Awesome but….

This app is easily the best place to watch poker. Hands-down, top-notch coverage of all the WSOP and other tournaments. The app itself works fairly well, pretty easy to use and the interface is not bad at all. Watching all the mix games really helps my play and it’s just fun overall. being able to see all the cards and get that information really helps my game. Thank you for that! One major problem with the WSOP streams is that the commentators are constantly spoiling the other tournaments that I haven’t watched yet. For example, they’re telling me who won “The millionaire maker”when I haven’t even watched that final table yet. It’s like telling me who dies in episode five of a TV show in episode one. So other than the spoilers, which is to me a huge, huge no-no for somebody who watches all these streams, this is a great app. The best. I understand that it’s exciting to go to other tourneys to check in on what’s going on but to spoil a whole tournament stream by announcing winners? Not sure about that strategy. All old issues resolved and now THE BEST Poker sub out there!!

First my title should remove anyone’s fears about bad reviews (just look at their dates and if they are 2017/early 2018 ignore them). PokerGo is an AMAZING platform for the casual fan and especially a poker fiend and player like me! I too had ONE huge issue when I first subscribed and that was the casting engine in particular. Quite frankly it just didn’t work well and sometimes not at all! I voiced my complaints and PG have gone above and beyond what a normal company usually would do. Not only did I receive credit for a month of service because of not being able to stream but they TRULY listened to my issues, relayed them to their tech support team and now a month away from my one year of being a subscriber have fixed EVERYTHING!! Next is the content. Sure in it’s infancy the ORIGINAL content was a little lacking. Not anymore. It’s great. Poker After Dark is back!! 100+ days of live stream (events you would NEVER see) if not for PG in full HD are great!! No commercials and unedited commentary (love it). I believe they are even giving a month free trial during the WSOP summer! After that 10 clams a month! I will be a subscriber for as long as I am a poker fan and player!! Simply great app hands down!

Hard to finish an episode

With the 2022 WSOP events all completed and streaming, I’ve been trying to go back and watch the ones I missed live. Quality is great, but if I don’t watch the entire 6hr+ stream at once, I start to have play back issues. The screen goes black, then the audio goes back to the beginning and I can’t continue the stream from where I last paused it, even if I close app and restart. Usually the worst and happens the most in the last hour of stream, which is really annoying since I can’t watch how the match ends after putting so much time into it. This has happens almost every time. Disappointing since I bought the year long membership and I can’t finish one episode with out problems. I mainly watch on my phone, and my phone is also brand new and using WIFi, maybe this isn’t a problem on the computer but shouldn’t be a problem on my phone as well. Hopefully they can fix this. If this wasn’t a problem I keep running into I would have rated it 5 stars.

It’s Great EXCEPT…

Love the Pokergo app. Worthy of five stars. Great picture quality. Great assembly of commentators for live events. Great library of both old time favorites like reruns of High Stakes Poker and Poker After Dark and more. Lots more. Plus, new original FIRST RUN episodes of those great series. Additional original content is plentiful and well produced like the quality is the same of the major networks. Absolutely stunning! WHY THREE STARS? Because it doesn’t identify which programs you’ve already have seen. Episodes of poker shows look similar, but I don’t know if I’ve seen it already. You Tube identifies programs you’ve seen in full, or the red line indicates you’ve seen some. Fix that, should be easy and I’ll voluntarily adjust my rating to THE MAXIMUM FIVE STARS. Or, if it’s there somewhere and I’m missing it, respond to this review, please. Love Ali and Nick, btw! Thanks, David

Caution ahead - updated

I purchased PokerGO to watch the content which I greatly enjoy. I bought on my AppleTV. It shows up in my purchases in my App Store subscriptions, however it won’t let me restore purchases successfully from my iPad, so I can’t watch on other devices. It also doesn’t allow me to figure out my password or reset it from my iPad. Since I’m now away from my Apple TV for a while, this subscription is useless to me. Will ask for a refund unless someone can help address this issue with me. Great content is there, but it’s such a pain to use, I’ll just find other poker content elsewhere. UPDATE - PokerGO contacted me and I was able to resolve the issue. The AppleTV signup didn’t require a password and I needed to reset the password to play on the iPad. The App still is not perfect (hard to surf), but the content is excellent and they honestly tried to help. Give it a try.

