Great app - with one small caveat!!!

I absolutely love this app! I’ve been animating my action figures, my coworkers’ head shots, my dogs, everything I can think of basically. It is a ton of fun. I just hope that at some point they add the ability to import our own audio files. While I can record anything I want through the mic, it can sound tinny and hollow if I’m trying to record something other than my voice. Being able to import my own audio files would make this app absolutely perfect!!!

It’s a fun

My co workers send me pictures all the time to do voice overs for whether it’s singing or memes. Loved the app at the beginning. Now with all the updates. It’s all meme sounds, where I was using mostly music sounds. The music they do have isn’t very much and it’s the “kid pop” version instead of just using the actual artist. Music is limited, even when you search they don’t have much and it doesn’t allow you to add songs if you’re looking for a particular song for the picture you use. It is a fun app but with the updates it’s not as fun as when I started using it Update: This app really took a nose dive. Still doesn’t use any original songs by artist. Your favorite sounds aren’t even able to be used. Still limited on sound choices. It’s not even fun to use anymore.

Too many ads

I love this app it is hilarious and fun and everyone enjoys it but, after one or two pictures you have a long ad then every time I choose a face it asked me if I want to get pro which I think I would if it gave more information about what it does how better it is and if there’s ads every other animation. And then it only let you do 2 and it won’t let me do anymore! Otherwise I absolutely love it give it four stars just because of the ads and the constant asking if I want to join pro. Which like I said I would if it gave a little bit more information about it. Yeah I even tried to search for Revive Pro in the App Store and could not find it.

Don’t download unless you want to pay to play

So I downloaded this app because I got a really good picture of my cat right so I got to do the picture animation and I thought this app wasn’t a scam but OH BOY WAS I WRONG when I had to PAY JUST TO SEE WHAT THE ANIMATION LOOKED LIKE and you have to pay 7.99$ JUST TO USE THE CARTOON POSTER JUST FOR THE POSTER i personally think that is ridiculous because this app seemed like it wasn’t a scam but no it’s not and you have to PAY FOR ALMOST EVERYTHING want to do the song animation? PAY want to do the cartoon poster? PAY want do look at what other people did for the song animation nope can’t do that either gotta pay so I don’t recommend this app at all because you have to pay for every little thing in this app the only good thing is that I haven’t gotten any adds so don’t download this app unless you want to pay to play!

Revive is terrible

Genuinely curious? Did you make the app terrible on purpose I get I pop up for premium every time I open the app that sits there for 30 seconds and there’s no X!!?!? sometimes it doesn’t show up at all and I have to close out the app reopen it and wait again? you give options for songs featuring two people that we can use for free but then when I put two people into a picture, you put animating both faces behind a pay wall.!?? Terrible idea awful execution bad throughout the whole process start to finish I’m gonna teach myself coding and do everything you can do for FREE which it should be considering you show an add every single time I fo anything at all I play a song to see how it sounds and get an add? Jesus use mimic instead

Gah it’s so spammy

When you start, they want you to pay $39 before you even try. It takes a lot of patience to tell them no and use the “free trial”. I succeeded in doing it once and they give you a watermarked file. That’s okay. The lip sync was “okay” so I wanted to try another file. Then I tried again and anything I pressed it kept showing me full screen commercials to download other apps and no matter what I pressed or how long I waited, that’s all you get. You can’t get past commercials to use the app after the first go. If you reload, it now requests you pay $45 for it. Since I can’t figure out if the paid version has the watermark or allows you to upload your own files or test quality of the lip sync beyond the first one, it got deleted.

Must Have!!

I am not the type of person who usually leaves reviews but I must say this app is a must. My family members and I have found ourselves laughing and crying at the same time while watching these. You can create new memories from old pictures which has brought much joy to my life. I have shared this app with friends and family, many who have decided to purchase it themselves. This app is well worth the money in my opinion. Thank you Revive! I look forward to many more memories.

DISAPPOINTED

I purchased this app because I loved to choose a picture and make the person sing a song. The selection of songs was very cool. The animation for the pictures looked very natural like the person was actually singing the song. Loved it. Now I see my app was updated, no more songs at all. Not fun. The app is completely different. I don’t mind making a picture say a fun phrase here or there, but now this is the main feature. I don’t really used it before and doubt I will use this app at all. Very disappointed the app changed completely and now it’s pretty much useless to me because I purchased to animate pictures to sing songs, not to say dumb phrases.

