I may not be no professional but…

I may be no professional but this app is a generally great app, the only thing that’s a bit of a problem is that I tried to make a model then import it into a app ‘Roblox’ so I could make an item, when I tried to press import it said.. BUY PREMIUM??? Like gurl I want to make a avatar item without getting charged, yeah I know it says “App paying features” or what ever but I’m just a girl that wants to make Robux for free by selling UGC, I ain’t in for buying stuff to do stuff with other apps, yeah I know blender is a option but that’s to confusing for my 2 braincells to understand, don’t get me wrong it’s a great app and it does teach you how to make 3D models, sorry if this is to mean but, I don't like that it includes getting premium to actually get anywhere, like why can’t you use premium to use like better tools, or make something better quality or just make the app price like 4 or 5 dollars, but besides that I don’t really see the need for premium, and even if you get premium your gonna pay for that till you in debt, I’m sorry but I don’t think premium make no since, from your’s truly Please just fix that, please

Great Light Modeling

This is really what I’ve been looking for to do some light modeling. Some parts take some getting used to and some tools are tricky, but it works great and makes fairly clean models. I even transferred in and out of Maya with no problems. Most importantly I can use reference images and they stay fixed in place unlike the critical missing feature of Forger were the reference image moves with the perspective camera. Still haven’t used UV mapping or too much materials and textures yet, but seems pretty good so far. One request: Please make it easier to organize folders and save files in folders. I found if I rename a file with “folder name/file name” this would put a file within a folder. I would really like to see a “save as..” function and a “move” function just to help organize things better. Why? Because I’m using this app a lot! Hooray!

Best 3D Modeling Software on the App Store, Unfortunately a Low Standard.

I understand that this isn’t the Blender team, but please consider increasing the polygon limit. It’s hard to do multi object scenes. Extrapolating from blender perf, seems each Gb of ram can handle about 250K polygons, way higher then the 100K polygon limit on my IPad 9th gen 3GB. If this isn’t possible, adding an automatic retopo option would be very helpful for importing models from elsewhere. Only complaint I have of the app. Other than perf issues like this overall it is very accessible and user friendly, and I’m sure as the team gets more experience and on average hardware gets faster extra scope could be added such as animation and physics. Most apps on the App Store for modeling are either horrible or have even worse monetization schemes. Honestly it only needs to improve a little bit for it to be parity with blender in most user cases. Unfortunately a low standard for 3D work on mobile but I can always hope for better.

Useful tool!

Fanfriggintastic, I really have no issues with this app as it makes for a great portable solution for blocking out models and game levels, the only thing i would highly recommend is the ability to add to your own library locally on your device. Then you could drag and drop your own primitive shapes, modular pieces and prefabs if you will. Also the ability to change the objects origin so you can adjust how it sits when you drop the model into the scene. Just that alone would make using this more fluid, allowing for quick prototyping, as everything else is basically perfect considering hardware limitations. It’s basically now the first step in my workflow before exporting to blender and fine tuning, great work really!

Definitely don’t recommend

I tried this because I thought it might be fun I was so wrong. My first peeve was the mechanics they were so annoying because you can’t just normally turn the camera and with the navigation you can get lost so easily. I also didn’t like the fact that there was no female presets for full bodies and no male presets for just the head and i tried sticking the female head to the full body but that was impossible because of my third problem . My third problem was that the move tool while sculpting just made the and look wavy and not human in the slightest. Another thing that bothered me was the paint tool because sometimes when you try to paint one pixel another pixel will be painted at the same time and it’s not just the pixels right next to it it’s the pixel 5 pixels away And it make it seem like the developers were too lazy to make assets for all of the pieces and they just copied some put them in other places and moved on it makes the game seem cheaply made and lazy. Anyway if you want a tool that’s easy to use this is definitely not for you

Unusable (and probably a russian spy)

This app is completely unusable. It has a function where you can edit the X, Y, and Z variables of a line or face, however you can only edit one of them and to try to edit the rest you have to somehow change it to make it light up in the corner. Sometimes this is completely impossible, especially with the Z axis. Another thing is the extrude tool, which will sometimes give you a result you expect, and sometimes be 0.1 off of whatever you put in. Cubes are impossible to manipulate as they never scale correctly, and when you extrude them, the new face is almost always a slightly different size, making perpendicular angles impossible to achieve at times. Putting two objects flush with each other is completely undoable. Even when you set the 2 objects to the same size and put the same Y value in for their positioning, one will always be above the other. Try it with a new object, and you’ll get a third height. Sometimes this app will randomly change languages to russian. Bad app.

Some updates urgently needed.

