I am going on a trip to silver dollar city with my choir in a few days, and I like to be prepared. So, I downloaded this app in hope that it will help me plan my day, and I was not disappointed! You can easily scroll through tons of fun rides, attractions, and other activities. You can also look at the schedules and see when live music and shows will take place. And if you really don’t want to miss a certain show, you can set an alert, and you will get a notification 30 minutes before it starts. I have also been taking a look at the digital map on this app, and it seems very useful. It will be so much better than carrying around a huge map that can easily get lost or torn. Overall, this app is very useful, and I would recommend downloading it if you are planning a silver dollar city adventure in your future!
My husband and I started coming to Silver Dollar City in the 90s and enjoyed it very much. We mostly bought season passes each year and would come every chance we got. We liked the family atmosphere there and the patriotic atmosphere also. Branson was a safe place to take your family and hasn’t changed in all the time we have been going. My husband passed away 3 years ago but I still try to go there when I can. This year I came with friends who had never been there and they enjoyed it very much and want to go back. I also went with some of my family that had never been. We are looking forward to coming for the Christmas which is one of my favorite times. I would recommend it to anyone as a good family place to come. Vicki Hill
Great, but please change accessibility to a toggle
Your app is fantastic. The wait times were useful and mostly accurate. The directions were great and made the park easier to navigate. I love the accessibility green or red feature but it would be so nice to be able to turn this on or off like so many other features. When it is always on it makes it challenging to see the attractions when I am using the map to navigate. It is a great feature, but would be helpful to have the ability to toggle that off as well.
We went to Blue grass & BBQ And we were NOT impressed at all with the choices of the Blue Grass bands/shows, you should have BlueGrass performers in the street even. and we were definitely NOT Impressed with the choices of BBQ places to eat at. We are originally from the Kansas City area and We are used to several choices of places to eat BBQ. We have eaten at Rivertown Smokehouse last year and was not impressed with the BBQ brisket, the pulled pork was just okay. We understand there used to be a place (don’t know the name ) where you could go to different vendors and get your choice of BBQ, but I guess SDC does NOT have that anymore. If you’re going to have BLUEGRASS & BBQ, Make it a good variety! Don’t know if we will spend the money for season passes anymore if this is the best SDC Can offer!!
The app is nice but has some issues. The height requirements aren’t right - a lot of rides say “48 inch height requirement” but a smaller kid just has to ride with a parent. Wait times are not always up to date. You can’t filter trail markers (ie, wheelchair vs non wheelchair routes) so those icons clutter up the map and you can’t see the paths through the central areas. Pay to play carnival games have the same icon as rides. Pluses: “get directions” works really well. App was handy to tell which rides were closed for weather. Glad they added a search. Id love a better ride filter, since I’ve never been to SDC before it’d be cool for it to quickly show me the rides my (45” tall) six year old will love.
My family and I visit the park often. Absolutely appreciate this app and the upgrades you’re doing. Keep them coming. The only difference I can think that would help would be more cell access in the park and charging stations for our phones so we can use this app for the full hours the park is open. This beats using a paper map for sure and the current upgrades just added are great for those with gluten allergies and telling us what times the shows start etc. Keep up the good work.
The app is so nice for knowing the schedule of the park and it is nice potentially knowing how long the wait is for the rides but they’re also not always accurate. I think especially on busy days. It also has a cool feature where you can get directions to rides, restaurants, shops, bathrooms. That helped me a lot this summer with finding the nursing rooms when I was breastfeeding! I would definitely recommend the app to anyone!
Unorganized and extreme long lines - like three hours and app times are not accurate so you think you are going to wait 20 minutes and you wait two hours. They cater to their “trailblazers” which cost extra but they don’t tell you they may be sold out. We were planning to buy them and told to get them inside after purchasing general admission tickets. But when we got inside they were sold out. We’ve been to a lot of amusement parks (including this one in the past) but I think we are giving up after going on two rides in four hours - not counting the 1.5 hours just to drive the final two miles to the park. Recommend skipping this.
So I use this when I check if some rides are open, or closed, and how long is the wait for the lines. It’s helpful for me, because, I don’t want to walk across the park just to see that the line is huge when I can check and continue on with what I’m doing. I also use for directions, obviously, and sometimes they glitch, which is the only problem with it and that deducts a star (more like half of one) Over all, this app is really useful. I use it every-time I go.
Silver dollar city is my favorite park. But if you can’t find your way around and don’t know where the food you want is download the silver dollar city app it is SUPER helpful to get around to rides food and MORE you can make a list of the things you wanna do you can add that ride to the list and u can check it off when your done!! and you can see the wait time on the attraction!
