Eliminate URL requirement !!

I want to write for WION , have tried to join but cannot due to LinkedIn URL demand , drop the demand so I can write !! There was one lady condemning pro life groups for being against abortion and She was Wrong!! Report the news, stay out of opinion unless it’s commentary side of show !! Many people are against abortion, me being one of them ! This woman was vitriolic against those standing it seemed very personal for her, as if she was talking for the whole agency of WION . Be Neutral , much better Look !!

Needs to offer more user control.

Having the ability to control text size is a nice touch, but users can already modify that on their phone. However, that’s where it ends with WION—you have no other controls. This app’s biggest downfall is not including a “dark mode” setting or at least coding the app so it mimics your own phone’s live brightness setting (dark mode on, in my case). It’s your bog-standard news app otherwise, but I do certainly give them credit for a better class of reporting and being a more trustworthy news source—there’s definitely more integrity and less of a sideshow atmosphere with WION. I just hope they improve this lackluster app. They can do better. I know they can.

Another view on world affairs.

As with western media (which leaves out details of interest - like race of victims and perpetrators) WION leaves off details like the religions of victims and perpetrators ( Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Sikh). In the vibrant and violent world of the world’s largest democracy, these details help keep your western readers/watchers aware of “Truth” and political realities in India. We WANT to know…. please inform us with the whole story. Thanks!! I enjoy watching and reading WION news even if I don’t agree with them. India is too important to ignore the opinions of hundreds of millions of its citizens. Thanks for sharing your stories with the world.

Neutralized Clean Journalism.

After long gap, WION has appeared with above mootto. It’s presentations style, language and speech all are entitled for appreciations. Viewers would prefer to watch facts news with neutral viewpoint. I can just hope WION will not run after “Nirma” or “Ghadi” to degrade its presentation as we have many so called Big News channel but with fighting hosts and quarreling participants. I like all the hosts so far seen, specifically Palki, all of whose selective words with selective subject matter and attractive speech makes each of the show knowledgeable and attractive. Keep it up and thank you, Ram Akwal Yadav, Kathmandu.

WION could easily be better if it didn’t suffer from lies!

Palki S Upadhyay is reporter at WION who hypersensationlizes stories. She is more fiction then fact. Her reports have very false narratives on USA, a country where I live and I know for sure what happens. In an effort to boost her own ratings on WION she fabricates the truth and gives a very biased opinion most of the times, this opinion is puppetized and echoed off other fake media news outlets from America. Sadly I don’t find other reporters as bad as Palki S Upadhyay. She is the downfall for this News Outlet. Also they are so much unrecognized because they don’t even have a Apple TV App or presence. It’s a shame they don’t strive to be unbiased and fact driven. That is what News is really about!

Tiny Font

Great app but the font is so tiny it is extremely difficult to read. Please consider something where a person can enlarge the article so it can be read. Maybe like when you can spread your fingers on a picture in order to see it better. Also to many articles on sports & not enough on world news.

Search option is missing

This is a NEWS App and Search feature is missing. How does one find a particular item? Keeping on scrolling and looking for the needed news is painful. The Feedback window is unusable as the keyboard covers it and one cannot see what is being typed on screen on iPhone-13 Pro. Screen rotation doesn’t work. NEWS is biased. It’s WION - World is One but appears to be propaganda to bash developed countries and project developing countries particularly India in favorable terms. Nothing wrong in it, every country has propaganda organs! It’s time India had one and WION’s lady does it pretty blatantly!

App experience needs improvement

The iOS app that I’m using has issues with images not getting displayed in articles. Also when there is the more than one embedded Twitter link the content being that gets truncated due to overlapping ads. I understand the objective being ads for the channel. However, it shouldn’t make user experience annoying. The above issues have made me use the app lesser though it has good content. Further, please provide a way to control notifications which are too many at times

Problem with opening the App

Enjoy the news service which provides honest review of the news with MUCH less bias than other services. However, I cannot give the App 5 stars because of a problem while using with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. When I connect to the App, a message appears telling me “a new version of this app is available. Please install to continue.” Unfortunately, when connecting to the App Store, there is no need to update the WION App and I am directed to open the app. This mechanism is extremely annoying.

Love the app and the content

I think this is probably the best news content out there period. Palki is one the best news anchor. Only complain I have is make your app more user friendly. I think the font is too small and very hard to read. Ignore the haters who don’t like the content and the news anchor. They don’t like knowing the truth. They prefer the Fake news.

Visual media

I have been watching ur chnl for the last one year that ur media is one of the best in coverage in entire world countries news from politics to sports. But at times couldn’t watch news thro the app properly. Sometimes the chnl is buffering & stopped . Which pls note .

Great stories but….

