Was skeptical but luckily surprised!
I was skeptical booking through this website because the price they were offering for the hotel I stayed at in Las Vegas was almost too good to be true. But I took the risk and I’m glad I did! They give you the total price right before you book and will tell you there if you have to pay any resort fees once you arrive and thankfully to my surprise it was all accurate and I got a great hotel for a great price!

Refund request
This is to alert Everyone. I recently purchased a room, where it clearly stated that I would be able to cancel if done before November 17, with a complete refund. Well come to find out. The cancellation policy on my booking email was in a completely different language. Apparently once you purchase you room. The information changed and so is a language you won’t know so that it now states. My entire email was in English, except that part. What a coincidence. So, I tried to reach out to the company and just got the run around from the person who was handling my situation. This is very frustrating and disappointing. It’s like a scam, fraudulent behavior, dishonest. I asked to speak to a manager and the call/chat was disconnected. I have yet to get an answer or a refund. So please be aware of you booking email and check the cancellation portion where it changes into a different language. You can take screenshots, etc and they will not honor it. At least that was my experience. This was my first time using this app. Do not recommend.

Avoid ZenHotels at all costs
Do not book with this travel agency they are a fraudulent company and scammers. I booked a hotel stay in June and the hotel granted me a partial refund for inconveniences. The hotel informed me and provided receipts and evidence that ZenHotels / Expedia Groups received the refund from the hotel. It’s been over 30 days and ZenHotels today is still REFUSING to refund me the money. Customer service and their managers are incompetent and won’t give me a yes or no if they’ll refund me or a timeframe of when I should receive the refund. It’s been a month and they just give me the run around. Very poor services all around! The website is so laggy, the customer service is terrible, avoid this company at all costs!

Sketchy prices and horrible customer service
I was trying to book the room in Rixos Borovoe Hotel, very luxury hotel. And prices for the night on this app - “zen hotels” was lower then on the other websites. So I emailed them with the question: if the listed price on their website is the final price and I won’t end up paying anything extra at the hotel upon arrival? After a couple back and forth automated emails, instead of giving me any answers they just bumped the price on their website😑 Still no response! Seams like scam…be careful!

The wrost booking app all time.
When I went to my hotel I spent 1 hour in the lobby waiting because the manager says that I have no reservation in his hotel but I made my reservation 1 week before I got there. He also ask me for additional charge because as he said what I paid on zen hotel was only for the reservation. They never mentioned this on the app. I got upset and leave. Asked for refund but they stole my money. Don’t try this app it’s a complete mess. I wish I could gave them less than 1 star

ZenHotels is a joke
Gave the app 2 stars just for functionality and user friendliness. The website claimed the app has lower prices; it does not. Prices were 10-20% higher on the app than on the website. Tried booking online and every time I went to pay, it kept saying oops no more rooms are available anymore but I would refresh it and they would be there again but at a higher rate.

Error Messages Up the Yin Yang
Tried to book on a desktop from work, called customer service, was told the error message was due to technical difficulties. Followed all steps advised by Zen Hotels rep, cleared cache, waited the recommended time etc, same thing happened again. Then I called again, this time I was advised to download the mobile app, wait an hour and potentially change the form of payment. Talk about shady! Save yourself the trouble and Go SPLITTY! they truly saved the day.

Fraud
After reading the previous reviews, I realize that my experience is not alone. There is technical error and wrong rooms were booked. Although it takes 5 hours to solve the incident during the vacation. The problem is finally solved. Thanks a lot to Alyona R. who helped.

Fabulous Customer service
I have had a nightmare of a vacation this year. ZenHotels has been fabulous through it all with getting a hotel to cancel my booking free of charge to making sure I wasn’t charged twice. And made sure I was in the right hotel. Great customer service!!

They had a better support, once
They don't have support for previous days like booking dot com, so if you book now, now, you gonna sleep at the lobby until it's ""officially"" the next day. They will not let any human error pass. Even though we humans might make a mistake, they will not understand. It's given that they have better prices 60% of the time, but good God, try to make a mistake and they shall feast on it. Last year, they had a considering support, however now it is a different story, I just updated this 3 years old rating on the App Story to one-star after a horrific experience with them

Fraud!
ZenHotels you are an absolute fraud!! My paid reservation was never paid to the hotel and I had no reservation at all! I am getting sure that this message is distributed everywhere, you should be removed from all the search engines, and start doing illicit businesses instead of scamming tourists with your fraud.