App could use QOL adjustments

Every time I go from landscape to portrait mode the video stops. Oddly enough it doesn’t do that when going from portrait to landscape mode, not that I want that to happen. It gets really annoying when I’m trying to watch something while laying down because when I accidentally turn my phone to much my video stops. Can you guys just make it so video playback isn’t stopped when switching from landscape to vertical mode. That’s my personal gripe with the app right now.

Love the content, but painfully buggy on all platforms

Was so excited to watch my fav poker shows like High Stakes and Poker After Dark. You can’t actually watch anything without a paid subscription, but I knew that going in and didn’t have an issue paying for quality content. But the apps for iPhone, iPad, and AppleTV are so poorly done they are basically unusable. None of the apps mark your progress, so you are left guessing which episodes you’ve seen. There’s also no way to let it auto advance to the next episode, you have to go back to the series page and take another guess at what’s next. On AppleTV, entire series won’t even load. But the last straw was when the apps stopped recognizing my App Store purchase. There’s no “restore my purchase” option at all on AppleTV, and while there’s an option for it on the iPad and iPhone apps, it no longer works. I both canceled my subscription and asked for a refund of my current month, since there’s no way to use it.

Less money on PokerGo studios, more towards app development?

I think many of the PokerGo streaming community and myself would love to see some improvements soon. Although the visual aspects of the app are pleasing (as is the PokerGo studio), there needs to be a fix with the app. Scrubbing and no auto-save for sometimes an 8hr clip is extremely annoying. I wish I could stream these events on Twitch instead to have a chat room, but of course if PokerGo would not be able to provide this live, rather in 8hr clips that do not save where you left off... Anyways, I had some problems with this app last year, happily I subscribed for the last 11 months but unfortunately re subscribing to watch this seasons poker events. Would LOVE for a software update!! See your other customers reviews as well!!!

If LIVE for Poker and are passionate about the game, this is the app for you. The monthly cost seems minimal for all of the content you have access to. I enjoy watching the different cash games and keeping up with the World Series of Poker events. The ability to put the app on my smart phone, iPad and smart television, so I can watch Poker Go where I am and how I want to makes it even easier and convenient. I have not even mentioned that I have rewatched High Stakes Poker from the early 2000’s from the 1st season to the last twice.

Very Buggy

I love the content on the App, but this app had some very frustrating bugs from time to time. Twice now I’ve tried to subscribe through the app, only to have my payment go through but fail to actually subscribe me. The money will be charged on my end, but I’ve had to go and request refunds from Apple due to not actually being subscribed. There are also many times when the images and titles of certain content don’t match where you’re taken when selected. For example, when I select to watch what I think is High Stakes Poker, occasionally I’ll be taken to something completely different. Again, great content, but app can use some serious improvements.

Impossible to use

App is buggy to the point it is unusable. Video feed freezes frequently despite the audio continuing on. The next video automatically playing is all buggily coded, so I just get jumped from episode to episode if I try to watch something I’ve opened or watched before. The audio gets further off sync from video as you watch. This is honestly the worst streaming service I’ve ever had. It’s too bad, every year or so I try to give PokerGO another chance because I want the poker content, but it is continuously just unusable buggy and bad, to the point the best quality content in the world can’t make up for dealing with the interface. I wish it was better on desktop…

Great content, terrible app

I love the content that Poker Go offers however the app is absolutely horrendous. It has tons of glitches however the issue that I have the most is that once you start an episode (being as some of the cash games of seasons past are hours long) there is not an option to “continue watching” or pick up where you left off on certain episodes. So I am basically having to make notes of which season, which episodes I am currently watching and furthermore, the time stamp of where I am at in a specific episode to be able to fast forward to that spot. If this issue alone would be addressed, it would be a 5 star rating from me.

