VTube Studio

This is really a GREAT app!! This is an app where you don’t actually have to use pro to get good app quality!! Which is really good!! Even with the provided characters, you can edit it a little bit!! Although there is ONE THING. . . I would like better instructions on how to import your own character because I can’t figure it out. 😗 the instructions are too complex for me 🥲. It would help a lot if you could get into more detail and Debth. Because I searched it up on iTunes and I can’t find it 😭! It could help if you could fix that, or maybe even better, be able to do it on the app itself?? 🤨 please??? Pretty please?? Anyways besides that, it’s like the bestest app ever for v tubing that I can find right now :) it has all the basic nesesiteas and other stuff like that and it’s not too complex so my dumby dumb dumb brain can actually understand it :).

I’ve seen so many people confused on how to import your own model, and its pretty upsetting(if you’re on a mobile device, if you have a file viewer, enter there, you may or may not be able to find vtube studio, then live2Dmodels, and drag the folder of your character there), i know i just said how to do it, but people still have a hard time learning how to! If you don’t already, you should have some sort of YT so you can send people there if they don’t know how to, but other than that, the app is nice.

Two things to get out of the way: -This app only works with iPhones with facial tracking. Please don't leave a negative review because your phone is too old, the developer can't do anything about that. -This app is NOT a character creator. idk why people think it is. If you read the description, you will know that it is a face tracking program for a PRE-MADE live2d model. I really don't get why that's so hard to understand! This app is great, I don't have my own Live2d model yet, but the default models are still fun to play around with! The app has several great features for streaming (items, animations, hotkeys)! The tracking is fantastic, the parameters can be confusing at first but once you play around with them you can understand how they work. The app adds features regularly, and the developer is very kind!! My one issue with the app is that after the latest update, my phone gets very hot when I use the app, which didn't happen before? I'm not sure if this is a fixable thing, but I just wanted to let you know. (My phone is an 11, on ios 15.4) Thank you for this app!! I know I will definitely be using it in the future!

This is a very good app and the face tracking is great but it does not work for people with older phones/iPods sadly. So if you have anything that’s older I suggest you look into that because it might possibly not work. I would love it if the devs could make it to where people with older devices could use it as well but I understand why it is the way it is. Overall it’s a really good app.👍

This app is incredible! It is easy to understand and the face tracking is really well done, unlike other apps. But to those complaining about not being able to use the app because you don’t have face ID, you literally need that in order for the model to track your face, otherwise it won’t work at all. Please don’t leave negative reviews if you don’t understand what face ID is or why it’s needed.

Bought this on steam and paid for the pro. Decided to use the app on my phone for better tracking. Only to find out I need to shell out another 23 dollars to get pro again so I can use it for longer then five minutes. Not to mention the only way I could get it to work was through usb and it would not connect through my network/pc. Great tracking but not sinking in more money for an app that is so difficult to get connected to my pc.

It’s a very good, app but I still don’t understand why you have to have a pc and use different apps in my own opinion I feel like people should be able to import or design their own character in the app, I feel like it would make everything very easy for new v-tubers to create and stream their own character, but over all its still a very good app!

This app can’t connect to my PC without me spending an hour troubleshooting and restarting my router phone and pc every time I use it. Most days it doesn’t work at all but other days it will work for about 30 minutes before it loses connection and I can’t get it back. Very dissatisfied especially since I paid full price. I’ve checked all the FAQ related to this problem on the website and the discord and nothing fixes it. Hoping this can be fixed or made more reliable in the future.

The new update is extremely amazing! I know it’s not SUPER new but I only just recently figured out about it anyways, and about the objects portion of it, all of the objects are very fun! But I think you should add something, a controller with hands on it, if that makes any sense many V tubers put that on there character when there doing a chat and play stream. Just a suggestion ^^

I think this app is phenomenal. I got it on my iPad so I could draw and have my vtuber model on the same screen, but it says split screen isn’t supported. I think adding split screen support would revolutionize the use of Vtube Studio on iPads. Think of all the possibilities while streaming on mobile!

I’m an artist learning to rig, and this software is amazing. It lets you stream to your PC as an IR connection. However, the iPad will actually show more vivid motion and movement still if you don’t have a fast connection to your Pc. Still, as an option for showing how a made model functions, phenomenal.

I really like this game cause I wanna use it for my videos but I can't make an avatar because I have no computer/macbook and all I have is my school computer so can you please make the avatar creating thing also work on just iOS please?

1. i can’t get it to show me! i would try flipping the camera, but it sorta seems like i can’t do that. there’s also nothing that tells you HOW to. 2. there’s no tutorial. there’s just a bunch of stuff, as in warnings. can you please put a tutorial in the game on how to use it? i would give this a 5 star rating if those 2 problems weren’t happening to me. sorry for giving it a bit of a bad review, it just needed to happen, (by the way, could you make it so it works on ipad?) again sorry. if the person who made this game sees this review, i want to say that if you can please fix these problems i’m having? thank you if you do. I love this app and have it installed on all my iOS devices. However, I’m tired of having o plug in my devices and am looking for an all in one solution. I’m thinking of getting an M1 MacBook Pro or an M1 Mac mini. I was wondering if the app runs fine on the M1 or have you decided to limit it to only the A series chips on mobile devices?

denchi’s really great and takes feedback to heart to improve this phenomenal app. it’s genius and literally a godsend. denchi also always gives troubleshooting tips on the VTS discord if the thorough documentation doesn’t already explain what to do, making for an even easier experience for the users.

