Love the app, but it needs customizable categories to be even more useful
This was the only app on the store that allowed effective tracking of the 168 hours in the week. The interface allows quick reflection and logging what was done over a day. To analyze where time was spent however, the categories are fixed and don’t work well. The app could be a lot better and useful with customizable names for the categories and allowing at least 4.
As an active professional, father of 2 boys, husband, and juggling a lot of hobbies and interests, I’ve found it really easy to get bogged down in the day to day and not make progress on things that are creative/strategic, and also my own health. 168 does a fantastic job of making it easy to keep an eye on how time is being spent without demanding hours of time-accounting. It makes it easy to keep demands in check and make sure you’re spending time on stuff that’s important to you.
168 helps you balance how you spend your most precious asset, your time. It gives you a quick and simple way to track your time and a unique tool to analyze how you spend your time each week. When you enter an activity in 168, you also identify that activity's focus (choosing from tasks, health or creative). This is the key to 168. Clarifying the focus of each of your activities helps you understand not just what you did, but why. 168 then allows you to take a look at how your week is turning out, with the use of the balance info graphic which breaks down the week by hours spent on each focus type.
