Love this app and have been using it for some time. One of the best things is the endless opportunities to complete surveys. They never cut you off, which is great, because, yes, there are many you don’t qualify for, or that don’t work on your device. But, with so many being offered, rarely have I ran out. So, as a casual survey app, it will take time and patience. But if you are bored, and wanna commit, the points will accumulate and some of the surveys are fun. HOWEVER…my biggest gripe are the rewards. When you go to cash in your points, and submit your request, 9 out of 10 times it will be rejected or returned 5-7 days after “processing.”Customer service is good, and your points are always returned, but it is frustrating to go through the process multiple times to obtain it. But keep in mind, at least your points are valid for one year. Regardless, I wish Toluna would work on having the rewards readily available upon point redemption, and not so much a chance on redeeming the award in a timely fashion, based on if Toluna has it available or not. Great app, and will continue to enjoy using, but just wanted to give Toluna a heads up on its biggest problem for both old and new users.
This app is without a doubt the dirtiest app i’ve ever used they will make you answer surveys for hours and hours only to cheat you out of points and never give them to you even if you manage to collect the points needed to cash them out you won’t be able to and one more thing 4000 points are equivalent to 5 RM or 1 USD which is a joke . Stay smart .. don’t fall for smart scams .
It’s easy to navigate and it works well-enough, not saying it’s the best as I had to repeatedly hit the circle for it to understand I’m selecting that option instead of wanting to view the photo, but most of the times, it works well. I read a review here that there are errors with the surveys, but I thought that was only in the beginning, like you cannot enter, but I was able to enter and thought they resolved the issue. However, even worse than not being able to start, is not being able to finish. I was half-way through the survey (according to the time), and it suddenly told me, « there is an error ». Like wow. Thank you for wasting my time. And they don’t have a save button or anything, they just simply tell you to « retake the survey ». It’s one thing to do another survey even if it was for an hour and completing it, but repeating the same survey that takes approximately 30minutes. No, thank you. Sorry, but I deserve to get what I worked for, even if half of it, as it isn’t my fault you cannot save live answers or allow people to save their current results. Also, it’s not like I kicked myself out :).
After not using the app for awhile, I received an email stating “We miss you…” in the title. It offered a campaign of up to 9000 points if I completed 3 surveys in 21 days. I figured why not jump back in. I did more than the 3 required surveys in a week. But no points. I sent an email and was told I needed to wait for the 21 days to end. Day 22, still no points. I sent another email and was told I had to wait for the campaign to end. It’s not been 25 days and no bonus points. I find it odd and unprofessional to give the survey takers a deadline, but not a deadline for when your campaign will end. I feel you hope the survey taker will forget about the points after waiting so long. I like this app for the surveys and process they use. But this bait and switch campaign is not showing any respect to the people doing the surveys. It definitely doesn’t show that they ‘missed me’ as stated in the email luring me back into using the app.
Been using 2-3 weeks. Only have 27,000 points. Not enough to get anything yet and do 2-3 daily. I left a review already about answering 15-20 questions and getting a reply that they are looking for a different profile. They responded about this being normal depending on what the company is looking for. I get that but seems they could figure that out in 5 questions. Waste of 5 or more minutes and get nothing. Just tonight I am 10 minutes into a 20 minute survey and get a message an unexpected error has occurred. BAM! Crashes. 10 minutes of my time for nothing and no points. This has happened at least five or six times. Unless you have a lot of time on your hands to do this for hours, it will take forever to get a $10 gift card.
I caved and downloaded the app despite the terrible reviews. I was a Toluna member years ago and saw activity on my social media and was excited to know this site was still around. I created an account completed a few surveys through Safari and would close the app pop up. After downloading the app I was already logged in and mid survey would be asked to log in or after 20 minutes of a survey (because let’s be serious if we take our take our time and read questions it takes longer than the estimated time) I’d get the the “you are almost done” page and could not click continue. I contacted customer services and now my account is locked. I can’t log into the app or online. Stick with taking surveys in your web browser. I just lost out on so many rewards hopping it was a glitch. This site was my favorite years ago and I got so excited when I came across it again.
