This app has helped me have my daughter ready for the bus in the am and me ready to stop work and go out and get her in the pm. You can set different zones so when the bus hits that zone you are notified. I have a “Get shoes on!” Zone which gives us about 8 minutes to get shoes, coat and backpack on. The next zone is “Bus is here” when it is coming around the corner so we have enough time to walk out. In the afternoon I set the zone when the bus is about 5 minutes away so I can get things settled at my desk and walk out to get her. Only thing I would to see improve is the load/refresh time otherwise it would be 5 stars.
It has been 3 years the school my son attends has used this app. It’s great when it works, but it constantly has problems. They don’t answer help questions and the school says to contact the app so nothing gets solved. The school says they have a rep, but doesn’t seem like they get much help? If the app developers don’t answer help tickets how can they make the app work? If the issues is student safety and the schools are paying this app money to help with that and it doesn’t work? I am starting a petition for my sons school to search elsewhere for an app that cares about kids safety. Technology isn’t perfect, but when the company doesn’t respond it shows their intentions.
When it works, it’s very useful. So far this school year, the bus has not shown up on the map, but I at least still receive notifications when it enters each zone I’ve created. I also keep getting notifications for the elementary bus route, despite having removed that bus from my settings. I’ve already tried reinstalling the app and creating a whole new account to fix these issues, yet they persist. I’ve also emailed the developers, received a quick reply, but then no further response to my request for help, and the problem hasn’t been fixed.
When it’s working this app is decent at showing you where the bus is. But there are some glitches/problems. 1. If there is a substitute bus driver or if bus switches due to mechanical issues, you don’t get notified 2. Some days it just doesn’t work… no notifications, no bus showing on the map, nothing. 3. If your bus crosses your “zone” multiple times, you get notified. For instance, after picking up our kids, the bus drives past our street again after picking up additional children and turning around. More annoying than a problem but wanted to note that.
Our school district switched to this app this week and I already hate it. 1) It is SLOW. Every time I open it, it loads a map of Lebanon, Nebraska for 7+ seconds and then *eventually* refreshes with a map of our area. 2) It is inaccurate. Sometimes it shows me where the bus is. Sometimes it shows me where the bus was 10 minutes ago. Or 4 minutes ago. You have to tap on the bus icon to see what time it was actually at that location. I have set the refresh rate to 15 seconds but that hasn’t made a difference. Even quitting and restarting the app doesn’t force the bus location to refresh.
Like a lot of districts, we have bus and driver shortages. This means we get notifications at least twice per week of delays Every time there is a delay, that’s when things stop working. No bus appears, or a bus with a different number appears, but on the map that bus never leaves the depot. So we’re stuck looking out the window watching and waiting. There’s not a lot of transparency so it’s not clear why the app doesn’t work ( is this an app problem or a problem with our dispatch not using the program correctly?). Nothing in the FAQ helps. Either way, pretty much useless when you need it most.
I have submitted multiple help tickets over the years. Called the school district to also notify them to no avail. I’ve tried to use this app for 2-3 years now and it has never worked. Buses don’t show up on the gps but I get bus entering notifications, buses I don’t even follow show up sometimes. I don’t even know why my district uses this and pays for it if it never works. So many bad reviews. I just ended up buying my kids gizmo watches from Verizon and now I can track them and more with zero problems, not one.
When it’s working it’s a great app to have. Main downside is it’s not always 100% accurate and sometimes it seems to be more on a timer than tracker. Had a few canceled school days where we were notified the bus had trashed the school, when in fact the buses were not running that day.
The app says it cannot find my student. I’ve submitted several help tickets with no response. I was able to speak to someone from their tech support at the beginning of the school year and I was told its a transportation and school issue not theirs. I was told either the school or transportation entered the student information wrong. I contacted the school and transportation department and verified that we all have the same information. I’ve been submitting tickets for assistance since August with no reply, and it’s now October 28th.
Had to finally write a review because this app is terrible. The app may or may not work and customer support is non-existent (I’ve tried to contact them about 6 times), yet I find myself opening it up in the hopes that today it will work. The app has great intentions but hardly works. It’s difficult to know the real-time location of the school bus - and that’s the app’s whole objective. I don’t know why our bus company uses them. Hopefully the app developer reads the reviews and improves things. Lol - yeah right.
It doesn’t pickup if there’s no cell service in the area.. which makes it useless for most of West Virginia schools. I’m the last house before service drops so it works when my son is coming home from school but doesn’t pick up in the mornings until after the bus arrives in my driveway. Has great potential and works wonderful where there’s service but mornings are when I need it most.
In the 3 weeks I’ve been trying to use this app it’s been one problem after another. Today finally seems like it’s working, go to check on the kids bus, and it says “we are experiencing high traffic, please try again later” It’s freaking dismissal time he is on his way home, of course everyone is accessing. This is the worst experience with a school app I’ve ever had, worst that my school bucks app if you can imagine!
