Great local paper.

I’ve been reading the Record for years. The paper edition has priced itself out of my price range though. So this would be the next best alternative.

Are used to live in orange county and I just checked now to see local stories and obituaries I’m older now than I was when I left.

USA Today offers a good national outlook. Local features and connections are useful

Well thought out newspaper

This is a real local newspaper and they do a trrrific job on the local scene.

Harder to read

This app is smaller and the blue page turner are blocking the article. The older app was better the new one is to narrow and is just poorly designed. The old is easier to read on a iPhone. I really don’t like its design Please make improvements.

You have to pay now

Moved out of the area a year or so ago. This was a good way to keep in touch with the Hudson Valley. I guess I have to truly leave it behind now. I am assuming advertising and print issues were not enough income, now you have to pay a monthly or yearly fee to use app. Farewell Hudson Valley

ZERO STARS

This app is ridiculous. Every time I scroll threw the articles, the app suddenly mixes them up and I have to start over and hope I can find where I left off. This not only happens with news articles but with obituary notices. I’m deleting the app.

July 2023 updates

Recent changes to the digital edition slow the app down and fail at login every day.

Fails all day long

This app keeps failing to connect and keeps failing to recognize me. But it takes my money without issue. I have to keep resetting passwords. It will not Family Share. I cancelled my subscription.

It's Okay

Used to be a better paper a long time ago. I do appreciate the app. So thanks for the convenience of that.

Delete!!! Not going to pay for this when so many other news that are way better are free!

This App is no different than the unreliability of their home delivery, prepay for six months of home delivery and lucky to receive a newspaper twice a week, multiple complaints have fallen on deaf ears.... “NO ACCOUNTABILITY “ !

I really, really miss the old t-h record. Time for a new newspaper in the tri state area. This is not acceptable. Where are the local reporters? Bring back Oliver Mackson. Bob hargabus Middletown N.Y

Attractive app, but…

The apo is beautifully designed, and works well. But I have problems with it. First, there's a section for "Top Stories" and another one for "News," and — as I use the app each day — I'm not clear about what the paper thinks the difference is. More important, all news stories are given equal play in the way the app is laid out. Not so in the print paper! There it's clear what the two or three big stories are. And the layout makes me want to read them. Here, everything seems equal, and so I might not read important stories, just because the headline doesn't grab me. (And it's even worse on the paper's website, where stories just one paragraph long get equal play with really big ones.)

Awful App

This could be the worst news app out there. There is no search bar to look stories up with, the world news feed never has any "content" in it, and the other sections are mostly worthless and jumbled. Typical of how the print edition has diminished in quality, this app looks as though it was hastily assembled, with no thought of how the reader should navigate it, and more concerned with cost. It's something you might've seen 11 years ago as news apps were beginning to develop. You're better off with the local cable news station app.

No coverage in TRI-STATE area.

The MR coverage of the MIDDLETOWN area and east seems to have very good coverage while Pike County as almost no coverage. Some one was injured at the Cliffs over the Delaware River in WESTFALL Township. Road was blocked for awhile. Never heard sword about on the MR website. Many other traffic accidents in the area are not covered. I hope they are in the printed addition. Where are the advertising you see in the printed addition, not on line

This is a great app. Have subscribed to the Kingston Freeman newspaper for years and years. What a rag of a paper that has turned out to be. Thank you for your great job on local news and sports.

Very buggy shuts down randomly

Ok for the stories but buggy. Will shut down randomly. Find the same thing happens with New York daily news app. Wonder why Keeps you up to date with local stories ok. A left of center opinion and editorial page. But that's ok.

Subscription?

Why is there a subscription for this news agency? There's never anything up to date worth subscribing. I hear updates on the other news agencies before I'd hear any up to date news on this app.

Poor connection parameters

I used to be able to connect. Now it doesn't load. I have to re-try 2-3 times. Annoying. Please fix it.

It's great to now have easier access to the Record, but the app doesn't update its newsfeed.
