that won’t even open and when it does? There’s a download button that does nothing.👎requesting a refund from my bank🙃

Where did it go?

While working on layouts work just disappears! Hoping these types of issues are resolved so we can get things done on mobile.

Frustrating

It’s a cool app that’s you can make logos with but once you put a lot of work into a project it will eventually white screen and all of your work is gone. Very frustrating and I hope they fix it

Trash

Paid for a subscription. It would never give me access. Just would get to download screen and crash. Tried to request help and got nothing.

Terrible app it keeps crashing

I hate that. I spent my money on this app just for it to crash. I can’t even make my mock ups for my website. This is very frustrating.

Website is better

Unable to upload graphics depending on size. Inconvenient if you have 5000 x 5000 graphics

Verrrrrry Slow

Be prepared to have your patience tried with how slow and unresponsive this app is. This was supposed to help ease my workload, not add more unnecessary stress to it.
