Thunkable Live

I am not a computer scientist or developer by training. I am an engineering professor and I use Thunkable often. It is very easy to use and the concept of block coding resonates with students from 2nd grade to PhD (non CS) students. I deeply value the open source concept and I always promote Thunkable to others when appropriate

Thunkable Live has truly transformed my app development projects! The real-time preview feature has made the development process incredibly smooth, allowing me to see changes instantly. The added convenience of running the iPad version on my Mac is a game-changer, providing an all-in-one device experience. It's like having a coding wizard in my pocket! I highly recommend it for anyone diving into app development on the iPad.

At first, the app worked fine. I was able to test my apps well enough, although sometimes background images wouldn’t load, and I would have to close and reopen the app every time I wanted to refresh the app. But now I accidentally navigated to a “create a delay” tutorial screen and I simply cannot back out. I’ve restarted the app, deleted, and reinstalled it and still immediately navigates to this screen and it’s impossible to back out to my projects. Major shame. I’m on iPhone XR update 13.3.1 and I’ve heard this version doesn’t work well and I can believe it. This app needs a serious fix.

So recently I have been using a data base to make an app on thunkable. I was using the lists variable and my goal was to list the specifc objects in the data base on the list. The problem is, the lists aren't showing the information and I have tried everything. Their docs don't help to much either. I think that if they put a little more time in polishing their different variables when they released them, they would have a better user experience

When I first started using thunkable for school, all was well. Until about 5 days into my experience I started being unable to preview any if my UI, which made my UI and UX and complete mess. It was fine after I restarted my browser and computer multiple times, hit it won’t stop happening and I’m qite frustrated. For what it is, it works. It’s a great concept and I’d suggest using it when a child graduates from scratch, but it’s just *so buggy*! It frequently crashes…

my phone screen size is a lot smaller than the newer phones, I appreciate thunkable still support my phone model! If you get remove the top and bottom bar, my app will look less squished.

Everything is amazing it works and functions like it says it will hit the only thing are the top and bottom bars. It makes my app look very squished and small. But other than that it’s an amazing app!

Thunkable is the most user friendly free cost app builder ever! And the way it keeps adding new features all the time and makes it easy for us is the best! I love this so much and I recommend everyone uses it!

I use Thunkable a lot but there are so many bugs in the app like when I enter the screen it just turns white like nothing is there and on computers the navigation is the worst it doesn’t even allow to scroll with your mouse and a suggestion is to make it allow to copy a set of blocks

I have created an account on Thunkable with my Mac on Google. I created 1 app and when I try to live test it does not allow and a notification pops up saying “Page unresponsive”. So I decided to download the Thunkable live app on my iPad live test on it but the second I opened it showed the sign in options and live test option and almost immediately showed a blank page with a loading icon on it.

Hi! I have used thunkable for a little bit now. I am using an Iphone 12 mini, so every time I preview an app on my phone, it looks squished. Maybe you guys could optimise the app for the iPhone 12 mini/13 mini. Other than that, the app is great and the new UI looks great. Hopefully y'all see this 🤞

I love Thunkable! It is so easy to use and this app makes it easy to test you app that you are building! Thunkable makes it so easy to build an app even if you don’t have the experience or that right materials to make one by yourself.

on the bottom of the screen there is a congrats your project is live pop up and a check out tutorials if you need help pop up also on the bottom, otherwise a fine app

It’s awesome that you can see the changes you make on the thunkable platform instantly on the app. Really helps speed up my development process

There is not more of the fullscreen ui that existed before some updates. I still wish you can test app in the fullscreen ui it the shake to exit functions. Overall, it’s a great app for Thunkable and the many components that have! 😊

Awesome helper in building apps! I can test each functionality and check how the UI/UX looks/feels like in real time. Definitely a must have tool when building apps on Thunkable.

Thunkable is a great application. All my apps are easy to create and useful. But there’s one thing you should add. I add dark mode functions to my apps and I think you should add a dark mode compatibility feature.

I have tried multiple other Application makers and this is the first one that allowed me to make the App I wanted! Looking forward to continuing to improve my App as I continue to work with Thunkable!

Though it’s doesn’t reload the app after changes on other computer’irt has minimal storage space and installation time while still looking ok

Great app but there is a glitch that I am currently experiencing. When I sign in, all I see is a white screen. I’m unable to click anything🙁. Can this be fixed? Thanks!

Lovely simple app. Easy way to track it. You can still find more things to track.

Thunkable makes it SO EASY to build apps. The Thunkable Live app makes it easy to test your app, I very recommend using Thunkable and Thunkable Live to build your next app.

This is a good app for people who are new to app development and have no coding knowledge. Would love to see more training videos that address a variety of scenarios and work arounds.

Please let us view our apps in fullscreen. I love Thunkable otherwise, but this is a particularly important feature that’s missing currently.

When i’m on this app it’s fine, except when i get out and come in, it doesn’t save what i did before.

This app is a great tool for students to use for building and testing their apps.

It’s a good app but when I use it images won’t load for whatever reason

Awesome being able to create and view my own app! Not perfect, but it works

First of all it won’t let me in and when I get in it keeps telling me to reset the page but every time I reset it it always keeps saying to reset or exit creators yall really gotta fix this (I have a new iPhone I have an iPhone 12)

A few kinks but otherwise great system.

It would b very helpful if the BLE Blocks could be tested on an iPhone and not just androids

It would be nice if it worked. Unfortunately to get through a tutorial was nearly impossible because it loads blank menus or does not respond to user input at all at times. Navigation of the app does not work.

I love this app and I can build my dream app. It is cross platforms and I can preview my project as web now. This is awesome!
