Excellent App to get as up to date info as possible.
I heard about this app just recently during the Airport Fire and Line Fire. I have many friends with homes in both those areas. It was nice to be able to move from one fire to another so easily to get updates, see live video feed and have the transit/satalite/topography options as well as the satellite hot spots that really gives you a good idea of what is still active and what is not. I’m thankful for this app and I have shared it with my friends who were even more thankful to know their second homes in the Line Fire area were being protected as well as friends near Trabuco Canyon on both sides who were able to get an early idea of what directions the winds were blowing by the live video feed and whether there was a chance they would be in the evacuation zone long before they announced it. Everyone I know who were in the area are all safe as well as their homes. Thank you to all the hard working never stopping fire fighters and retardant/water droppers as well as everyone making the calls to protect homes in Orange County and San Bernardino County. My heart goes out to those who lost their homes more toward Riverside County and on the 74. I will never get rid of this app. So informative. I do wish the fire lines were updated a little more often if possible.

Loving the app
Loving the app gives me some peace of mind on getting fire information. I have found some of the fire agencies are slow on giving out information. Especially important information that the community should have to make a decision faster or prepare if there is a fire near so they can make the decision to prepare for evacuation even though it might be a long shot. To much information is never a bad thing to have. I am also one of those people that carries a scanner on me in my vehicle and in my home. Living with a disabled family member we need more time then the normal family to evacuate. Living in the middle of nowhere it takes time for the notification system to catch up if it is a big fire. This gives me the power to see what is happening without having to monitor 10 different websites and paying attention to the scanner. The only feature i would like to see is the option to change the notification tone at night i find the tone to quiet and i would like to change it to a more louder tone especially to wake me up form a dead sleep.

Excellent coverage that gives peace of mind
We lost our home in the Tubbs fire. Since then I’ve stayed up all night, evacuated from other fires, and stressed every summer and fall. I have also spent a lot of time whenever there is a fire trying to find as much information as possible to feel safe. I’ve also found that by raising my awareness of how many fires are handled quickly and without loss of property since the tubbs fire that my anxiety has gone down. This app puts all of the info that I was hunting down (and more) in one place, quickly and easily accessible. It notifies me so that I can know what is happening at my home, and my family members’ homes when I am away or at work. I’m amazed that this is being provided at no cost to us by a non-profit. This app is wonderful for peace of mind and information and a must have for anyone living in a WUI in any of the counties served. Thank you Watch duty for this app and this service, it is so appreciated, and so well executed.

Faster than most agencies, and an incredible piece of mind
I live in a fire prone area. I live in the same county where an entire town burned down a few years ago so we’re all a little edgy when we see fire or smoke. Earlier this year I was evacuated and the fire season hadn’t even really gotten started. I live in the county of the Park fire which is the fourth largest in California history. I would get continual updates every time there was a change reassuring. It was a little scary when my phone beeped about every 10 minutes, but at the same time we had three other fires in my area so it was pretty busy. I strongly recommend that you pay the $25 to get updates. That’s two dollars a month for peace of mind. I do live in a Fire area so for my County I have every single update pushed to me. The two other counties that are adjacent to us that also tend to share their fires with us I get an update when there is a new fire. I also have my son’s County let me know when there is a new Fire since he’s also been burned out once. I can’t recommend it highly enough. And that’s before they start adding camera views. Before I learned about the ability see which aircraft have been deployed, and before I figured out how to find out what the hotspots were and and that I could see the wind direction. If you live in a fire area and you do not at least download the free copy, you have no excuse when you’re caught unaware.

Helpful Suggestions
First I would like to thank whoever had the idea for this app. It is a very nice convenient way to monitor the fires in our area. I know this app was predominantly developed for the benefit of firefighters and coordinators to have accurate information but as a citizen user I would like to make a couple of improvement suggestions that you might want to add during the slow season. First a contact button so end users can tell you about their experience (you can put a notification that it is not consistently monitored if you need to). Second a way to sort notifications. I would like to know each fire in my county but in counties where my relatives live I would just like to monitor larger fires (mostly for smoke and to see if we need to invite them over to get out of the smoke). These things would be helpful to me and other users may have some other ideas. Really happy to have this app.