I wish this app was for iPad because i want to make my own anime person but I can’t because I don’t know how to on my iPad mabye you could please do a update where you can customize for the iPad people because I think this is the only app I can find on my iPad also that looks cool

I like the app but sadly my phone doesn’t have FACE ID … I really like the app btw I have and iPhone 7 Plus and it still doesn’t work this is not a negative comment about the app it’s about my stupid phone but I would really recommend the app for vtubing lol

So I was really excited for this app because I am 9 and always wanted to play REALITY-avatar-streaming ect but it was 17+ so I could never play it so I downloaded this app because it was rated 4+ and I open the app and I go to the character creator button and I press make my own character and I have to get a PC and I do not own that so please make it like other character customization apps where you could just make a character pleaaassseee

The interface is pretty clean and easy to understand, and the performance is really solid. I had some trouble connecting to the server on my PC, but otherwise the app is really well-designed. I do wish there was an option for landscape mode for iPad OS, since mounting an iPad vertically is a bit awkward and it’s easier to prop it up on a desk.

This is a great app and since I don’t have a webcam nor do I have 15 dollars to spend on facerig on steam this is a great, free, alternative that’s actually cool, it’s just sad that there’s not as much character as I thought, when I get a chance I can download some! 9/10

For it being mobile, this is a really good face tracker app. The only thing confusing me is where im supposed to make the model. I see you can import it, but is there a specific app to-make your model on? Otherwise great job.

Need to be updated because the information on setting it up is incorrect with new iOS there is no way to find apps and turn on networking in settings like show in the app the steps need to be updated for iOS 17

I think it’s leagues above Facerig for sure, but it is having a hard time tracking my lips because the avatars provided all have default slightly open mouths no matter how much calibrating I do. I’m hoping I won’t have this problem when I get my own model.

THIS IS THE BEST VTUBER APP IN THE WORLD! But the ONLY flaw is that NOBODY can figure out how to import a model because it is way too complicated. PLEASE fix THIS! Otherwise, it’s a SPECTACULAR app for vTubing! Please look at this and update the app with simpler instructions other than doing the app on a PC.

I’d like to make a model of my own to import, but I don’t have one yet. Any suggestions on apps/software to use to make one? The tracking on the app is the best I’ve seen, and I’d like to put it to use

It would be better if you would add custom characters on mobile and iPads because it’s annoying when it comes to your character but it’s good overall.

To connect it to computer might be a little tricky I recommend buying the pro version to connect with wifi

I love it! But I wish I didn’t need a computer to import models .. would be a lot easier if it wasn’t a feature since I cannot afford a computer during times like these.

This is amazing, but I wish we could have more expressions, like a pouting expression and more. Can u make it so it does the same exact thing as me, please????? Also, we need more characters, please make more girl characters and even some boy characters please.

This is something I've never thought I'd be able see; an Iphone App that's almost on par with Nijisanji, yet manages to pack in everything together so neatly that it's almost like I'm using the Nijisanji app. Definitely a must for all you aspiring Vtubers out there!

I’m using my phone for stream to PC, it keeps saying “without buying the VTube Studio PRO version, you will be disconnected from the server after five minutes. Please consider purchasing VTube Studio PRO!” i don’t see the option to buy it.

It’s a great vtuber app, using this as a vtuber my TikTok gained 1k followers however it won’t let me use my model anymore, or even open the model screen. If you could fix this I’ll change my review to 5 stars but otherwise I’m gonna have to find a new app which will take an eternity.

I use Hiyori_A, and she always looks sleepy for some reason. My eyes are of average size, not big or small. I really have to open my eyes real big to make her not look sleepy. Other than that, it’s great!

Honestly love how much this app get updated and made to run so smoothly. The user friendliness of the app too makes it so easy to use and master. I love it!

You can use it for live streams, but does need character customization other than that it’s super great

This VTuber studio is really good. I made a pudding par-tay with this app! But I think you should be able to make your own VTuber model for people who don’t have access to live2d like me. Otherwise, this app is awesome.

My phone app won’t connect to my PC. I have been working on it for about a week, I’ve done all the troubleshooting their site told me, and what I was told to do in their discord. I got it to work once, didn’t change anything, and the next day tried to use it and it doesn’t work again. I’ve tried the Discord for help and they aren’t helping.

I love this app, but there is one thing I need, can I you add like a character maker because what if someone cant draw well? Then they can be a character tab. :) Just a suggestion !

So when I download it it was awesome i was trying to make my own character but it was a confusing but it has the character toro from whisker away 👁👄👁

Works great, developers are active in listening to community and adding useful features to an already best in market product.

Tracking quality is pretty good (albeit with some hitches but nothing too serious) and UI is easy to maneuver through. Can’t wait for future updates!

It’s a good game, but I wish you can make your own model from an iPhone and not have to have a PC other than that this is an amazing game

I feel bad leaving reviews like this, but it’s impossible to actually leave a review. No matter what I do, the app refuses to open past what I assume to be the loading screen? I wish I could say more. Edit: Before people assume my phone is simply too old, I have an iPhone 12

On PC the app is great but it takes too much to upload your model to your phone and you can’t use the camera that is facing you. I think that’s so weird.

I don’t know if I’m dumb or I’m not using this app wrong😓. I’m trying everything but nothings working to get the face track to work. Yep,I’m definitely stupid😭. Anyway why couldn’t they gave me a option if I don’t know how to use it. I like your game though!🫠
