Just get the premium version

I have used a lot of methods to convert to WebP, and this is by far the easiest. This tool (paid version) allows me to set a max width OR height, which is excellent for handling landscape and portrait images in the same batch. Then, there's the auto-start feature which makes moving through the process a breeze, when paired with "save in original image folder". I just drop groups of files in to be optimized and its off to the races. Very quick conversion, and I have also found the compressed image sizes to be smaller than several other tools I have used like Squoosh or WebPShop (Photoshop).

It just works. Only app I've found that does what it says it will.

This little app is just perfect. It does everything it says it will, it's cheap, and it's efficient. I wish more companies wrote software like this today. Kudos to the devs for a great piece of functional software, with a good UI, and excellent price!

Unable to assess the compression

It says in the app that I can try the compression settings for 2 weeks but attempting to open the Preview function just pops up a paywall window. Without being able to acually test the output at different compression ratios, I'm reluctant to buy it.

Excellent!

I can't be the only one that finds the WebP format utterly obnoxious. Having such a simple, elegant conversion solution as this is perfect!

Effective But Cumbersome UX

This app works to accomplish converting images from one type to another, however the UX is cumbersome for such a small task. I freqeuntly convert things to WebP, but the application always assumes that I want to convert to png. The UI feels outdated and increases problems with UX as it's not very clear how to interact with the app. I'm not aware of any other mac converters so this is likely the best by product of a lack of competition. The premium version was just added, which doesn't seem like it is worth it for me give the clumsiness of the workflow.

Gets the job done

I use this tool constantantly. It's simple, and it works. Nuff said.

Clicking "Start" does not convert all images in the list

Can't set compression

I'm unable to set the compression. Considering that webp is a big deal for efficiency on the web, why not add that?

мені потрібна єдина функція - конвертація скріншотів у webp і безкоштовна версія программи це робить. але хотілося б щоб сконвертовані файли якось помічались программою як виконані і не конвертувались другий раз при додаванні нових.

Great App

Tested a 108683 byte jpeg image. Used an online WebP converter which got it down to 74,218 bytes. Then using this app on the original image, it got it down to 17,392. Checked it visually in Affinity Photo, compared to the original, the WebP quality was extremely good. Thanks!!!