Excellent Information Design
I live in the fire-prone Pacific Northwest and have spent anxious days and nights with bags and car packed, ready to evacuate if the threat level increased. Seeing that dreadful orange glow on hills too close for comfort is heart stopping. This app gives me peace of mind and an easy way to keep tabs on any fires near me or my friends and family. But on top of that, I’m a UX designer, and I am immensely impressed with the quality of the information and interaction design of this app. The developers must have had a talented designer on their team, and it shows. It’s clean, easy to understand at a glance, and intuitive to use. Kudos, team, and thank you for this amazingly helpful app. I’m still anxious about the current fire season but this at least gives me a solid tool for dealing with it. Now please: if you live where it’s hot and dry, DO NOT USE FIREWORKS. Or start fires. Or shoot off-range. Or otherwise risk a conflagration

Peace of mind
This app truly brought a sense of relief to my family during the Southfork Fire. To be able to see almost exactly where the line was and receive the updates and concerns in the area every few hours was unbelievable. I feel like this app helped to connect the community in a way that people didn’t expect. It also brought my 85 year old grandma a sense of relief and hope as our family vacation home of over 30 years was within a few feet of the flames. We lost my Grandpa last year and Ruidoso was one of his favorite places to be! My Grandma felt she was about to lose a part of him all over again. My heart aches for the family’s affected and those that lost their everything and even their lives. We count our blessings everyday and continue to keep those more severely affected in our thoughts. Strength be with those this has touched.

Fantastic App
I used to have 5 or 6 apps that I monitored and switched between for wildfire info. TEDIOUS. I found Watch Duty three years ago and it cut that list down to two. After I check out the scanner function that was just added, I’m sure it will be just one. Great idea, fantastic execution! The alerts make sure you don’t miss an event, and the updates are the fastest you’ll see in wildfire monitoring anywhere! I’ve listened to the scanner while waiting for updates and I’ve seen status updates on Watch Duty less than a minute behind a scanner update. Now that they’ve added the scanner and flight tracker update I will be able to delete two more apps off my phone. Watch Duty is of my favorite apps of all time. And the most solid app for wildfire season I’ve ever seen. It’s bug free, it’s intuitive, it’s flipping FAST at getting info out. My only complaint, and I cannot stress how minor this is, I wish the app wasn’t quite so expensive, just so it was easier to justify to the wife. I live in fire country and I am positive this app will save my life and the lives of my family someday, that makes it priceless. Oh, more layer options and a dark mode would be dope but we all know that’s me being picky. This app could exist as it was 3 years ago and it would still be number one on my lineup.

Wish it Covered OR & WA
It looks like a great app with timely information that includes incident response team updates/reports. I downloaded it not having read the detail that is for California and wish this covered WA as well. It looks like this is would be a great collaboration between DNR services through OR and WA as well to give more comprehensive coverage and insights. There are too many other fragmented sources. I especially dislike how some incident teams rely on Facebook to disseminate information and after a few weeks of keeping the team page open Facebook decides to close it requiring the public to login to keep getting updates. Information like this needs to be publicly and widely accessible so whether it’s via an app like this or open websites, the information can’t be controlled by third parties including Facebook or others.

Notifications need to be much louder
This app has the potential to be really fantastic and the go to resource for Sonoma and Napa County residents. It sends alerts when a fire is reported, which is extremely beneficial for those of us (myself very much included) in this area that has a panic attack when the wind picks up, we hear a fire engine, or we smell smoke. The only complaint I have is the alerts are not nearly loud enough. I actually just got an alert on my phone and the only reason I heard it is because it was right next to me. I always have my phone volume turned up to the maximum, especially during fire season, so phone volume isn’t the problem. So, my only recommendation for making this app better is giving the user the option to change the alert sounds so that they’re louder. Other than that? This will be a really great app for everyone and I thank the developers for creating it.

