Please offer an ad-free subscription

I very much enjoy the concept of Sensical and it has proved to be quite educational for my child. He loves the different videos that are available. One thing I enjoyed about the service for the longest time was that it didn’t have any third-party advertisements. Any ad breaks there were only served to promote other shows that were available on the Sensical service. I had no problem with that. Recently I’ve noticed there are now advertisements for Barbie products and Toyota vehicles (aka third-party advertisements). I would very much like a paid option for Sensical to remove this type of content.

Cursing and there needs to be a search bar.

So, I’m 9 right now. And I just want to say that there has been some cursing in the “Learn these TikTok dances” because in the songs there were cursing in “The Box” song. So that’s why I rate it a 4. Also everybody has been saying it and I agree. There should be a search bar! Also you really need to upgrade the Leah Ashe channel. Because it’s only showing her old vids, and I need the channel “iamSanna”. So yeah, pls add a search bar and remove the video “Learn these TikTok dances” and add a search ball and pls add “iamSanna” channel. So I would recommend this app, but I would warn them about a certain video.

Great, but no search bar

This app is great!! Very intuitive and easy to use. Safe and educational content tailored for all ages. It’s almost perfect! Just missing a search bar.

Sensical is amazing!!!!

Sensical is a great app for kids and all the videos are kid safe, and I would say it’s an amazing app!! Especially that it has great videos to watch they have games arts & crafts, AND many, many different videos to choose from. Plus it is very easy to use and watch. But the best part is it’s free so you can watch, enjoy and be entertained without having to pay a single dollar. This app is great so download it for amazing content and enjoy it. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

Really liked this for awhile…

Use this for my almost three year old and thought it was a safe app, but when watching the show “Maya the Bee” realized they left an unedited episode with an inappropriate drawing. Netflix removed this temporarily in 2017, so it isn’t news. I thought this app was supposed to be safe, but if it can’t even filter things that have already been controversial and removed, I can’t trust it. We only even started watching Maya the Bee because it was advertised constantly when we were watching Kipper… It’s a shame they didn’t catch that and remove that episode.

Exciting App For Children

I was so excited to download this for my 2 year old daughter. What better time to try it out than on a long road trip! It was so easy for her to flip through videos and choose what she wanted to watch. I like that the videos are educational and I don’t feel nervous about what she might “accidentally” click on. Thank you for a great app!

Decent so far

The app is decent so far, I really dislike that it says hide content which is a lie . My daughter has autism and it only blocks her from watching but doesn’t hide it like stated . This is a huge trigger because she doesn’t understand why she can see the video but can’t watch it . Really wish the hide content meant it actually hid it and it doesn’t show on the screen AT ALL .

Keeps crashing

I got the app for my kids because I was so relieved to have an app I could trust my kids to watch videos on, however it crashes every single time my kids click on their profile. I would give this five stars but the crashing is really irritating. They can't even use it and I've tried almost everything to fix it

A must for any parent!!

What a great app! It’s interface is smooth, it’s content is top notch and is all perfect for young children and there’s no worry of them seeing anything they shouldn’t! Tons of categories of videos and shows and enough to keep them distracted or learning for hours.

Profiles will not load

I have never heard of Sensical, but am trying to be more proactive on shielding my kids from certain shows/movies/content. I stumbled upon this yesterday and immediately downloaded the app. My kids aren’t home, so I was trying to get the lay of the land and check out what is available on each of their profiles, BUT every time I click through n the icon for their profile, I get kicked off. Please help!

This app WAS great

Whatever update just took place please undo it or fix the bugs. My kids love this app we used it every night and stream the live channel from our smart TV regularly but now they are unable to get the shows the enjoy. Thomas is no longer listed and I can’t get anything to steam now since the app updated. Help!!!!! We loved this app up until now!

Expectations

Thanks for the app! Though I was expecting not only a video streaming service from commonsense media but also a platform for tv shows and movies for kids which’ll categorize like your website and link them to the other available streaming services.

Great content

So reassuring to know that all content has been reviewed and approved- my kid is enjoying it and I feel like it’s productive, learning-filled screen time. More fun / less parent guilt

So glad I came across this app. We limit screen time as much as possible but there are limits to the limits.

Great App

Lots of great kids content up here. Interface is easy to use, and the live TV feature is cool. Additional live channels in the future would be nice.

Hidden videos behind education episodes

People talking about being queer while my 6 year old watched a video on the USA Capitals. How does that even happen? I loved this app but now they’re hiding stuff like this behind educational videos. So disappointed.

Keeps crashing

I was really looking forward for an app to let my kid watch shows but I signed up and it keeps crashing when I want to get in.

Love it but needs a timer

Love this app, and the curated videos. My only complaint is that there isn’t a timer to turn off the video after a certain amount of time. Yes, you can set a daily limit, but I don’t necessarily want my kid watching all of her slotted time at once. It would be nice to have a separate timer that turns off the video like YouTube Kids, which I’m trying to replace. Other than that, love it!

I love it but……

I love it Take it for me a kid who watches it! The problem is there is no search bar, but it’s really cool cause there’s live TV it has a kid and you cannot all the videos are picked out by people not like when YouTube kids pick out my AI I would say it’s pretty safe pretty good but it needs a search bar!💕💕💕

Kid tested, parent approved (and relieved!)

I am THRILLED to have this app for my kids! As parent, I certainly experienced the YouTube struggle with my kids - knowing that there is fun stuff on it and also knowing that there is SO much “fun” stuff that isn’t appropriate or worse. Sensical goes a long way to alleviate that struggle. My daughter loves it and I can relax a bit more when she is on the app. And when she wants me to see a video she found or when we watch together, I honestly enjoy some of the content. It’s cute or silly or cool (and decidedly NOT horrifying!). Thanks to the team who created this terrific app!!
