Disappointing

I wish I'd read the other reviews. Sound works for me, but there is so little to this app. The show is so educational and engrossing. This lets you open and close 4 clams that make music, and place the characters on rocks so they sing. No educational value about nature, science, friendship, or even music. My son and I were so excited to play it, but done about 5 minutes later. With such wonderful art and source material, I can't help but feel that this was a simple cash grab.

Simple but brilliant app for Puffin Rock lovers

I’m baffled by the negative reviews for this app. It’s a simple app in terms of features, yes, but it’s still very well designed and perfect for 2-4 year olds that love Puffin Rock and have a strong aptitude for music. The app’s product description accurately describes it - within each of the two scenes, you can create a myriad of sound combinations by moving the 5 characters (as well as tapping on 4 mushrooms or 4 shells) to create a custom version of the song. When I first downloaded it for my 3.5 year old, we walked through it together, object by object, and noticed how each tiny change affected the overall sound. It is so neat and truly captures the unique sounds and individual personalities of the show. My daughter loves it and I have lots of fun with it as well. [Important side note: many reviewers complained about this app having no sound. Turn your volume switch on your iPhone on! This is the setting that determines on/off sound for this app.]

Fun and cute, but hampered by limitations

This is the seed for a great little game, and my toddler certainly likes playing with it, but finds it a little frustrating to interact with. The character movements are great and the music is adorable. But so far it is pretty limited, with only two locations and choices of music, not very many ways to have the character voices in the music (currently basically only one at a time based on where they are standing), and there is also very limited ability of the characters to interact with the scene. The recording feature is also a little bit haphazard. With some improvements this will be a great little app!

Works for me! Kids love it...

Downloaded after watching on Netflix. There are only two musicical environments, but all the animations and audio is authentic to the style of the show. Great app for any kids who are a fan of the show. No updates for a couple years - hope there’s a chance with the series streaming online.

Works in iOS 13 on iPhone XR

This works on iOS 13 on my iPhone XR just fine, and is an amusing little thing. However, it’s exceptionally limited in that it only has two scenes to select from. From a UX perspective it could also use a little work as it takes about ten seconds to switch between the two different scenes, which is a little excessive.

Sound only works with phone off silent

A good app for preschoolers. Make sure phone is off silent to work sound. Two backgrounds to move the puffin rock characters around and two songs to listen to.

Disappointed in the developers of this app for not fixing any problems with it...such as the complete lack of sound...for an app that’s all about making music.

my daughter loves the app

we love the app but we get frustrated that sometimes the sound does not work when you open the app. it's a sometimes app and the only app i've payed for ever

Don't buy this App if you have an iPhone 5! NO sound. Total waste of money!!

Hyper cute

As cute as the show, well animated, and the mixing is surprisingly good. I'm missing some of the excellent Puffin Rock themes, though, and I hope they make it into the app in a future update. I'd also like waveforms for the different parts visualized, but that's probably a lot to ask for. I have no children. My wife and I just love puffins.

Sound works and graphics are great

I think this app is super cute. My daughter is very young, so the ease of moving the characters around is really entertaining enough for her. The sound works just fine. We love the Puffin Rock music.

Very cute app

It needs a little more to it as there's only two locales in the app. The animation is pitch perfect and the character voices are all lifted from the show. Just hoping they expand upon the app with free updates that add more music, characters, etc.

Sound only works with headphones!

This is a cute distraction, but there sound only works with my headphones plugged in, which don't work so well for my little kids who want to play with it together. We'd love to see more content from Puffin Rock, it's a darling little show.

Waste of money and it made my daughter cry because it's a pos with sound!!!

Don't waste your money!! How they expect anyone to leave positive feedback is beyond me. Make a nice looking app that has no sound, brilliant. Idiots.

My grandkids love Puffin Rock, so I paid to download the app with the music because they know all the songs from the show. I am not getting any sound.

Terrible.

The app is called 'Puffin Rock Music' but there's no sound (does not work on my iPhone 7 Plus or iPad Pro). I will seek a refund.
