Summit Racing

I have used summit for years and normally when i have had problems or questions about orders or parts they have been great at addressing them. Which is one of the main reason for using them and there quick delivery’s. But since covid there custom service has been nonexistent i simply can not get in contact with them they don’t answer the phone don’t respond to emails or texts its been very frustrating. But i continue to give them the benefit of the doubt due to their past good business practices. But if there support staff are now operating from home no seems to be doing there jobs. Lets hope summit gets back to the great company they were. If not i will probably start using another company.

I really enjoy shopping with Summit Racing. They have always been helpful even when stuff just goes wrong. They are the fastest at shipping that I have experienced. Now the App. The phone app can be a little challenging at times. Slow to respond, hard to get the best price, and hard to get all of the options listed in a search. One example, searched comp cams magnum roller tip rockers looking for the higher 1:72 ratio. It not even on the list of options. I went to the comp cams website to get the part number to put it in the app. I put the part number in and then it shows up. It’s just time consuming to get a list of everything your looking for before using the app to be able to find it. I feel like most of the people shopping on the site / app are budget minded. Example What is going on with pushrod prices. Stock gen 1 Chevy 5/16 pushrod is $30-50 and a plus .100” pushrod is $120 plus for same standard of pushrod. Okay I’m done.

I like everything about Summit except the Will Call system in Arlington. It’s a joke. You have to wait an eternity. Twice now have not called my name when the screen said my order way ready. The last time, after waiting another fifteen minutes, I walked up to the counter and said that my name was not called and the counter man said “That’s a lie. See right here? They write the time your name was called”. My name is super hard to pronounce, which I’m convinced is why it’s not called. Like someone couldn’t just write a time down and throw it on the shelf. If it weren’t for that retarded system I would give it five stars.

I have been ordering from summit for years and years and most of the time they’re great to deal with but this app is one of the most bug ridden piles of garbage I’ve ever used. I’ll go through and select my vehicle and then go through the filters until I almost find the part I want and then the whole app will just shut down and I have to start over. Also I was just looking for a camshaft for a ford FE engine and they didn’t have ANYTHING good show up which I understand that there’s a massive back order and many different manufacturers of camshafts but I thought there would at least be something so I almost gave up and then I searched eBay and found out that there’s a summit brand one and I typed the part number in the app and sure enough it shows up and it is in stock but I don’t know if I want to order from them anymore

Shopping as a guest, then trying to log in and check out with PayPal was impossible. It constantly looped back. Log in with PayPal. Then PayPal would send me back to the app. The app then would ask me to log in. On the few times it would take my summit log in. It goes back to checkout asking how I wanted to pay. Which started the whole log in loop over gain. Most of the time the summit log in would just come back blank like I never put information in. Had to delete app because it would automatically send me to the app from internet explorer. Finally order my parts by deleting app and ordering on IE.

The happen has been really good up until the past week or so. (Current date is March 21, 2020). I tried to check out and it kept saying my cart was empty and still showed that I had items in my cart on the cart button in the top right. Confusing. I could add a part and it was say part added but would not show up when I went to look. I deleted and reinstalled the app and now it will not let me log in. I reset my password and still have the same issue. I click login and it loads then takes me back to log in screen and has blank entries like I never filled it out. Pretty frustrated with it currently.

Availability, price, shipping and customer service has always been a positive experience. I have been restoring a tri-five over the last six years and never had an issue with Summit. No supply chain excuses, delays or overpriced hidden shipping charges….even during Covid. The one time I was short a part was my own fault. I didn’t pay attention to the quantity, which was clearly labeled on the Summit site. I called customer service to order the other part, bummed I was going to get stuck with a shipping fee. Nope. Summit immediately sent it out and waived the shipping. That says a lot!

Summit is the king of consistency when it comes to buying auto parts online and from great distances (Alaska). The more i shop online for whatever it is that i need for my build i always end up at Summit at the end of the day. I can trust them, in just about every aspect. Orders are very timely and you can tell they really do care about their customers and their reputation as they show initiative to make things right when it comes to fixing mistakes. Hands down the top place to shop for any time of build on my opinion, novice to master. Thankyou summit racing.

Summit has always been the most reliable car pets and supplies stores I’ve been happy enough to order from for years now. Once i discovered the world of DIY car mods and now build what i want when i need it, Summit has always made it simple easy and quick to order from. Not only do they offer quick and free shipping with large enough orders but i usually see it next day if not within 2 days unless it’s out of stock. On top of that the prices beat almost anyone and everyone.

