Teachers are having problems with glitches and difficulty adding in comments and photos compared to the previous system we used. The app is flooded with pics and vids of other messages and basically junk. I’d they want to post it for the few parents who want enrichment ideas then make it a separate tab that doesn’t block the space I want to use to see and read about my kid during the day. The audio for videos doesn’t work in the app. I can only play it through the video on my email. I can’t easily download videos. I have to go through the emails instead. I can’t comment on specific pics or vids. I don’t get notifications for when a teacher or director messages me back. My settings are set to allow all notifications. The end of day report has a daily schedule listed with a morning activity recommendation, how is that useful if I get it at night time? I’ve only been using this app for a month and dreading the change due to the poor reviews. The school must have gotten a sweet money deal to make the decision to switch over from a highly rated app to this sad one. Shameful
If I could give this app no stars I would. We use it only because the school chose it so there’s no other option. For starters, why is the home page cluttered like a social media app? Why is it suggesting games, videos, and giving me parenting tips? I don’t care. Then, why is there a whole library of low quality e books that you can barely see (if they even open)? Come on dev team, get real. Nobody is using those. Then, why is every daily report, photo, and school memo all lumped into one “memories” section only sorted by chronological order? I mean good grief at the very least separate out the useful information. The reports are the only reason any parent uses an app like this but to find them you have to comb through all the nonsense. I don’t even bother with the app unless I have to send a message to the teachers, otherwise the reports get emailed to me and I just see them there.
As a teacher, I’m extremely disappointed that I can’t use the app as well. I have to be logged in to the website to see or send messages. I don’t have time during the school day to keep logging into the website, so I miss messages from my parents. I would much rather have push messages sent to my phone through an app so I could quickly check them. If I want to send pictures to my parents, I have to take the picture, mail it to myself, download it to the computer, then upload it to the site. And I can only send one picture per message. It’s far too time consuming. I would also like a stream where I can see a list of messages sent to the whole class. It’s too time consuming to check each child’s list individually. If my district didn’t make me use this app, I would be using ClassDojo. It’s so much more user friendly.
This app is so sooo bad. I was encouraged to download this app by my child’s teachers at daycare. I periodically get notifications that things have been uploaded by his teachers, but I can’t find them anywhere. I get error messages when I try to click on the 2 videos that have been there since I downloaded it or try to change any of my settings. It is perpetually stuck on November 2022 and won’t let me change the date. In addition to the notifications, I have gotten emails that the teachers have uploaded particular things and I can’t find any of it. I’m not sure why I even keep this on my phone. I don’t doubt the daycare paid some sort of money to this company and I regret that for them. I wouldn’t recommend this app to anyone.
We are stuck with this app because my child’s preschool uses this to share pictures, videos and messages. The pictures and videos are a pain to view in this app (cannot zoom properly) and extremely painful and require multiple attempts to be able to download! Cannot hear anything in the videos in the app- though you can hear them if you are able to download on your local phone. Since we cannot hear anything in the videos in the app, the videos that has other kids are useless because we cannot download it due to “security” features! I think most undergrad software students can build better apps today!
Was great when first downloaded it in August. But since the last update I now can not see any of the messages my sons teacher sends. I will get the notification that have new message but can not view in the app. My husband also is having the same issue on his iPhone as well. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon so I can communicate with his teacher this is very important since we are all online right now.
Would be helpful if it displayed when child is clocked in and out on the daily report. It posts it the day of but no other place to keep track. Most daycares charge if you’re over hours or miss clocking your child in/out.
I used my Apple ID to log in and it defaulted to hiding my email. Because of that, the app can’t recognize which child is mine and it is useless. I don’t know how to reset that choice and I can’t seem to log in easily with google or just email password combo either. Too frustrating. I give up after multiple tries
The worst company and app ever, no wonder our school is moving to another platform. They show low res images and there is no option to download everything!!!!!! You have to go in one by one to download images and forget about what teachers wrote about your child. Tell the school to avoid this company at all cost!