Cmon Poker Go

So many issues with the app. Don’t know what I’ve already watched and don’t know where I am in continuing an episode. Not to mention all the bugs where an episode will black out video or cut out audio randomly. Videos randomly skip to minutes ahead of where I was. You would’ve thought they would’ve fixed these issues in time for the high stakes duels and whatnot... on top of that the subscription price is a bit hefty... don’t know why these things haven’t been fixed for years. Get on it guys. No one wants to pay for a broken product. And while it is great content, none of that matters if I can’t watch it properly.

Video starts over again and again

The content is great but the app makes it impossible for you to finish watching videos. If you go to another app and come back to it, the video restarts. Or you’ll be watching and a message will pop up saying you have logged in on another device and the video shuts off and you have to restart. For an app you have to pay for, this sub par quality. Especially at $10 a month. I will not pay for this. Maybe if it was a one time fee of $2.99 it would be worth all of the headaches but not for $120 a year. I’ll keep checking back to see if they correct this nonsense.

Won’t let me resume watching

Lots of poker to watch and enjoy, but if I stop in the middle of watching something the app doesn’t remember where I was so I can “resume” my viewing when I return. So I have to write down what I was watching and the time I stopped so I can shuttle to where I had been. I add things to my favorite file but even there it won’t remember where I was. I’m trying this for a month and if I can’t get this issue resolved I’ll find another way to watch poker.

App is Terrible

Content is excellent, and on your TV it works great. However, I’ve never used a worse streaming app on my phone/iPad ever. It freezes constantly, goes black while audio still plays, you can’t scrub through and it is virtually unusable. It’s unfortunate. This is my second year with Poker Go and I will not be renewing if this doesn’t improve. Hopefully someone is paying attention to these reviews, there’s obviously a way to improve an app as hundreds of others have it down correct. Business will be lost if this doesn’t improve.

Terrible video quality

This is a great app to use for all the great poker content, I’ve used it for a long time now. My only complaint, and it’s a big one, is that it’s the worse streaming video app out there. It always freezes, doesn’t load, plays noise with just a blank video. Is there something you guys can do to reinvest a little of the money to make the streaming quality better for everyone? I know I’m not alone, there are so many reviews and people experiencing the same issues and you guys don’t seem to want to resolve it. Thanks!

Must-have for poker fans

The summer of 2017 I became a PokerGo subscriber. I watched hundreds (maybe thousands) of hours in live streams and on-demand replays. As a customer, I witnessed PokerGo’s commitment: to solve the streaming challenges in the beginning, to create exclusive content with some of poker’s best players, to ensure live streaming is available on a regular basis. I can certify that PokerGo works great on my mobile devices both on WiFi and cell data. This application is a must-have for all poker fans!

Constant lagging issues

Even if you are on wi fi, watching on your phone, the episodes constantly freeze or lag out to where you cant even see the screen. The commentary starts overlapping and this happens every time you try to watch on your phone. I have the latest apple smartphone so, they need to fix these bugs asap. Terrible. Can’t even make it through an episode without closing the app and reloading it 20 times smh. Very frustrating for someone who lives to watch poker, especially the classic wsop main events

Great Content - new adds regularly / iOS app needs a hug

The content is world class and constantly being added to. Great WSOP coverage, and new shows being added all the time. Let’s assume the content is what every poker player would want and more… Guys - you’ve got to get some better app developers on the staff. If you menu scroll too fast (firestick issue not iOS) it bugs out. You can’t see where you left off from iOS device to iOS device. There’s now, with new version of this app, an annoying red banner across the content - on occasion - that says Poor internet connection (fake news!). Just basic streaming video app QA stuff. Great responsiveness from customer service. Great content. Great price. Bad app that has and is improving. Hug the app, Boys.

Fantastic Content, App is improving

The poker content is fantastic! Zero complaints, and worth every penny. The App has some issues and could be improved, but it does the job and delivers the content. I wish they would show more info on the account (last 4 of card being used, subscription dates, past charges, etc.)

5 star poker content!

