Shop without RetailMeNot, Oh I shutter to think 💭

Why shop at all if your not using RetailMeNot lol. I started using them when they first started and I’ve never look back! People would laugh at me because I literally would not buy anything without checking here first. But…….they quickly stopped laughing when they could see both the cash back and/or much lower prices I was getting. I like to let the cash back build up all year then reward myself with something awesome for myself that I otherwise would not 😁. I am a RetailMeNot fan/saver for life. Everyone should be, they are by far the best of all those copycats hehe.

I’ve used this app for about 9 months now and have run into nothing but trouble. I’ll click on the online cash back offer, process to check out via the partner site as usual and maybe 1/10 of my purchases are tracked by RMN. Here is were the problems start: after waiting 45+ days to allow for the purchase to be tracked- per their policy, customer service agents ask a million questions to ensure you are using the app “appropriately” (adding items to the cart only after you click the offer, making your purchase within an allotted amount of time after the offer is clicked, having the proper browser installed, etc.). After this point they have to do a manual payout once you provide proof of the purchase, well they get tired of doing this and will suspend your account with no explanation given. During my last email exchange with a rep I was told they have issues with their app tracking purchases and this is a known issue but still refuse to process any additional manual payouts. When it works it’s ok, but trying to haggle with people to get money back is a pain, totally not worth it. Please don’t download this app and google their reviews and complaints with the BBB, I’m not the only one having issues with this company!

Complete waste of time

Added the extension to safari and it’s been nothing but a hassle. First, the extension frequently causes websites to crash. The extension also enables a box with an “R” on the right hand side of every web page and every time I’ve tried filtering results when shopping, this “R” box causes issues selecting filters. I find myself disabling the extension more than using it. Which brings me to the biggest issue of all. I’ve been using the extension for a month now and while the purchases show under the rewards activity, not a single reward has been process nor do the rewards activity show the purchase amount or cash back I will receive. Even if it was just in pending status, no big deal! But the fact that it’s just the name of the store where I made the purchase and nothing more makes me feel like I got scammed. Oh! And when I click on each reward (there’s 5 that I’ve activated) it states “We’re waiting for -insert store name here- to let us know you made a purchase.” I can’t find a way to contact customer service and all in all, I’m just frustrating with the app and the extension. My experience on a whole has been BAD.

Used to work, but not so much

I used to check the app and use the coupon availability before I would shop all the time. But the last few times I tried to use the listed coupons, I would be told at the store that the coupons weren’t valid or they just didn’t work. Some stores would be nice and honor them, probably to keep customers happy, but some downright refused. Also, I used to take advantage of the Cash Back rewards option but for the last 2 months, I am unable to link my card, and receive an error message that states “We’re having an issue linking this offer at this time, but we’re working hard to fix it. Please try again soon.” I have notified customer service and received a response stating they are looking into it and never heard back. I even deleted and reinstalled the app, but still get the same error message. I’ve since switched to using Ebates, and have not had any issues. The couple times I’ve contacted customer service, I’ve had quicker response times, resolutions, and even a follow up email to make sure my issue was addressed and corrected.

ZERO Customer Service

I had to close my PayPal account due to fraud. So, I opened a new account and changed my RMN account email address to reflect my new PayPal email. Then, I contacted RMN to inform them of this prior to redeeming my rewards. However, after I redeemed my cash rewards, RMN still sent my money to my old, closed account, which I no longer have access to. They refuse to cancel it and resend it to my updated email. So, they basically just stole my cash rewards! So, beware if you ever have to change your email address. Apparently, they ignore the change and will still send your money to your old one. SMH. I’ve never witnessed such impractical lunacy in my whole life. And, after almost a dozen emails, they still refuse to fix this! So much for customer service! UPDATE: I upgraded my rating from 1 star to 3 because RMN finally resolved my issue. However, it took countless communications, weeks, etc., before someone was finally willing to assist me.

