My child fell into the ocean when I was on the ferry and when that happened the captain fearlessly jumped into the ocean to protect my child from the sea lions that thought he was food. I thank San Francisco Bay ferry for saving my child and I will always use this ferry to travel to San Francisco. Thank you Captain Harold Guzman for saving my child I am forever in your debt.
I have enjoyed the ferry very much. I live pretty close to it used to go to work back-and-forth an excellent way to travel and I love the app that gives you the schedule and time it’s fantastic thank you very much Francesca Mathis.
I love that I’m able to buy my tickets straight from my phone and get them scanned. It’s great not to have to fish through my purse or email for tickets and just go straight into the app
My family and I always enjoy the ferry ride. We find it relaxing and no stress at all compared to driving on the freeway and Bay bridge. Ferry is clean and we don’t worry for our safety not like the BART.
The app has no use, since WETA doesn’t provide alerts really ever. The email/text alert system also does not work. So when a boat is late you have no idea when the it might be coming. It’s a great service, but customer service like this has gotten worse and worse.
If you buy a ticket on website, it forces you to download this app. Fine. Another pointless app on my phone. You go to load the ticket and it never loads. I ended up having to buy my ticket twice (once online, then again in person) because this stupid app doesn’t work.
Lived here my whole life. Bart, MUNI, AC transit all great. Nothing beats a ferry. Now with the app traveling for commute or pleasure is easy and reasonably priced. All the schedules, fares, and ports right in my hand. Love it.
The least intuitive, most useful app, you have to waste lots of time writing where u r and where and when u need to go, all leading to a brilliant N/A screen ))))
The SF Ferry folks said my tickets would transfer over - nope. Then the app wouldn’t let me activate tickets, this week, after the upgrade for “bug fixes” it wouldn’t let me activate once again. Thankfully the Ferry staff know me, but still it used up 2 tickets when I tried to activate one so far I am down 2 tickets that didn’t transfer and 3 more that were “disappeared” trying to activate. Will I lose my house over $22.50, no but it is still aggravating.
Bought tickets while on the ride, activated, went to show the QR code and the app showed I didn’t have tickets. Pretty embarrassing when the ticket collected berated me for accusing me of not knowing how to use the app
I downloaded the app after sister told me to for our trip. My screen and her screen after buying tickets were different. My screen had just the words indicating I have an adult ticket and activate when I’m ready to use it. My sister got a QR code with time and ticket confirmation. Slightly worried as we’re not sure if we got the tickets or not on my phone basing from other reviews.