Outstanding fire and emergency Ap - free or buy 4 more features
I got trapped outside the Costco in the 2021 Marshall fire in Colorado. That was an impossible situation due to the sudden nature of the fire and 90mph winds. Zero access to emergency info. Since then, my point to people is stay connected to an immediate info source and be ready to leave immediately. Have an emergency radio that goes off at night for fire warnings. Especially if u r in the west - Don’t wait. Stay in one car w/loved ones, have smoke goggles in the car, pack four days of prescription in that car and two days of dry pet food - and plenty of eye wash. Then. Just. Go. This Ap captures all the info needed to keep informed w/out twitter or some helpful websites that lack alert functions. Download it now. Set up your 4 counties. Or buy the year subscription. (Unlimited counties). Profound thx to these developers.

Hawarden fire
I downloaded the app to keep track of what was going on with my brothers house and my house and it helped me to know when to evacuate. As I was in my garage, I looked up & the plane was right at the end of my driveway dropping red goo so I figured out that if they were doing that there must be fire right there so since I wasn’t getting any notifications to evacuate, I knew I had to go so I grabbed my doggy and left and I’m in a wheelchair so luckily, my husband asked me to put some stuff in the car because he no one was here with me. My house was on the news, but it wasn’t because it was burned down It was because the fire was at my driveway and the great people in the plane got it put out before it took out my house so you helped save my house and my life. Thank you very much.!

This app is an incredible help to the public
Recently heard of this App and downloaded it. A fast moving fire began in my vicinity just days after downloading it and I used it to network with a friend to pass information to a community who was needing to evacuate with limited communications because their power had been shut off. Because of this App, people were quickly notified who would not have been because they were away from their neighborhood and at work. Children were quickly removed out of harms way, as well as pets and livestock due to this App alerting me with an audible “heads up!” and in turn we networked quickly through a handful of people who were on it! Thank you so very much to all of you who run this App!!

Support This Excellent App!
This app provides accurate and important information about wildfires. It keeps track of all fires in your area (and elsewhere) along with evacuation notices, where a fire is in relation to you at your location, and any videos or updated reports from the various fire agencies (CalFIRE, USFS, Tribal OES, etc). It tells you when the info was last updated. And that’s just the free version. The paid version also provides all of the air activity including what kind of plane and what it’s used for (observation, water drops, etc), and their flight path. I was able to watch a plane circle an area in real time even before a fire there was reported. They are a non-profit and do a tremendous service. Please support them and keep this awesome app going!

For Your Peace of Mind, everyone needs Watch Duty
I have a home at Lake Almanor. I’ve lived through the fear and not knowing what’s going on through The Camp and The Dixie fires. Watch Duty keeps one up to date and allow us to watch what is going on. Unfortunately, The Park Fire, which originated in Chico, is now threatening to enter the burn scar of the Dixie Fire and finish what the Dixie Fire couldn’t do, envelop the Lake Almanor area. I hope and Pray Cal Fire can stop it. At least now I know exactly what is happening. Thank you so much for your service. I am a retired widow and when all this uncertainty is over. I would like to volunteer with Watch Duty. I’m glued to you daily and sometimes nightly. Thank you so much. Your website has everything from wind direction to air quality. Kathy

A must have
My father was a Fire Captain, as a child, he instilled the urgency to respect fire. From early on I feared and respected the flame and lived a cautious life from then to now. As an adult and living on the Paradise ridge, I became hyper vigilant and continually prepared for what was imminent. We lost our home in the Paradise Camp fire and have recently moved into our rebuilt home, I have high anxiety for fear of more fires. I can guarantee I’ll be living on Watch duty’s app. I used it last year while traveling while our home was being rebuilt so that I can warn loved ones who were on the ridge in case they were going to be effected by another event. Thank you so much for this amazing app, I’m grateful for all of you working to keep us safe continue to make Watch Duty an important tool.