Best of breed

I am a cartoonist and if you make caricatures and want to animate them singing, this is for you. They constantly add new music and memes. The synchronized and animation is right on the money. Occasionally it glitches, but not often. It can be a bit unpredictable at times; for instance, select a song and an drawn image and it works. Select a different song, same image, and it sometimes says no faces found. Overall this is very clever and well done. On my wish list is recognizing animals and animating them.

It’s so funny!

OMG I love so funny when I first got it I felt it off my friend and I just started going crazy with it it was funny and I’m glad that it doesn’t push you to pay so it’s a free app and it’s nice because a lot of these type of apps are where you have to pay and that’s not very fun because no one likes the pet lol. And I also like this app because it has very funny memes on it, and I like it because it has funny songs that I have heard and there’s not one thing that I don’t like about it. Thank you revive!

Good app but I need a little help

All the songs are awesome I like to make memes about them using funny images, but an issue I have with them is the songs. Like take for instance, the old songs they don’t exist anymore like for example deathbed, let’s play football and shock. The monkey don’t exist anymore. This app is awesome but please bring the word songs back? And please don’t make where you want to select the face for the image to sing adding faces micro transactions. It’s really hard, and I think cloning 5 to 4 faces will be useful to make this happen much better.

Superior animation for dolls and characters.

I’m a Community Manager that makes a lot of content for high end holiday decor brands. We have a talking elf as our mascot. Most of these apps distort or simply can’t pick up their faces at all. This one can’t detect them all but when it does it does a fabulous job! It’s not blurry and distorted like others. It does need work. I’d love to see a few more features but overall compared to the many others I’ve tried 5 stars. Our members love the content! Thank you!

Fun…if it works

Someone had told me about the app so I downloaded it this morning and was having a blast. Went to show my family once I got home, purchased the week membership to support and now anytime I open the app it’s stuck on a loading screen. I’ve redownloaded the app, I’ve restarted my phone, I’ve turned my Wi-Fi and network off then turned it back on and nothing will get the app off the loading screen. If I leave the app from the loading screen and come back it says I’m not connected to the internet. Would love to support the app further but if I can’t access it for longer than 6 hours especially after paying for the membership then I recommend staying away from it!

Is this a joke!?

This app looks like it would be an absolute dream – so much freaking fun to use. Until you download it. Every time the screen changes there is a new charge popping up. Every. Single. Time. 😤 Apparently, even with the trial run you can accomplish virtually nothing within the app until you start paying. The funny thing is that, to date – I’ve not seen the app actually DO anything! (not kidding)! Well, except offer to create a stack of 48 different, recognizable cartoon representations of me. (still waiting to see ANYTHING produced - other than the two charges that I received for the same non- service. ) I still have not seen the app actually do anything. I’m flabbergasted. What a joke.

More fun than you can imagine!

This app is more fun than it should be. I spent all morning going through an animating photos and just cracking myself up. I sent the Animated photos to all of my family and now I have moved from last place and popularity to number one overall!!!🤣 I almost don't want to tell people how to do it because I like being the one making everyone laugh and I'm not sure I want to share🤪

Takes many attempts to get it right, keeps asking for money

It is fun but you cannot even try it without paying, so I went with the one week paid plan. First bad experience was that Avatars are a separate payment. Really?! Then the templates available are OK probably for teens but for the rest of us I couldn’t find a lot that I felt related to. When I did find things I wanted to use they took several attempts, sometimes the animations would look out of place or result in abominations. When animating more than one person or pet, there’s no choice of who plays what part and so it’s always a gamble. The facial animations also look very repetitive across templates so I found it rather expensive for the features offered. I did not renew my subscription. Feels like the effort that goes into getting one single animation right is too much, and it gets old quickly due to the OK quality.

Could be better

Animations are pretty solid but does have some trouble detaching long hair from the subject and moves head area only. Most animations/audio are male…need more balance. User interface is pretty bad. Not intuitive to start a new animation. App worked great a couple weeks ago now won’t do anything as it states bad internet connection and won’t open. I have a high speed connection and all other apps work. Paid for full license and now it doesn’t work. Update: Reinstalled the app and it works now. Looking forward to future improvements!

Not user friendly or as advertised.

