The previous library app worked well on the iPad. This new version is really just the iPhone version and looks ridiculous on the iPad. It doesn’t turn landscape, and doesn’t fit the screen even in portrait. It’s a fail for me
It’s honestly not too bad. I like that the home page has all the info I need within a single click. From a perspective of inclusion, I like that almost every every option has an image or an icon paired with the word. This makes the app feel more user-friendly. I wish the TCCL library system tracked my checkouts for longer than when I “opted-in” but that’s a separate issue. 4/5 stars 👍🏻
Previous versions of apps the library used worked well but we can’t figure out how to actually download and listen to any audiobooks. This is the primary use we have for the app.
Wow. This app is a literal downgrade in every way imaginable compared to the Overdrive/Libby app. Luckily, Libby has a web app at libbyapp.com so I can uninstall this, but unless they remake this app from the ground up, I can’t ever see myself giving it a rating higher than 1 star.