🤬Under Armour gift card HELL🤬

I attempted to purchase a $100 gift card that would give me 10% back instantly in stores or online and the experience was ridiculous! First of all any company in this day and age that doesn’t provide a phone number to speak to a live agent should be the first HUGE RED FLAD 🚩. I wasted a entire Sunday clowning around with their ridiculously slow system waiting for the sale to process and both attempts after like 12 hrs I was advised the sale was not processed and the funds would not be deducted from my credit card. I contacted my financial institution’s customer service to inquire if the issue was a denial from my bank and they confirmed it was all on RetailMeNot’s side of the attempted transaction. Do not waste your time or your available credit balance on these clowns. I now have a $200 pending amount on my credit card that I have to deal with a lower available balance for however long it will take to drop off the system. Their chat agents during normal business hours are absolutely useless also. 🤬

What’s the point?

The sole purpose of this app is to save money while shopping and it couldn’t even help me do that.... I bought 200 dollar shoes from finish line and on RetailMeNot it said “scan your receipt for 3% back” ....... I obviously did that. 45 days later I was supposed to get the 3%... To this very day I have not had a single email from RetailMeNot .. confirming that I submitted my receipt, etc. There’s nothing from them... on the app I tried to check my history and there’s no history of me doing that ... how could there not be a history or email record? Like do you really think I’d take time out of my schedule to write this review if you guys didn’t mess up? You have one job.... I can’t believe I never even got an email confirmation and that there’s no history on the app.. Your customer service support or whatever is a joke... there’s NOTHING for “can’t see my purchase” nothing even close to it... what a waste of space on my phone.

Flawed. Waste of time.

Should have read more comments before downloading RMN. They’re using a so-called “3rd party specialist” that declines your transactions randomly. Just saw another comment and realized I wasn’t the only person who had tried a few times, contacted their support, and their support could offer no explanation, no solution, no nothing. Seriously RMN is not the only gift card app available. And despite you claiming ALL the gift card apps use the same “3rd party specialist”, I had made purchases on other apps just fine. So stop pointing finger at customers when you cannot even handle your own payment, or pick a valid vendor to handle payment for you. UPDATE: Please stop your meaningless reply. Note that the so-called “security measure” you have is randomly blocking customers who have no issues with ANY other online retailers. And stop telling people to try again if you know it won’t work. Be a responsible developer.

Great app

Needs a good landscape mode for ipads, but otherwise quite useful and effective. RetailMeNot is exceptional in tracking every reward from link to purchase to reward and goes out of there way to let you know when you have a reward to cash out… other sites/apps leave it up to you to check back constantly. They email me about my rewards and tracking info but do not spam me with unwanted email, which I very much appreciate. I use several reward sites and RetailMeNot is (by far) my favorite choice for those stores that they are associated with.

Worst customer experience

I bought the $80 gift card to purchase an on-sale item I saw on Cole Haan app. Cole Haan app does not allow for gift card input. The gift card itself does not provide any instructions on how to redeem it. I tried many times in the Cole Haan app but failed to use it. I asked for a refund from Retail me not, not only is their customer service unreachable via the number listed, but their reps insisted that they are not responsible for Cole Haan’s checkout page hence no refund will be issued. This is a horrible customer experience Retail me not is only interested in getting money from their customers but cares less about the customers’ experience with their products. Retail me not, your partner’s checkout experience matters. It is part of Retail me not’s customer experience. If you fail to recognize that, you have no future. Will never use the app again. Deleting for good.

HSN 10% Cash Bank ran into “unknown error” now.

Cannot get the HSN 10% cash back to work now so I had to buy my $200 purchase without getting my cash back. I tried several times. It wasn’t expired. Also RMN needs to offer other ways to redeem cash back instead of paypal or Venmo so I don’t get a Form 1099 at year end if my cash back exceeds $600. RMN needs to adjust to these new IRS rules. Please offer direct transfer into a checking account or to be able to redeem cash back for various gift cards like BeFrugal does. I don’t want to have to pay taxes on my cash back at year end. Get with it RMN.

Easy, effortless way to earn/ save money!!

I have been using Retail Me Not (RMN) for many years now & have saved/earned over $1k. It is as simple as choosing the store you want to shop via the RMN app or website and placing your order through the store. If you do have any issues with getting your cash back, the customer service is excellent. You can use the online chat, and they will usually respond immediately M-F, update you , as well as give you a timeline when you should receive your cash back. It is also effortless to cash out and get paid!