Always a good experience with summit. Serious parts for serious performance. Tech line is good their very knowledgeable about ALOT of stuff. If something is wrong it’s truthfully probably something I didn’t realize when I ordered the part. I’ve spent so much money thru the years with them they have even returned stuff that I have ordered wrong for no extra charge. I have owned many old hotrods thru the years and their my go to company for sure. Always puts a smile on my face to see that summit box get delivered to my house.

The Summit app is recognizable as being a Summit product since it looks very similar to the website. The app version performs well and works smoothly, with a fun drifting loading screen between pages. The bonus of using the app is that Summit periodically offers discounts for ordering in-app. My cart syncs between the website and app since I’m logged in on both so I can seamlessly add items to my cart on mobile and desktop.

There’s no buy it now button on an item. If you want to buy something you must add to cart and then buy and if you have other thing in the cart that your unsure of I guess you have to remove those items and find them somehow some other time??? I searched and looked even had my brother look and there’s no other way very stupid issue that a well known company should not have in my opinion. Online shopping is a very big thing nowadays yous should realllyyyyy update the app and fix these issues. I don’t like to shop with anyone else but eBay is a bit cheaper and wayy easier to use this app is like purgatory I can’t get off one page the check out! Fixxx your bugsss!

The app seems to be unstable quite often. I’ve had several occurrences where I tried checking out and it would get stuck in a revolving screen trying to refresh but would never refresh. It’s also frustrating that it does not keep your place in the previous selection. For example: if you are viewing a list of search results and you click on a particular item, when you back out of that item, it takes you back to the top of the list instead of keeping your place in the search.

Very clunky. When returning from viewing an item within the search the app takes you back to the top of the page rather than returning you to where left off in the search. So each view of an item requires you to scroll back down the page to where you left. It also took me 4 time to checkout through PayPal.

Excellent and the filters actually load now! When you use the website on the mobile device, and the section had thousands of parts to choose from, the filter buttons would not work. There is no issue with the app version! Good stuff. I wish the app allowed for autofill for cc information like the website does. It seems to take a little bit load some searches but over all, it’s great.

The app is extremely laggy. The back feature takes forever to load and often times will not take you back to where you need to go, you end up in a loop between looking at 2 products instead of being sent back to the original search. Causing you to have to sit through and re-input all of the search criteria. Which it loads for ever every time you narrow your results. I’ve made many of orders from summit, but the app is rather frustrating. Also extremely frustrating to see that you are paying for positive reviews in the App Store. I work with honest businesses, not businesses that buy there way to the top.

Currently my cart will only show one item. Even though I add another item it will replace what was in my cart. Plus the login is still bad. Will kick me out at random points after a loading screen. Very frustrating. Also why is it so hard to find the “tools and calculators”? There is no reason why I have to search for them when on my computer they are just at the bottom of the screen. I expected better from such a reputable company. These issues should not persist as long as they have.

I love the app and it’s rapid interface. It’s intuitive and also unique to an extent from other eCommerce automotive suppliers. Many times I thought I would stump it’s search engine with ambiguous words along with “part types”. Low and behold I got logical and decent results. The only negative to this app, I think only this latest version has been with Deep Linking. If the app isn’t pre-loaded to be multitasked, such as you swipe out apps which are resource hogs proactively like I do, and click on a web URL for a Summit Racing item, it will simply open the app to its main page. If you go back to the link and click, with the app now prelaunched, it’ll open the item. Beyond that, the app has worked so well, it’s cause me large financial loss... ...From buying too many parts... #CovidProjects

I’ve been using Summit’s mobile device website for many years and recently decided to download the Summit App. While it’s fairly easy to navigate, I feel like the mobile device website was easier when it came to searching, using filters and closing out your shopping cart. Maybe there’s just a mild learning curve as this was my first actual purchase using the App. Does what you need it to do though.

It’a not an easy app. to find parts for a specific year and model. I wish you could for example search magnetic drain plug. Then go to your saved cars and enter it and see the results. Instead you have to enter your saved car and then it takes you categories and the long search begins. I wish it was easier/ faster to navigate the site. I love SummitRacing and would buy more parts faster, if I could find them quicker

Overall, the app is easy to go through, but that’s only when I’m actually logged in. In many cases now, the login is the major cause to my frustration. I’d type my email & password, and just when I think I’m logged in, I click on “Wishlist” and guess where it takes me? Yup. Back to the login screen. Please, please, fix this

When I search spark plugs by engine, it provides a plethora of “universal” options. I know enough to know if I ordered those they wouldn’t fit. But you are lining customers up for failure. Y’all are supposed to be the experts. Furthermore, your back button is broken. It only takes you back one page, and when you push it again, it returns you to the page you had just left. The only way to get back to he main page is to close and reopen the app. Very disappointing app. AutoZone has a better and more accurate app. That’s sad.

