Better than any podcast or documentary!!

I’ve sent invites to everyone I know! We need to support this app to become a household name! I NEVER pay for apps, they seem like money grabs to me, but I paid for a whole year for this app because I want to see this app grow! I listen to the audio stories while I walk my dog. I’ve never been a big fan of audiobooks, but this the most captivating experience I’m addicted to listening to instead of music while we walk or even in the car. And I save my quizzes to do while waiting for my kids or just down time at work or at night instead of doom scrolling on social media. The stories aren’t boring facts and figures, you are truly immersed in the world of Plato and the Cosmonauts and polar bears. You find yourself laughing and learning fun facts and truly asking yourself what’s next, how does the story end! My question to the developers is in my initial setup, I don’t think I clicked I’m interested in all the categories and topics, and I’m regretting that now. I think it’d be great to have access to topics I normally don’t expose myself to. How do I go back and click interest in anything from technology categories or WW1 stories or anything else I don’t think I initially clicked or get notifications as you add courses? I don’t want to have delete my account to set it all up again to make sure I’m accessing the full library. Please advise.

One of my all time favorite apps

As a lifelong learner and re-learner, this app has quickly become my favorite. I am so grateful to the developers for the work they've done to help us all become more well-rounded citizens of the world. I think the thing I love the most about this app is that it's so much more than a podcast - with quizzes that review what I've heard, I can really retain what I'm learning. That makes all the difference for me because I can learn both auditorily and visually. Quick but non urgent question : is there a way to get more daily quizzes in different categories? I subscribe for the paid version of this app but most days I only get one daily quiz, and the category is always nature. Don't get me wrong, I love learning about nature, but I like different categories too. Thank you again Yuno creators - I love this app so much!!!

Loving it!

This is a really great app to gain general knowledge and learn interesting facts! The episodes are short so it doesn’t require long attention span, and even busy people will have time each day for an episode. Each episode also ends with a summary with material points learned, which is quite helpful. I also love the quizzes that aim to assist your memory of the facts learned. Overall, highly recommended! However, I do have one question for the app developers, how do I activate the Review/ Practice function of the app? I have been taking quizzes for a few days but none appear on the Review/Practice function to allow me to review or practice the old quizzes. It would be my suggestion to make that function more intuitive as that is the main reason I chose this app; it helps you remember what you learned!

WOW!!!

I never EVER leave reviews for ANYTHING but I just have to for this. Thank you so much for creating this. I have a very successful career but I missed out on so much learning growing up because I was just trying to survive living in an extremely abusive household. I’ve been looking for something like this to help me learn what I missed out on. I have two teen boys and they have so much knowledge and information it blows mind and I realize how much common knowledge I am missing. This app makes me so happy I could cry. From the bottom of my heart thank you thank you thank you. The way the lessons are delivered in story format, the recap and the quiz, and all off the many lessons. And you made it so affordable too. I wish many blessings on the creators of this. This is going to be life changing for me. ❤️

Great Idea and app

The app is extremely useful and passionately narrates stories in a very interesting way! I just completed first two playlists and absolutely loved it! A new feature I’d like to see would be offline support and ability to download the quizzes and playlists for offline use. I’d love to be learning while I am on the go, maybe in the airplane when one has so much time available! There are some minor bugs when answering quiz questions with a little delay on the press of a button, however, this is something user can get used to while its being resolved. Anyway, great app, I know I am going to be using it a lot! Thanks to everyone who participated in making this app a reality and contributed to development of education!

Addicted!

Lifelong learner here! Also a busy mom, so I love being able to retain a little every day. This is my favorite app right now. I’m a history buff, so I love learning new little tidbits about some of the history I’m already familiar with. And I love being challenged by the quizzes. I think some of the reviews from a year ago do not reflect the app now. I think there’s plenty of content to keep me going for now. But as much as I love it, they better start adding more content quick! 😄 I wish there were more positive, useful apps like this one out there!

Fantastic

I am an elementary music teacher, and I am relearning so much in the music courses. Things I learned in college and had forgotten. Also gaining a lot of inspiration for ways to introduce the younger students to classical and romantic composers. I wish I could have this content in computer form and splice pieces to put in my lessons.. I would pay extra. On the side I am doing the regular courses following American history learning a lot about the founding of our country. Love the quizzes. This app is worth the subscription.

