Basic user flaws that need addressing
Had worthpoint for 10 years and use the browser version on my iPhone and try to avoid the app due to its basic search flaws. I’m an antique dealer as well as software engineer which makes the flaws so frustrating because o know how easy it is to fix When people who use apps like this search for something, they constantly add or remove keywords to refine what they’re looking for. This app doesn’t store your initial search so if you go to add a keyword in the search bar, the app automatically backs out of your search page, resetting all of your refinements and sort options, Then un-clicks the search bar automatically so you have to click the search bar again, but now your original search is deleted and you have to re-enter it again. I get the strong suspicion that the people who are creating and refining the app don’t actually use it. If they do, I would recommend them to search for ‘violin’, change sort to ‘highest price first’, and then try to add ‘antique’ after violin in the search bar and see how frustrating it is to actually use the app.

Perfect example of how monopolies are bad…
This is the worst run site I have ever used. As others have stated, if you are a reseller you really have no other options that allow you to see old eBay records. If there were, this company would no longer exist. Constantly locking you out for too many failed log-in attempts when you tried…….once. And that’s using the correct password! If there is a problem processing your payment they lock you out INSTANTLY even if you’ve been a customer for years. I tried updating my payment information and immediately got an email that I had cancelled my subscription. When I tried to sign back up I’m told I already have an account. I finally access my account to find a banner that says my account is suspended for payment due. Just below that…….my account info says I’m active and fully paid. I go to the price guide…….prices are locked. I try to upgrade just to see if I can get access……it says I’m fully paid and won’t let me change anything. Look at the other reviews. This is far, far from a new thing and they are completely incapable of fixing it. Complete incompetence. They need to hire software people who know what they are doing because this is pathetic.

Worth no points
You’ve reached the maximum failed app update attempts and my account is closed. When I subscribed to WorthPoint in 2015 the app was perfect and critical for my business. Since then with each update it has cumulatively gotten worse. Most of the items I have sold that show up in their archive now list the “sold” price as the list price when I accepted lower offers. When I’m on location at a sale or helping with appraisals I constantly get locked out of the app with this password issue and there’s no time to go through the whole password process again. I don’t trust the app anymore and with all the free results available out there it’s not Worth anything to me anymore. In fact the last time I got locked out a few months ago I just quit using it and I’m not missing it one bit. 5 dollars a month maybe, 27 no way. Save it.

After 4 years, I’m giving up.
I want to love Worthpoint, but it’s just too increasingly frustrating. The glitches and especially the sign-in aggravation. I have changed my password so many times … almost every week I get locked out. I’m a tech-wise individual. I know how to type. This sign in lock out feature is crazy. I am an antique dealer, and I need to know the app is going to work when and where I want it. It’s too expensive for the frustration.

Just doesn’t work
Probably the worst app I’ve ever used, which is saying a lot. Unfortunately they have data that I need for business and they’re the only option. The app works every now and then, as does the website. I’ve written to customer service on multiple occasions and never even received a response (and I pay them $30 a month). They seem to be much more interested in raising money than actually offering their customers a decent user experience. Or even a user experience at all, because I can’t even use their app or website. Specific issues, all experienced on multiple devices and browsers (and sometimes = way too frequently): Sometimes no images load. Their platform is useless without images. Sometimes no items load. I enter a search term, and it says “43 results” or whatever, but nothing loads. Sometimes results are omitted for no reason on mobile/desktop when they show up on the other end. The search is complete garbage. You can’t use basic search engine functionality like “”, + or - to narrow and refine your results.

Can’t believe the app is still this bad
I’ve had WorthPoint for years. After the overhaul to “upgrade” to a more functional app, the user experience is still almost unusable. Nearly every search I do has an error while I’m scrolling the results. It loads the first few and then has an error with red letters and all results disappear. Redoing the search only yields the same error. Another quirk is when you tap the search bar to modify the query it simply slides back to a previous page where you have to tap the search bar yet again. The experience is a mixture of some clunky and some completely unusable. I can’t think of any features that are smooth or enjoyable to use. It’s been about a year of patience waiting for them to fix the app issues, and yet the issues persist. I was also hoping the increase in monthly price would help them to upgrade their own software wherewithal but I’ve also been left disappointed on that front. I do not advise subscribing to WorthPoint or downloading this app until the kinks are fixed. Which at this rate, could be another year or two.

How to paste items in title bar with iphone?
I Love the concept of this program but have troubles using it from my iphone. I like to cut and paste items i am searching or looking up. Most of the time it wont let me do this. I keep tapping and sometimes below the title bar it will say paste. Then you have to allow the paste every time you use this program. SO Annoying. I just did the latest update crossing my fingers!! Nope it didn’t help!! Sure hope you can fix this. I will continue to pay for the program praying for more improvements!