App buttons do not work such as share button,support button and bout anything else I clicked on. Only button that worked was the review button. Please fix App’s issues. I want to be able to share stories.😃

This is not right 1.) CBS-NBC had a lot of Violations . There was a hearing in the Congress that is why the were closed . Please search in You Tube it was all there . 2.) Can’t open account

Tried to set up. Gave Name, email address, choose a password, clicked my acknowledgment of terms & conditions. A response pops up on bottom of screen. It’s literally there for less than 1 second, then disappears. I was able in less than 1 second to read following words; email, region, cell. Not necessarily in that order. Tried 6 or 7 times. Nowhere on the site is ANY information on how to get help. So I guess I can just use Apps for news outlets you then show.

Readability

The headlines font has been updated so it is easy to read. However the main news content font is very small, just like this email font. Need to update (increase) the font size for details as well.

My opinion about WION news

Unlike most news portals in India, WION news extensively covers international news apart from national news. The coverage is unbiased and balanced. Wherever opinion is expressed, it does not appear to be guided by an ideology or by a sponsoring corporate house. I thoroughly enjoy reading WION news and watching WION tv.

Racism on western media…..

Why hasn’t India been fighting for Ukraine. If these people as you say are brown like Indians. Then why aren’t you taking up arms to fight? Didn’t the white people send more supplies than People of your own race ? I have American Indian Native American blood in my DNA . If the truth comes out no one wants Russia pointing a nuke at their country. India hides with its tail between its legs . Concerning your own brown skin I’m color blind in 3 different ways . But I still feel your offended by the reporters statement. All your government seems to care about is getting students out. Think of how many convenient store Your mouth will effect in the USA with your words. I’m considering shopping at a white owned store now, instead of one owned by a Indian.

Hoping for Landscape....

Vertical view only; great for those tiny little phones. Hoping for Landscape view for my iPad. I keep the app on my iPad to show my support for WION, but i can’t use it because it’s sideways on the screen. So I keep viewing in browser. Go Palki!!

World News and Analysis

WION is my go to App for news from around the world, it is sad that I can’t get real news from America’s News Channels, trust is a big factor in searching outside of the USA. I appreciate WION reporting. Thank you.

Integrity

You appear to have rock solid integrity. CNN, NY Times, WP, Reuters, China Daily. Epoch Times etc. do not for they are more or less propaganda outlets for politicians, governments etc. Don’t squander your reputation because you will never ever get it back.

Great app but....

No complaints on content and news whatsoever... If WION can improve GUI, it’ll be so much better. Dark mode/Night mode is a must these days. Margins and font should be improved. ‘Card’ type news placement will make it wonderful. Otherwise, hands down best news app ever!!

Had potential 😢

When I first started watching was good because it gave you news from both sides. But now it’s all for western side only. They don’t give you the whole truth it’s now one sided. And it’s sad because I would like to know both sides of the story not just what the USA 🇺🇸 wants you to know or hear . Bring back morpitia if I’m pronouncing her name the rite way. She saw things from both sides.

Consumes lot of data with ads and news video clips

Auto start of ads and news clips while running in cellular data mode is not desirable. Not everybody has unlimited data plan. You can start ad if user wants to play the news clip.

Fonts & dark mode

The font size don’t change even after you adjust both the phone and app settings. Irrespective of the dark or light mode, the app stays in the light mode. From a accessibility standpoint, it’s not that great. You have a fantastic news content & am happy to give you 5 stars for that. The app is not that great.

Not Ready For Use

The app shows every story as being classified as “General Elections 2019.” Regardless of the subject matter or date of reporting, everything is placed into that category. The app is also unstable…50 percent of the time it shuts down when clicking on a headline for details. The app undermines the credibility of your news network.

Very good channel and authentic but poor app

The UI of App is not really nice especially on mobile try sending feedback. The feedback form caused so much confusion. Very disappointed that after I wrote a long suggestion to improve I had to delete the suggestion.

The coverage of news relevant to Indian diaspora is commendable. There is also news for everyone here that is hard to find in mainstream US news channels

Text is super small

The text is super small and the setting to make it bigger does not work, you can toggle the option to a bigger text and everything stays the same no changes to the font size.

Many bugs in the app

I love the content but the app is really in a bad state. Tabs with names such as sports or ipl doesn’t contains news related to them. On clicking the notifications on my iphone it won’t take me the news notification that I clicked on.

This news outlet seems biased when it comes to BJP and modi

This app is fine with most articles, but when it comes to BJP and PM Modi, news outlet seems to be biased and tries to promote BJP and Modi, instead of dealing BJP just like any other party. This is my observation, and i do not to open any article on BJP or Modi from this outlet.
