I like the course and I like the concept I wish for animation and to be able to play a video or listen on my headphones or anything like that because in today’s world adult students who are working and raising families which is probably 90% of this population there’s no time to just sit and read dry Texter so add some color add some animation here in there add the ability to be able to listen to some thing on headphones not just a computer voice in this you certify product will be awesomeAnd bang up!
When I press submit the panel just minimizes itself and there is no button to advance to the next question. Close the app and open again resets the ui, as soon as I click the answer and click submit again the panel minimizes to the bottom of the page again and there’s no way to make it go back to reveal the next and submit button again. Update: very responsive development team. Responded within 24hours and pushed an update addressing the issue. So first off thank you. Unfortunately the issue persists on IPhone SE 2. Same issue seems to happen with slightly less frequency. But I'm able to replicate it pretty consistently. Devs, I can send additional info via email if needed including a screen recording. Thank you Update 3: emailed developer and no response. Issue persists still on iPhone SE2 and newest iPad Pro. Emailed support with nonresponse. Pretty much makes it unusable for me. Hopefully they see this and fix it so I can change my rating.
This app is fine for studying on a phone, but my complaint comes about the ucertify interface on my Mac. Ucertify’s inability to be used with Mac text read aloud feature is perplexing. One should be able to utilize the keyboard shortcut (option, esc) to have the computer read aloud any highlighted text. Instead, one is forced to access the screen reader tech by way of these play/pause buttons on the side of the screen, and you’re forced listen to each block of text all at once, which is very difficult! To back up I have to refresh my screen and restart the read aloud for the block of text, which isn’t practical! It feels like there is some sort of security feature in place, which prevents the keyboard shortcut from working, perhaps resulting from each page’s inability to be copied and pasted from. If this is the case, then you all have some work to do to get this right. Because your text-reading accessibility features are totally bogus as they stand. I worked with the WGU help desk to get this issue resolved to no avail. I really hope you can get this fixed because I use the text read aloud feature all the time, except with uCertify, because your interface gives me these issues.
To be fair, my degrees and specialty is in business marketing, with customer engagement. with customer engagement. my sole problem with this app is I am an audio learner and it would not show that I read the book. If I only listen to it, now this would’ve been such a problem. however, I had to go into the webpage check each subchapter. In order to move forward with that being said process automation is a big deal to me and time is my most valuable asset. I feel that if you’re going to have an audio portion once I consume that information, I shouldn’t have to go into the program and check a box to say that I just did with the computer should’ve automated so either this is a grain of salt or a mountain. For me, it’s a mountain.
It’s and okay app for studying. The only downsides are when I try to highlight a section, I have to re-highlight 4-5 times and click the highlight symbol about 4-5 times in order for it to finally read. I think the symbol is too small or I’m not pressing it exactly in the right square. Either way, can you make highlighting more simpler. The other thing is when I finish a lesson, it says I didn’t finish it because the green bubble is not filled all the way up. So I have to click the three dots, click unread, then click read in order for it to say I finished the lesson. The green bubble feels unnecessary when I’m studying.
Like the UI but certain clickable areas result in a grey screen. Have to force close the app and load it again to get back where I was. The read tracking doesn’t work on some pages. Can even try manually marking all of the sections as read after going through them and yet the tracking still shows as unread. The old app would have white screens instead of grey screens but that was for certain activities that I am guessing were not compatible with the iPad. This app seems to load those fine. The grey screens in this case come after clicking on section titles or around it. Material is good but the interface is diminishing the experience.
I have had to delete the app and reinstall three times already. It looks like I will have to do it again. I cannot find a way to switch between multiple books without deleting and reinstalling the app. When I press sync, those little dots pop up and stays forever, so I have to delete and reinstall the app. This is my third day of using the app. First day of having two books on the same app if there is a right way of doing this, I need to know. Basically, it is a decent app with the book with a few minor flaws. But I need the other issues fixed first.
