WDWMAGIC - WDW News

The WDW app is a great resource for those invested in Walt Disney’s amusement parks, especially Walt Disney World. The app design is a very good representation of Disney itself with the light blue colors and mainstream design that is easy to navigate. The main sections of the app can be accessed from the bottom tabs of the main menu. Whether news or forums or Walt Disney World park information it all can be accessed by a quick tap of a finger. The news section does a great job in providing short but insightful articles on the latest happenings in the company related to the various parks around the world. Whether new exhibit openings, or ongoing construction for new attractions or changes in customer packages all are covered in the news feed. The only things missing for me here is a filter where the user would have the ability to display content relative to a select park such as headlines for just Walt Disney World, or for just Disneyland, etc. and the ability to save articles in app. The forums section allows users to connect with others on a variety of topics concerning the parks or other things Disney. The information section is almost a guide itself with a listing of details concerning Walt Disney World whether attractions, attraction hours, eating establishments and more. Regular travelers to WDW or those who just want to keep up with the latest ongoings will definitely get a lot out of this application. It is almost as good as if it came from Disney itself.

Idk who you people on magic think you are but creating graphs and charts on the coronavirus thread is dumb. Why do you want to do something you aren’t getting paid to do. And posting comments about how they think everyone else is living and how they spend their money is also dumb. You all don’t know how others are living or how they spend their money. And I have never seen a group of people hate Disney so much than what I have seen on magic. You all make something out of nothing. You all have no idea what you all are talking about at all about anything. Also, seems to me that you all hate your jobs, so you all try to make it seem more important than it is.

After using the WDWNews web site for years, and frequent visitor to the forums, I switched to the app and I love it. This app makes it easier for me to check in daily. Format is nice.

I have loved this app for years and am so excited for this new update. It has a fresh new look and seems to work great! I check almost daily to get my WDW news fix. Great app!

A good collection of news and the forums are easy to access, but if you are a Disney fan it’s not a place you want to be. The majority of the posts are aggressively angry and bitter, it was shocking to me for a Disney fan site. I had to delete.

App hasn’t been updated in like forever and still doesn’t support proper resolutions. The forum has turned into a joke and is run by people that should’ve been let go years ago.

Love the app but it really needs multitasking support. I hate leaving the app to answer a text and then I have to start all over again.

Great update to the app! Much needed and looks great!

The app was truly fantastic while it lasted but is not compatible with iOS 16. I will miss it.

I have been a regular reader on the wdwmagic website for a couple years now and have been using the app for over a year. It gets the job done but is extremely inefficient. Every time I accidentally hit an ad or close our while in reading a discussion and then renter the app it takes me all the way back to the home page and I have to find where I was again. Also, the whole setup/design is stuck in the IOS 6 times. Desperately needs work and upgrades to get 5 stars.

I've been a huge fan of the website for awhile and follow them on Twitter. When I saw they created this app, I downloaded it immediately! The app has so much info jam packed into it, and has everything you need to plan and visit all the parks and resorts. Excellent job, guys!

For past 24 hrs have received message from app stating "Internet required". Yet all other apps are functional on Internet. Went to app site to write support request. It also stated "Internet required." My only recourse is to use the Review page. I have an updated gen. 5 iPod. Please fix soon,

Even before this most recent update, every time you went back to your home screen, you would lose your place and have to start from the wdwmagic main screen. Now, if you even lock your phone with the app still open on a screen, you lose your place! Can we at least bring it back to the limited functionality it was at before?!

I love this app, it is updated on everything and for a true disney fan its great. They had 24 hours of coverage during disney one more day and it was great because i knew what to go and see. Love the app and deff worth getting!!!

This app is an excellent way to keep current on everything happening at WDW..!! It covers every detail, big or small, and is very easy to use and have never once had it crash or load slowly. I highly recommend it to any WDW fan.

I love this app on the iPhone, can you PLEASE make the same for the IPad? Your pictures and updates are just awesome, I go to it every single day, keep up the good work!! (really want pics in iPad size)

This is an always up to date and informative app. Contains all the Disney news everyone is looking for complete with detailed descriptions and photos in an easy to navigate setup. Great app!

I ended up just deleting the app from my phone because it's just a waste of space when the mobile website is much better. The app hasn't been updated in about 5 years, is inefficient, and the size doesn't fit my screen. While I love Wdwmagic for the latest info, it's clear they've abandoned the app. Would be better just to remove it from the app store at this point.

Great app. Gives great info and pics. The only thing is I wish it had notifications for new posts and more info on trading merchandise like vinylmation and pins.

This is a decent app that gets the job done. However, it has been 2.5 years since its last update. The screen is still not formatted for the iPhone 5 screen size. Also, the discussion board is a bit clunky on this version.

Just had a thought that this would be a really great integration into the app.

This app is very useful and I like it. I used it all the time when I had it on my iPod 4th generation. The app fits the iPod screen perfectly. Now I don't use my iPod anymore. I use an iPhone 5s and when I use this app the app screen is SO SMALL. I couldn't take it so I deleted it. PLEASE fix this and I will download it again. PLEASE!

This app fails to make navigating wdwmagic easy. Between the black bars at both the top and bottom of the screen, the overly large font and large ads you are left with only 1/3rd of the screen being used for content and this is on an iPhone 6. Until this app sees major changes stick with viewing the site on Safari.

Now I can look at all the news and updates from the convenience of my phone

This is the best. I've got several guidebooks and this app is as good as any of them. I would have paid $5 for this one. Thank you.

On my iPhone 4S, all pictures on this site are locked in portrait, no landscape profile - severely limiting viewing of content. Also, you can't capture pictures and save them to camera roll. This site could be much better. Check out MouseChat or Da Mouse websites for easier and better photos of WDW.

Love the information from the site, but will we ever see a iPhone 5 sized app?

now as much as I enjoy using the iTouch/iPhone version, I gotta ask if they will ever do an iPad version as well?

So annoying that if a call comes in or app is closed it kicks you back to start page when you reopen app. Everything else is fine. Add support for multitasking.

Potentially great app, but it simply needs latest iPhone model screen optimization.

Love the site but the app needs a major update. If you don't plan on updating please just update the description to state you have no plans to update

Wdwmagic is hands down my favorite Disney World news and rumors site, and this app is really easy and convenient to navigate. The one thing it's missing is a back button when navigating the forums. The only way to go back takes you to the main message board screen, which is a huge pain. Add this and you've got a perfect app IMO.

The app does it's job, but it's DYING for an update. Really lags behind modern iOS apps.

Update: 5/18/17 App updated. Thank you. The new version is a much better read and finding additional information is easy; i.e. height requirements, refurbishments etc. This app is pretty good but when there is a failure to upgrade I have issues. Please update this app or anyone with IPhone with ISO updates will no longer be able to access.

This app is so fast and really easy to use. It has everything you need on it in relation to Disney World. Design is real slick and pretty. Best of all....ITS FREE!

WDW Magic is the best Walt Disney World fan and news site on the web, and this mobile version captures it well. The forums are especially useful, with live and continuous updates from knowledgeable contributors.