Great app so far, but more content is needed

This app is incredible and helps me keep learning outside my college classes and is essentially an educational podcast app, but it definitely needs more content. Finished the science section in the span of 3 days, only to find out that that’s all the course had. A section on biology, like the discovery of cells and DNA, or chemistry and its origins to today would be amazing! Gonna listen to other courses in the app until then, still a great app so far!

Good

Great! I’m able to finally understand history better. For the history section it should be in chronological order and cover history from the beginning. It’s hard to want to get into different time periods without context. I enjoy learning about the American revolution You could also add geology or politics but overall it’s good. I don’t know if I will keep using it after I cover the civil war cause my brain likes chronological order

Good App, Poor Support. Took my Money.

Good app for learning in small snippets but the support is lack luster. The way the app works is they give you “hearts” as an energy meter. Starting with 10 but after those are up, it only fills to 5. You lose them by getting questions wrong on the post-chapter quizzes. Gain them by waiting several hours. I lost all mine so I purchased 5 more. Didn’t get them. Figured it was a glitch, so I did it again. Didn’t get them. Checked my bank account and was charged both times. I emailed support asking for help and haven’t gotten a reply a week later. But they’ll be sure to email you everyday asking where you’ve been or what’s going on. And when you try to unsubscribe from those emails, it’ll take you to an Error 404 webpage so you can’t unsubscribe. For such a good app, these issues just sour the whole experience when they’re such simple fixes.

Amazing knowledge App!!

I just love this App, since I got this app I have learned so much and stopped waisting my time on social media and other unreliable sources. The stories are very well written and the narrator delivers each story so passionately and engaging that it gets your full attention The quizzes are awesome and very helpful to learn and also get your memory engaged I love listening to the stories while I go for my daily walks. This is a must have specisly for families with young kids . Also the customer service is outstanding!!! I had some issues and Cornelius was my representative and he was really really kind and helpful and took care of my issues in no time and really fast Thank you Yuno group for the awesome gift of knowledge that you are offering to everyone!!

Blown away! Thank you Devs

I hope they keep this app accessible without having to pay for a subscription because it’s awesome! The subscription just makes things more convenient but it’s not necessary in order to enjoy the app. I’ve learned so much already as I’m an auditory learner! The speaker is great and I love being able to brush up on my general knowledge. Thank you Yuno!

Free casual learning app

No hidden paid subscription needed is my favorite part. They have lessons broken up into shorter segments about 5-10mins long with little quizzes at the end to help you remember. It’s fun and above all it’s free and not filled w ads. There’s different categories to choose from and you can jump around to different lessons. Definitely worth downloading.

Actually love it

Didn’t expect it to be this good. The way it’s structured makes you want to tune into the next lesson (or story) and quizzes are something to look forward to! Super surprised to find that it’s truly a free app without any strings attached. How refreshing. Really excited for more content to be added - especially for the history and science categories.

Loving this app

I just got this app and I decoded each week to focus on a new category and rotate that way. I am loving it so far. This week was History. I was wondering new content will be added periodically or is wha tis there be it and once you finish you finish?

Learning made painful

Great concept, poor execution. This app could have been worth a premium charge, but instead it demonstrates what is wrong with today’s education system. History told in tedious detail, focused on too many unnecessary elements at a failed attempt to create a visceral response from the word constructed environment. The colorful writing suffocates the listener rather than breathes life into a story. Too much focus on speculative thoughts and feelings rather than actual events and outcomes. This one missed the mark for me.

Lack of Accessibility

I love the concept of the app but my brain processes information much quicker than the general population, and the app doesn’t have an option to change the playback speed. It feels like listening to a story in slow motion for me and it’s semi unbearable. It would also be amazing if the app had the text viewable in addition to the audio. Accessibility should not be an after thought.

Great idea but needs more content.

I love the idea of this app. However it still seems pretty new and lacking content, most of the genres are “coming soon”. Should be free until all content is up, if not its not worth the money. Either way, audios are fun to listen to and gives you interesting topics. (Would love an astronomy one!)

Good so far

Most of these apps that are marketed on ig make you download it for free. Then when you go through the app they make you pass a subscription just to use the app. This one does ask you to subscribe but you could still listen without having to pay. Let’s see how good this app is 🤷🏽‍♂️

Tesla quiz question unsolvable

It’s impossible to put the events of his life in order in the Tesla quiz. Other than that, love the app. Listened to it during a family road trip in Revolutionary and Civil War country and it really made the trip extra educational.

Enjoying the app

I really enjoy this app. The story readers are great to listen to. My only suggestion is that we could get closed captioning to the stories. Reading and following along helps comprehension and keeps focus.