I’m new to this app and i can’t sign in it’s saying my child isn’t registered but then i can sign in on the website, i don’t have time to use the website to check and see if any updates has been made with my child’s school, this is really not user friendly. I wouldn’t give any stars if that was an option
I set up my account using my email address and created a password. Then try to login. I input my email address and then it removes the password field and replaces it with a button to sign in through Google. I do not want to link my Google account to this app. I already set it up with a password. Terrible design.
We get alerts to view our son’s activities at school on the app and nothing appears on the app. This happens over and over and over again. It is super frustrating and very difficult to find the logins to the correct portal on web, which we have to use, because the app is so terrible.
I’m not able to pull up anything in the app. Can’t even log in. I have an iPhone 11 so I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it but I can only log in from the website on my computer.. it definitely takes the convenience out for me..
Hello, I would like to know if the conversations I have with the teacher are private on this platform or if other parents can see what is being discussed.
This is the worst! Why to have an app when you than need a computer to go on the website to be able to see important things like “report card”. I don’t even know why in the world my daughter’s teacher uses this 🤦♀️
Reports take hours to post, layout is disorganized and not specific to my child at all. Reeks of corporate marketing as opposed to reporting and monitoring of my child’s day and what they’re actually being educated on. Disappointed my child’s school has switched to this app.
everytime i open the conversation it just goes all the way to the top and in the middle of typing it just sends it by itself when i was still typing. when i hit enter it just goes all the way of the top of the conversation. it’s a nice app to keep the convo between parents and teacher but i feel like this should be fixed
Pretty sure this app has been hacked. Just got 20 emails with the same message within 3 minutes. Then the link says it doesn’t recognize my email - which isn’t even my email.
Hi, I am a coach. I would like to have access to this app in order to coach the teachers and their families on how to use this app. There is app not coaching friendly for the teachers to support the families. The teachers cannot access the app in order to walk the families to use it.
From signing up to using, this is the worst developed app, makes simple functions extremely cumbersome, very user unfriendly. I’m very well versed in operating and using web based technology so the problem is not me. Very bad!
Day 1 parent use: 1. Login issues to mobile app 2. Login to desktop successful but very limited access to features and it directs you to use mobile app. Mobile app not functioning correctly.
I get notifications that my child’s teachers have posted updates or sent messages and can’t view any of it. Can’t access my settings. Honestly a nightmare.
The app shuts down every time I attempt to click on a thumbnail picture. I would love to be able to check in on my child but can not. I hope my daycare switches to a different app
Hello, This is not a friendly app for communicating with my child’s teacher. One cannot tap the -return- button to begin a new paragraph because it sends message automatically.
It’s 2022 and this is what we have? The app malfunctions, emails with links about your child send you to the App Store… really wish my school didn’t have a contract with this company. Dojo is so much better
The app was ok when I only had one kid. But now it is stuck on one kid and I can’t see anything being sent to me about my other kid. Very disappointed.
I wish my preschool would not use this app as it is terrible! It’s slow, and impossible to look at old messages that get sent. I miss using DailyConnect!!!!
I downloaded the update and now the messages area won’t work. It’s completely blank. So frustrated since I can’t see any messages from the teacher now. Useless.
When the app works it’s fine. It shows the content, albeit, the interface and format is not great. My issue is that I can never get logged in! It only works intermittently. Really needs a major update.
This app badly needs an overhaul; it’s so bad it’s almost insulting. I can log in fine, but I can only look at one PDF or picture before the app freezes and prevents me from doing anything. Clearly this company cares mostly about selling its cruddy software to schools and does not care one bit about the parent experience. I’ve emailed their support people and no reply. You’ll also notice they haven’t responded to any of the issues people complain about here. If you are a school trying to decide whether to buy this software, please do not. There are many vendors who care about their customers and actually hire developers to make usable products that are updated regularly.
When trying to log in to this app, after entering my email, it forces me to login via Google. I did not sign up via Google as I hate linking my accounts together, Google does not need access to my child’s info. I can’t even enter my password that I created via the website, my only option is to log in via Google.
When I log in I can see her name perfectly fine but that’s all that’s on the screen. No photos or ways to share the work she’s been doing I hope it can get better because she really misses you guys😊
I can’t even log in but literally NEVER been trying for a month already and nothing. I really would love to see my child’s school pictures and his day by day pictures 🤷🏻♀️