The dots take forever to turn green. Especially if it’s just a small paragraph. I read fast. I waste so much time sliding the screen to turn dots green Edit: apparently you can change the dots if you tap the bar. I was tapping the dot, which didn’t work. If I could use dark mode, would be 5 stars.
The app is very buggy. It freezes when syncing and can only be resolved by manually restarting the app. I’m constantly restarting the app, and have even uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. Using a web browser is better, but UCertify quality has changed over the past few years (it’s not as good as it used to be). My wife is having the same issues with a different training that she purchased, which is a shame, since I recommend UCertify to her after years of positive experiences. The quality is not what it used to be.
When I’m in any kind of practice test if I press the “submit” answer button half the time the whole bottom navigation minimizes itself. Have to swipe a specific area several times to make it reappear only for it to disappear again every time I try to press next or submit. I emailed support with a video and explanation of issue and no response or update for over a month. Unusable for me in current state. Latest iPad Pro and iPhone SE2 with latest version of app and IOS
Reading textbooks and modules for school couldn’t be easier or more responsive. Love the flexibility of this app opened on my iPhone, my iPad or my web browser on my laptop. Simple and easy to navigate to get to sections I need to read, review or even study. The flash cards, quizzes, and learning interactive abilities are awesome.
I honestly think this is just another skin with the more or less outdated features. My biggest concern is how much information is missing from the books compared to their website. On the bright side there’s less to read right? UI and Navigation is okay. My frustrations are not towards the developers, as they “could be” recent WGU graduates and just barely hanging on to the ropes. This app just needs improvements on the basics instead of outfitting with new looks.
Highlighting is slow and only works half the time. Listening works really well.
I like listening function, but highlighting is time consuming and doesn’t work most of the time along with not giving many options. Test, review, and quizzes are also a strong point.
Good app only complaints would be the listen/pause function for automated reading. It plays fine but when you hit the button again to pause it skips to the next section instead. Also there is no option to select exactly where you want to start listening from.
I got this app thinking I could do my Test Prep assignments for school at home without having to use my chrome book for it. However, when I try and use the Test Prep engine on my phone, it says something along the lines of “this is a customized session, cannot access” But when I go on my chrome book, I can do the Test Prep no problem. Pretty disappointed that I got locked out of the entire reason I downloaded the app.
Using it for Masters in IT Management. Test engine and dreamer are great. There could be better on-screen controls for the voiceover reader to control reading of sections and subsections the reading could stand a little review for pausing at periods, but the fact that I can have it read a page to me is awesome.
I could not figure out how to do labs from my iPhone - right click to open properties menu for example. This was the only limitation I ran across. If I’m able to and just couldn’t figure it out, please explain and I will change my rating to 5 stars.
This app is painfully unintuitive and constantly does things that make me wonder if there’s any QA team. For example, theres a swipe down feature next to the submit button. Can anyone guess how many times you accidentally swipe down the bottom bar instead of hitting submit? if you answered “most of the time”, you would be correct.
Great Learn Tool. The App allows for learning anywhere
This App has been so useful in allowing for progressive learning as well as passive without the need to remain seated or stationary. I take advantage simply just by reading a particular section at the gym to reinforce particular concepts
Love the fact that this app puts the entire e-book and features in my pocket. It is also fairly seamless. One qualm? Please make the highlighting functionality for intuitive and easier to access.
The latest version of UCertify Learn App works really well on my iphone 11. I use it for linking up with my college courses . The embedded videos and quizzes both work very well inside of the UCertify app. The bugs from the previous versions seems to have been fixed.
The GUI is better. The Knowledge Checks need to be more touch responsive. They don’t even show up on certain tablets; just comes up with a blank screen. As far as audio playback, users should be able to adjust speed and start/continue wherever they want on the page, not restart all the way to the beginning of a section.
