Portsmouth Herald appears disconnected from its constituency.

• Yesterday, Wednesday, March 3rd there was a fire in the Hanover Street parking garage. Expected a full lead story of the damage, cause and future impact…nothing. • SeaCoast Online repeats stories and editorials for days on end. In some cases they will run the same story for almost a week. For me, it is incredibly hard to clearly identify the new stories. • If you want to report a story, it is virtually impossible to reach anyone. SeaCoast Online does not provide a telephone number or e-mail address that I can find. Maybe the print edition I don’t get provides this information. • If you need help, the e-mail address is a black hole. Calling the provided helpline gets you a person in Afghanistan, Pakistan ro India where the King’s English is their second language. They are totally useless. • Actually went to their facility at Pease which is only a printing facility. They laughed when I asked for a office telephone number, volunteered no would answer. Newspapers are key to a democracy and are threatened by numerous internal and external factors. Wish I knew how to help…

Great Paper!

A source for all of the news, but crucially it’s the best source for news from the New Hampshire and southern Maine sea coast. I spend most of my year remote from that area, but love being able to stay in touch.

Ads shift and move article text

I understand the need for ads, but it is ridiculous that they move around or change in size so that the article text moves up and down as you’re reading. This is basic web design. Fix it.

I subscribe to the paper but for some reason can’t see it online when I am out of the country. I don’t know why and have sent emails to seacoast online but to no avail. I can see my New York Times with no problem

Poor Customers Service

Can never get a call back from Customer Service. I was over charged. I sent Three emails and got a response they needed additional information. I emailed information and did follow up email. No response. What a joke. Dennis K

Not easy to navigate

Can never find a phone # to call for a missed print delivery. It a very reliable app and not easy to navigate

Worst changes ever!

The prior version wasn't great but the update is awful. First, where is my account dashboard? MIA. Why do letters to the editor appear in the news section and on front page? News and opinion are very different. Overall UU is very unfriendly. Wish they would go back!

This is not a good site. Same news every day over and over again. Clearly not worth the money if you expecting similar news that is in the Portsmouth newspapers

Total piece of junk

Repeats articles, won’t let me login in, almost so bad I’ll just cancel my subscription, but I like to read the local news. You’d think USA Today, who is behind this, could do a better job.

I pay, why the ads?

I’m on a free trial for $1 for six months. After that it’s $6.50 a month. I do not expect ads in my face when I pay - sorry - I will be cancelling. Please change your format and I will stay.

Seacoastonline app failure

Hello I’ve called tech support twice to no avail. I’m a subscriber to the Hampton paper The app tells me I only have 5 or less articles left and to sign up for a online subscription I have removed the app from my phone and reinstalled it at least twice Please fix this as it is not working and is quite annoying Thanks

Good, not great

Really nice graphics and layout but would be nice to have a button for regional news like the mobile site. Also, please honor the people in the obituary section and figure out how to show their full photo, not a cut off version!

Cluttered

Visually cluttered and low content value. Seems like portsmouth should have better! The app is cookie cutter and crashes constantly on iOS

Much much better than old app

The old app, some combination of a crummy app and mobile web page, was unusable imo. This is much, much better. Easy to navigate and easy to read. I'm a print subscriber so I have full access and use it every day.

Extremely user-unfriendly

The news articles are good, but there’s no way to know what is the most recent—all the stories for days past show up in the same area as new content with no break to indicate you are now reading a story that is days old. Very hard to navigate the site, TOC is basically non-existent. Don’t like it at all and if I have time I go to the website instead. Clearly the worst layout of any online news app I’ve seen.

Great Local News Source

I used to use this app every day to see what's happening locally in the news, but now they only allow 10 free articles a month?!? And it isn't ad free?!? Goodbye Seacoast Media App!!!

This online paper is the best informative newspaper in the Seacoast. I would rather read the online than the paper copy! Highly recommend using the App!

Terrible app

This app does not work well. As you scroll down reading the headlines, it randomly just jumps around and pushes you forward about 10 articles. Very frustrating, and seems like they could fix it easily but it’s always been this way.

Broke it with your update

Just like you’ve broken the Foster’s app for iphone10, this last update for SOL had now caused the sand issues. Site constantly freezes and no ability to scroll. Both sites are now broken for any of us with the 10/x models....

Not much content

Doesn't contain much more on a weekly basis than the the free Post. Used to have way more news. Can do better I hope.

Used to read this everyday, now limiting to 10 stories per month unless I buy the subscription. Too bad. Now the app is useless. ☹️☹️☹️
