Better than all the rest combined
I used to dread renting a car. I went to book one with another company and it was such an awful online experience that I was ready to give up until I remembered my cousin used Sixt all the time and loved. I reluctantly went online once again, and it was so easy. But the actual proof came when I went to pick up that first car. They could not have been nicer! The service was phenomenal and the car was terrific. I got the app and used it for my second booking. I was terrified that it was going to be problematic. Wrong again! It was so easy! I even got an upgraded car, a BMW. My son was in 7th Heaven in that car. I, as a mom, couldn’t believe how much the lil’ gamer felt like a rockstar. He had never really expressed interest in cars until that moment. I realized Sixt had unknowingly given him a confidence booster in that non-mom car. 😂 Just booked another car with Sixt. Not expecting the dream car. Just happy knowing that I didn’t have a stressful booking experience. I booked it in about 2 minutes. Thanks Sixt!

Great company to rent from
Sixt has an array of vehicles that no other company, in my experience, has. I came across Sixt several ago & I have become a faithful client. They do not require a flight to rent from them, nor do they have any weird charges or holds for just needing the car(Alamo is good too but they don’t have the same caliber of vehicles). I have had the before mentioned problems with reservations from dollar & asis. There was another place whose name escapes me that was terrible. I went to pick up a van for the family & they wanted an additional $200 dollar just bc. Most people would just swipe their card to not have to deal with the headache of going elsewhere (I’ve done it more than once)That’s not the case at sixt. I rent quite frequently from them. I typically rent a GMC that has seating for 7. I have three young boys and when we travel the added comfort is nice & the tv’s & head sets; my kids were happy & so were we. We no longer take any chances going anywhere else if we can help it.

I’ve used Sixt for years, never had a problem other than long wait lines occasionally at pick up (it happens sometimes). The last time I went to pick up a car, I was told my account had been blocked and that the agents at the location would not be able to help me. Ok, they immediately have me call customer services from my phone at the desk (which if you’ve ever had to call, you know you’ll be on hold for at least 30-45 mins). Once again, ok. After getting through to a customer service agent (was transferred several times) I was told I need to email them to get the situation sorted. After explaining that my wife and I are literally on our way to a wedding, I was hung up on by customer service. At this point, it’s too much I have to leave so I asked for a refund (for this reservation and future reservations that I had prepaid for). They can’t even figure out how to give me a refund and recommend I contact AMEX to just dispute the charges. This is the craziest experience I’ve ever had renting a car and am super disappointed in Sixt for letting me down without ANY answers. So as the title implies, beware! Do not count on getting a car you have reserved and prepaid for. Have a backup plan if you’re using Sixt.

Best in Costa Rica
English review below. Llevo diez años viajando a Costa Rica y ésta es la única empresa que no ha tratado de estafarme. El precio que me dieron es el precio que me cobraron. El precio incluía los seguros de a terceros. Aceptaron los seguros contra daños al carro que ofrecía mi tarjeta de crédito. El carro exacto que pedí fue el carro que me dieron. La atención amable e informativa de Silke fue sin par. Fue un poco difícil encontrar la oficina, pero queda frente al Mall San Pedro detrás de la Embajada Italiana. Para mí, ésta es la única empresa de rentar carros en Costa Rica. Si pudiera le daría diez estrellas. I’ve been traveling to Costa Rica for ten years and this is the only company that hasn’t tried to swindle me. The price that they gave me is the price they charged me. The price included insurance for third party damages. They accepted the collision insurance that my credit card offered. The exact car that I asked for was the car they gave me. Silke’s kind and informative customer service was outstanding. It was a little difficult to find the office, but it’s across from the San Pedro Mall behind the Italian Embassy. To me, this is the only car rental company in Costa Rica. If I could, I’d give it ten stars.