I set up the app as a customer ease of use very simple. They show to have the amount of parts in stock and when they’re ready after you order, they’ll send you notifications when your parts are on our way. Can’t get any better than that. Thank you.

I would like to start with Summit racing is awesome they always give me my stuff within a couple of days. The problem is the app is terrible making it extremely difficult to look up parts of any kind shopping carts get dumped and a lot of times you can’t even search for the vehicle you want. I would certainly spend a lot more money if I could even find the stuff I’m looking for without my card being dumped or being able to put in a search for a year make and model and the app to become immediately amnesia attic. Or to not be able to switch vehicles .

Your old system of online shopping was much easier to use. Continual requests for make, model etc. erases the noun causing duplicate entries. I just spent 10 minutes trying to order header gaskets and gave up when it kept asking over and over for information. The only reason I use online is calling an order takes slightly longer, but not by much. I appreciate your customer favored attitude, it’s why I am a repeat customer, but on line shopping is frustrating!

Always get great service and quick delivery. Top notch in all regards! I will say that from what I’ve noticed over the years is that if I call in an order, it seems to arrive quicker for whatever reason. Doesn’t make a difference to me because if I really need something I’ll just drive to Talmadge 😊

Summit Racing is a great resource to find just that part you need to complete your project or research and plan your next big one! They have great website that is fast, easy to navigate with a wonderful technical support staff for when you have that question, Will it fit? They are there to help.

Regardless of what, how many or how often I try to add items to the cart to purchase and checkout, the items seem to disappear or only show the last item selected. After making several attempts, I just up and use a web browser to open the Summit webpage and go about business from there. Same thing happens when trying to add items to the wish list. Hopefully the APP genius’s are able to work on these problems and get a corrected and updated APP out soon.

Only issue I have with the app is that it’s a little tricky to try and plug in a specific vehicle and search for parts. You have to go about it in a specific way to keep the vehicle plugged in. It would also be nice to be able to filter parts selection using a custom price. Otherwise the app works awesome with no bugs and easy to navigate and use

First off, I love Summitt Racing products and the availability, however, I’ve noticed that every time that I look for a part, I have to re-enter the vehicle information and/or the engine family. It becomes slightly bothersome and frustrating and it causes me to close the app. Maybe it just me, but that is what keeps me at a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review. Otherwise, you’d definitely get 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Had the old app which was slow but never forgot who I was. Updated to the new app and nothing but problems. Created a new account since it didn’t recognize my old email ordered some parts, created a wish list, went back on 3 days later didn’t recognize my email again, created another account with the same email, ordered parts, went to log in and didn’t recognize me, created another account with same email, same thing again. I Don’t think I should have to register every time I want to buy parts just to do business with you.

I’m not sure how it could be made to be much more difficult. Took me about ten minutes to look up “Pontiac timing chain and gears”. Not sure how I got it in the end. Can’t just type it in the tool bar, it’ll either say they don’t know what you’re talking about or they’ll show you every timing chain they have. Then it seems like your forced to start typing in all your vehicle information. I know summit probably goes around and around with meetings with experts on how to make this app work better, but they really dropped the ball!

Summit has always been the best online auto parts store since computerized type mobile phone have been on the market. The convenience and complete inventory has been perfect for we Motörhead’s whether we are in our shops backyards or at the race tracks. What we need and when we need it John Kidd

I would say there are a few complaints with the app, like it being slow sometimes, but overall it is much better than trying to use a desktop version in a mobile device.

I am completely unclear how this app has so many positive reviews....maybe if you rate it a five you get a free Summitt cup or hat. The app is big time clunky and is extremely confusing when you put an engine or car model in and try to search for particular parts. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. When you go back a screen you loose all your engine and/or car info and you have to reprogram this info back into the search. After doing that about 10 times trying to find a Mechanical fuel pump on a Mopar RB 440, I was about to throw the phone against the wall. Aggravating is the understatement of the year. I actually found the part on the Jegs app and then just punched the part number in on the Summitt app. I live in DFW, so I went to the local Summitt store and just picked up. Love Summitt but this app is worthless. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!!! and make it more user friendly!

