Briefs + exam prep materials = worth it. Lectures are average but do have nice visual components.
It’s a must have for law school. Best comprehensive and most in-depth case briefs of any supplemental law school site. Great for review or checking your ability to pull relevant facts, issue, rule, analysis, etc. And also great for those times when you just can’t bring yourself to open the casebook. The multiple choice and short answer essay prompts are great for review and exam prep. Independent practice of applying the doctrines learned in class are scarce to non-existent. I also find the flash card feature and outlines helpful, but these aren’t too dissimilar from any commercial outline you can probably get for free at your law school (Barbari, etc.). The content of the lectures could be more comprehensive. It’d be nice if they provided an index of frequently cited cases for the topic of discussion. This would allow students to read fact patterns in which the issue/topic of discussion arose. The lectures seem to be an “outline” read aloud. They do have solid illustrations, though, which I find helpful as a visual learner.

Incredibly helpful for law school!
Easy to understand, well-made videos that highlight the important elements of each case as well as explaining the precedent of the case wonderfully. Not only does it have great case videos, but it also has video modules on major law school classes (civ pro, torts, contracts, etc.) that explain the general topics of the class, and includes quizzes to test yourself. You can also look up foreign law jargon with an understandable explanation of the vocabulary. Unfortunately this does come with a less than ideal price tag, but to me it was worth it. Highly recommend!

The videos speak way too fast…
Quimbee is an excellent app. It provides a lot of useful information in the instructional videos and in the case brief videos. However, my biggest complaint is that the videos speak way too fast most of the time. For the past 2 years, the 0.5x speed button never did anything on my account. So I wrote to Quimbee and they fixed it. So I started listening to videos at 0.5x speed but that speed way painfully slow. What I really need is 0.75x speed so that the video is slowed down enough for me to hear it at a reasonable speed but not too slow. The app allows such smaller incremental speed increases of 1.25x speed if you want to zoom through the video but it doesn’t offer a 0.75x speed if you want to listen slower like I do. I wish they would fix this issue. My second complaint is that while Quimbee has courses on many different subjects, it doesn’t have any learning courses on some popular or specialized subjects like Florida Constitutional Law for example.

Could be Better for Law Students
I have subscribed to this website for the most part of law school. It helps with briefing cases and interpreting the the rule of law. I found that over the years Quimbee has improved the their website significantly. The problem I have is that Quimbee charges per outline and it becomes costly. They should have discounts for law students. We are paying student loans that some students will be paying for a lifetime. It’s very expensive to attend law school nowadays. Quimbee should have package deals for their study items. I would love to utilize their outlines but I can’t afford to pay per outline. I would like to see the outlines as a separate package deal and it be affordable for students. I used their MPRE outline that they offer for free and it’s very informative and helpful. I’m just saddened to say that I can’t utilize the other outlines on this website. Some of us are older students that have mortgages and children to support. I would like to see this change so all law students can access the entire website at an affordable price.

Horrible
Does not save your progress when working on practice exams, even though there is a button that says save and exit. I’ve had to start over multiple times. Complete waste of time and while studying for bar exam every minute counts. They do not have 24/7 tech support, customer support is worthless. I now have to write my answers on a note pad and reenter them when I am at the point I am ready to submit the entire exam. What’s the point of an app? This is supposed to be mobile, waiting at Starbucks for a drink, let me answer some questions, nope better have a notebook and pen otherwise it’s a waste of time. Exams only allow you to answer the questions all at once, no option to answer and then get the answer immediately. I liked Quimbee in law school, bar prep is a complete joke, I wouldn’t recommend.

Definitely a plus for 1Ls!
I’ve used quimbee to confirm and review what I’ve learned in class. It has multiple choice questions that allow you to apply what you’ve learned and they’re actually really good. The videos are a little shorter than the Barbri videos so I was able to keep my focus better. I definitely recommend! As for the essay questions, I feel like they should outline what topics are covered in each essay question so we don’t have to go through each essay and see what’s covered. You don’t review all the topics in a certain class so this would be helpful to see which essays we can actually do!