App seems shady

I downloaded it thinking it would be interesting but upon asking to confirm email it took me straight to a dead website error. I cancelled the subscription and afraid I will still get charged since they have my info now. Theres no way to check settings on the app either. Now I gotta change all my passwords and hope this app doesnt try to charge me and hack into my phone. If i get charged, im reporting you guys for fraud/scam

Really enjoy listening in the car…

Very cool way to brush up on some knowledge. We listen to it to and from school. We all enjoy leaving the car with more smarts than we entered with. Recommend!!!

Great app for learning

This is one of the best apps I’ve found to learn a plethora of information in which I knew, but didn’t know. Sometimes you need stuff like this too figure life out.

Really awesome idea for an app

Duolingo but for history was the perfect comparison of what this app is like. Stories and narrators that I’ve listened to so far are very compelling as well

Downloaded Today

I downloaded the app today, and I tried to watch the first story, and it worked good until about halfway through. It keeps involuntarily pausing the video. I have to press play, and then like two seconds later it pauses again. So I’m constantly having to press play. Idk how I’m going to enjoy the app if it does this, so is there a reason it might be doing it?

Great concept!

I love the idea of this! The only thing is that I wish they would show the transcript of the episode. I’m a visual learner not an auditory one. So it would be helpful to read what is being said versus just listening.

No options beside audio that I can find?

So, basically if you have a hearing impairment or are neurodivergent, you can’t reasonably use this app? Disappointing. Ftr, I wanted to use this is an environment where headphones or audio use would be prohibitive. Disappointing. Hopefully CC or transcripts will be added in a future release.

Good app but weird passive aggressive notification

I’ve had a lot going on these last few days. I wasn’t expecting a notification saying “not for you, I guess”. I have NEVER gotten a notification like this for not using an app and frankly it was weird and came off passive aggressive.

App crashing

My app is crashing during the re-cap at the end of each lesson. Is it because I am not a subscriber? I have only been using the app for a few days and I am enjoying so far with this small exception.

Terrific premise, disgusting use of AI

The images are horrible, ugly, and completely take away from the message of a lot of the lessons about uplifting humanity and the arts. The AI art as well as AI voice is completely nonnegotiable and utterly disappointing. I would pay hundreds of dollars for a year of a premium service like this one, if only it didn’t use AI

Help … extremely difficult to cancel

I accidentally ordered a trial a couple days ago and I want to cancel as I do not to pay for this app . I followed the directions from the help contact however both options did not work ! I’m frustrated and spending a lot of time trying to cancel !

Great for Learning

I’ve enjoyed using this in the mornings. It’s well done any accessible for just about anyone. However I find it strange they pride themselves on not using AI for questions, yet most images are clearly AI generated. Not great.

Garbage

I saw this app hoping it would be HALF if what they promised. This is a terrible app. They pretend they have categories to learn from but over half aren’t completed yet. Just straight garbage. I hope they don’t try to take my money after a 7 day free trial and I spent all of 5 minutes on the app before I deleted it. Don’t get!

Not worth the download

I like how every time I’ve seen it be advertised it supposed to be a free app and then you get on you have to pay 30 dollars. Not worth it at all. And it’s just a whole bunch of storytelling. This isn’t real straight to the point knowledge they’re giving out.

Makes learning easy and accessible

I don’t typically recommend apps, but this is my favorite app I’ve ever used. It’s so good actually that I plan to buy the better version, just to support their mission, but you certainly don’t have to. I love learning and I know a lot of my weak points are in history. I didn’t pay attention well or retain much information from my education, when it comes to history. It was always my worst subject. Now that I’m older I’ve grown to love it! I feel like my foundational knowledge is really lacking and that I need a lot of refreshers, especially when it comes to American History. This app is really fun, the narrator is amazing, and it’s in small manageable chunks that are easy to understand and digest. I’m retaining the information that I learned, which is great. Making this app free is honestly such a good mission, for people who can’t afford this and still have access to knowledge, it’s wonderful. This app could absolutely charge for its services, but it doesn’t force you to. I find myself wanting to pay for it, just to support its continued success. I just love this app and the people who made it. People who want to help give access to important pieces of culture and history. I truly enjoy listening to an episode and then sitting down with my husband and talking about what we learned together. It’s turned into a fun way of having interesting things to talk about. YuNo, thank you so much for helping me understand more about important historical events in a way that I really enjoy!