Don’t waste your money on outdated info and glitchy app
I have had issues with this app since day one. Won’t store log in info. Now has locked Me out of my account and says my email is invalid but are still charging me. It’s a joke. Not to mention prices for most things are literally years old. Stick with free info from eBay and other selling apps. This is a waste of money. Great idea but bad execution in my opinion.

Broken ui
Login as guest all the way at the bottom had to tap 20 time to get it to work. Wouldn’t let me use camera without at least enabling limited photo access. Tried to capture an image and click the confirm button but would never accept. Tried to give it a photo and it complained about having limited access and had to again fight with the ui to skip. Then it finally showed me some bad matches and said I had to upgrade my account to see the price. What a waste of time.

I thought you fixed the issues?!
Your responses below indicate that the login issue everyone keeps complaining about has been resolved as of months ago. So I paid for a month and sure enough, hours later I’m logged out and can’t get back in. The most basic UX of apps is the ability to log in. Clearly you don’t care enough to even fix this most basic of issues. Therefore I assume you also can’t be bothered to be accurate or up to date on your actual product. I’m canceling.

Not what it used to be
The site seems to only work half of the time. Customer service is nice but it’s basically like talking to an office IT department - uninstall and reinstall the app type of help. A lot of time is wasted also in the site no longer being very intuitive. It feels like there was a change in ownership or something and it’s no longer a great resource.

I just spent $38 dollars only to find that a google search with photos is way more accurate. If google didn't have a photo search maybe this would be a helpful app. It is waaay over priced for what it does/ what I need it to do and how well it actually works.

Too expensive.
I suppose this may be a decent app to have available if your a professional appraiser or your primary income is in reselling. That is assuming you’re doing either successfully. Otherwise it’s grossly overpriced. Not only is it wildly expensive but also it has to be paid monthly! If you’re a weekend thrifty person such as myself then I suggest you continue doing whatever you’ve been doing for years.

Still waiting for an update that actually fixes things
No I do not want face id. I want the app to stop logging me out or at the very least to remember my email and password when I enable remember me. is there a reason why new electronics don’t show up on the site? Is this service dying or is it going to continue to be a tool that I can actually use in the field? I guess I’ll wait for the next update… 💀

This app is the easiest way to identify what I come across at thrift stores and garage sales and whatnot. It’s taught me so much that I can better describe what I find when I go to sell it on eBay. A+!

Not a great sign when the app WON’T EVEN OPEN
I do have a worthpoint subscription online, thought I’d try this despite the terrible reviews. The dumb thing won’t open up - just a static intro screen with no way to X out of it. Absolutely absurd coding. Guess I shouldn’t have expected much from WP considering they had an “invest in us” banner that couldn’t be closed out of on their website for months!

You cannot see the price of anything unless you buy the trial. You can find things, but you can’t see the price. I just wanted to see the price of an item I have but I have to pay money in order to see it. Why can’t it just be an easy actually helpful app from the start?

Junk App - Technical Issues
Worked once then wouldn’t take my password after first use. Tried to reset it 5 times over 3 days. Kept saying my email address didn’t match. Lots of technical issues. I got frustrated and cancelled the subscription.

Zero Starts
I’m paying for a service I can’t even use. The website claims my account is “suspended@ and go to “settings” in the mobile app. THERE IS NOTHING LABELED “SETTINGS” IN THE MOBILE APP. The app indicates my subscribers is paid and up-to-date. There is no way to contact Worthpoint except by phone and they don’t answer.

Stay as far away from this app as you can
This app has barely ever worked for me since its latest inception and revision. Whenever I need it, it says internal error. Worst waste of money in my entire life. years ago it used to work properly but not anymore.

Website services are great, app is terrible.
I wish this app worked as well as their website did. Especially since I pay well to be a member of their site. I have reached out to them several times to report problems with the app and received slow and poor customer service. This app runs slow, even typing your item to search freezes and pauses. Often shuts down mid search. This is terribly inconvenient when I’m mid-auction bidding on something and trying to verify a value. Saved favorite items will disappear from my list, it will forget my saved log-in, and randomly closes out on its own with nearly every use. More functionality and service should be applied to their app service. It took over a week for my first email to get a response with very little remorse over my complaints and zero assistance with the problems. My responses to that email went unanswered until I resent them again and I was simply asked to uninstall/reinstall and make sure my phone was up-to-date on upgrades...Regardless that my prior emails mentioned doing all of the above already. Stuck between a rock and a hard place of needing this service, but about ready to tell them to cancel. Especially at $40 a month... very disappointing.

