Can’t use Apple Pay to add funds to a card. I just wanted to add $40 to card using the Add Funds button. Only can use Apple Pay for weekly, monthly, etc. passes. Please fully integrate Apple Pay please. (This is better for you too, as you don’t keep card numbers, which can be a security mess). Express Transit Card capability. Add this feature so we can just tap our phone and get right on the ride. Many other cities have this—NYC and London are two that come to mind. Thank you!!!
Apple Pay is my preferred way of paying for things. Both privacy and convenience are better that way. The past two weeks I have been unable to use it on this app. If they patch Apple Pay I will bump to 4 stars instead of 2.
This app is an embarrassment. First of all, why do we even need an app for this when you can do this directly from Apple Wallet in every other city? Second of all, the first thing at the top of the screen is a big disclaimer warning you that bus drivers will pass you by if you’re looking at your phone. This happened to me yesterday because I looked down to activate my ticket in this garbage app while standing directly under the bus stop sign. Either get your drivers in order or get rid of this worthless app that every other city has already proven to be unnecessary.
Something’s wrong wit the app I’m tryna catch the bus and the app took 20mins too load lucky the bus driver said I can get on and scan wen it works smh other then today the app worked fine 4star bc it’s messing up for me and I was almost late for work but 5star if it’s fixed and working
The app is only useful for tickets. For all else you're sent to the web. With that out the way, I called Port Authority because the buses arent showing and his reply is they dont have an app so anything I'm seeing is wrong. Yeah. I also said "site" which wasn't displaying any update and took away the update earlier. It went from 20 something minutes to no updates available. Always gotta be PA!
No ability to integrate existing ConnectCard accounts.
Was looking forward to using this app, but there is zero way to integrate my existing ConnectCard account into the app so I can use it on the buses and save the physical ConnectCard usage for the T. There needs to be integration of existing ConnectCard users. Also, for those who buy them, there also needs to be an ability to buy an annual pass along with the daily, weekly, and monthly.
It’s hard to imagine a more inane transportation app. Once you add money to your account, you need to click on 12 different things (no exaggeration) EACH time you want to ride the bus. This should be like the ConnectCard. You should be able to simply open the app and scan it. But instead, they made it unnecessarily complicated.
I’ve been using this app for the better part of a year. I’ve had multiple occasions where my PNC card (one of the most common in the city), was charged yet I didn’t get access to a ticket. Since they’ve updated this app four months ago I’ve been unable to use Apple Pay for my bus tickets.
As other people have mentioned, you can’t use Apple Pay or credit cards to add funds even though the app supposedly gives you that option. It’s paramount to false promises. Can’t track light rail trains on it either. Overall, not a user friendly app and basically useless to me. Shame.
I downloaded the app, funded it, and found out it can’t pay for my bus. The driver told me it’s “not this one”, though I can’t figure out which one it’s meant to be. Now I think that I needed to have told the app first that I meant to buy a ticket. Why would you setup the app that it wouldn’t mention that?
When you go to pick a payment option, there is no longer options listed and a white screen instead. If you’re going to charge people to ride your disgusting buses driven by unprofessional, understaffed workers, at least make a working app.
A coworker of recommended that I use this app instead of replacing my connect card that I lost. The first time I tried to scan it on the bus it didn’t work. Port Authority bus driver said he didn’t recognize the app. Very disappointed.