There should be no extra charges for avatars or any other features. When purchasing a package, all services should be included without additional costs for optional features. Extra fees should only apply to users of the free version of the app. Additionally, finding the advertised features can be quite challenging, such as adding a song to my profile picture. When I uploaded a photo of my pet and attempted to adjust the eyes and mouth, the result was unrealistic, as only half of his face responded, resulting in a distorted appearance. Furthermore, I prefer not to use my voice for recordings, yet it seems I cannot access the app's functionalities without granting permission for photo access and voice commands. In conclusion, it’s disappointing that this app is misleading and does not readily provide the features it promotes. After spending 30 minutes navigating it, I was unable to locate the functionality I was initially excited about, which was highlighted in the app's marketing.

Worst App of this type I have tried

This App should not even be up here. It’s not perfected to the point that people should be paying to use it. It’s a money grab. What they even show you when you first download the app it doesn’t even offer that. It’s simple avatar and voice over supposedly synched to your picture except your picture looks more like you’re eating food with a voice being spoken over it. And the mouths don’t even lineup. I don’t know what they’ve done. It’s so bad and it’s almost impossible to get your money back try it good luck I mean don’t try the app. Please let me save you from that just if you have, good luck getting your money back.

Quick and Fun!

Wow! It has been a long time since I bought an app for five bucks and figured out that it was gonna be a cool thing that I was going to use very often. This app converts regular pictures into animated and audio tracks that are just amazing. The selection is fantastic and it meets anybody’s music needs throughput history. I highly recommend this app as it will bring joy to your family and chuckles to yourself for years to come.

Good Fun!

Fun to play with selecting songs to match with my photos, but your family might think you’ve off-the-deep-end if you don’t moderate the effort. Upgraded my review because of observed improvement in song choices near daily. Quick to compile (animate) your photo to selected song snippet. Easy to use. Some morph the facial features and teeth in disturbing ways, so play with various photos to find best match that doesn’t look too weird.

Lip-sync is misleading.

So, it feels misleading, Making people think you can use it as a free user as there is nothing too show that its premium only. There is even a button saying “try it now!” But when you use it, pick your image, record the audio, wait for loading, It asks you too buy premium. Nothing says Lip-sync is premium not even a crown on it or just a little text that says “PRO,” Its also one of the first things you see when you open the app, just.. make a thing that shows its a premium feature, or just make it free, thats my take on the this, its just annoying.

Bait and Switch

This app USED to be amazing! I splurged and bought the pro version. Slowly, they took away feature after feature and made this app so much less fun. How it’s changed… 1. There used to be a lot of great songs you could use to animate faces. They are gone and replaced with covers. 2. There used to be some great trios and quartets, but those are gone. These made the app unique. 3. You used to be able to animate up to 30 faces. Now, you can only animate 8. (Why they did this doesn’t make any sense to me!) 4. Face finding isn’t as good. This app used to be able to identify way more faces. It could detect obscure and small faces. There’s a general trend for apps to get better instead of worse, but this app has done the opposite. I wouldn’t be as upset if I hadn’t paid for the pro version. **I still like this app, but I definitely don’t use it much anymore due to the changes.

Probably the best app of all time

I was feeling very sad but then this app came and saved the day. This app has an easy to use interface and the pro option is not expensive at all. The movement of the faces also does not look that unnatural and moves the way that the actual head would. This app also has sounds ready to use and you are able to make faces sing songs very fast.

this app has changed my life. i have never found a more monumentally riveting app as this one. i have found my purpose in life through this app. i can now manipulate everyone around me by showing them these fake videos. i am now a master of blackmail. i get what i want because they are afraid of me releasing the videos of them singing. what they do not know is that this is all fake… all a LIE, thanks to this app. 5/5 stars. Cannot cancel

I paid for this app yesterday. Decided to cancel within 30 minutes. It’s still not showing up in active subscriptions on my Apple subscriptions so I cannot cancel from that end. I emailed Revive. They tell me I must cancel through Apple subscriptions and I’d it’s not showing up then I’m using the free version. That’s not true. It’s not showing up but my credit card has been hit. I cannot believe there are this many good reviews. The app is cumbersome and glitchy and apparently they’ve created a loop whereby you cannot seem to cancel. I guess I’ll have to put a stop on the payment. I don’t know how else to accomplish cancellation.

