I uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times. I have an iPhone so this should not be problematic. But the notifications do not stay cleared out. When I mark all as read, once I close the app and do other things, when I reopen the app, there are 25 notifications all over again. The Touch ID has also failed to work. When I contacted help, they simply told me to uninstall and reinstall the app. That hasn’t worked yet. I like the features, but please make Touch ID work with the newest apple iOS updates and fix your notification issues. Plus I would like to see my overall GPA when I look at my degree progress. That would be VERY helpful information to have at a glance.
Wow. I just saw a review from four years ago talk about how old notifications lingered. I've been a student and have had this app for almost four years and notifications problems still plague the app. When one action happens, like an assignment getting graded, or someone replying to a discussion post, I get MULTIPLE notifications?! I'll see 4 notifications, login, and see one actual alert. Extremely annoying. I am uninstalling/reinstalling today, and if that doesn't fix anything I'm prepared to finish my degree without the app. Only reason I had it was to check grades.
when I got a new iPhone the Videos dont playing on my iPhone pro max. However it worked on my older iPhone. It Keeps telling me to allow third party cookies. And I contacted apple and they said there has to be something wrong with the app itself because we went through all the trouble shooting thru them to try and fix a issue and still not working. 😔 Does anyone know the fix? I tried deleting app and reinstaling as well still no fix!
Whenever I go to answer a daily question and hit submit the app just closes. This started happening about a week ago while trying to use the app on my iPad ,hso now I have to go to the full I campus website.
The App was working fine but now I log on, it looks like it’s working but it never opens. I have to go to the website on my phone to do anything because the app no longer opens on my iPhone. Disappointed in this development because I liked the app for quick checks and status updates on my classes.
I gave the app a 1 star rating for the following reasons: 1) it doesn't appear to be available for iPads which the only type of mobile device I do actual work on (I have a keyboard case so I can use it as a laptop when needed) 2) almost every action such as reading discussions forces me into the Blackboard app. This would be such an issue if... 3) the Blackboard app never works when opened via the Strayer app. I always get a server error. 4) the app appears to have Touch ID support (YAY) but it almost never functions and most of the time I have to manually log in This review could be a 5 star if these issues are addressed in order to make the app worth using.
My application keeps crashing when I try to log in. Please fix this issue with an update so I can use my mobile school app and stay updated on my current school work and grades. Thanks a bunch :)
I get notifications that don’t appear when I open the app. The grades and objectives aren’t syncing properly. I have to open, close, then open the app again to open properly. Several times my courses don’t load. Broken since the blackboard went down a month or so ago.
Whenever I go to log in it keeps closing out. Basically I can’t log into my app to see anything. This app needs to be updated or something. It shouldn’t be crashing like this. Get it together now and get it working correctly. PLEASE UPDATE THIS APP!!! This app is outdated because it’s been two months since it’s been updated...SMH.
This app is pretty much useless. It NEVER updates. It’s still says I have assignments due when I don’t. The grades haven’t updated in over a month. What’s the point? I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it twice. This needs to be fixed. I shouldn’t have to log onto the strayer site every time I want to check grades.
The app does not allow me to see any information. It will give me a notification but once I open the app I don’t see my courses or any information such as conversations etc. the blackboard does not show at all. I will be deleting the app
I try and use this app along with the blackboard app and they both aren’t worth downloading. They are never up to date and can’t be used to do any work on them. The only thing I can do is look at my grades on them and sometimes not even that. Waist of time.
This app absolutely REFUSES to stay open!! I have an iPhone 6s Plus, so it shouldn’t be an operating issue or anything. I have uninstalled & reinstalled the app twice already in an attempt to fix the issue and was unsuccessful both times. Guess I’ll be relying on the website to access my Strayer Account.
The app has been great until recently. Now it will not load anything. I have deleted it several times and added it back in hopes that it would help but no luck. The app is now useless!
For some reason the app takes to long to open when you tap it. I had a concern during the beta testing and thought it would have been fixed by now, but no. It takes a relatively long time to open, please fix that. Thanks.
This app was working great for a while, and now it doesn’t work on my iPhone or my iPad. It logs me in and then doesn’t load any of my courses or my assignments. I can only use the app on my phone. Can someone fix it please?!
App keeps automatically closing as soon as it logs into my account. I have deleted and reinstalled multiple times and it does the same thing every time.
I'm a returning student and this app is better than anything I've used in the past. There are a few problems, though. The first is no iPad app. The second is no access to Blackboard which I kind of understand. The last problem is the fact that I haven't been able to use it for quite a while now, because it consistently crashes. Even after the latest update, it still crashes. Fix the crashing please!
Nice smooth new updates. I can login, edit my groups, edit Blackboard notifications and most of all I can now check my Financial Aid all while using this app!!! There are no problems with this app on my end. It's fast, free, and very convenient to my needs! Keep them updates coming... #StrayerFamily #KeepUpTheGreatWork
I do like the Strayer app, however the Blackboard App is terrible. I usually resort to my internet browser. It would be amazing if this app was made compatible for the iPad since it's easier to do work on sometimes. It does have some latency but overall, is a good app.
This app was great but since the last update I can no longer log in. The app will look like it's accepting my login credentials and then force close or just completely fail. I'm running this on an iPhone 6S. Hopefully you get it working again soon!
I do love the concept of the app but I have not been able to get on I can log on but it'll open and then close and I'll be back at my home screen, the crashing is not fun and I really wish you guys could fix it.
My app updated yesterday, on July 20, 2020 and it definitely has a lag now but the notifications tab is the most annoying part. To make the notification on the app go away, we now have to wait for it to open up fully rather than just tapping the notification and pushing the close button
I downloaded the app to be able to keep up with my school work and turn in assignments on my iPad (my at home computer) and it actually worked for about a day or two while I got everything set up. Now courses have actually started and I cannot keep the app open. Once it is opened it just does the circle loading and wont let me do anything in it. I searched the reviews and see other apple users are having this issue. I have an Android cellphone and my app works fine for droid.
Thanks to an arcane username creation process, I use a password manager to manage both username and Password for my Strayer account. During the login process, when you switch back to the Strayer app, it is reset. So I paste my username in, go back to the PW manager for the password, switch back to the Strayer app and it has lost the username. I don't know if you have to log in again every time you switch back to the app because I have never successfully logged in. The blackboard app will not save log in information. The username and password generation are overly complex and void of user input. I understand their position, but their approach creates inconvenient apps. Since apps are supposed to make life more convenient, I feel like this app is unusable.