I love everything about poker go from the monthly or annual subscription being reasonable to the amount of content and entertainment you can find on the app! They’ve also started showing mix game cash games which is awesome for true poker players to watch and get a feel as if they had a seat in Bobby’s room! Hope they continue to provide great content as always

Best Poker App

I am a loyal subscriber of PokerGo and extremely pleased with the content and ease of use of the app on multiple platforms. I am a fan of classic poker content and PokerGo has it all from WSOP to High Stakes Poker. PokerGo has amazing self produced content that goes deep into the personalities and the lighter side of the game both on and off the felt. Whenever I have a question about the app or content I contact Lara at PokerGo support she is the very best! 5 Stars

Subscription payed for but not recognized by app

I tried to buy the subscription to watch the high stakes duel tonight. But once I paid for the quarterly subscription I was still unable to watch locked content and it kept bring me to the subscription page even though I already got the Apple receipt proving I bought it. Hoping this is rectified soon because I was looking forward to the content. Edit: Issue has been resolved

Pause button and time bar are too close together!

The UI for watching videos is terrible! I am watching Rob Yong’s home game in full screen mode in my iPad 12.9” and wanted to pause the video. But the pause button and time display (scrub) are so close together that the video instead moved to the middle of the video! This has happened several times to me. 🙁 It takes a while for me to get back to where I was because I don’t know exactly where I was. Horrible user experience, please add more space between the controls!!!

PokerGO is great

I’ve been a PokerGO subscriber from the start. Customer service has been great and the selection of poker content to watch is excellent. When I first subscribed I was worried there wouldn’t be enough content to keep me satisfied, but now I have a back log of events and shows that I haven’t had time to watch.

Not much content

I downloaded the app so I could try to follow the main event thinking I would get most of the action but it’s maybe 2 hours a day of coverage, most of which is watching boring hands get raised to 2.5 bigs and folded preflop over and over. Definitely was expecting a lot more content and/or more hand breakdowns. Too often they aren’t sure who or what to focus on and flip between hands in progress. It’s still a new service so maybe it will get better, but I definitely feel like I wasted $10.

Working through issues

I have done the year subscription and do expect more for $100. That being said, I have seen progress in addressing issues. It was frustrating (for me and the announcers) to have no player sound during the first three days of NL High Stakes tourney that was held in the new theater. Nothing has been done for the early adopters, but still working out the kinks. However, they have a bit of a strangle hold on a lot of poker content.

While the poker community appreciates PokerGO..it could be better.

Please find ways to get more content…maybe following events, news stories outside of Vegas. I know this is done somewhat, but how about giving more exposure to the Texas scene. I have seen many times complaints about saving your place when you stop watching. This is really important on a 5-8 hour event.

A great customer service experience

I called to cancel my subscription and was treated with a kind and understanding female voice (I can’t remember her name). She approved my request for the more recent charge to my cc right away and I received it in a timely fashion. It’s hard to find good customer service these days but today whoever she is won the day.

Absolutely Unusable After Last Update

I’ve been using PokerGO App for a while; the app hasn’t been the greatest but it’s been fine and has worked well enough. But, I don’t know if it was due to the last update or what, but it has been completely unusable. I can’t even tap anything on screen; everything stays frozen. Then I go and close out the app and the commentary is still going on for 10 more seconds. If they don’t change this soon I’m never using this app again

The Go-To App for Poker Streaming

Great app! I have very little hiccups and there can be issues when live streaming content, but the app is solid, looks great, hosts a ton of content and will only get better. This is a vital service to the poker community and I get the sense a lot of people at PGO want the best and to be the best. Happy streaming!

Do you like watching poker?

If you do, this app is great. I’ve spent most of my time so far catching up on tournaments that I’ve missed using my AppleTV. I just love being able to hear that ESPN guitar intro on the Classic WSOP episodes. One of my best app purchases. Is the interface a bit clunky? Yes, but the poker is great!

My favorite TV!