If I could give zero stars I would! I spent hours answering surveys, racking up points. Every time I would attempt to redeem the points I’d receive an email saying they couldn’t process it. After multiple attempts to reach customer service they still have not helped. Well to top it off after not receiving anything for my work my account was deactivated!!! I was truthful constantly in my answers. I got no explanation, I lost ALL my earnings, it was a complete waste of time!! Be warned they will kick you off at any time and not give you a reason or your hard earned rewards! Do not use this site try a better company. I’m seeing a lot of people have the same issue. The app is also junk, constantly freezing or dropping me from a survey and I wouldn’t gain those points. Their customer service is no help. Complete waste of time!
Constant errors on the app. What’s the point to either finish or partially finish a long survey to only get an error message and no points for your time? And then take extra time to keep reporting it? That’s not fair at all. Otherwise it’s ok. Update: Response from the developer is to let them know the details of the numerous errors(s), but like I said the time it takes to document which survey, what issues etc is not the customer’s job. Your team needs to get it together not put the burden on the customers! Very unfair. Your IT dept has the ability to track everything. Since they’re not doing that, hire an outside IT firm to solve your issues. Also since you’ve known about this problem for a while clearly indicated by previous comments, you obviously just don’t care
As I expected, this app doesn’t just give away money after taking one of two surveys. You have to be dedicated and take many surveys before you make enough points to redeem. The prizes are cool, though and look like they’re worth working for. However, whenever I am willing to take surveys, I get rejected more than I get to take surveys. The surveys that are available are always looking for a narrow demographic of people which makes it hard for me to earn points. Developers should work to match users with surveys they can actually take, so we don’t have to waste our time answering a few questions just to be told we don’t fit the demographic they’re looking for.
I would give them zero reviews if I could. I always answered the questions truthfully and never post anything. I was kicked out of my account and lost almost 150,000 points. This was their explanation - Toluna is always vigilant in maintaining our community’s integrity. Unfortunately, during our regular reviews we’ve noticed issues with your account and survey activity that could negatively impact the integrity of our processes. Our system has detected that you were performing an activity that contradicts information provided in your member profile or is not in line with our terms. As such, the panelist rights for this account have been suspended from our site and your earnings have been forfeited due to the violation of our Terms and Conditions.
I had an initially good impression of this app, because I was able to take a lot of surveys and get a couple lower level gift certificates. However, once I got hooked up with a few higher, paying surveys, I suddenly found that the lower level over rewards were always out of stock. I then began saving up to get a larger reward, only to find on the eve before I was due to cash in that my account was not accessible. Back-and-forth with customer service, which was not very responsive initially, suddenly declared that I had somehow violated their rules and forfeited my points. If you search here you will find many other people with the same experience. Don’t waste your time here, I’ve also filed a complaint with the FTC.
Toluna is a horrible website/app. I’ve been dedicated to taking surveys and they deactivated my account the first time for no reason. After getting it resolved they gave me my account back, and for a second time they locked me out of my account again. They said because I don’t follow their survey policy correctly, but I answer all surveys as truthfully as I can. This company is a complete scam for dedicated people who use their service. I wouldn’t trust them if I were you, don’t listen to what they say. I had over 96,000 points in my account from hours of answering surveys, and now that is all gone because they took away my account without any sort of warning. DONT USE THIS!!! Use another survey site and tell others about how HORRIBLE TOLUNA IS.
I estimate it takes more than FIVE full hours to get a $10 gift card, assuming you actually get credit for the surveys you complete. Not exactly a big reward. My biggest survey is (not surprisingly) still “pending” after nearly two weeks, while small surveys chave no problem clearing almost immediately. So after 2hrs of credited surveys, and another 30+ minutes of as-yet-uncredited surveys, I’m about $4 towards a $10 gift card. And that doesn’t count the nearly 30min I’ve spent partially filling out multiple surveys, only to be told after wasting several minutes of my time on each one, that I don’t fit the criteria. So that’s 30min with ZERO points to show for it. Don’t waste your time or effort.
I spent hours and hours of my time getting disqualified for most surveys AFTER I took half of the survey sometimes almost all of it. Then I finally had enough points for a reward and I still haven’t received it days later. Total joke and complete waste of time. UPDATE TO YOUR RESPONSE: Oh right it is the “quality” of the data. You have tons and tons of bad reviews I wish I read them before I wasted all of that time. Clearly YOU are the problem so don’t try to make up excuses or blame the user. I would never work for a company that does that to people. Says a lot about you! Since you wanted to come at my “quality”. It should not take HALF OF THE SURVEY before they disqualify you period and you know it.