Never had a problem

I love the cash back! Received 15 dollars cash back for spending over 100$ on ulta! They transferred it to my PayPal. Takes couple of weeks but it's worth it. Seems to me that other ppl are having problems with cash back. U have to follow everything it says. U hit on your coupon on RetailMeNot than It will re-direct you to the website that you are buying from. make sure you make an account with the website that you are buying from first with the same email you have with retail me not. Then follow all the steps. Should work.

We love Retail Me Not!

Any app/website that can help us save some hard earned cash on items we need anyway is truly a Godsend. It’s a good idea to check in often because the savings categories are ever changing as well. There’s nothing as bad as making a purchase for an item, a service, or even a trip or unique experience, then discovering that you could have gotten so much more for that same dollar. When it comes to saving money, Retail me not is truly a lifeline.

Can’t Use For Bath and Body Works ANYMORE!!

I’m not happy with NOT being able to use Bath and Body Works coupons from Retail Me Not in their stores anymore. I stopped signing up for their coupons because I had this app and the BBW stores were using them. Recently went into one of their stores and the store manager informed me the company has not used Retail Me Not since Jan 2018. Which I told her that is wrong because I have used this app in other BBW stores and they have taken the coupons from this app. She was nice enough to honor the coupon I had but stated I couldn’t use it going forward, but to sign up for BBW coupons again to receive them. It was really disappointing being so I recently used this app during Black Friday weekend at another BBW store. The BBW stores and other retail stores not using third-party apps for coupons need to regulate this new policy change for all their stores. Other than BBW, I have not had issues using Retail Me Not in other stores when checking out. So the app is still useful for me when I am out shopping.

Not like it used to be

I’ve used the website and app for a couple years now, not religiously but enough to know that the current state of coupon codes are crap. I’ve not been able to find one that has been useable and therefore makes my search a lot of wasted time and effort. I feel like I’m being scammed every time I waste my time. My time is as important and valuable as it is to you and hopefully you will do much better, in the very near future. Otherwise you are no better than the rest of the useless companies only interested in using customer data for your benefit. You get paid. So fix this problem.

Retail trickery

It’s a shame how this app reels one in to think they are getting a deal, and then you have to get embarrassed at the register when the cashier has to explain that there is a stipulation to the deal that was not communicated in the ad on the Retailmenot app. I was so disgusted. $5 cash back on purchases of $100+ on weekly items. Because I had multiple items that did not add up to $100+ and not a single item costing $100 or more, my purchase did not qualify for the deal.🤮

Loved RetailMeNot since Day 1

A friend told me about RetailMeNot not too long after the app came out. It is so easy to use! I always come here for sending flowers, buying make-up and hair care and savings at a off-price national clothing store. You can guess the brands since they regularly have discounts and coupons. ..Also when I'm planning to do a bigger shopping trip at the mall, RetailMeNot let's me know about the latest deals.

I can’t say enough about how essential this app is to me when I shop for literally everything online! I don’t make a move without checking for a discount first on Retailmenot. I appreciate how easy it is to find the information I’m looking for and how large of a selection of stores they have. I enjoy saving money and they make it so easy. I’m a customer for life!

Here and there

There are times I find great in store offers & other times they don't have the store or resturant I'm interested in. I'm a store shopper, I like to see the product before I purchase it. But more & more lately I feel the online or sign up for email deals are pushed more then in store offers. The in store deals are the whole reason I downloaded the app a year or two ago. So, have been a little disappointed with the app lately & haven't been using it as frequently.

Great app for never paying full price

I hate paying full price on anything. I found out about this app when I actually went into bath and body works and the cashier told me I could find their coupon in this app. Ever since, this has been my go to app when I want to find a deal anywhere if I don’t have the member app. Definitely worth the download and just trying it since it doesn’t cost you anything.

Coupon codes, electronic gift cards, where can a couponer die and go to heaven. THIS IS AWSOME!!! I have had Retailmenot on my phone for 5 years... and it keeps getting better. If you shop online or in stores you need this app. I go shopping and ask the clerk if they know of any extra discounts? If yes, then open my phone and check this site. Done and done. No carrying around a bag full of expired, and tattered coupons anymore!