Understanding The App
So I booked a car on the app and it was easy and seamless. But when I had to make a change to my reservation the costs were absurd! I called the number and the agent told me that the cost to change my reservation was an additional $585!! SMH! I asked the agent if it was the best that she could do and she recommended that I get to the location and attempt to make the change there. I didn’t think that was a good idea so I just canceled the reservation for a $100 charge on the app. Then I booked a new reservation on the app and it was only an additional $200. SMH!! I said to myself why couldn’t the agent do the same thing for me! I have rented from Sixt a bunch for business and for pleasure and this experience makes me want to use a different rental car company. I’m very disappointed with Sixt, they could’ve done better!

Horrible company, will scam you. Do not go through them!
If you want to have them refuse to let you use the vehicle you pre booked just so they can get you to upgrade and charge you almost double the price for the upgrade, even after they tell you they are going to comp you for the inconvenience, then go ahead use them. I was charged almost $600 for a rental car that should have only cost me $370. Then they won’t give you the signed agreement after you give them your card…. I was told due to the style of the vehicle there was an additional $250 deposit on top of the normal $200 deposit. The $250 turned out to be an additional charge. My husband and I were in Vegas to get married, and to celebrate my birthday. They told me they would wave the additional fees for the upgrade after refusing to allow me to use the vehicle I had initially pre booked. A few days after returning the vehicle, my credit card was charged $250, and the invoice said I only prepaid $320 and not $370. I contacted customer service and they emailed me back saying there is nothing they could do as I signed the ‘attached’ agreement… no surprise there no agreement was attached.

I rented a car and prepaid for it for 4pm last Monday, I went to go get my vehicle and upon arrival they asked for 200$ deposit, would have been nice to know. The person at the counter gave me options that did not work for me and treated me like I was being rude or unreasonable. I decided to 20 minutes later come cancel my reservation as I could not book a flight in time for it to make sense for my business trip. I came back to the new people at the counter talking about how rude I apparently was, which having worked customer service in award winning companies I know I was not rude at all. They canceled my reservation and did not know when my refund would be given to me, that customer service would have to know, which having worked credit card processing as well I find to be outside of PCI compliance. It is almost Friday and no word from their customer support, which Sixt still has my nearly 300$ in money I already spent before hand. I am not going to use this company ever again and suggest you look into them further before working with them. Completely unsatisfied and I hate leaving reviews like this. Poor service, bad model, and a deplorable service agreement

May cost me my job
Okay okay! I hate that I have to give them one star. REALLY HATE SEEING THAT STAR! Let me begin by saying F)?K Sixt! I turned to this company looking for my dream experience but instead they gave me a horrible nightmare at 7am. Downloaded their app. Selected my car. Got the premium insurance, the $0 financial responsibility one. Paid (oh how quick they are to withdraw the cash from my account) and got the warming emails claiming CONGRATULATIONS YOUR BOOKING WAS SUCCESSFUL! With all expenses paid, I confidently go to get my car only to be rejected at the desk because they excepted my payment on a debit card and I did not have a credit card on me. I sat and read through all of their paperwork and nowhere does it say I must bring a credit card in order to rent their vehicle. In addition to that, The transaction was already complete, with NO FURTHER FINANCIAL LIABILITY. In addition to that, the on-site manager took it upon himself to cancel my reservation due to “improper documentation”. I found this out only after contacting customer service. It’s now 3 hours later and I have missed work, my money is tied up, and I’m living a nightmare. Keep hiring (and being) as$h%!@s!

Shining In The Dark
In addition to the competent & friendly service I receive from SIXT at The Plaza Hotel & Casino, LAs Vegas location, The General Manager (Georgios) has gone the extra mile on a few occasions. He not only corrected my account promptly when there was an adjustment needed but handles car exchange situations without the indifference & coldness of most other companies I’ve dealt with where, once they have your money, things get a bit hairy. The staff is full of nice people there & are the reason I switched from using Budget & Georgios is the reason I set up a corporate account. Now, I’m looking forward to starting a monthly car subscription in December. Range Rover Velar or Volvo XC90... who knows but expect the experience to be a good one!

