Journalistic value top notch but presentation on the televised side is not helped by Michelle Roberts poor annunciation she’s truly painful to watch some mornings & trip over those multisylabic hurdles while ur sports anchor can deliver twice as much even more detailed information quicklier w/ ease comparatively!
Your WBNG news app helps me feel close to my family. I’ve lived far away for many years, as required by US Coast Guard duty stations and frequent moves. You help us, by making me aware of and able to talk with family about their local current events. This especially helped with my elderly Mom, who recently passed. She always watched and listened to your news and seemed to feel comforted when I knew what was going on in her neighborhood. Thank you for serving many of us in this way!!💙
The app works fine. I haven’t found any issues there. The updated version seems like a step back in time. This app no longer has the news start when I open the app during those times, I have to click in a couple of places. At first I couldn’t find it. It’s a step in the wrong direction. Frustrating to use still.
I look at this news app daily only to find “news” that has not been updated. For example this past weekend. The Friday news was the same until Monday. Nothing updated about Spiedi Fest/Balloon launching. No pictures? Since I don’t have FB, you offer this app for updated news, you fell short. This is the most recent example. School closings notices are always kept current… positive thing.
I have always liked this app, but since the change I really hate it . It’s hard to find the real news and what’s going on but now you have to go threw all the garbage just to find the news , this reader will find another news app if this stays the way it is go back to old format.
This app was updated a couple months ago. I have been unable to open it since that time. I've even removed it from my device and downloaded it again with no success. I've had to switch to another local news app to get local information. If the technical issues were corrected, I would rate this app higher.
I not only have lost wbng on my dish network service so I don’t get my local news and weather now but you went and changed your app and I don’t get a video update of the weather forecast on the new app. Disappointed is an understatement to be honest. Really hope you can come to an agreement with dish SOON and please put the weather videos back on your app. Thanks
This new app is horrible. I get notices but good luck finding anything in the app....it’s hidden somewhere. The overall layout looks like somebody wrote down ideas on paper then threw them on the table then somebody said , “go with it.” The layout doesn’t make sense, there’s no flow from story to story. It’s a mess which looks like it’s sole purpose is to get you to watch the televised news. It was good but now it’s not. Just watch the TV....it’s better.
First off I’ve had this ap for years. This news source leaves old stories on for days at a time. Barely ever posts new news stories. I’ve been on for over 3 days in a row and the news is still the same even though there has been other stories and events happening.
Sometimes the breaking news articles are the same for days. In other times I guess I understand but during the current crisis, it seems like this should be updated more often.
Despite telling us to follow them on the app for the latest news, they do not update the stories on this app. It’s a pathetic waste of time unless you want to relook at news from a couple days ago. Just don’t expect any follow-up info.
It is annoying when an incomplete weather forecast is given at one sitting. Please consider giving two complete reports, not just “teaser” report followed by a contuation report. 😀
I went to WBNG app for the first time today. I was looking for information on the power outage. NOTHING was on the site about the power outage. So much for using my phone when there’s a power failure. Disappointing.
It doesn’t seem to work now, but when it did open the news was often old or not local. Apparently there is no editor to check the articles before they are published as they are full of spelling and grammatical errors.
Hard to find articles and the streaming news video rarely streams and when it does, it freezes so often it’s not worth the effort or annoyance. Sorry, wanted to give a good review but this is poor for what is supposed to be the premier news station in the area.
If you want weekend news you’ve come to the wrong place. Funny that their TV ads tout about how up to the minute they are. Very disappointing, not only WBNG but all the local stations are the same. Monday thru Friday news.
This app was great since I work in a school and have closings with bad weather, but I don’t know what happened. It would install but then not load, it looks like its working but it stays on the 12 news screen
Local crimes reported are quickly buried in the app. Sometimes within hours. Also app should be updated on the weekends. Nobody’s wants to see the same story from Friday all weekend
Why did it change? NOT convenient not to see all closings and delays listed at once and appears you have to ask individually. Why are all nicknames “taken” Have tried at least 4
Very big step backward. Previous version was much easier to navigate and seemed to have more content. Loss of detailed narrative forecast from a WBNG meteorologist is very disappointing. Will be looking for another source for local news and weather.
Don’t try so hard to keep up with the big channels, concentrate and upgrade all local news, get out and find out what’s going on in the southern tier!!!!
When you open a news app you shouldn’t have to struggle to find the news. Hate to do it but gotta switch to an app that actually puts news at your fingertips.
Every time I try to live stream from the app all I get is a 15 second UHS add. Th app will not let me a live stream the local news or weather I want to see.
Journalists are supposed to be non-biased! WBNG is so obviously “left” leaning and only report on something that looks good for its agenda. Anything our existing President has done for the good never makes your news. And you sensationalize BLM and ANTIFA and their actions! Pathetic