The cash back doesn’t work and they don’t care

I cannot redeem cash back because the app that I’m signed into all ages that I don’t know my password and therefore they can’t verify my account. I changed the password and still have the same issue. I contacted customer service and they claimed to be in the middle of system upgrades and encouraged me to make sure I had the most recent version of the app. I personally believe they want my reward to expire without having to pay it out or they have no intention of honoring it to begin with. Smh.

Easily saves you money.

I stumbled upon retailmenot unintentionally but I’m glad I did. I was intimidated at first and not really sure how to use it. While Christmas shopping I entered in a Kholes store and because of the GPS feature it gave me a notification of some great deals! My sister and I both used different coupons at checkout and they both worked! 😍 Now I check here before making most purchases.

Quite a disappointment

If their third party verification system (of course it’s not their fault) for purchases has the least bit of hesitation when approving your purchase then both your account AND card are locked out forever. There is no way (according to RMN) to unlock either. Apparently this is their policy and they never tell you that until you talk to a customer service manager. So you keep working and working on it, trying to get the card(s) and account(s) to work but it’s all in vain. They neither try or want to help. I’ll never do business with/through then again. I also alerted the Better Business Bureau.

Great money saving app

The moment I loaded the app I started saving money on most of my purchases. Whenever I see someone waiting in line ready to dish out their hard earned money,I ask them if they have the app? If not, I tell them to load it to their phone so they can start saving like I already do. They are always so thankful and happy they ran into me. This not only makes their day but makes mine as well.

Must Have

This app is a definite must have. It has so many different stores and so many coupons that can actually be used! I’ve tried so many couponing apps that had fake coupons but this one is legit! It’s helped me to save so much money, while I’m waiting in line I’ll just search the name of the store I’m in and 9/10 times it’ll have a coupon that saves me some money!!

It’s worth the download

I have not tried the cash back option yet, but of all the apps out there, RMN is the absolute best. Sometimes you have to do a lot of trial and error, but it’s worth it to find the greatest discount on major purchases: for example, furniture. Even when you think you can outsmart the app and it can’t possibly have a discount on something, look it up anyway. I saved $80 on a local rental car. Thank you Retail me Not. I’m glad you didn’t abandon us xo

No RedPlum Coupons Yet???

Very disappointed that this company who has already merged with RedPlum still has not moved the grocery market sector (manufacturer coupons) to their app or website yet. How long can it possibly take? There are those of us who are environmentally conscious thus try to reduce the amount of paper waste and with your company only allowing consumers the option of availability to these manufacturer discounts via print inserts in a dying industry of the printed newspaper just states how much your company has no concern for our environment and a lacking knowledge of the growing digital market.

CASH BACK REWARDS ARE NICE TO EARN, but....

Sometimes the RMN system doesn’t attach itself to an offer, or it’s attached and you still don’t receive your cash back rewards. RMN, has helped me with some problems, but some are still, or can’t be resolved. I continue to patronize RMN because I like the site, but major improvements need to be made to maintain a relationship between its members, merchants and RMN, so all are getting cash back rewards and not just favorable for RMN and its operations. msgnws

Amazing

Retail me not is the number one app to help you save money. Unlike Ibotta, they give you win win situations by letting you know about coupons that will actually save you money. Ibotta only worries about getting a cut out of your purchase - they make you buy the smaller item size that makes you actually losing money on instead of just buying the bigger size to save you money. I LOVE RETAIL ME NOT!!!!!

Scam

This is a complete waste of time. Twice I’ve requested the money that I had saved up and twice I was scammed. I never got the money. Customer service doesn’t exist. I’m closing the account. After sending an email I got a response within an hour. It’s better to email then make the call. Thank you for the information.

An instant coupon

This is one of my favorite apps. I’ve saved so much money ever since Ive downloaded this app. It’s so convenient. Gone are the days of coupon cutting for retail stores. Don’t have a coupon? No problem. Simply check the search on Retail Me Not and WAM! I check with Retail Me Not a lot even ordering online. If you like to save money you would appreciate having this app.

Great Coupon and Cash Back

Retailmenot is a really great and easy to use app for coupons and cash back. I’ve received over $75 cash back over the last two years and find they have coupons that other places don’t. I think all the coupons I’ve found here work. Highly recommend.