This app is useful but the wait times are all over the place. The “get directions”is good to help navigate, but if you are trying to plan by using wait times you will be disappointed and frustrated. It’s better to leave it off the app if it’s not accurate. When the app tells you no wait time or the ride is just “open” you may arrive to a hour long wait or longer. A lot of guest see the same low wait time on the app and get bad information and go to the same attraction causing more congestion.
I have been visiting and returning to Silver Dollar City since I was a kid. Now I take my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren! Our family has watched it evolve from a train ride and shoot out to the best park I. The USA! Always family oriented and beautifully decorated for holidays and seasons. I enjoy the rides, entertainment, food and decorations just as much as I did when I was a kid! Thank you for continuing the traditions and quality of life in SDC!!
Me and my wife are not really “app” equipped and talked to Robin——who did an extraordinary job of coaching me with placing my season passes on my phone….she exhibited the most kindness and patience I have ever seen with an “older” person(NOT old just to clearify 😜). My wife and I grew up with 2 things: a red chief tablet and a #2 pencil…..and still don’t breakdown and still work!😆☺️. A toast to the girl called Robin—-may there ever be more….and to come…….. Sincerely, Joe Mansour, DPh.
Might be a decent app if I could get it to work in the park
While I had decent signal strength my cell provider couldn’t keep up, I’ll assume congested network however while silver dollar city claims they have free WiFi it’s coverage was worse then my cell service so the app proved completely useless. One of the few times it worked I was directed to the wrong theatre for a performance I wanted to see. Made me 10 min late and couldn’t get in. A group of people and I were just standing there confused and the only employee we could find could only tell us there were no performances scheduled at this venue today, wasn’t helpful at all.
I had some friends visiting from another country. They were really impressed of the quality of the food, the shows, the workers, and the rides. They had the opportunity to be in another amusement parks and said that Silver Dolar City is on of the best. I felt really happy to hear those comments. Keep it all the team from Silver Dolar City you are doing an AWESOMENESS WORK!!!!!!!
Such a fun family day trip! We have lived in the area for years, SDC has been a staple for summer entertainment. Lots to do especially for the younger kids. We were very disappointed in only one thing this year. Where are the fresh made pork rinds???? It is a low carb snack we always look forward to.
Tried it out to help with my navigation for the day and eliminate my paper map. The functionality seems to work pretty well but I was literally able to watch my battery drain more than 10% in less than 10 minutes. I am not the only one that experienced this. Everyone in my party had the same issue and others we talked to at the park said the same thing. Like I said, great functionality but you will need a backpack full of charged batteries if you plan on being at the park all day and using the app.
The biggest thing missing is the ability to search. Unfortunately the only way to find what you’re looking for, is to scroll through the list or pan around the map tapping on things. If you’re not sure about the name of something, but you know it’s a coaster, it would be nice to type coaster, or hot chocolate. The filters do help alleviate the missing search function however it’s still more cumbersome than it needs to be.
The app overall is excellent, however, the map filtering could use some work. If you uncheck everything in the map filter, there are still red and green “handicap accessability” icons all over that map. The big problem is that they are always on too and there is no way to turn them off, if you aren’t handicapped. As a result, they often hide what you are looking for. The other problem is the filter doesn’t save your settings. Say you turn everything off except rides. ...you use the map to find a particular ride. Later, when you want to go to another ride, you find all the filters are reset, so you have to turn everything off again, to only see rides. ...basically, every time you go into map filters, they reset.
I was trying to find a specific attraction so I could join my family and the “gps dot” on the map kept me walking back and forth across a bridge for an hour. The “route” was accurate but my “dot” wasn’t moving correctly. So frustrating. I finally ask another family for help and they were having the same issue. Finally I found another woman using a paper map and she was able to guide me to the area I wanted.
I was interested in renting an ECV to attend the Echo Hollow Concert in the evening and was told by two different employees that after 3 pm the rental cost was half price. When I returned after 3, I was then told that when the park is open late, the discount is only after 6 pm. I would appreciate getting the correct information the first time I inquire and also feel it is important for employees to be knowledgeable in order to give guests the correct information.
There have been a few changes so it was nice to be able to look up show times or a map when you needed it. Also, the ride wait times were accurate and helped us organize our day.
This place is amazing it has been around for about in the 1900’s. If you are looking for a fun place in Branson, this place is the perfect place for a fun day at silver dollar city. No complaints for this place. You should try this place out. If you do, be prepared for a day full of surprises and fun
This app has been great for our visit during the Pumpkin Festival 2019. It made going between shows and seeing demonstrations easy. I especially would like to thank the developers for adding Dairy-free filter on the restaurant search. This has greatly helped my family during our visit!