Pretty good material for law school but don’t rely on. Gold plan it!
Quimbee is an awesome resource for law students, and the good plan provides the greatest value to the user. I have no reservations about this statement. My only reservation is that relying on not reading cases and using Quimbee as your primary resource—or even if one uses Quimbee substantially/ frequently, but not as their primary aid—this robs the student the benefit of practice. Reading your legal textbook/ casebook is the way. Quimbee helps to distill, synthesize, and clarify. TLDR: Use both Quimbee and class texts. This leads to mastery. One or the other, mediocrity. So go be great. Much success to you!

Best Legal Study Aid
Cut down my time reading/briefing cases from 1 hour a case to about 30 minutes. The 5 minute videos are worth gold! If you are worried about the $35 a month, ask your self how much is your time worth, then how many hours will you saving using this. I promise it will be more than worth it under this analysis. The single greatest law school investment I have made. I also had great customer service from Tara Smith, who helped me resolve a payment issue with two short emails. Great customer service, amazing product, best legal investment for any law student.

Law school necessity
I love this app and I use it daily for multiple classes. The short courses and quiz features are helpful. I love that you can set the answer reveal to the end of the quiz or the end of each question, so that you can see question by question what you were doing right and what you were doing wrong and adjust as you go on but then take a quiz blind and see at the end as well based on your learning preferences. I cannot recommend this app enough and shoutout to the University of Wyoming for providing this service for your students!

Study where you can, not where you want
Life can be unpredictable. When something or someone messes up your plans, it is easy to say I’ll do it later. It is even harder to actually squeeze it back into your schedule. This app is amazing because it has allowed me to take a flexible approach to learning when life gets chaotic by studying in line at the grocery store or in the passenger seat of the car. If I had to make a recommendation for improvement, it would be to add a setting to slow down the lecture speed.

Quimbee is a great friend during law school
Quimbee is an invaluable companion during law school. The service provides voluminous and relevant case briefs, many with video presentations, and video course reviews for nearly every law school course. Meanwhile, available outlines for nearly every topic in law school provide a valuable resource to supplement any class notes and textbooks. This content is available at a low monthly fee. I plan on remaining a subscriber to Quimbee through the bar exam and into my professional years.

Quimbee
Quimbee is great for clarification. It is great to use when you run out of time as well as when you have extra time. I like to review during long car rides by listening to the quimbee videos. Watching the case videos in the morning is a good way to review what you read the night before and quickly get the main points solidified. Also, taking notes with the transcripts from course videos is a good way to start off a new unit. This helps me keep the main points in mind while reading new material.

Game changer
I can’t stress enough on the fact that quimbe is the best and simply underrated! My grades changed drastically during my second semester and I got straight A’s In contacts, civil procedure and torts law! I used quimbe to prepare for class and outlining after class combined with the professors class notes. I read the case brief on quimbe before doing the readings in my casebook and this saved me so many hours of studying and struggling with long cases. Best practice aswell for finals with the multiple choice questions and essays. I love this app so much ( excuse my English I am French studying In a US law school)

Best Review Course for Law School and Bar Exam
Studying for the CA Bar Exam, I have taken Barbri, Kaplan, and used God knows how many different supplements, and I find myself coming back to Quimbee for my studies. Why? Because Quimbee offers an in-depth approach to the legal principles commonly tested without drowning you in every legal principles learned during law school. The comprehensive outlines are succinct, the lectures highlight key laws, and you are forced to test your understanding throughout your studies. Thank you for offering this to those wise enough to look beyond the inner ego.

Got me through all 3 years!
Not perfect, but an excellent supplement for almost every class I took all three years. The quizzes are very helpful. I didn’t use the essay portion much. The videos are short, accurate, and entertaining. I’d recommend Quimbee in a heartbeat along with the Horn books, in a nutshell collections, and Q&A books. I found it helpful to diversify supplements, depending on the subject, and see which one made learning the subject easiest for me.

Changed Everything!
From day one my professors told us “don’t use Quimbee, even for questions or reference.” Fast forward to midterms of 1L, and not using reference material was killing me (D’s consistently across all classes). Now with Quimbee that has turned around, things are less stressful, and absence of confidence comes from getting the information in ways that work best for me (the videos for sure!!!)