I had a lot of videos for my Revive and make them and I’ve had this app for a year and never had any problems with it until last week last week I want to get on my way I had and when you go to update your phone delete everything but luckily I had everything saved in my photos but if I wanted to have anything saved in my photos and it wouldn’t waste everything and it is crap

Really good

It’s a really fun app and stuff but there is one thing I am mad about, lip sync. It started to work with me but then it stopped and said to purchase revive pro. This is stupid. I wish I was just able to use it without having to purchase anything. I get it that you get money that way, but don’t you get money from ads? So please devs, if your reading this then please do whatever you can to remove revive pro, or at least for lip sync. Other than that, the app is good.

Makes me smile & brings my dads photos to life

My dad passed away last year and I love how this app brought the photos of my dad to life. I used his favorite song to sing on karaoke for the photo and just seeing the animation makes me smile and reminds me of the times he sang to me when he was still alive🥹❤️ Thank you so much to the creators of this app!!! It definitely warmed my heart during this cold winter season❤️

Not worth the ads.

The app works well, but the company practices are very deceiving. In free mode, there’s a watermark on everything you produce, and you have to watch a bunch of terrible ads for games that you cannot exit out of until you waste a minute of your life each time. I went ahead and spent the five dollars for the app, not realizing that was only for one week, so after five dollars, I’m right back to the free version of garbage. Don’t waste your time with this junk, these companies force feed advertising down your throat and it makes any products that they produce that would be good, totally not worth it. I want my $5 back.

Beware of charges

While I like the app as a gimmick, I subscribed on a weekly basis to have fun. I cancelled after a week, and it was still charging. I checked to ensure I had unsubscribed, and I was. I figured I had missed the window to cancel, and accepted the charge. The next week, I was charged again. I tried to solve it on the phone by text support, and couldn’t. I had to call Apple support to get the charge reversed. The confirmed I had canceled and couldn’t explain the charge. So, beware that you might get stuck paying a subscription you cancel. Otherwise, it’s a fun and entertaining app.

Just horrible. Ads ads ads & forced to pay.

Firstly there’s nonstop ads you’re forced to watch and they’re of those ridiculous annoying games like bubble pop & story things or whatever. Secondly the face placement doesn’t event work. I tried multiple times with a straight on picture of my cat… and it was way off center when I got it over the eye and mouth… and lastly… after a few attempts, it’s forcing me to pay $40 alone time or $3 a week and I can’t use it anymore. Every time I open the app it’s forcing me to pay. It goes straight to the page to pick a payment plan and I can’t do anything else.

Great Entrepreneurship

As a developer, I can say they have done a great job. The amount of time and thought put toward this app is tremendous. I love the lifetime fee, but I would add an annual fee to attract more people and generate recurring revenue from people. The price point removes many people at $40 as people won’t spend it on a novelty item. I would suggest a $20/25 annual and lifetime option. People don’t like a weekly fee, always a monthly or annual it’s a mental thing. Nothing is perfect, but the people commenting with lower stars have no idea what it takes to develop this app. Great job! I love the hours of enjoyment my family is getting from it. I cannot wait to see the future upgrades. Keep up the good work!

App needs improvements

Love the app been having a blast with it. Only rated 3 stars because there are too many ads. most of the time I will click on a picture that’s clear as day and you can see the face and it will say face not found but I can click on a pic that is blurry and one of the faces are cut out of the picture and it will accept it. Sometimes when I pick a song and pick a picture it takes forever for it to load the video.

Revive review

This is got to be my favorite app. It is so clever. My sisters all got together at the farm and with the time that they had they used it as an antique, porcelain doll and the revive app brought the doll to life. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched the clip and how many times I have sent it to other people. I’ve already downloaded it to my phone. It’s that good- excellent job.

Wonderful Service

I love this app and it deserves 5 stars. However, I wish I could add lots more stars. Through no fault of the app, I encountered some technical difficulties and I am definitely not in any way techie-minded. To my pleasant surprise I received prompt responses to my questions and was patiently guided to correct the matter. In this day and age it is rare to encounter such gracious and kind treatment. Kudos!

Great potential, but…

So I started enjoying the free app, and was creating a few fun animations while contemplating purchasing the ‘pro’ version. But the free app would not let me go beyond 4 (free) animations without the ‘pro’ screen popping-up, and I could not get passed it! My finger hovered over the purchase button in the hope to release and continue, but common sense prevailed with my thought process being that if you are ‘tricked’ into the free app just to get the pro version, what does it say about the developers! Maybe I would have given 5-stars had I ‘gone’ pro, but who knows!