The map is great, as is the option to see all rides in order of distance from your location. However, the wait times are totally bogus. Every single one says 0 minutes, when in reality there is often a long wait. For Time Traveler, the app said 0 minutes, but when we arrived, the attendant said it was an hour. Not so great. Otherwise, nice app! But please improve on the accuracy.
As I stood in line waiting to ride the Lost River of the Ozarks, I checked the Wait Time on the app. It said “0” minutes. My family and I waited over an hour! It was the same everywhere we went. Wait time said “0” minutes for every ride except for one which said “5 minutes.” I know the app is in real time, because all of the rides that closed down while we were there (and there were a lot!) were made immediately known on the app.
The frogs and ladybugs only have 1 operators for both and had to wait in line for up to 25 minutes You need to have more then 1 person operating the ride Kids don’t have the patience for that
I have enjoyed SDC for many years. My daughter and I used to go at least monthly. Now that she is grown and gone, I take any chance I get to go. It has something for everyone. I hope to enjoy it for many years to come.
SDC is called “Disney of the west “ and all the roller coasters all have an 1800s theme. SDC goes for quality not quantity there are 5 main coasters and a mine train, there’s a indoor dark ride that’s closing this year(2023) which is sad because it’s 51 years old and the festivals are so amazing!
We have used the app since 2016 and are not pleased with the recent change of ride time ccuracy. In the past, the ride times were mostly accurate. This year, the app shows either open or a low ride times when it will really be double the time shown. We’d like it if S$C would keep the filters applied to rides rather then go back to default.
We did a single day at the park and the app was very helpful. The best part is the knowing the wait times for each ride. I will be using it again on my next trip.
It would be nice that when using map that you could touch a location and it would display name of building. Also include the ability to display season pass on app with ability for businesses within the park to scan for discount. Routes to and from need improvements. It took us long way around from one location to another
This app is great, but it would be super helpful if season pass holders could have their pass in this app, eliminating the need to carry the actual pass. The same would be true for purchased tickets and the free passes that come with the season pass.
Consistently signs me out which is very frustrating when you need to use your passes. I should only have to sign in once per season. Also it is constantly refreshing making it very difficult to look at any rides. Yes, I am at the park with a gazillion other people using the app but you know that and need to make it capable of dealing with the load.
The app has been very useful with its map and schedules, but the wait times for rides are not accurate. Either that, or they are simply not updated often enough. I would recommend downloading the app if you plan on visiting Silver Dollar City, but don’t depend on the listed wait times.
The app is a great idea. The latest update said pull down for updated wait times. Sorry to say this does nothing. Most of the rides now show a 0 minute wait time but when I get to the ride the line is very long. No way that is a 0 minute wait it is much longer! Please fix!
The app seems to be showing me and getting stuck in Whitewater and I don’t have a pass to Whitewater. I have a pass to Silver Dollar City. It seems like this app is a little bit more difficult to navigate about the Silver Dollar City attractions and then we sit on the advance in calendar..
Wait times are not accurate or sometimes don’t show at all. Some rides show open but no wait times, others show open but are down for maintenance. If this issue is fixed, permanently, this app would be great!
Always enjoy the city!! My grand children went to the cave this trip and loved it!! One of my three year old grand children and a five year old rode “FIRE IN THE HOLE!” for the first time! Great times!!
The map feature is very useful to get from one place to another. What would REALLY make it great would be to label the building so you can better navigate. All you see now are brown rectangles for buildings!
Why must I always sign in every time I open the app???
The app is okay once I sign in each time I open the app. Trying to find my way around the park isn't very easy using the app. Wait times posted seem to be simply a suggestion or a wish.
I have a gold season pass and my account (and I know I’m not the only one) does not show the voucher for bring-a-friend guest passes as well as the tumbler. I’m being instructed to go to the ticket booth to access my guest passes. What’s the point of the gold season pass if I being forced to go through the ticket line for guest passes that SHOULD be on the app?
Whatever method that silver dollar city uses to estimate wait times is not good. Times are misleading, almost seems purposeful. Rides were shut down part of the time and not change in times.
This app has potential to be really useful but as it is now, it’s not that great. The estimated ride times section, specifically, does not match reality. One ride said it was a 15 minute wait and it took us an hour. It said another ride was a 60 minute wait and it took 15 minutes. The show schedules and maps were accurate.