Overall I find this a great 3d modeling app but just with one issue. You can set grid snaps for the angles but its limiting, You can only set it to a 15 degree angle snap or just none at all, I really think there should be the ability to customize that along with the grid snap. BUT… The biggest issue I had with this app (and why I’m rating it 3 stars) is that you Can’t change the resize snap grid!!! This means that if you want to resize all sides of the square bigger to an exact size, your gonna have to turn on shape length, and then PRECISELY adjust the size to the second decimal. Which becomes really annoying for when you let go from the screen and it changes its size due to the movement of your fingers, making it not precise at all. I highly suggest adding this as I think it would benefit more people than just me. If this does get added, then I will happily change the 3 stars to 5 stars. Thanks!

Amazing!!!

For iPhone, this is possibly the best 3D rendering app out there!!! I highly appreciate this app. I’m trying to practice 3D modeling for video game asset creation, and it is serving its purpose! I do have a request! It will be nice if I could mix material with textures. For example, I create an item that has a matte material, with a Voroni diagram texture. Also, I would like to have at least a simple volume shader. (This would be ideal for objects that glow or for something that has an outer coating, like a planet atmosphere.) A few built in textures would also be nice. Otherwise, great job!!! By the way, if you’re reading this and you wrote a review that says it is a hard app to use, try Blender 3D. That is what you call hard!!!

Great But it’s fair share of issues

I am new to 3D Modeling this app helped out so much. I would recommend it to any new person to 3D Modeling App. Someone who doesn’t know much about it but wants to get into it. This is a must for anyone in that category but has issues like I don’t know if you can round out like the edge of an object like a square and if you can rent out the edges but I don’t think you can cause I don’t remember anything in the tutorial that said that. And that is super annoying when I’m trying to create something specific and there’s one more when I try to duplicate or delete an object sometimes it won’t do it. It just won’t do anything which is really annoying sometimes but overall is a must for everyone who is new to 3D Modeling App

Good, but Mostly Bad.

Just yesterday I downloaded this app - in hopes of designing a 3D version of a necklace I’m obsessed with creating. One that’s never been sold before, and yet a main character on a show wears it all the time. The problem with that wasn’t the chain - I was more focused on the charm. The star (basic one. the body of the padlock thing), came out close to perfect, after hours of hard work. I then went onto the top of the lock - the curved quarter oval, as seen on most bike lock type mechanisms. I tried the torus ( my best bet.) I edited it to be flat, but once done I couldn’t go back. the torus was now 2D. Overall, there aren’t enough shapes to create something like the bike shown above. You’d have to be very expierienced - yet I’m a middle schooler, and I just wanted to have fun with it. Then here’s the real kicker - my iPad ran out of battery. This app sucked it right up. And the thing is - they never tell you how to save your work. So when my device restarted… my precious, half done charm was gone. Splat- dead. Forever. there isn’t a dashboard - at least, they don’t tell you about one. This app has a good, simple interface, but there is so much more bad than good. I do not recommend. Merci beaucoup, 3D Modeling. (That’s sarcastic)

pretty good, but theres a LOT of stuff locked behind premium

im pretty much brand new to 3d modeling, just using this to make things easier for drawing my comic. so far it works great. rotating flat objects can be a bit annoying but thats likely because again, i’m brand new to this. the only real problem i have is that it’s advertised as a free app, but when you go to add an asset, each category only allows you to use two models if you don’t pay for premium. to be fair it’s actually fairly cheap all things considered, i’m just kind of broke haha. but yeah other than that it seems to be pretty great so far, and i appreciate that the creators seem to look at and respond to the problems people encounter in the reviews

Simple and functional… mostly

I don’t use the paid version of this app since the free version has been functional enough for my needs so far. Today, however, a week’s worth of work went to waste when I accidentally deleted my 3D object and the undo function would not bring it back. I had attempted undo immediately after it happened but it was gone. All of the work I was about a day away from exporting (a function you have to pay for) just GONE in a stupid, easy mistake. I’m infuriated that something as stupid as an undo button ruined my entire project. If you’re going to use this app for important projects, especially on your phone, don’t let your finger slip or it might disappear into the void.

Amazing!

This app has changed every thing! I just got my fist phone as a 5th grader and I’ve always had a taste for 3D stuff, that’s when I found this app! And it was game changing even though there are some stuff that could be fixed like the sculpting thing and there are some things that could be added like a shape creator to we’re you can create your own shape but other then that this app is great especially when I cain’t play my games when my time limit is up I can just come to this and get too work. And I do have the new iPhone 14 so I have long lasting battery so I have no battery problems. But yeah this app is the best so I hope they keep making updates.

Constant crashing

I use an ipad air, and when i was using this it kept crashing my ipad. When i first downloaded the app and tried to get on it froze the screen, the video i had on in the background kept playing and i had to shut the ipad down to get it to work again. Then i started using the app (thinking it was a flunk or something) which i think is pretty good some things arent as intuitive as they should be but it would be alright if it didn't crash right as i was trying to find out how to delete stuff and how to lower transparency on reference images. I also had to fully power the ipad down again to get it to work again. and i want to remind you that this isn't just the app kicking me out or freezing momentarily, it fully freezes and makes device unusable until i make it shut down.

