Interesting!

Interface is a little too blocky for my liking and the load screen flashed instead of did a page turning effect with a loading button. It was weird to navigate but the application itself is quite good. Needs a major facelift.

Became aggravating!

I have twins and we used this app for their school spelling lists last year. It was already a lot of trouble adding the custom list, finding a photo, recording every other word because the app didn’t have recordings for all words, but now, I’m twice as disappointed. I re-installed the app on both kids’ iPads to assist with school spelling lists and it works fine on one iPad, but on the other it is virtually useless. Words can be added to the board, but pictures cannot be loaded from any source, and the voice recording isn’t recording anything.

Spelling Bee Pro

I like this game a lot when I am just sitting around the only problem you have is when you try to use a symbol in between letters in a word it doesn’t work. Other that it’s great.

Awesome and kudos to team

This is an awesome app and exactly what I am looking for. I am very very happy with my purchase. I am glad I found this app. Only one small issues not able to find some additional games like bingo, blanks, quiz etc

Need option to hear word used in context

Not a bad app, but could be improved: * Provide an option to hear (or read) the word used in context. Needed to distinguish between homophones. * Hint option (lightbulb icon) should show just the next letter of the word being spelled, instead of the entire word.

The app is hard to progress

The app does not allow you to progress fast even if you get everything right you need to go fast and you have to really go fast to progress more than 10& I hate this app

Not worth it

Very non-intuitive. My wife bought this for our son, was very animated in describing how difficult this was to use. Thought she was overreacting so I tried it tried it out myself. It's bad.

Pro only has grade 3 lesson

The description says there is a grade 6 lesson as well.

Many options...individualized

Seems a little confusing as to exactly what to do at first...boards, classes etc.. Maybe some talk through and or writing to explain as you go and or make choices. This app is GREAT for a classroom teacher working on spelling and or language skills. Could be helpful for a mom who home schools and has several children to keep track of. I like that it keeps a history on each child. You have many options to tailor this app to each individual child and his or her learning interests and styles. One area that could be better for my child is to have the choice of yes and no as well as the check and x.

Great way to practice spelling

As a speech-language pathologist, I'm always looking for new ways to target spelling and learn sight words. This app has a great variety of different activities to target words as well as keeping learning fun for the kids. I can't wait to use it in therapy and at home with my daughter. I especially love that you can make your own word list easily and incorporate those words into the various games.

Great App

As a classroom teacher, I found this to be very helpful. There are different games available and word lists so I can have different students work on different lists and games. Also, my own children were intrigued by the games. My oldest being in middle school found it challenging to play. Great additional support to spelling and recognizing those sight words.

It's good practice ..

This app serves as good practice especially for the child that is having difficulties with spelling at any grade level. However, if the child excels in spelling, he/she will find it amusing at first since it's a new app to "play" with but will easily get bored & move on to other game options on his/her device. There are a lot of spelling game options to choose from so it can be a bit confusing for a child to choose which one to start with... Overall, it's good but not great..

This is a great app! I use it all the time with my students who are having difficulty with letter recognition and handwriting. By presenting the material in a variety of ways it reaches those students who need repetition and have different learning styles. My students want to keep playing with it over and over!

Great app for learning new words

I use this app for my daughter that is in Kindergarten. My daughter has ADHD and this app helps her with learning new words that I haven't thought of. I use it in the car and in the stores. It is very convenient to have this learning app on my iPad. Thank you so much for all of your help.

Another great app

I have loved using bits board app with my students and they love it too. I feel confident that this new app will be just as popular with us. Like the similar format so we can jump right in to using it without a steep learning curve. Thank you for your quality apps!

Fun and good

Very pleasant app indeed, this Spelling Bee. Audio is clear as cristal. Many practice modes. You can practice till you drop... Not only for kids! One thing I don't like : it is a little bit tricky to get out of a game once you've reached 100% ! At first, I couldn't find the way out and had to play the same game on and on... I had already bought it (bitboards). For unknown reasons MY paid version did not function properly, Spelling Bee hotline told me about the special offer. By some magic, Spelling Bee PRO at no cost did work fine! Thank you anyway for the offer.

Great way to practice!!!!

I loved all the different ways a child can play and spell at the same time. The only thing that seems in the way a little , is that "bomb" icon while selecting the letters. It gets it the way.

Fun and effective

This is a great app. It's attractive, fun, customizable, and words are clearly pronounced. Just what I was trying to find for my 5 children ages 5-16. If definitions were available for the words this great app would be even better!

Great!

I really like that this app has so many pre loaded lists so that it's quick and easy to get my kids set up on it. The option to put in my own lists is also nice.

Pro spelling app

Great for my 9yr old, on autism spectrum, along with visual and cognitive issues. The photos,word search game and voice over enable him to spell with his fingers, in a visual way that he needs. We love this app! Thank you

Spelling Bee pro

I'm not sure Spelling Bee ask for a review before I could ever use with my kids. To top it off I think I have to pay at each grade level.

Must Have Educational Tool

This app is a must have, from beginner learning to far upper grade. It offers a wonder way to not just spell words listed but learn how to retain other words.

It's like a focused Bitsboard

It's a nice app. Like Bitsboard in structure and made by the same people. This one is focused on spelling. I like pretty much anything these people put out. Good stuff.

Great app!

Very nice app. Recommended it to 2 SP-ED teachers I know to use in the classroom. They love it. Does need better tutorials on how to use all the features.

Love to spell

I love this app. I am a speech therapist and it helps so much with sound, letter ID, word/ image recognition and is so incredible.

Great App!

The first day my 7 yr old learned how to spell grandma, then the next day he was asking to "play" spelling again! Love it!