Broken app and registration issues for California USA drivers
I have been trying to get setup on sixt share for over a week. I keep getting the error “something went wrong please try again if you are still having trouble contact customer support” on the selfie with your drivers license step and of course I contacted customer service and explained everything in detail. I followed all of their instructions carefully and I continue to be unable to register for sixt share. In comparison I was setup on “sharenow” their competitor in minutes… also sharenow had a phone number I was able to call at 1am and reach someone immediately who assisted perfectly. Sixt is clearly unaware of how their own app works for their car sharing service and doesn’t have sufficient support to assist quickly. I’ve been back and for to with their customer support via email for days and still no solution. Now they are asking me my device type and operating system AKA canned questions for when they don’t know how to help. Huge waste of time.

Warning!! This App does not work and you could loose $!!
This app books cars for wrong dates you will think you have it right until it sends you a confirmation and if you pay on the app- even if your dates are wrong- and even if you call customer service, they will not help you. When I realized dates were wrong on confirmation, I called, customer service said they knew the app was faulty but there was nothing they could do. Later I received a letter refusing to let me cancel and said that they would only move the dates out or charge me a $100 cancel fee!!! This happened to me and although I thought I liked the company when I booked with them before -not on the app- I will never use this company again. They would not take responsibility for their own mistake and chose to abuse their customer)me) instead. I am disputing their cancel charge. This is outrageous behavior! Don’t make my mistake and pay on the app!!!

Awkward customer service
I have a Sixt+ subscription for a luxury SUV and I love it. Great vehicle at a great price. But that price comes with significant challenges and it’s not clear to me if the company is aware but ambivalent or just oblivious because I get such contradictory information when I call and incomplete information when I email. I am not allowed to call stations directly and cannot get a straight answer. The app is great for setting up a subscription, pausing a subscription, and managing mileage. Unfortunately, while there may not be a contractual reason why i cannot pick-up from San Francisco, return and pause my subscription in Seattle, and resume it in Chicago, there is not a functional way to communicate, request, or change the location you are interested in working with and that is extremely frustrating. Email support suggested I try the website (which explicitly states the app has more functionality) or reinstall the app because they cannot help me switch locations. Neither of those things worked. Is it a contractual or functional limitation? No one seems to know and that includes the only support available to me. So as long as you have a very vanilla use case in mind, Sixt could be great, otherwise I’d skip the hassle.

Free Upgrade
This is the second time I’ve used Sixt Rental Car. First time was easy to use, but since it was off site from the airport needed to take the shuttle. Not a problem. This time it on site, which I liked. However, my flight was delayed for over two hours, so my reserved rental car was not available since it was over their two hour time limit for holding a car. There was no car available for about 20 minutes. Luckily I wasn’t on a time restraint. But when a car became available, the attendant at the counter in Atlanta, Ms Raffaela K, gave me a free upgrade. It was a beautiful yellow Mustang. Love it! Couldn’t be happier and was almost glad I was late! Sixt is awesome and I will definitely use them again.

First usable app for a rental car company
It’s shockingly user friendly and modern for a rental car app. Plus cool features that actually create benefit for their customers — I enjoy the push notification as soon as my airplane lands, prompting me to choose my car (which generally gets upgraded) and click through the rental agreement so I go straight to the car when I arrive and don’t have to wait in any lines. The app is one of several reasons Sixt is so much better than the traditional rental companies, despite the inconvenience of fewer airport shuttles, fewer locations, and all other disadvantages of a smaller provider.

Fantastic Service
I recently discovered Sixt rental car company and haven’t changed since. Their customer service department is always very helpful and accommodating. Ingrid at MIA has been the representative I’ve worked with the last two times and she has always made it a very easy process and pick-up of the car. I can’t recommend them enough; their Cars are always clean and in great shape. They also always try and find you the best deal and are consistently better priced than most other companies. You won’t regret renting a car from them.