A Life-Saving and Property-Saving App❣️
I only recently discovered this marvelous app and because of its accurate and real-time information, I was able to avoid driving into a deadly situation. Yesterday, I was on my way from Bakersfield to Lake Isabella, for a second medical appointment. Just as we approached the mouth of Kern River Canyon and dead cell-phone coverage, we got an alert that a fire had broken out, mid-point in the canyon. Had we not slowed down, the road would have been blocked after we’d entered the canyon, instead of beforehand. The fast-growing Boral Fire is just tearing along the steep walls if the canyon and I can only hope that all those people working on the road repair, were able to evacuate quickly, as well❣️

A ‘Must Have’ App for Californians
I rarely review apps, but WatchDuty has exceeded my expectations in every way. The app provides information in an incredibly timely manner. We recently had a fire nearby and had been watching with concern as the CalFire spotter planes circled overhead. Within minutes the fire was listed on WatchDuty, updates were posted, and just a few minutes after the spotter planes stopped circling the app reported that fire crews had the fire contained and the air assets had been released. We sighed in relief and said thankful prayers for both CalFire AND WatchDuty! I sleep better at night—and are more confident leaving our pets at home during the day—knowing that this app will give me advance notice of a potentially concerning event nearby.

Real time accurate reports, finally, that changed our lives and relieve anxiety
The rapidity with which this app share information has truly changed our lives for the better. Whether the wildfire update be devastating or celebratory, it’s always a relief to find accurate real time info. This altered the routes I travel. I share this w everyone in the vicinity of wildfire or fallout with confidence. I look forward to seeing the coverage grow worldwide, and adaptations for other life altering events such as natural disasters or geopolitical altercations. Having lived and worked in war zones and disaster areas, I understand, respect and appreciate this app beyond words. Get it. Share it. Breathe

Great app but…
I loved this app. It does a great job for the most part at what it says. But after getting the same emergency notification for an area I did not follow nor live in (nor would the fire have had any physical impact on me or anyone within 40+ miles) about 12 times over a 24 hour period, even after turning notifications AND sound off, at all hours of the day. I removed the app cuz it was going off at 2am. I still received the same alerts twice the next day. The event it was notifying me about had been put out for 24 hours at this point but I was still getting the notification. I sent a support message to the app. The reply told me I didn’t know how to remove an app from my phone and that was it. The fact that I deleted the app and it was still able to take over my phone is concerning. Sorry I can’t recommend the app. No support for an actual problem and an email saying I’m dumb. Cool thanks. Tell your friends

Essential, Accurate, Intuitive-- critical to have on your phone.
If you live in CA you know Fire can occur anywhere, any season. You want to be alerted of a fire near you, your loved ones, your business, your animals, your friends, your property. Watch Duty will be up-to-the-minute best info, with facts and imagery and maps and progress updates. One place to look in those crucial minutes. Just put it on your family and friends' phones, you will sleep better. I have been evacuated numerous times, and lost everything to a fire. Watch Duty is so essential, so easy to use, and beneficial-- if we had it years ago it might have been a game changer.

The best
This is the best fire alert app for the western US. As a resident in a place that has regular fires, I’m always on the hunt for good intel when something is happening. The fire watch app has consistently been the first alert I’ve received for fires in my county this fire season. The updates have been phenomenal. The people that staff it and the radio updates they capture could not be more timely. It’s helped my family stay safe, including when my sister had to evacuate due to a quickly moving fire a month ago. I knew about it before she did, and quickly sent her a heads up and a link to the fire alerts on fire watch.

Excellent
During the 2017 fires in Santa Rosa, I looked up information on multiple sites for my best guess for risks, wind direction, CalFire responses, & air quality. This app gives me access to all of that with regular updates and notifications. Having gone through multiple evacuations in the past 7 years, I immediately recognized when the color of sunlight changed yesterday evening to sunlight filtered by wildfire smoke. My son recommended this app and it let me sleep soundly with the Point Fire slowly being brought under control. This is the kind of volunteer community service that supercedes the support of our local services. Great work, you guys.