So glitchy, especially the test/quiz functionality
I so badly want to study on my phone but ever since they switched their app around to this new version it’s unbearable and such a waste of time to even try. The practice tests and quizzes functionality does not work well. Pages constantly get stuck, and more than half the time the text of the quiz question goes off the screen with no way to scroll to view it.
I wish the reading voices didn’t sound like a computer. It would be awesome if it was more like audible. It would be easier to follow. I would like to be able to listen and follow along the book on walks, runs, and doing task around the house.
Dear Devs, before you say, “Please email us with more information on your specific problem.” No. The whole app is garbage on iOS. I’ve taken four courses so far that use uCertify, and each course’s interactive modules do not work. Every. Single. One. No time was taken to ensure functionality worked on iOS. I am going to keep reporting these occurrences as much as possible to my university and pray they drop uCertify as a platform.
Very responsive and tracks progress pretty well. Can’t do labs through the app which is understandable also unable to do most of the knowledge checks at the end of some sections
The practice test need I little fix in those question that you have to join or slide the words. Also in the practice test for mastering you should be able to choose the combinations of chapters to mastering
Some suggestions. A how to would be nice. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out tts. I didn’t see any instructions on the website or in the app. Also, can you please allow speed change for the videos? The guy speaks soooo slow. I’d like to speed it up a bit to get rid of the white space. Other than that it’s pretty good so far.
Abysmally poor synchronization between the app and the site. The delay in syncing will cause your progress to not get written and gets erased when you log in between mobile and desktop site. The UI is nice and I love dark mode but the syncing issue and discrepancy in accurate data presented in testing reports between platforms drags this app down considerably.
Love this app for studying and how it syncs with desktop. Would you like the ability to set more than one study reminder. My study time varies in the week vs weekends. Still great stuff.
Overall a pretty nice app for being able to read my textbook online. Lots of little bugs though. Reading not showing as read. Not being able to highlight words that are italic or bold. Practice questions not saving my answers.
The app is pretty decent for a college student on the go. The app of course has some kinks because nothing is perfect, but in my experience you just simply restart the app and you will be fine.
This this amazing app where you can learn a lot about the certification before to take a test, it will prepared you to past the exam. I will recommended this apps
They provide you material for a few months, and then lock out your account requiring more money to access materials you have already paid for. Every time I register for a course there are issues with getting it assigned to my account and I have to reach out to support. Poor design and could use much improvement.
Works well, but night mode colors need fixed. It is still bright, use a different black. Also, exiting a full screen video is frustrating, I often have to exit the app and reload.
Reviewing this app is not a reflection of the knowledge that uCertify has but of the app itself. Using this app on an iPhone or a smaller iPad has some issues such as matching and reviewing quizzes or activities inside of it to help reinforce learning. Hopefully they will continue to work on this through the different iterations of the app.
Anyway around it ? So I click link in school website, then it opens the app ucertify learn automatically but then only thing I can do in app is read instructions or watch video. It’s missing the virtual platform
It’s a huge improvement compared to the old app. However it’s a huge step backwards regarding accessibility and UX design. I can’t find an easy way to increase font size. How are people with reading disabilities going to use this product?
I have to keep uninstalling and installing the app because it gets stuck at syncing and doesn’t allow me to go anywhere so…I am currently displeased because this didn’t happen before the update. Please fix this issue. It’s really upsetting.
It’s very handy and it’s flexible to have where you can have it anywhere, biggest concern is issues that I reported multiple times with audio listening still unresolved… it’s now been 2 months and counting☹️
A lot of the interactive elements do not work for a mobile/touch screen interfacing. Read progress does not seem to work even if you manually marked as read. Pretty much the only good thing this app is good for is reading the text.
This is a slightly better experience over the old app but is still buggy. For example when you try to answer quiz questions that require you to drag definitions to the words they describe you can’t do it.
Trying to take a bunches of quizzes back to back. Spend more time trying to reopen the hide the back/next button because the buttons to go back/next are too small and/or the hide button is too close to them.