After patiently dealing with all of the glitches in the system, errors when partially through a survey and sometimes the “sorry you weren’t a match” after several questions deep into a 2 minute survey they lied and stated some of my information wasn’t truthful. The time and energy spent to earn enough points to qualify for rewards and then to be booted from the app is infuriating. Any questions answered that didn’t align with my profile was when it requested a family member complete the continued portion of a survey. Check your survey questions Toluna before throwing out this ridiculous excuse. I should have gone with my gut once I got the first dozen glitches in the app. Pure scam.
Made an account. Started taking surveys and I was on a roll. Only got to do it for a couple of days before I tried to log back into my account that was logged out for some reason. Couldn’t log back in. Couldn’t reset my password. Contacted customer service and was told my account was flagged for inconsistencies and I could no longer use it? All of the information I had entered was valid. I tried to set up a new account so I could try again. Next day I could no longer get into that account either. I’m done. I’ll stick with the other apps and sites that don’t waste my time and take away my earnings for some obscure reason.
I’m not usually one to give bad reviews but to be brutally honest, this app s*cks. They randomly decide not to award you points after you legitimately earned them. Two of my surveys have been in pending status for two weeks now. I took one of their premium surveys and after I completed it, I get this message: Something Broke. That’s it. No further explanation, not even a partial award of the promised points. This after 20 minutes! I like to flip between different survey apps so that things don’t get stale and they don’t start denying me because I’m taking too many surveys. Out of all the apps I use, Toluna is the absolute worst. Just awful.
This app and company is a complete and total scam. I signed up months ago and began taking TONS of surveys. Even spent my 4th of July holiday weekend doing a separate survey for bonus points. The last few days I haven’t been able to log into my account. Tried contacting customer service several times to which they were no help. This morning they tell me my account is suspended for violating rules with no response or explanation. I had well over 100 dollars worth of points that was for nothing and I no longer have access to. You do the work and they don’t pay out. Try survey junkie. They at least pay out.
I just needed a survey to make cash as a full-time student and this pandemic makes life difficult. I thought this app was honest, gave my 4 hours of my time but after completing surveys no points were granted but a message of no match will be shown, after completing a survey, it's so unfair. We are entering the new year 2022, do better!
I love the app, but I do have a few issues with how smoothly it runs. On a few sort of increasing occasions the app will not let me proceed with the survey, it seems to get stuck or freeze in the middle especially if there is a multiple choice section or if there is a video you have to minimize during its viewing. This is becoming frustrating as I try to take as many surveys a day as I can, maybe something can be done about this?
*warning* I feel like Toluna just stole my information. My account was suspended because “details at registration couldn’t be verified though regular validation channels.” Not really sure what that means, but I had completed over a dozen surveys that I’ll see no return on. Feels kinda weird to me. ***I have corresponded with toluna and they gave me the shoulder shrug, for anyone who has received a response that says to reach out to customer service. The person I corresponded with said they couldn’t verify my address, where I’ve lived for over a decade. Please don’t freely hand your information to this company.
I just tried taking a survey in THIS APP only to be told my browser is not compatible with the survey and that I should re-open it in safari. Really? I’m in the APP! How is the app not compatible with the survey? Also, I often get this glitch that says I need to verify my email, which I have already done. It glitches on and off throughout the day and it won’t allow me to take surveys when it’s glitching. I hope this all gets sorted out.
I’ve already just started out and I think this is a pretty decent app, except, sometimes I’ll see a survey and it’ll say “you aren’t what we’re looking for” or something like that, can you guys like find surveys that I can actually do instead of taking up space with these surveys that I can’t even do? I really like this survey though and I’d love to take it but I can’t. Please help.
Is this app a scam? I downloaded the app, took some surveys over the course of a few days and then my account got banned. I tried to converse with Toluna about what happened and they gave me this incredibly vague/wishy-washy answer about “integrity” and “fraudulent behavior patterns”. I don’t believe them. I utilize a wide variety of survey apps and panels and have never had this issue. In fact, some of the apps I use actually host Toluna surveys, which I’ve taken many times before and been paid for. I would stay away from this app, it’s not worth the risk.
This app is a scam! Everything was working perfectly fine until I received a certain amount of points. I went back to do more surveys one day and my account was logged out. The app also wasn’t allowing me to report this problem so I had to go to an old thread in my email to even contact them. They claim my account was flagged and can’t be used anymore because my information couldn’t be verified but I’ve be using the app for days now. I’m so upset! I spent so much time doing surveys and now they’re not wanting to payout. I wish I could give them 0 stars!