Recent Fire in Redwood City
Hey WD Team, Wanted to pass along some feedback… I work in Redwood City and we recently had a construction fire… Your product was great and delivered… Probably too good… local PD , Sheriff and Fire were not on the same page with respect to information timing and release… All normal in an active incident… Not sure if possible with your team but it be great to leverage some open source LLMs that can post to various municipal twitter feeds.. This would be in an effort to tie information together that your app seems process quickly… I know easier said than done and you are at the mercy of their social media teams… Anyway keep up the great work…. The Goldilocks of alert apps!
For those of us who have lived the past 5 years anxiously looking for accurate and timely information about fires in our area, Watch Duty is the “just right” alert app. The app manages to hit the sweet spot of providing what you need to know, when you need to know it, without causing alert fatigue. The local “reporters” review scanners and send real time updates so you can know if something is headed your way. This really is a “must add”app to your smart device or computer, especially since fire season is a year-round reality in California. Keep your official notifications on, and add Watch Duty to be sure you in the know.

Bryson — Watch Duty clear & accurate
Watch duty gives rapid alerts & status reports from soon after a fire’s ignition, through all the response stages, until it is out. Advising the types of air and ground units, and their response phases helps app users understand the ongoing management process. Presenting simple mapping that includes only the essential elements as well as current photos and text helps viewers both in and outside the area. Very happy WD has expanded to other states. Intelligent linkage to CALFIRE, InciWeb, and other databases is incredibly valuable, enabling users to get the info without interruptions or searching the Internet. Good job!

No More Notifications
I got this app in the summer of 2022 after losing my home in the Peters Fire. It had worked great. The notifications were working very well and every fire was updated efficiently. Now, after the most recent update, the notifications don’t work. At. All. I’ve already checked the app’s notification switch as well as the IOS notification switch. Everything is on, but no notifications. So I’ll open up the app and see there’s a new fire in my county, but I wouldn’t have known because there was no notification. My parents are dealing with the same problem. Please fix this. I hate having to open up the app every 5 minutes to check rather than just waiting for a notifcarion.

BEST APP I’VE EVER MET!!
I’ve always struggled to easily find clear, up to date information about fires…only finding scraps of info scattered among different clunky websites. Watch Duty is incredible! Everything you need to know is right in the app and laid out in the most clear, elegant, and intuitive way. It’s even got air quality and live wind direction. And power outages(!) though just for California. I’m in S. Oregon and would love to have that feature. Watch Duty also functions beautifully—kudos to the writers/designers/coders!!! As a non-profit, there are no ads to bog it down. Everyone should be happy to donate or become a member.

Thank you to creators
The creators of this app local to Napa County provided an immeasurable service to our community in Aug 2020 and again in Sept. 2020. It was because of them that I was able to evacuate myself, child, and two cats hours before the fire reached my home. With so much chaos and lack of communication in those dire moments, it’s imperative to have first hand information with facts of the situation. Watchduty is here to provide that. With real time information from scanners, photos from the fire, and more. It’s going to change communities suffering from natural disasters and open new, reliable avenues to keep everyone safe and informed.

Best app ever!
I’ve lived in the WUI (Wildland Urban Interface) for decades and fire has always been a worrisome threat. I’m familiar with and receive alerts from local and national sources (FEMA, NIFC, etc). I only found out about Watch Duty a few weeks ago, loved the format and constant updates. When I found out it is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteer firefighters. There’s a FREE version but I went ahead bought a PAID ($25/year) subscription to support them. I’ve also put my loved ones on my personal map so if someone is in danger I can also alert them. I sleep better knowing I have this app. THANK YOU, Watch Duty! 💕

Awesome app - everything in one place
If you live anywhere near a wild fire threatened area or are visiting, this app is a must-have on all your devices. It puts all the relevant information at your finger tips. If the devs are reading this, I would have only one suggestion/wish: if technically possible, use different types of notification sound effects for different levels of urgency for updates. E.g., if a new fire breaks out nearby, especially if big, it would be good to be able to distinguish that alert from some evac level getting lowered or a fire declared contained.