Beware….
I booked a hotel through this site. When I showed up, I was told I was scammed! They will take your money! Thankfully the hotel had one room left but we had to pay much more than planned for the weekend. We heard this happened during a holiday weekend and and hotels were booked in the area!

False information about Avid Hotel in Summerville SC
Site has inaccurate information. First of all hotel is in Summerville, not Ladson. There is no swimming pool, laundry facility or meeting room. Photos include property photos as well as that of another hotel. Correction needed immediately.

Rip off deals triple the original price
I downloaded this app to get a hotel for $135 from a travel app, falling for ZenHotels “get a better price downloading Zen app”. After downloading this app the same hotel price was triple the price.

Enables dishonesty by hotels
While resort fees are not zenhotels doing, the app and service enable the dishonesty by not including them in the prices - which makes the app essentially useless because you cannot compare bad actor clip joint hotels from honest ones

Bait and Switch
Do not trust this app. We booked a hotel on Milos through Zen Hotels only to arrive and learn the hotel and agent had an agreement we were not privy to. I’ll never trust Zen Hotels again and would give it zero stars if possible.

MISMOS HOTELES MÁS BARATOS QUE EN OTRAS APPS
Me gusta comparar mucho las apps de hoteles y por lo menos en Italia siempre fueron más baratos por esta app, además es muy fácil de usar y es muy específica en todo lo relacionado a las reservas. Algo interesante es que tiene los comentarios de Tripadvisor directamente. Por qué digo que interesante, hice una reserva por Booking y encontré un hotel con muchos comentarios, resultaron siendo falsos y el alojamiento una estafa, ahora estoy en disputa de cargos y otras cosas incomodas con esa aplicación, por esto es bueno que traiga comentarios directos de otras apps.

Be aware
Calling Zen to work out issues with my booking did result in a $19.71 international phone call fee on my phone bill for two 3 minute calls to request my money back since they charged my card for Tim’s that were not available.

Lied about relocated until the prices for every other hotel went up
Zen Hotels screwed me over for my upcoming trip. They lied and then last minute try to say they can’t relocate us and then when we forced them to the only option was a moldy hotel room with a worse rating then our original room. I had my Hawaii trip broken up in 3 parts. (July 23-26 with booking.com in Maui; July 26-28 with Expedia in Hilo; and then July 28-August 1 in Kona with Zen Hotels). The 1st and 2nd part went off without any problems. When it came to the Zen Hotel portion they emailed me on Saturday the 17th that they need to relocate me to Royal Kona resorts (without instructions). When I saw this on Monday the 19 I called and they said it wouldn’t be a problem and to email back which I did and they said I will receive a new booking # within 24 hours. I didn’t receive a new booking #, so I called every day and each day they said I will receive a new confirmation code within 12-24 hours and promised me I will be relocated. I have screen shots and voice recordings of them promising me to relocate and even asked if they can get backup locations ready in case the Royal Kona did not go through. Today (after I’m already on the Big Island), they informed me they could not relocate me [meanwhile prices surged upwards in the last week]. So I was basically forced to pay a high last minute Hotel rate because they lied. I confronted them about their lies and talked to a lawyer. It was only then and me taking an entire day off of my vacation to talk to them that they found only one option that satisfied our dates. The hotel they found has multiple reviews about mold/cleanliness concerns and my fiancée is highly susceptible to mold with high mold allergies, but they could care less about their health even though two of their vendors (Courtyard Marriott & Sheraton) had available standard rooms. Now we are stuck in a hotel that has worse reviews then we originally booked with health concerns for my fiancée and only got that after countless phone calls/customer support chats/e-mails and almost the entire day today explaining how they tried lying about their promises. To make it worse, they admitted to not contacting the Royal Kona resort until days after they promised which is why it wasn’t available.