Too many bugs
After the latest update I’ve been experiencing several bugs that are becoming a real nuisance and really making me question if it’s worth the expensive subscription price I’m paying for this app. First of all, and most annoying, the app forgets my login info every time I exit the app so I have to log back in if I want to use it again, even if it’s only a few minutes later. Second, the search results show hundreds or even thousands of items found, but I’m only able to see/scroll through about 10 of them in some instances. Lastly, the app freezes on a regular basis when I try to scroll down too quickly. I use this app mainly at estate sales and I don’t see the point in paying this much if I can’t use it when I need it most. Please resolve the issues or I’ll have no other option but to end my subscription.

This is an absolute abomination of an app and it needs to be banned
Worthpoint is a price guide. That’s all it is. It’s not a bank, it’s not holding national security secrets, it doesn’t contain the cure for cancer. It’s a price guide. The website works like a charm, which is why people default to the website. And yet, you can’t use Worthpoint on your computer and on your phone at the same time because it’ll rip the time/space continuum of Worthpoint’s feelings of being cheated. You get thrown in jail. If you use the app with the wrong password ONCE, the app penalizes you for every move you make, even if that move is to log yourself out to log back in. Straight to jail. If you’re logged on the computer but forget to log off and you open the app… jail. The face recognition hardly ever works, but when it does - and it’s the 700th time you’ve changed the password since the new year… also jail. The importance Worthpoint places on itself, and the importance it *actually* is in the real world is such a vast chasm, it makes the app the worst abusive relationship I’ve ever had to face. I wish Worthpoint would realize they’re not a bank nor housing national security secrets - because it’s quite confusing why I have 50x more problems logging into a price guide than I do my American Express. All the good the brand created with a decent website is made trash for a bloated ego company with an app that hates the people who pay to use it.

What have you done?!?!?
This app used to be great, but now you have ruined it. When you search for values, if you use any of the filters or sorting functions your criteria disappears and you are shown the values of the entire 600 million or so items in the database. The gallery view is useless, as there is so little information there to use without clicking into each picture…..the pictures and descriptions are completely cut off and the date doesn’t even show up on that view. I tried to find a way to send these complaints through the app, but could not find a way to do so. Log in information needs to be entered pretty much every time you use the app…so NOT handy when you’re on the go, trying to make purchasing decisions!!

Update is unusable!
I have been using WorthPoint for 7 years. The app that was used before the December 2022 update wasn’t perfect, but was fine. This new version, however, is totally unusable. Dates and info are cut off in the thumbnails, and when you try the horizontal list option, you can’t click on the individual items at all! Biometrics don’t work at all, so why offer it? Filtering causes all sorts of havoc with your results and the whole app crashes over and over. It seems as though this app was created by someone who doesn’t even understand the very basics of what WorthPoint is used for. It’s absolutely mind boggling how bad it is. I have emailed my issues to WorthPoint, but the response was to re-download the app. I did and nothing has changed. What a joke, I never had an app actually make me angry before, congratulations WorthPoint!

Wow what happened?
I have been using this app for years. Your first app which was very quick and easy to use and then the last app version which was a bit more extensive and a little less user friendly but good resource's. This app is absolutely the worst! Definitely needed more work before you released it on us that depended on it. This app crashes every time I use it and is much less accurate when searching. Refining search terms seems to bring up everything but what you searched for! What happened? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Sometimes less is more. Image search is not great either. Super disappointing at this point. Really have loved your product over the years but this app is lacking for sure! Hardison@2022

Disappointed
I don’t know if I’ve ever been so frustrated with an app before, especially one that I pay a monthly fee for. First it never remembers my log in info then when I log in it takes me through a tutorial that I have to skip every time. I agree to let it use Face ID and it never remembers and makes me save it each time I log in. Almost every search I do ends with an error or no results. However the same search using their website comes back with results. It doesn’t work very well when applying filters and keywords are almost useless. This is a great database but the app is AWFUL. Please get it fixed. As a side note, I’ve never written a review for an app but I’m just so frustrated.

Pulling my hair out
Let me begin by saying that I NEVER EVER leave reviews, and worthpoint is a wonderful resource to have a a reseller, but that is as far as I can go with the compliments. I’m a long time user on both the app and website, and for years I have been secretly and frustratingly hoping that whoever’s grandmother designed them both would be fired or either croak. But somehow, she presses on to make quite possibly the worst, most cumbersome app I’ve ever used. Seriously, it’s as though the designers have never used a normal search bar and made up their own rules to how it should function. I will say they have worked out a few kinks that came with the new app, but major problems persist and I’m angry enough to leave a review, but not quite ready to drop them altogether… My advice to the owners of worthpoint is to find a new app developer. Preferably one who has used a smartphone at least once and has been on the internet in this century. Enough is enough. All joking aside, this is a horrible app and an expensive service. Please hire a legit developer and stop ripping off your customers simply because you are one of the only resources like this available. We’re all rooting for you ✌️

Update ruined the app
Unbelievable that I pay $30 a month for this service. The app was already hard to use with all of it’s existing bugs, but the update has pretty much ruined it. You can no longer scroll down at all without the search crashing entirely. The keywords in your search mean nothing - be prepared to scroll through every existing, unrelevant listing on worthpoint every single time you try to search for anything specific. The photo-search feature doesn’t work at all. I don’t understand why you would release this update publicly until working out most of these bugs that would be evident in the development phase of an app. Have yet to be happy using worthpoint services since I’ve started subscribing and am considering just doing without it at this point.