Watch Duty is one of those apps you’ve always said “hey wouldn’t it be great if..” well watch duty does that, it notifies you of any fire in your selected county(ies). It’s updated by many of the best “Fire Twitter” folks out there. When it’s a red flag day a quick notification can make a huge difference. Being able to quickly find evacuation zones, crews assigned or enroute is all valuable information with Watch Duty gives you. I’ve preached it’s value to friends, family and their I know in tech and media. An added bonus, the notifications will also come on your Apple Watch.

Absolutely fantastic! And so appreciated!
As a Carr fire survivor, I cannot express how much I appreciate this service. I was always piecing information together from the flight tracker, wild land cameras, and Twitter to see if I had fires in my area. Now I get alerts in real time. This service along with the improved fire fighting strategies has brought me so much relief I cannot express in words. I am still cautious but at least I’m not terrified. The Watch Duty app provided a lot of needed & helpful information, that was kept as updated as possible. The ‘LAYERS’ button on the app that provides satellite imagery & wind direction were especially helpful. While getting evacuation maps from local agencies, we found your maps to be MUCH easier to read & evaluate locations/roads. We were interested in seeing where the ACTUAL FIRE was & your maps, including the areas of “hot spots”, were just the information that we needed! Thank you for your VERY helpful app & the amount of peace of mind it provided!

Impressive and Well Done
I learned about this app yesterday and immediately noticed the difference between this and other emergency alert apps I’ve used. I love that you give accurate information as soon as it is released from official channels. The notifications are timely and direct, without all the unreliable hearsay you find on social media. It is also helpful to see evacuation zone maps, photos from the ground, and aerial images of the firefighting efforts. I highly recommend this app to all my friends, family, and anyone who lives in Sonoma, Lake, and Napa County.

Wouldn’t be without this app
Living in a wildfire area, it is a must have. We were evacuated a year ago when a fire got within a mile of our house. We had just moved into the area and I just happened to see a post on FB about the info the poster got from this app. Got the app and follow the fire and the evacuation zones all night and we were packed and ready to go when they knocked on our door. We were lucky and could go home a week later but thanks to this app, we had all of our important papers with us if things had gone bad.

Best up to date fire watch info
We’ve been monitoring a bunch of fires in my county about an hour away from us. We’ve got so many fires in our state right now, that one of the fires grouped together with a bunch of other fires in the same town isn’t even contained. It’s sad we don’t have enough resources or enough help from other states to get it at least 1% contained. That’s how good this app is. All you’ve got to do is click or tap on the flame and it pops up with the most updated and recent information. You can view any area in any state. Fantastic app.

Amazing app
We live in an area of N CA that has been hit by fires every year the last several years and have been evacuated 3 times in the past 5 years. Before Watch Duty was available, it was a constant frantic refresh and looking on FB and Twitter for updates. With this app I no longer have to do that as all the information is in one place with timely accurate updates and photos. I also like that the notification tone they use is different from any other notifications I get on my phone so I always know it’s a fire.

Game Changer
This app had been a game changer during fire season. Not only do I receive accurate up to date information about fires near me, I also get evacuation notifications as they are issued. An added bonus is how much this app has helped with the fear and anxiety of fire season, as I have seen how quickly and robustly our fire services tackle new fires, often putting them out before they become a major threat. A very big thank you to those that set this up and operate the service. It makes life in a fire zone much more manageable 🤗🤗🙏🙏

Love this app; expand to the northeast?
This app is great, easy to navigate, and provides a lot of peace of mind. It covers a significant part of the western US, with fires being reported from the coast to Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. The only thing I’d love is if it the app expanded coverage to the northeast, but given how the app runs, it makes perfect sense that they haven’t been able to do so yet. It seems like they’ve expanded their coverage eastward since the app launched, so I hope it’s only a matter of time! This app is amazing and a must-have for anyone living in the western US.