Pretty Good
Tons of useful information but organized in a way that limits accessibility. For example, there’s no option to see all the Flashcards in a topic to pin point 1) whether or not it’s the subsection with the cards pertinent to what you want to study and 2) the actual cards you want to study. Some subsections have hundreds of cards and you have to skip potentially hundreds of cards to find the ones you want which is time consuming, annoying, and inefficient. Not sure why the limited access to users who have paid over $200 for the service.

“There’s an app for that”
Quimbee is hands down one of the best things a law student could have. On top of that, the fact that they have an app for it is great. It’s so simple to use and I can study any where at any time which even if i’m not learning anything it makes me feel like I was spending a lot more time studying and makes me more confident when it comes to taking exams. Thanks quimbee!

Love it!
Quimbee has been a life saver with helping me better comprehend difficult cases as a 1L student. Granted, you may have to read the entire case if your prof is looking for the specific language of an opinion or rule, it will definitely help you understand the main point of a case to give you a great starting point to go off of when book briefing.

Really Helpful but not as much as the site
I have really been enjoying learning on this app. The explanations are simple effective and helpful. However I did not realize until logging onto the site on my laptop that there are quizzes after each video. The app would be much improved if each quiz was included. The only quizzes that are included are the ones after the whole unit, which are helpful, but I feel like the app is missing out.

App is terrible
Half the reason you want the app is to play the videos. The video player is horrible. For weeks I haven’t even been able to watch the course videos because I’ll turn them on and then a delayed duplicate will play over in the background making it unwatchable. Also an issue when you play a video landscape you can’t drag the bar at the bottom to go to the time stamp you want, it just moves the entire screen.

Great information/not the best interface
Just what the title says. This is really helping me during my 1L year. However, the app isn’t as good as the website because you can’t control the speed of the playback in videos. Also, it lacks some of the features of the regular website. But Quimbee people you are doing God’s work to help me survive! Thank you!

One subscription I don’t mind paying
If you are like me, paying thousands of dollars in tuition yearly then paying 25$ for a Quimbee subscription is nothing. This app truly makes law school doable. With great case briefs, videos, case and law explanations this app solves all of my law school problems. No time to read a case? Just Quimbee it! Also Quimbee is a great tool to study for exams. It has flash cards, outlines, quizzes and essay questions. I 100% recommend!

I love Quimbee but the mobile app needs a little work.
There is an issue where changing the volume while watching a Quimbee video and using a Bluetooth device. When the volume is changed it will swap to the last used Audio stream like a music stream (Apple Music). Also I would love to see screen in screen support to watch the lectures while taking notes on my phone. Otherwise thank you for making such a powerful and diverse legal education supplement.

Quimbee is AMAZING
If you think Quimbee is good for case briefs, you’re really missing out on the course videos, quizzes, multiple choice questions, flashcards and essay questions. I use Quimbee as a pre-class study session to understand general concepts and post class to test/apply my knowledge. People are missing out big time if it’s not one of the supplements in their arsenal.

Great tool for law students on the go
I am a virtual law student, I also work full-time and I’m a parent. Having Quimbee to do practice questions, look at practice essays or look at cases has been tremendously valuable. Having the app makes all of that even more accessible when I’m waiting in the pick up line at school. Highly recommend.

Civil procedure
I don’t know how I would make it without the Quimbee videos and quizzes! I, like many others, learn the law through caselaw and not seeing a big picture of the concepts makes the beginning of any course difficult. These videos fix that! They simplify the concepts. Now when I’m reading new chapters, I already understand the concepts before I start drilling down into the weeds!

Must-have app for law students
I was reluctant to pay for the subscription for the first few months of my first semester, but after I did purchase the subscription, I was kicking myself for not doing it sooner. The content is incredibly helpful to aid studying efforts and comprehension of class discussion. Further, the case briefs are more accurate than any other service’s briefs out there. LexisNexis who?!