I constantly take surveys and I found out I don’t qualify after I take the survey for no reason. I can spend 15 to 20 minutes and find out that I’m not qualified it. I get this photo that says “I’m sorry, it’s not you, it’s me”. What is the point of doing these if the company asking for our opinion doesn’t reward us with our time. I am disappointed. I am bedridden with a broken hip and have all the time to help. I can find another survey company that can value my time.
Majority of these surveys glitch. They start over, stay stuck or insist you haven’t selected an answer when you definitely have. Most of the emails I get for surveys are “already filled” or they’ll be a pop up saying “I’m not the qualifying group they’re looking for” of course it’s after I spend my time entering like 10 questions about my info that they already know from the profile I created. Since trying this app, I’ve been swamped with spam texts/calls and emails. Hopefully I’ll save someone the regret that I have.
This is a honest to god review. Almost every survey ends in some kind of error. It always says it their fault not yours. If the survey doesn’t have a problem you get have way through it and it either says survey just filled up or just quits and that’s b/c you weren’t the type of person they were looking for. But it took me forever but I finally got to pick a reward it’s really not what I wanted but I’m so over this Toluna app I just picked to plant a tree in Peru just so I can move on and get away from this app.
Very easy to use very simple and very fast to sign up Recmended to try this company out for free and I have no spam or any problems or issues with the app or site thanks for making this app for free and so much better than other in my opinion
In addition to the above comments about needing to spend hours to get a reward being true, good luck qualifying for surveys: 1. Surveys are about 200 to 1200 points, most 15 to 20 mins. You need like 30,000 points to get small gift cards ($10) 2. You put in all sorts of data on your profile but I still have to waste time doing pre-survey questions for NO reward. 3. I’m a female in my early 40’s and I have never qualified for a single survey. I probably spend a couple hours doing questionnaires and being denied over a couple weeks.
How can you ever earn points when you get rejected for half or more of the surveys. For example if feels y’all discriminate on maybe things like bc someone’s on disability they don’t qualify for surveys to earn points to get money. Not everyone on social security can’t shop, use the internet some ppl are on disability who were intelligent and worked until for ex cancer stops her. But I still am not to old or to sick or to poor to take surveys.
Even after several months of other reviews complaining of bugs and emailing the company itself, they repeatedly send canned responses back from trigger words in the email sent. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I fully expect my account to be banned and my rewards to not be processed. Don’t waste your time with this app. More than half of their surveys bug out and will not let you complete them and several times will not load. I am not wasting my time anymore with them.
Not sure how this app got 4.5 stars if so many 1 star revies showing. I spent a lot of spare time doing different types of surverys they offered. Finally, I accumulated to 150,000 points to redeem a reward. The email mentioned it takes about 3 weeks to process; however, a day after I redeemed my points, my account got suspended. Therefore, I reached out to the customer service and they claimed I answered untruthfully, so my account got suspended and they cannot process the points I had for redeming the reward?! I found it’s a big scam app!!!

It’s a scam. Look them up on Better Business Bureau’s website. Every single review is a one star review. The cash out threshold is very high and once you attempt to cash out access to your account is denied. If you contact customer service, they say you were flagged for “irregular activity,” and if you ask whether you can contest it or get some kind of explanation you get this message, “Your earnings are now forfeited in agreement with our Site Terms. Thank you for your time with Toluna.”
App does what it says although not flawlessly Ive just downloaded the app and already have had multiple time I spend the time to finish a survey it redirects me back to the home page without giving me my points. It gives me the survey complete banner and everything just no points. It seems to be close to a 50/50 of whether I get my points or not. Developers please fix
I like this app so far, however it is extremely buggy. It doesn’t always load when I click on the app, it keeps asking for my email to be confirmed but I never get an email, the ai Luna doesn’t even work, and it is extremely slow.
This company is a scam! I completed hundreds of surveys. I accumulated over 35,000 points and chose the PayPal $10 reward. After waiting weeks I was told the reward couldn’t be processed and I would be refunded the points. At that time I would have had over 80,000 points. The next day I was unable to login to my account. After exchanging several emails with them trying to reset my password, I was sent an email saying that my account was suspended due to violating their Terms. Don’t waste your time on these surveys!
