Love the new look and feel of the app - super simple to buy or reserve a seat on a surf air flight as well as check out cool experiences they’ve put together.
Using iOS 10. App fails to load every time. Have cleared all applications and cache to no avail. Forced to use the mobile browser version which works perfectly. The company overall is fantastic, 10 out of 10, but unfortunately my instance of this app is not working properly.
You must pay for a $2500 annual membership before you can get a minimum $750 flight from the SF Bay Area to LA. Don’t waste your time. They also ruined Blackbird in their acquisition, and have yet to transfer over or reimburse my $400 in credits from that platform. Disgraceful!
Great Service, decent app, but I believe in SurfAir
First off, I would like to say how estatic I was upon hearing that SurfAir was creating an iOS app, it was one of the deciding factors for me to jump on board because of how unreliable a responsive web version can be. I'm not blown away by any means of the overall UI/UX but it gets the job done, as a UI designer I won't go into too much detail but there is plenty of room for growth. However, it's great to have the flexibility to see your trips at a glance without having to worry so much on connectivity, plus having the same functionality of the web at your fingertips is exactly what I needed. The refreshing of your flights is a bit wonky, I was expecting something similar to the native pull down where it shows you a "syncing" icon to let you know all the information is current. Otherwise, a good MVP attempt to an already great and reliable transportation service. Really looking forward to new updates, and hopefully an earlier flight into Oakland from Burbank :)
You have to pay a membership in order to pay again for flights you want? The acquisition of blackbird was the worst thing for bb, I loved using blackbird but I think surf air ruined it. Surf air doesn’t even have an android app! What year is this? And what happened to my blackbird credits??? I don’t even understand this business model. Sad ex-blackbird customer.