I love the concept of this, but the morning bus location always freezes up about 4 miles from our house and at that point we have no idea how many stops or how much time is left until our stop. Additionally, many times I receive zero notifications even when the bus enters my defined zones and the afternoon bus doesn’t show up on the map despite the fact that I have it selected. These downfalls render the app mostly useless for me.
Thanks to MyView I have the peace of mind knowing where my child and their bus is at all times. The alert zones and buses to follow were easy to add. With a quick and effortless set-up this product is the best available on the market, I recommend it!
I love the concept and design. I think it is very user friendly and intuitive. It was easy to set up initially with alert zones. Now that it is all connected, I can also see where the bus is fairly accurately. My lower rating is based on the feature I need to rely on the most is not at all accurate - alerts. Alerts come in 20-30 min after the event happens, defeating the purpose.
No notifications nothing. Just a view of a map no more than my own maps app on my phone. I have let them know and nothing. It’s been this entire school year. So 3 almost 4 months and nothing. I really wish someone would come out with something that ACTUALLY works. Especially when the bus is going to be over an hour late with our kids. Incredibly frustrating!
It allows to check where the bus is. Also it provides notifications when bus approaches my stop so we don’t need to stay outside (really convenient in winter)
When the app works it’s a great tool for getting the kids to the bus stop on time. Problem is it doesn’t always work. Why does it seem to glitch on the day they go back to school after a few days off?? With unmotivated kids at the end of days off that’s when it should be working the most 😳
The app shows a bus icon in a completely unrelated area to the path of my daughters bus. It looks like it’s parked in central Los Angeles near Compton Boulevard. I am receiving zero notifications and submitted feedback to the developers from within the app last week but did not receive a response. My wife’s app is also not working and she deleted the app then recovered it and signed in again but still the same issue.
I have two buses to keep track of and half the time, one of them doesn’t show up on the map until it’s dropping my daughter off at school. Not helpful at all if you’re trying to watch for the bus in the morning. Tried contacting support with no response or resolution.
This app is extremely helpful, when it is working correctly. However it seems to be sporadic. It consistently informs me of the afternoon locations but it keeps dropping the morning bus, which is the one I need to know the most.
I noticed over a series of days that it keeps logging out and as such I never get the notifications and I keep having to login at least once a week. Please fix it otherwise, a good solid five stars for operation..
This app can be very frustrating at times. There’s times the app doesn’t recognize my log in and says it’s not on file. The app will be disabled for some odd reason and can no longer use to track my children.
Half the time it doesn’t even work says the server is busy. The other times it is so slow to update where the bus is. Sometimes you get notifications but most of the time you do not.
I was excited to have an app that would reinforce my child telling me when they board, get to school, or get off to walk a few houses home. Seriously disappointed we are a week into school and still nothing. I’ve emailed transportation twice to get help, with no response. Ugh.
Hadn’t worked once. Terrible. Have contacted via email but no response. Every time it loads it loads with a different city or country it has never once given a bus update or notification. Glad it was free because at this point I just deleted it.
This app has so much potential to be a great app, if it actually worked . But sadly it doesn’t . half of the time it doesn’t refresh , so you think it’s updated only to find out it hasn’t updated in 5 minutes. I got frustrated so unset the settings to try to get it to refresh and now my bus no longer shows up at all. I tried deleting the app and reinstalled and still nothing. It just jumps to my home zone and stays there. Thankfully school year is almost done…
Our school district switched to this app and I feel that it’s the worst. I use to to keep track on my kid that rides a different bus and it’s hard to keep him updated when the bus literally doesn’t move on the app. Horrible app by far
This app told me my bus was in my zone. (my personalized zone thing, which expands or makes your zone smaller was as big as it could be!) and right when it said it was in the zone the bus was outside! My dog wasn’t in her kennel and she is alone inside right now. The front door isn’t locked!
Half the time, the notices are 2 stops behind. Also, trying to add my son’s routes for this year and I have to add the bus number. The number we were sent doesn’t show up in a search and I can’t go any further. Please fix your app!!!
Great in theory, TERRIBLE in practice. This app NEVER works in the morning like it’s supposed to. It’s especially fun with tired kids and rain. In the afternoon it only SOMETIMES works.
I missed my bus because I was checking the app and it show my bus in the same location for 45 mins not moving then I called my friend and it came 30 mins ago the app is glitched don’t get it
This app is horrible. When I open it it goes to Nebraska and my school is in Central Indiana. It never sends alerts. The only reason I have this is because my kids’ school got it. Would give no stars if I could.
always makes sure i’m to my bud on time by letting me know when it’s entering the neighborhood, can have some issues connecting at first but works great.
The alert zone notifications don’t work at all. Ive submitted support requests several times and they go unanswered. This is a waste of the school’s money.

Most days the bus doesn’t show on the map. When/if the bus number changes, I am unable to change it by selecting a new bus. Simply put, it’s unreliable and I’m done using it.