Take a reservation but don’t provide a vehicle
Like the old Seinfeld skit - this company knows how to take a reservation - but the don’t know how to fulfill the reservation….they take reservations for cars they don’t have and then after you reserve the car they will cancel the reservation by email with no other notification. They put their poor employees in a terrible position with this policy as they have to deal with the face to face ramifications of a terrible booking policy. If you don’t have the cars - say you don’t have them - we are at risk of missing a $1,000 experience because sixt accepted our reservation request without having the car - upon arrival we found out that despite the app having 10 options of cars for us you choose from they actually had none to offer us. Great Service & Outstanding Staff
I was at the Frankfurt Germany Airport last night and had trouble getting a taxi service to Luxembourg. I wandered over to the Sixt counter to ask for help. The two young ladies who worked there warmly greeted us and searched the Internet for a solution and allowed us to charge our phones while we were waiting. They even offered us chocolates and water. Amazing! Just an hour ago I booked my Mercedes SUV rental in Denver Colorado for the week of September 21st through Sixt. With this type of warm dedication to customer service this is the only rental car company we will use from now on! Great job Sixt!

Worst Rental service in Connecticut
RUDE staff I never such a people like that in a free country like US, one lady she takes people for granted. couldn’t hold my tears because inconvenience they caused they charged me 200$ extra for delay. Because bad foggy weather i drove the car slowly even they don’t care to listen the customer side but they want customer money. And they also insisted me to fuel the tank again for 1$ shortage of gas. Definitely go for a genuine rental companies like hertz,enterprise. I hope this should help at least some because entering that place is nightmare, never forgotten scary.

Sixt has been game changing while traveling throughout Germany. The app's interface is simple and easy to use, and most importantly, its drivers are awesome! They are all kind and accommodating and have clean cars that fit the descriptions during booking. Sixt prides itself on its drivers being on time, and we got 30€ back when our driver was - no exaggeration - one minute late. I would recommend this app to anyone while in Germany!

If I could give negative stars I would. The system was down when we went to return our car, no big deal asked if we needed to sign anything and we’re reassured it would be checked in and didn’t need to sign anything verifying we had returned the vehicle. Check my cc account a few weeks later to find a $3,000 charge. They tried to say we never turned the car in and kept it for a month? We had flown home from where we returned the car.(excuse me did we stow car awhile under the plain?) Trying to get ahold of a actual living breathing human is almost impossible as well. Had to file fraud with my cc company. They handled the whole situation sooooo poorly. My parent’s experience with then was equally terrible. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone ever.

Horrible customer service!
Flight was delayed 2 hours so we missed our pick up time for our rental! I called ahead in advance to update it to ensure we got our requested vehicle as there was 6 in our group so we couldn’t risk being stuck with a compact when we rented a suv Their customer service is useless! Just a 3rd party outsourcing company in India who you can’t understand who can’t understand you & that’s had maybe 1 hour of training! Absolutely a joke! Horrible experience! This was the first time we used Sixt & I guarantee it’ll be the last! They’re not even much cheaper than the established brands (we saved $20 going through them vs Avis or Alamo) next time I’ll pay the $20 extra to avoid this horrible company!

They lied and charged me for items I did not agree to.
I rented an SUV from Sixt in Orlando, and the original rental was for seven days. When I rented, I had to add a second driver, which they charge for, and also added a toll pass because they deceptively made me think I definitely needed it. On the sixth day I called because I was needing to extend the rental past the seven days. On the phone I was very clear that I no longer needed the extra driver (as my friend was leaving) and I no longer wanted the toll pass. Here the representative said they could extend the rental and essentially lied to me, telling me that it would not include those two items. This is a crucial point, because if the representative had said they could not remove those, I would have simply turned in the car and gotten a new rental. When I received my bill, they had still included those items for the entire rental, costing me an extra $200. I called to complain three times and they never relented. I am never renting from them again and will advise everyone to avoid them because they lie and do not take responsibility for those lies.

