Sun Valley Resort

One of the best resort apps… thank you… maps, conditions, forecast. Some trails grooming status say last updated 30 days ago… does not seem correct.

This is a useful app but it could be improved with accurate weather information. The temperatures and forecast are generally wrong and to a large “degree”. The temperature data top and bottom rarely shows any relation to reality. I use multiple weather apps and Sun Valley rarely is even close. And the forecast temps are even worse, so often they show temperatures from morning to afternoon plunging significantly when, or course, they warm from morning to afternoon most of the time. This is important to help skiers dress properly, especially for people who don’t live here. Also, the filter selections on the trail maps should be maintained between views. This is not a big deal but why create extra work for users? Sun Valley is the #1 ski area, it should have the #1 app, it’s all part of the experience.

So I think that this could be a very great app! With the access to the mountain cameras, weather, snow depth, etc, I don’t see why more people don’t use this. But the problem I see is that 99% the stuff is ether inaccessible or isn’t updated regularly. Something like this needs continued updates and attention. I can see this being something that could make the experience that much better. So because of the fact that it isn’t updated and attended to, I will only give it 2 stars.

Agree. It’s clearly got an updated look and has potential but there is no ability to log in and track your personal info such as days on the mountain. When I asked at the lodge why this was so no one seemed to know or really care. One guy said “just ask the guy that checks your ticket at the lift for days skied, etc”. Well that’s a big step backwards. I’m looking forward to this feature being added back in.

I was hoping to use this app to have the trail map easily accessible and maybe even offline 🤞. Unfortunately, the app prompts me to “download high res version”, it does that and works great, but then 1-2hrs later the trail map never shows up. Only a blank screen. I can see the symbols for the open runs and lifts and search for trails, but only a blank screen. I deleted the app and reinstalled and hit the same bug

App is helpful AND actually works on the mountain. Weather and snow report are very accurate. But, a grooming report accessed from homepage (vs. several clicks away) would be helpful in navigating the mountain. Even cooler would be a grooming report map accessed from the home page.

amazing skiing and easy to use app

A world class resort like SV should have a ski tracker and a group skier app like so many other mountains already do. It’s a destination resort which almost always says a group or meeting sone people there. Why not let them find each other on the mountain. This is a big miss on this app.

After trying to use this to track three days of skiing I will delete it. It is useless. It stopped recording after my third run it stopped tracking today and yesterday it stopped long before my day was complete. It is also useless for mountain updates.

Uninspiring template based app. No integration into pass status and or tracking. No resort integration. Save yourself the trouble and use the website and the website’s mountain report page to get all the mountain info without all the unnecessary clicking.

Show the new area that was opened up this year and all the WebCams on the mountain. If Sun Valley is the number one resort in the country this year then act like one.

Even this field has invisible tax. Fix the user interface, make the front panel interface customizable to use her preferences. Insert the mount report back on the main page. Went off and checked the top and bottom temperatures

This could and should be a leading edge ski app. Someone needs to take charge of it and make it so.

Removed lift access and history for users. The app is now less useful than just using the website.

Miss the tracking /sign in. No Day’s skied, vertical, find friends. Older version had more functionality.

Please update so we can log in and track our ski days virtually such as the Aspen Snowmass app allows.

Take this down until it can be Sun Valley 5 star quality.

Lift and trail status doesn’t work? Interface is nice

Why does the new snow in 24 hrs show 2 inches and 6 inches on the snow stake? C’mon now...what’s what?

The perfect app for exploring Sun Valley.

It is a good app. Some of the features don't work though and that can be frustrating. The run tracker's speed mapper is broken, and the profile has no meaning. All it does is just sit there and require you to make an account for no reason. The map also needs work, maybe adding the interactive map from the website in and then quit using google maps might help. I think that it needs work, but I have a feeling they will eventually figure it out.

Very intuitive. Easy to navigate app and the tracking feature is very cool.

This app adds little value and is a missed opportunity. No golf t-times, The contacts don't include the bell desk or the golf course, the weather forecast has no temperatures ... Not a keeper, too bad, seemed promising.

Good app. Nice to have the map on your phone. Run tracker is a little off. Never use to be.