Used the app for a while cashed in for one gift card no problem. Then did an at home trial of a moisturizer for 2 weeks. Link never worked for follow up and they said sorry I can’t get the credit. Soon after my 2nd gift card request was denied and my account was closed. Support helped and got it unlocked stating my survey behavior was questionable. Someone in support unlocked it. I applied for the gift card again and it was returned and my account is locked again. So hours of surveys complete and no compensation. SCAM
I downloaded this app 3 days ago in hopes to make extra money as I have been impacted greatly by Covid-19. The app will crash and I lose my place in the survey and not get any points. It has done this consistently with 7 surveys. I have wasted two hours and not receive any points because the app crashed. In my opinion, do not waste your time doing the surveys. You probably won’t be able to finish the survey to even get your points. I’m deleting this app directly after posting this review. It’s a waste of time.
I spent many hours on surveys and was honest only to be logged out and given the run around. Prior to being kicked out, I requested two PayPal cards and they were declined, weeks later. When I asked for an explanation, I didn’t receive one. They keep giving me the same message in regards to why my account was logged out. I’ve been using other survey apps such as inboxdollars, Swagbucks, and survey junkie without any issues. Listen to the reviews and stay away from this app.
Skip this app. Save yourself the time and the hassle
Signed up on a browser and downloaded the app. They advertised $15/hour on Craigslist but there “weren’t any surveys available.” I spent a total of 15 minutes trying to familiarize myself with it and got 5 error messages. Frustrating is the word I’d use. I understand that it’s a new app but for a company that rewards users for product reviews you’d think they’d make sure the quality of their own service/platform was worthy of at least 4 stars.
Just like every other survey app, answer a bunch of questions before getting booted out of surveys for not being a right match or survey being too full. You have my info, you send me notifications for these “new” surveys, maybe my dashboard could have surveys I can actually take and not waste my time? Besides the rewards seem less worth it than most and it takes 3 weeks to get your $10
I really wish that there were smaller rewards for points at least over 3,000. All the rewards that are offered are only able to be received after getting a ludicrous amount of points, and it get disheartening when I am working really hard, but still have so much more to work towards. It’s almost insulting
While there seem to be loads of surveys, granted many I do not qualify for, I can never finish a survey I do qualify for. The app freezes, a next button stops working, a page doesn’t load, etc. The annoying part is if you’re not wanted for a survey- you still get points. Spend 20 minutes on a survey and it freezes- nothing. If the app were more reliable it would be great.
I spent about 3 weeks trying to qualify for surveys - probably about 4-6 a day. I’d get through almost all of the questions on the survey, sometimes spending 15-20 minutes actually doing to survey (not just the qualification questions) and I’d be kicked out for not qualifying or the survey was already filled up. I think the only points I got were the ones from the profile questions. Absolute waste of time. Do Zap, Equate, Survey Junkie, etc. literally any other site besides this one.
With the exception of some profile building surveys (which did not amount to any substantial points) I have not had any luck fitting the demographic for a single survey. I’ve been trying for months lol. I’ll get an email and then I’ll try it and always without fail I don’t get any points because after answering questions for a few minutes it tells me I don’t fit the demographic they’re looking for. Waste of time.
I downloaded the app. The only time I’ve received any points is for my profile set up. Every time I’m notified of a survey , I attempt to do it and get a “ you're not who we’re looking for” message. I’ve scored 3 stars, because I’m overly confident that eventually you’ll actually want my input on a survey. Being a Gen Xer basically means I’m invisible…
Don’t download! As a SAHM, I downloaded this app as a way to earn some extra spending cash on PayPal. As soon as I started cashing out, my account was suspended for no legitimate reason given and they uncredited my last $10 PayPal redemption. Apparently from Fb comments they do this to a lot of people. I’ve emailed them and unfortunately they don’t make things right after you’ve spent the time answering surveys, the suspend your account and call it justified. Don’t waste your time!
This app is not that worth it. Unless you will spend hours doing surveys. I don’t understand why I have to wait 3 weeks just for a gift card that the app should already have. It’s really wasting your time because you don’t receive your gift card right away. The app was ok but don’t recommend if you don’t like wasting your time trynna do surveys.
Started off good, like all the other apps. But then not only do they say “paypal may declined your payment request” which has never been an issue for ANY other survey app, which is already a red flag. But then they go the extra mile and suspend your account when you get enough to redeem again! And you lose all of your point and rewards. And they get to keep all your information. Go **** yourself! No good scammers!