Poor Showing At RDU
I just tried Sixt for the first time out of RDU and I can’t recommend them. Firstly, the app is very difficult to navigate. I mistakenly started my rental on a Thursday when I meant to start on a Wednesday. There is NO WAY to edit an existing reservation so I was forced to make a new reservation for a single day AT A HIGHER RATE because my original rate could not be honored. Then because I had two reservations they were very confused how to handle my rental. Then they give me a car that SMELLED ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. Like a lingering dead body (one imagines) and cigarette smoke. When I complained about the smell they said they would give me a partial credit. I have not seen this credit come through. And finally when I returned the car they did not check it in properly (since I have two reservations). It is nearly impossible to find the customer service number to call them. Like they intentionally make it difficult to find a real person to talk to and if you try and Google the number for the RDU location no result is returned… DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Just a terrible customer experience.

App users
Sixt is a great company, rents from them about 4 times .. first I have to say this they have the greatest cars out of all other companies… but my last experience was the worst .. always book on Sixt app .. went to the airport to pick up the car and want to upgrade the type of car cuz I had my family so they told me the only option is X5 .. I say I need a bigger and will pay the difference so she says what you paid on the app is gone and I have to do another reservation cuz they there sell and when I reject it she start try to sell me extra insurance still reject it but still sold me one without notice and ofcaurse I sign without looking and ate it .. so bottom line booking threw there app is a mistake

Misleading Reviews
I downloaded this app because the first review in the app store says they do not require a hold charge like other rental companies. This is false. When you go to reserve, there are several documents you can open, one being Rental Information. It specifically states in that document that an additional $200 will be charged when you pick up the car. Overall, it looks like a pretty fair priced company/app and I wouldn’t count them out- but if you read the review that says they don’t take a hold, that is not true.

Horrible in Berlin
*Deutsch unten* Two major problems occurred on my first rental experience. I used SIXT to rent a scooter and then the scooter stopped working, it said I was outside the business area (no way to view the business area on the map), then when I drove the scooter back to the area that It was working it was still unable to lock. I was left with a big bill and no response from customer service. I will not be using SIXT to rent anything again. Bei meiner ersten Vermietungserfahrung traten zwei Hauptprobleme auf. Ich mietete mit SIXT einen Roller und dann funktionierte der Roller nicht mehr. Es hieß, ich sei außerhalb des Geschäftsbereichs (keine Möglichkeit, den Geschäftsbereich auf der Karte anzuzeigen). Als ich den Roller dann zurück in den Bereich fuhr, in dem er funktionierte konnte immer noch nicht sperren. Ich hatte eine große Rechnung und keine Antwort vom Kundenservice. Ich werde SIXT nicht verwenden, um wieder etwas zu mieten.

Car rental
First time using this company, was surprised with outstanding service I got. Rented a car for 5 days at Orlando International Airport. First of all there were no line at rental kiosk at all, took me 5 min to talk to associate, pay and get all info. Plus they upgraded my car from Camry to 4Runner for no cost. Very quick return process, just drop the car with keys at airport parking, 1 hour later got receipt emailed to me. Will definitely use them again!

Tanja is simply AMAZING! I was searching for options on a corporate level and was recommended to her by a friend. She not only met, but exceeded my expectations. Her knowledge and ease of explanation of the process was seamless. Her friendly, yet professional demeanor was breath taking because I also observed some hostile employees at the same location. Tanja is the only reason that my intended 1 month rental has turned into 2 and I even have reservations and am considering a third month or long term rental. The only deterrent is that my rate for my third reservation has significantly increased and I might have to explore alternate options. Sixt will not allow you to rent a vehicle from LAX without a credit card to file, I prepaid for my reservation ($175+) and was told I was going to receive a cancellation penalty now because I don’t have a utility bill w my name on it to use at another location. Thank you Sixt, not only for making me believe I’d have your good business but also for ALLOWING ME TO PRE PAY FOR MY RESERVATION JUST TO BE TOLD I CAN’T GET A CAR BECAUSE OF ONE STIPULATION. You can literally add on insurance through them and that’s not even enough “good withstanding” for them to give you a vehicle. Hopefully Sixt will give me enough of my money back after they dip in the pot first. Smh, this is my first and last time doing business with you guys! Deleting this app right now.