Overall great app!
Love the app, my only request would be to have more control over the flashcard use. It would be nice if you could skip certain cards or go back. Also instead of having low rated cards repeatedly come back up to the front of the deck as the default flashcard option, maybe just make that style of flashcarding a separate option of one what you can utilize the flashcards!

One of my best friends
Quimbee is a law school life-changer. I use their briefs before and after I read a case to make sure I focus on the right points going into my reading. The short quizzes and lessons are great to do before your course lectures. The course lectures get most of the main points across to give you a base line before your professor gives you what they want.

Videos don’t work on your phone
One of the main things I initially loved about Quimbee was that I could access the information, especially the videos, on my phone. After starting to use the app more frequently, I found that around 75% of the videos don’t play on my phone. When I reached out to support, they had me waiting for several days with the same one line response “we will let you know once our tech team has resolved the issue.” A very expensive app with a lot of bugs that still need fixing. Watch out for factual errors in the case briefs too!

Horrible system
Searching is a pain to do. The website materials and the app are not the same at all. Most of the website information is NoT on the app which makes it useless. The videos and course sets do not function. You cant okay the next video in a course set unless you know the name of it. Which you cant do on mobile. You need a pc to do it. I had hopes to be able to listen to courses while traveling. But i cant listen to anything and have to search constantly for what i want to listen to.

Need this as a law student
The work as a law student will bury you alive and you’ll still have no clue what’s going on. I cringe when a student says “I think the issue was…” Don’t be that person. Know the issue. Quimbee case briefs and their courses made law school feel manageable. Thank you for 3 great years of membership!

Bring back old printing
The updated version of the app prints briefs in the same format as the regular online version of Quimbee. I liked the old version that printed from the app. It had a smaller font and smaller margins. More words fit on each page and usually, the back and front of one page fit the entire brief. Now the margins and font are huge and the briefs print on to multiple pages (even printing on both sides). Please go back to old version for printing.

Amazing for school
Using this for law school is amazing - love the online app it is incredibly user friendly and I use it everyday. I highly recommend but I also pay for the most access so I’m not sure how accessible it will be if you are looking for something free to use. Definitely worth the money though if I do say so myself.

Was hesitant at first
I was hesitant at spending so much for a subscription, but I'm so glad I did. The case briefs really help to understand some of the more complicated cases and the practice questions are really good to review and get a sense for what I've got down and what I still need to study. I recommend quimbee to anyone in law school to supplement what you are leaning in class.

Fantastic app and course
Don’t misconstrue me: Quimbee got me my bar card, and saved me hundreds of dollars compared to its competitors. You should use them. My nitpicks are just that. Playing the (awesome) videos on my smart tv was slightly difficult - but doable. Hopefully it will be friendlier with time. The mobile app lacks some of the website’s functionality (maybe untrue by now). Working full time, the course schedule was patently unreasonable for me. I ignored it and reviewed the materials I had access to for a couple months before it officially started. I took some exception to some language here and there, but perfection is the enemy of the great.

Please Fix VIDEO FULL SCREEN on iOS
Hey Quimbees. I absolutely love the App. Great Job EXCEPT…………….… Your full screen (when I turn my phone to the side) view doesn’t work. The video will only stay small on my iPhone. It’s hard to read the text in videos when you can’t make it full screen on a sideways smart phone. And before you go asking, no, I don’t keep my phone on vertical lock. I’ve tinkered as much as I can to fix this, so now I’m punting it to your amazing web dev team that has made the app so user friendly and amazing. Literally if you fix this, you have a 5-star app, and I’ll revise my rating to you to 5-stars in a heartbeat. Great job!

No Download Capabilities
I prefer to listen to my CLEs while on the road. Often I lose service while on my drive. The fact that there’s not an option to download the program (which competing CLE providers, such as West Legal Education, provide) is disappointing. If this feature were available, I would increase my rating by at least two stars. The content is solid and it’s an easy way to fulfill your CLE requirement at a fair price.

Saving Grace for Law School
Quimbee has had my back since I began 1L year. The case briefs can sometimes save you from a cold call, however if you’re positive you’re going to be on call that day I would recommend using the case brief from quimbee for a general overview of the case to help guide your own brief.