I LOVE this app! I love watching poker, so PokerGO is the only obvious choice. It is a huge value at its price point. Their coverage is top notch, and I really like their commentators. Their productions are very professional. There are so many games, you cannot possibly run out of tournaments and content to watch. I will definitely be renewing MY annual subscription.

Something easy I assume

Guys until now I am happy with the app. But one thing is very annoying...the app doesn’t recall where you left an episode, you have to remember that you left a certain episode on minute 54 so that you can continue watching. I have already complained about this and you told me to re install the app. I have done so in all my devices and still the same problem. Also if I watch on the iPad it doesn’t update on the other devices. Fix this please. Now even worst is the fact that I search for poker after dark, click on the episode and nothing happens. About to cancel my subscription with PokerGO. This is unacceptable...

Can’t see episode # in on demand section

With the last update, you can’t see the episode numbers in the on demand section. All you can see is the season # and a photo. You have to tap the actual episode to open it up to see which one it is. Also, they are not listed in order which makes this process very time consuming. I love all the high stakes poker and poker after dark episodes, but wish the app was easier to navigate these.

Great content!

I really like the on demand content that I can watch on my schedule and stop and start. Making my way through the old High Stakes Poker shows and they are very entertaining. The super high rollers are also wonderful to study and watch.

Terrible service platform

I bought PokerGO to watch High Stakes poker. I signed up for an account on my iPhone. I couldn’t cancel my subscription within the app. Can’t cancel my subscription on my iPhone. Can’t cancel my subscription when I go on the website on my mobile. Can’t cancel my subscription when I email them about cancelling it. But they make it so easy to create an account… Nice little money grab they have going on. I’m never buying a subscription again.

Some really obvious issues

Great poker content but the app is a hot mess. Even just getting the content to load requires opening/closing the app numerous times. Ok, finally, the app opens properly. It’s not always so easy to find the content you want, but let’s say you do. Then you start watching a 3hour session. It doesn’t save your location in the video ! Every time you close the app you need to find your spot again. What a pain. Start here and we can add additional critiques.

Great streaming

This has been an awesome find for myself. If you really like the different games as well as hold em you can use this platform to watch all of an event to study or watch like Moneymaker win it all again in 2003. Well worth the 10 dollars a month and customer service is excellent!

Great customer service and app

I love watching poker and this app allows me to watch all the poker I want. I also signed up during a promotion where I got a free sweatshirt and didn’t get it in the mail. I email the customer support and they got back to me immediately and resolved the issue. I’m super happy!

From your favorite players to high stakes phenoms. I love the real time content and have been riveted for hours. Definitely recommend more than entertaining, it will have you thinking more critically about your game.

Unable to use app when subscribed.

Wondering if anybody else has had this issue? I have subscribed to the app, yet when I am in the main screen it has everything showing as locked. However when I click on the lock and it asks me to subscribe again, when I click the subscription it states that I am already subscribed. I don’t know if anybody else has this issue but it is very frustrating.

Don’t spend your money

I spent my ten dollars so you don’t have to. I really wanted this app to work well as I was hoping to watch live action and their in demand catalog. However the app and even website doesn’t work well for streaming. Missing episodes, issues maximizing or popping out player, random rollbacks, and slow loading the app. It had potential but the company doesn’t seem to respect its users enough to make a platform that works. Disappointed doesn’t cover it.

Keep getting signed out

Hey guys. I downloaded a PokerGO yearly subscription to watch the WSOP Main Events. The content is fantastic, however it would be even better if it had a permanent sign in. I really appreciate the content you guys put into this app and look forward to watching more content in the future :)

Great poker content

I’ve been a subscriber since year 1 and always enjoyed the range of content. Getting my annual fix of the WSOP is a highlight every year. Enjoying the IPad app as an alternate to my computer. The growing “vault” feature is also a great asset for seeing older WSOP feature table broadcasts.

I enjoy Poker Go

I enjoy using the poker Go app. Would enjoy more cash game streaming. Those games seem to flow better than the tournament slow tankers that seem to be prevalent. I enjoy the worldly content and seeing how how players from Europe approach the game.