Terrible customer service
Don’t rent from Sixt. You can call Sixt to book a car and pay for it, but can’t reach anyone if you have issues later. Instead Sixt only provides an email address for service. I emailed 10 days ago about an unauthorized $1000 charge that even a branch manager said was a mistake on their end, and have yet to hear anything back from Sixt customer service.

I love this company
I don’t own a car since I walk almost everywhere I need to go, but when I travel longer distances I always rent a car. This is BY FAR the best car rental company I’ve ever used. The staff is knowledgeable, polite, and extremely helpful. The cars are kept absolutely pristine and they offer better models than any of their competitors and equal to or less the price. Whenever possible I will always use Sixt.

San Francisco was a joy. SIXT made it happen
Upon arrival in SFO, I was apprehensive of this new rental company being there for me. They were waiting for me and treated me like royalty! The car was spotless and brand new, waiting for me as promised. SIXT has this system down pat and it was an absolutely joyous rental process only to be topped by the return process which took minutes... Great service and I look forward to a long relationship with SIXT as my preferred rental car agency.

Do not use it outside USA
I recently use this app as I travel to Mexico since I was told it was a good place to rent cars. Very disappointed first I got text messages that there would be some one at the air port to pick us up and take us to the dealer that’s a lie had to walk to the place and their excuse was the had no body to drive. Second I had paid in advance and once I got there they charge for some other thing I had no idea. Third the guy who help had a actitudes. Fourth when I return the car the lady who recibes the car told me she had no one to drive me and my family to te air port and I had four travel bags. Finally I paid double as to what I was quoted. Last time I use this app.

I have two concerns. When a person pays in advance to save money they cannot cancel their reservation and you lose your money if something happens and you can’t go. So therefore a person has to pay an extra amount of dollars, which isn’t cheap, at time of rental. Also I have never, never received the top car on the list. When I get a grouping of jeeps as a top vehicle I always get a Toyota or a Chevrolet. I never get what is the top listing. I believe both of these things are misleading and just away for the company to make extra money.

Horrible experience
I rented the car for 3 days to drive from Indiana to Houston Texas and when I got to Houston the car started giving me warnings that the oil was low Anyway we called them and they just didn’t care So we drove back the same day because we didn’t want to keep driving the suv and for something to happen to it and then be responsible for it When we got back it had 3% of oil and then the oil light came on so I had to return the car the next day I still had a whole day I was supposed to spend in Houston and I contacted them to see what we could do because I had to cut my trip short because of them not being responsible and having their cars completely ready and everything under control. All they did was give me back like $20 or less which is a slap in the face after everything I went through. I won’t ever be booking with them. I’ve rented cars at other places and they’re amazing when there’s problems unlike this company they won’t care .

Website was not working when I tried to reserve a car so I ended up using this app. All my info is already on the website but the app asked my home address and sixt card nbr. It also asked to take 2 pictures of my passport. It says side passport, which side is it? Very poorly instruction. After I gave my sixt nbr, it still asks me again. It seems that sixt always have qa issues bec I had problem with the app last year that led me to use a different car rental service and now this. Half disappointed with this app.

Refused to Refund
I rented from Sixt and they refused to refund me even after promising me that it would be no issue. Our flight was cancelled due to a tornado warning and we weren’t ever able to make it to our destination. I immediately called to let them know this and was told a refund and cancellation wouldn’t be an issue. After waiting a week, I finally received a response stating that the refund was rejected. I had been calling to let them know updates about the delays due to the weather and they assured me they’d take care of me if anything did happen. I would highly suggest not using this company.

sixt ftw
Sixt is a great rental option. But I have learned the hard way that some branches are much better than others in terms of vehicle offerings, mystery charges, and sales pitches to buy the rental insurance. I have had 3 nightmare experiences at Sixt DIA, but Sixt ORD experiences have been top-notch. It’s a great way to enjoy premium cars, but be wary of their pricey insurance, hush-hush geographical limitations, and surprise billing after drop-off. Definitely take HD videos of your car before and after.