It helps give me peace of mind and it’s the first thing I check whenever I hear the tankers fly over. I love the latest update with the live fire cameras. It would be neat to have an additional layer option to show cloud cover or precipitation. This could give an idea of where thunderstorms and potential lightning strikes might occur, as well as weather conditions in fire areas. Awesome job, thanks for creating this great app.

I’m so grateful for this app and its accuracy!
Thank you for offering a free app for something so important. I open it so many times throughout the day and feel secure in knowing the proximity and timeliness of the updates. I chose to pay for the app because it’s WORTH it and because I want more of it. I’d like to request an outline of the evacuation areas in addition to the fire map. The descriptions are detailed but it would be easier to zoom in to see which areas are highlighted for Evacuation 1, 2, & 3. Thank you for all you’re doing!

Timely, clear, excellent
Downloaded this recently to track a large fire near me. The quality of the information, the display options, everything is fantastic. I was still on X only for my local fire guy but I feel confident in deleting it now. How awesome is it that these guys roll in air quality and wind data? I used to have to check several sites to get a full picture of the scenario and now this is all I need. I’m impressed enough to donate to these guys. Easily the best app I’ve found in the past 5 years.

If you live in California, you need this app.
I used to live in a flood plain—now I live in a place that catches fire (thanks climate change!) I’ve been evacuated twice in the last five years and trying to figure out what the heck is going on and getting real information is hard when you’re in this situation. You can not believe how many rumors we heard! Watch Duty came from this need of sourcing real info from reliable sources and the community working together. Thank you for giving me the truth and in the quickest possible way.

Wonderful app
This is an amazing app. It does so much now, works so well, and is well maintained. I am so impressed with the reporters and updates. Even outside of fire season, this is useful because you can see purple air quality and wind on the map. During fire season, this app is invaluable. I depend on it for warnings and updates. The notifications are so helpful. I love how they have evacuation info and fire perimeters. The fire aircraft feature is super cool. This is the all-in-one app. Thank you so much to all the staff. Feels like this might save my life one day.

Best Fire App Ever
This is the best fire app out there. I love to be able to set area where I will be notified. Also pulling up Ca and seeing where our fires are with right on time information. How many acres, how many responding, which aircraft’s etc. The other day my husband was walking out in the back fourty and noticed a fire off in the short distance he called me to alert me. Then I looked at a text alert that came in right before he called alerting me. Thanks Fire Watch have already told tons of people about your wonderful app. Big Thanks

Best fire app
This is the best app for keeping an eye on fires in your area. The peace of mind from knowing what there is to know about a fire in close to real time is amazing. I have an elderly friend who is not very connected electronicly. When watch duty let me know of a fire close to her earlier this year I called her to make sure she knew about it, and could start thinking about evacuating if it became necessary. Luckily there were no evacuations and the fire crews got it taken care of, but she was very glad to have the information and the extra time.

Tubbs / 2017 north bay fires survivor
After losing our house on the 2017, Tubbs fire and we were searching for a platform for future piece of mid, everything that the city, county and state tried to work out was inadequate. Christopher Helgren / OES failed, and later nixel left a lot to be desired…. 5 years after the Tubbs, we found Watchduty 🙏❤️🙏 nothing compares to Watch-duty… Please support with donation or membership; believe me it works, it’s worthy and we need this platform for informed decision making processes and real time updates, feedback and support…. Thank you Watchduty!

It presents the info in a clear, concise, non-hysterical manner. Just the facts. Honestly, it’s given our entire community so much peace of mind. Thank you, Watch Duty developers for seeing a need and developing such a great tool to fill that need.