Can’t redeeem rewards

I have been using retailmenot for many years and never had problems with it. However, when I tried to redeem my rewards lately either through venmo or Pay Pal, it keeps saying there’s an error. I couldn’t find the support page and when I did, the page is blank.

I love it!

I use this app all the time. It accurately tracks my shopping trips and credits me in timely manners! If I don’t see my purchases after 15 days, I can just contact them and upload my receipts and they will credit me right away. Talking about customer service! It has several retailers that I shop at regularly, so this is a great way to save money. Thanks retail me not for helping me save.😍😊

Great App!

I haven’t had a single issue with the app. They always offer amazing savings to a lot of the most popular places and then some. I also have been utilizing the cash back option now and getting money back. I’ve never really got into all the cash back apps etc but once I tried and used it I haven’t stopped! Highly recommend RetailMeNot!!

Good app, but inaccurate sometimes

This is a great app and I appreciate it. However, they should require companies to list locations that don’t accept coupons from the app. It confuses and inconveniences a customer shopping. It’s frustrating to search the app for a great coupon, but then when you get to the store they don’t accept it. Often times the store associates have bad attitudes in the event they don’t except the coupon. This is especially frustrating during the holidays.

Horrible customer service

Advertises rebates that they “know do not work”(that came from a rep). Then, they make you wait 16 days before they will offer to help you with any issues! Update: I did wait 19 days after purchase and was GUARANTEED twice that the purchase would appear and it did not. I spent over 2 hours with 3 different horrible customer service reps for them to tell me their system has been malfunctioning. 2nd update: This “company” has now changed their response to my comment after my first update when they said I needed to wait 15 days to now say I needed to wait 20 day. Extremely pathetic!

What has happened?

I feel like I used to do so well with my rewards on here but now I don’t ever seem to see them. I sign in to purchase through the app and then never see any cash back. It’s like a job having to come back and send my orders and info to get my money back and sorry to say, I just don’t have time for that because I can guarantee I already spent a BUNCH of time shopping to begin with and have more pressing things to do.

Cashback doesn’t always track

I love that the cashback on Retailmenot is very competitive compared to other cashback sites. Lately I’ve been having issues with them tracking my purchases and unable to give me cashback because they can’t find the activation links on their end and there’s no way for them to trace the purchases. Now I keep track of all my purchases on a spreadsheet and have to constantly put in cases for them to review.

Really poor costumer service support

I bought an e-card from them, and it’s not working. It says that there is no balance left when I tried to use the first time. I’ve tried to reach to them but no luck. They don’t pick up the phone and don’t answer my emails. Really disappointed, and never buying ecards from them again!!!

Real cash back rewards!!

I never thought that an app would actually give you cash back, always thought it was a hoax or that probably the amount would be too little. With retail me not I’ve gotten hundreds back and I’m so happy with them. I never buy anything without checking this app first. Love it!

Love this app, i'm a big shopper and I'm always looking for a great deal too! This app is so nice, my only wish is that more shops would offer coupons for the app, which I completely understand this app can only offer to put there deals on the app and can't force other companies to as well, just wished the other companies would get on board!

I love this app. It’s one of the few I’ve kept on my phone for years. I love having the ability to use it as I’m ready to shop for something specific and also when I’m checking out. Remembering to check the app is another thing lol. Also feel safe using them.

Amazing discounts!

Awesome! I love the Hobby Lobby discounts! I purchased a Happy Planner (normally $30+ by itself) and a booklet of stickers (normally $15+) as well as a packet of add-on pages, both rules and lines, (normally ~$10) for the planner ALL FOR ONLY $25! What a steal?! My total should’ve been upwards of $50, but I find things on clearance and used my 40% off coupon from RetailMeNot to get it all for half the price!

Nothing special anymore!

This used to be my favorite app, but now they don’t offer anything special that the store itself is not advertising when you walk in. So now the app is pretty much just a waste of space on my phone! I used to be able to get instore promotions for B&BW & other stores now I noticed they only offer online sales, that again are no different from what’s being advertised on the website. I think I’m going to be deleting the app because it’s pretty much useless, I don’t need another app to tell me what I already know is on sale. Very disappointed!