They no refund the money when they make mistakes
I have a chime credit card my bank tell me is a credit car and I make a reservation whith that card ,when I went to the pick up they ask me for the card and the say they cant rent me the car because is chime car when i alredy pay before , so I call customer service they say my credit card is not a real credit card and because that they refuse rent me a car and refuse to refund and when I call hang me the phone 3 times be careful don’t recommend this company never have this probl before on my life they taking 488 from me really bad

Nice service in Denver
I often fly to Denver and drive up to the mountains. Until recently I had to do business with other rentals. Now this month I was so lucky that Sixt finally opened a branch at Denver airport. Attitude, service and car were more than satisfactory. Signs back to the lot were non existent but I’m sure that will improve. As the outlet is brand new and all. Looking forward to a speedy and positive service in Zürich next week! 😎

Do not download!!!!!!
The app is useless. I tried to download the app and once I login to the account it doesn’t allow me to click the login button and the app just froze. The company should have a live agent for the customer service. If you book the rental with them keep in mind that you will never be able to cancel the reservations , they’ll tell you to send the email for the cancellation and once you send the email to them the email will send you back the to website which is never work. And you’ll ended up losing all your money to the company.

Great company
This is my first choice, the best car rental company i had to know. I always get my cars for long and short trips from them. All their cars are clean new and full service. The customer service is the best point here, specially in Chicago city!. All the deals are best than any other in the rule!. I highly recommend this company for all those who travel a lot like me.

Sixt App is different to the other car rental Apps
...because it actually shows the best rates available on the cars. Avis and Hertz have better Apps, but the prices quoted are generally 50% to double what you can rent the same car from the same agency from using one of the online booking portals like Expedia. To me, this makes them pretty much worthless. I use the Sixt App because it quotes lower than Expedia.

I have rented sixt for a long time, I am not a person to complaint or make complaints even if service was bad. Sixt always advertisebmw or mercedez on the webaite but I have never actually get to rent one as I always get the alternative equivalent car. The thing that made me write this is one time I rent a car from their houston office, my reservation includes toll but the agent always too busy deceiving you into getting an upgrade ans didn’t add toll like I had reserved. I also requested it again at the location to include toll. They end up charging me over $100 for tolls. Never rent from them again.

Friendly service, great price
We have rented with Sixt a number of times and have always found it to be a good experience. Beyond friendly customer service, we’ve even had the rep direct us to a great place to eat after a long flight! The cars we’ve gotten have been clean, comfortable, in great running condition, and priced well. We wish Sixt were an option at more airports.

Thank you GIGI!! I rented a SUV in Aventura/ North! I usually rent cars in Sixt. This September in this place it has a profesional stuff , kind and helpful, always are doing the best for Client. Cars are the last editions and work excellent! Gigi fue especialmente amable y generosa, sobre todo informándome sobre las condiciones claras y los seguros importantes a tomar. App hasn’t worked in 2 days … again
When trying to book a car, the app shows its sprite when looking up pickup locations but never displays a list. Sadly, this isn’t the first time this has happened. Their mobile site is no better. How can a company who relies on technology as their method for new and repeat business be so bad at it? How do you keep making the same mistakes? There’s no excuse for bad customer service and higher prices because of your short comings. I’m positive my rental will be more costly … because I had to go elsewhere. AGAIN.

I made a reservation for a car in NY and when I went to pick it up they wouldn’t give it to me because I am not 21. Clearly on there website when I rented it, they allowed 19 year old to rent at the same time if you look into there own site and they charged me for the car. They say in the state on New York, age 18 they can rent from sixt as long as they have a valid drivers license and get this they also kept asking many different forms of verification when my drivers license wasn’t good enough, my own cards wasn’t good enough. Receptionist wouldn’t even accept my passport as a proof of myself 🤦🏽‍♂️.

Definitely check your Debit or Credit cards what was given to this garbage company!! Even months later they type in manually your card information and Charge you!! They did it ! Rented a car from them in last year December, and 2 months later they gave a try and put and extra $120 charge on my credit card! FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!! If you decide to use them, make sure get replacement card from your bank!! MUST!! They save card information without your knowledge, and put charges on it!! You might catch it, might Not! It’s insane!!