Logged out frequently…
I find the site itself to be invaluable and use it frequently to research items that I’m evaluating for consignment and sale. Where my annoyance comes from is that whomever developed the site doesn’t have the foresight to allow for multiple users on the same account, so whenever one person is using the account and a second person logs in, the first person is booted from the site / app. This happens frequently when I’m out at clients’ homes researching items while my staff is back at the office researching items. I’ve written multiple times via the contact page at Worthpoint with barely any reply. It’s an idiotic feature to an otherwise fine service.

Constantly having to log in
I wish this app wasn’t so frustrating because I use WorthPoint constantly and paid for the membership. The “remember me” login option times out and I keep having to remember my login info and renter the info (even with the face recognition option chosen.) I honestly do not need THAT much security from this app…my bank apps don’t even require this much security… the app has almost made me learn to live without WorthPoint as a resource because it’s so frustrating.

How do you ignore this many complaints?
For the subscription price that they charge, a functioning app is the LEAST that they could provide. From the looks of it, they probably developed this in-house in an effort to save money. Is it worth it? Every single review hates the app. Just pay up for a decent app developer and then you’ll have happy customers. Let me share something with you, WorthPoint: if you can successfully bring your platform to mobile devices, the money you invested on real developers will look like nothing compared to the new revenue you’ll bring in. The world is mobile and you’re not getting there with an outdated app that never performs properly. No one under the age of 35 will be using your service if you don’t fix this.

Update ruined it
This app used to work great but since the update it’s terrible. It takes me through the 4-5 step welcome thing every time I open the app, Face ID log in doesn’t work, and I’ve had to reset my password 2 times since the update because the whole process messes up and then it says my accounts been locked. The log-in issue is the big part that makes this app hard to use, but even when searching all filters have been added to a separate tab/page which is the dumbest thing. CHANGE IT BACK! Paying so much for this service and it’s not even accessible on the go which is when it’s needed most. If it’s not broke don’t fix it, and Listen to your customers if you don’t want to lose them!

Biggg step down in functionality from the old version
The old app may have been clunky and outdated, but at least it worked. As a paying Worthpoint subscriber I expect to be able to access sold prices, but every time I leave this app and come back to it, it’s stopped showing sold prices. So I have to log out and log back in. Then it does it again 2 minutes later. Most recently searches have been returning no results when the exact same search 5 minutes before returned hundreds. And the sort functions don’t work. Super frustrating. You’d think with the prices subscribers pay for the service, Worthpoint could come out with an adequate app. I’d recommend using the browser version until they iron out the bugs in this “improved” app.

Worthless not Worthpoint
This app does not function especially since the update. Continuously locks you out after 1 attempt even though the password is correct. The filter makes what you’re looking for almost impossible to find. The app frequently freezes and shuts down mid search. Search has to be precise down to the exact wording or it does not search. Being that people use numerous words to list and search for the same item this needs to be corrected. We do not recommend this app. Save your money and spend it elsewhere because this app could not be less functional. This service costs ALOT and has been a terrible investment for our business.

Bug fixes? Try again.
Continuously telling us you are fixing bugs, but you haven’t yet. Been frustrated with you guys for a while now. I’ve subscribed for a number of years, but I’m reevaluating the cost benefit, not to mention frustration. Same bugs as always, logs me out every time I close the app, app freezes, search function frequently doesn’t work AT ALL, when it does work I can only see a very small percentage of the results, and the longest running continuous issue of results that have absolutely nothing to do with my search. Create an action plan. Work your plan. Test your plan. Repeated failures? Fire people. Hire better people. Try again.

Do not update! Unless you already are having this problem.
The website seems to only pull up results for previous searches. So I figured I would use the trusty old app that seems to work better than the website. (Ooh look a update!) now I can’t even scroll past the results that pop up on my screen without it crashing every time! I won’t even get to the bottom of the first page of results! I will give Worthpoint a week to fix this and will be canceling my subscription to (worthlesspointless) If the problem is not resolved after that. iPhone 12 IOS 15.2