Lost all of my Saved Videos

How frustrating! The app is great. I’ve had it around 10 days and have saved around 40 voice overs to some great photos and movie posters. Today this Revive app lost ALL of my saved files! They were there yesterday and now are gone. I can find them in my photos app on my iPad but they are all larger and not as clear as they were on the Revive app. Just know that this can happen and make sure you have some type of backup.

Still No Songs?

I’ve been monitoring this app, waiting for the developers to bring back the full library of songs that they deleted. It’s been over a year now and still no songs, except for children’s songs and useless phrases. I understand that they’re working on IP issues. But I keep saying “covers” are okay as long as we’re not stuck on children’s songs and stupid phrases. They keep saying that they’ll expand their library of songs, but WHEN??? Not fun to wait forever. One star for now until I see them being back all the songs.

Freeze

This app has changed so much. There used to be songs you could sync which no longer exist but the worst thing is that every time I open the app it freezes or takes forever to sample a sound. I am constantly having to close down the app and rebooting it. I know I am going to get a pat answer from tech support. UPDATE: I deleted the app and restored it. Still crashes all the time and takes forever to load up. As soon as I give it any type of command it stops working. I’m on an iPad, might work for people on computers but it sucked for me.

Great site lots of fun!

If you want a few hours of really good fun this is a great site to download. I had my friends cracking up so hard they could hardly stand it it was the best laugh we’ve had since Covid started. The only thing wrong with it is the songs are too short and there’s not enough women singers otherwise it can’t be beat!

What a hoot!

This app is easy to use. It will bring a smile to your face and in some cases will generate a good old fashioned belly laugh. It is easy to use, just grab a song, select a photo with one or more faces and it will generate an animated video for up to 4 faces in the photo. Download the video to share with friends and family. I especially love it when the song has different singing parts done by different faces in the photo. It can also identify faces in paintings and pets. It does a better job finding pet faces when there are no human faces in the picture. I look forward to new features as this app progresses. Support is very responsive and new tunes are added frequently to the app. Thanks for the endless entertainment.

Hit and Miss…but laugh out loud funny and fun

Not perfect on matching lips or certain smiley photos, but it’s definitely fun to hunt through old photos of yourself, friends, family, pets, etc and then find a fun song. 5 stars for making me laugh out loud and giving friends and family something to play around with during the holidays.

Terrible customer service and a scam

Hello I left a review a few days ago after being denied a refund (that I was charged for- after I requested they cancel the charge!). The app barely does half of what it says it does and even then all it’s good for is stupid songs that are worn out and boring. They send an auto reply email and take your $40 even if you explain you meant to click the $10 option; they’ll especially take your money after you realize the app is a scam! I didn’t even save the test video it was so disappointing. You can’t see all the features without paying so I went to buy the weekly it signed me up for lifetime- then when i was in it was nothing like it says it is. Wanna try it for a week? Spend the $10 but be careful because they’ll charge you $40, it won’t work and they’ll ignore your reviews/emails, all while denying the refund

Fun apps with some flaws

This app is brilliant and could easily be a top 5 app. Had loads of fun using with the family. However, I think a few changes would make it 5 star. First, price to purchase is ridiculous. Secondly, way too many ads. Lastly, better song selection. If those could be fixed somehow this app would be one of the best in the store.

Hilarious app! Ridiculous cost though. $20 a month is super steep, especially if you only use it a few times a month. If you could upload your own music, it might be worth a little more a month, otherwise its good for a quick laugh. Not to mention there are a ridicluous amount of ads, and that costs money to remove as well. And the watermark costs money to remove, so hopefully that $20 covers both of those. .……………………!.!.!.!.!.!.!. Z z z z

Works well on certain pictures

This app is pretty fun, although it works better on some pictures than others. Not everything will look as good as the ad says it will. Music selection is pretty limited, but the Lip Sync feature allows you to post any audio you want, and it works pretty well. It’s fun way to spice up chat threads, etc

You should be ashamed

Funny how all the demos for this appThat show even dogs looking as though they’re singing a song are so properly animated but when you actually download the app and try to put your pictures on it even if you put the best pictureWhere your dog is straight on and mouth is open soIt can locate the face it never does it doesn’t look realistic at all and it looks nothing like the demos that it shows. It’s a waste of money and a rip off And the creator should be ashamed of themselves for putting out such a sloppy mess of a nap. Needs lots of work