I love SummitRacing, the shipping is super fast and their customer service is awesome. But please for the love of all things, bring the old app back. It’s the only one that worked and never had any glitches. The new app versions have not worked since day one there are too many issues. Make car part purchases great again.

After a couple hours of using the app to locate a couple items, I decided never again. The filters are terrible and routinely defaulted to no results after filtering on a new parameter despite showing hundreds of items remain in the selection. The new Summit App is a step backward and actually makes it more difficult to find items than sites that only offer traditional page searching like Jeg’s, which is likely where I will do my future shopping due to the headache and frustration from today’s experience at Summit.

The reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is I have a problem with the app is when you’re on your account and you want to look at parts that you already order, the link doesn’t take you to that part. It just refreshes to the page you were already on. You have to manually search for the part that you have ordered. Other than that, great app!

It seems that when all other businesses are in the toilet summit is still holding the line with customers first. That says a lot with me hope that you never lose site of your customers this is why I always come back to y’all. Thank you

I have the latest version of this app and the first time I used it, it forgot my entire wish list. Gave it a try today and made a wish list again. It says it added items to my cart when I moved them over from the wish list, yet when I view the cart, I have no items. Makes it kinda hard to buy anything when the cart never holds your items. I’m assuming your web page is the only reliable way to but from Summit. You’ve probably lost more in sales from this app than if you just never offered one at all.

I consistently use this app at work and home. I rarely can get through a quote or purchase for that matter with out the site crashing or going to the never ending loading screen. You’ll see that car do more laps than Nascar at Daytona. When you do a search it will say xxxx items found but scroll thru the list and you will see a repeat of the same items over and over again. Summit customer service is the BEST though. Someone just needs to simplify the app.

Imagine my surprise when I discovered I could order outdoor Christmas decorations for my home from Summit Racing. And at REASONABLE prices (when other sources are raking consumers over the coals!). My snowman is awesome; I cannot wait for Santa to arrive. Thanks Summit Racing, for adding some of the fun back into my holiday season! I’ll be back again!

When my buddy send me links to the website and I add an item to the cart and I go back to the app the items are in there. cause I’m back and forth between the two a lot and that is hella convenient. Other than that it is just like the website, pretty much identical.

The app was great now lately it seems that when I go to wishlist and try and advance to next page it wants me to re-login. It is a royal pain and make it take forever to get through wishlist if it is more than a couple pages long.

As much as I love SummitRacing, and the number of orders I have placed proves it, the website is junk. It’s hard to navigate, the searches usually don’t work and it hangs a lot. I get so tired of watching that little car with the smoking tailpipe going around and around. (If they think this is supposed to look like a hotrod doing donuts, they need a new graphic artist). Don’t get me wrong, there inventory is great, fast shipping and good prices………. They just need to fix this website .

I had a hard time myself navigating, I don’t know if it’s because of being a guest vs creating an account, but I tried creating an account with the email I have and this is the only email I have and it wouldn’t let me get pass this point so I had to go in as guest, not to thrilled like I would expect this place to be but it’s ok, I’m sure for some it’s the best and that’s ok just not for me, maybe one day if I ever get to shop inside I might feel somewhat better about it, thanks tho to you guys.👍

Please update the app!! At random times it will take me to home page and when I try to press filter results, at time it doesn’t work. Also, after I press filter results when trying to search up pushrods, it’s doesn’t bring up the option to select what size pushrods you want to filter out the unnecessary results. The app used to perform flawlessly, please fix it!!!

Its hard to choose certain filters like when i was looking for wheels i couldn’t search for the size and style i wanted with the certain brand i wanted. I had to call weld instead and order em through them because summit doesn't give you the option for a 17 beadlock wheel by weld. Too many pages to run through in the filter. Older style was way easier when the app first came out

I use to get all my Proformance parts at the local parts store till I found summit racing. Since finding summit I only go to local parts store if I need a part then and they have it in stock. Pricing and number of different choices makes summit my go to for my automotive needs.

This might be the worst app on the App Store. Such garbage is doesn’t add products to your cart, so you’ll go through adding an ENTIRE order, which can take hours, and you get to the end and go to check out-2 items in your cart when there should be 30-40. Incredible. Then if you call to complain-they tell you it’s your fault, say they’ll send you a gift card (never did) and round and round we go. I make the 1hr + drive to the store just to avoid that dang app and the website, which is no better DO BETTER SUMMIT I SPEND HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS A YEAR WIT YOU. HIRE A NERD TO FIX YOUR WEBSITE!!!