Absolutely amazing

He second I got this app I already knew it was going to be amazing. And the fact that you can make models on ipad/iPhone is amazing the modeling is great especially the materials for the texture. There’s just one thing I would love to have I don’t know if you already have it though a bone tool where you could stretch something or do what ever and put it on the model and get as many as you want, and press some type of submit some button or something and than pose the parts of the places you put the bones. Other than that great app 5/5!

I have 2 suggestions.

I have 2 suggestions/ideas that this app could use to make it really better! My 1st suggestion is making folders, i feel like this is a really good idea if you want to organize all of your models into one so it doesnt look all messy when your trying to make/load a model! My 2nd suggestion is being able to search models by title! This would help me ALOTTT because of how many models i have, and it would make it easier to find things so you dont have to keep scrolling to find the model your looking for.

High potential high crashing

so i RARELY ever review on the app store, but this app is just so incredibly helpful and honestly simple for newbies and its just so easy when you get used to it, i couldn’t not leave a review. though it has it’s flaws of course. mainly for me, it being crashing, especially when painting or attempting to duplicate a simple model. ( which may be perhaps because of my high triangle count of 15k~) if you can somehow up the triangle count and make it crash less, (i use iphone 11) it would make it a 5 start experience and make life easier. but with that, its a good easy app to use.

Tutorial

I really like using this app as a beginner because I really want to get to 3-D art and I do not have access to a computer at the time but this is doing me a lot of good but I also have a lot of problems with the tutorials and knowing how things work because as you know, I’m a beginner so I need a lot of practice and I am having trouble tutorials because after I look at them one time and exit out I don’t seem to get them back so I was wondering is there a way to get the tutorials back or is that just not a thing?

As a person who ♥︎ modeling...

GEEZ! I love modeling, I love tiny, I love creating! This works out so well. Never crashes always saves. Easy to use and fold and bend and use. Pretty simple! One thing, everytime I insert an image like to create posters, wallpaper, flooring, bed covering ect WHATEVER. It works! My image isn't foggy, it isn't glitched, it isn't horrible it's exactly the way i took the picture. But when i exit out the app, reload it and come back in, the image is gone! I reload and reload and it won't pop back up! Is there a way to fix this? Because I don't want to have one simple color and not designs.

Best 3D Modeling App on iPhone

5/5 stars. I have very few criticisms. It’s very easy to use and it’s not required to pay for premium. The possibilities are endless for what you can make. I’m looking forward to lighting being added and I hope that in the future they will add a few more shapes and preexisting models maybe even a feature to change the line color so you can see the models a little better without coloring over it. I’ve spent many hours working on models and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Amazing app :)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS APP!!!

I have some little characters I made when I was really young and for so long I have been trying to explain what they might look like in 3D and this app is easy to make them in! I tried other apps, but nothing works as good as this app. Now that I have it, I enjoy using it! I would recommend this app to people who want to do 3D modeling (or 3D animation) because it is easy to learn and the quality is smooth with lighting and stuff. So if anyone is interested in that stuff, this may be the best choice.

I love all the features and I’m glad that they are making new ones, everything works amazing. But I do wish that there was different brushes that you can chose, for me it is a bit pixelated and it’s hard to color only one thing without everything outside of that area getting colored. But I love how easy everything works and how complex of things you can make from it. It’s honestly one of the best 3D modeling apps iv seen

App RUINED by LACK of possibilities

I was looking for a 3d modeling app, cuz I really liked that kind of stuff, and… BOOM this app came up. It had a bunch of 5 star ratings, but I don’t see how it gets those stars. For starters, my game crashed 10 seconds after I got it, and the tutorial seemed more confusing than the DIY part. Also I expected models the game made with such as an apple, or a house, or maybe a car… BUT NO. When I tried to make something of my own, all I got was a square, and I could barely even do anything with it. And there was no way to copy an object either so that you had two squares. If this app doesn’t do something about the problems, this app’s days of 5 stars will be numbered. This app is building its own coffin at this point.

Heads

Need ability to keep reference eye sphere while modeling head around it. Lock feature tries. Everything else is great. Found navigation without a graphical gizmo works. In nomad sculpt the gizmo is great on larger iPad screens but not on iPhone. I like this is designed more for an iPhone screen. Can work out ideas while out and about. Don’t care for subscriptions but may pay for a month to support development. I think it’s nearly there as a phone tool. Adding layers, a full gizmo and other features would be nice for a tablet/computer replacement.

amazing potential lost

Had a thought this app would be pointless considering the subscription shown in the beginning stating you couldn’t save your creations to your device/export anywhere without it, but decided to try it out anyway. made some of my best 3D models here as a beginner, but like I initially thought it is unfortunate I have 0 use for them since the only way to use them would be to pay a subscription…extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t mind ads if it meant the 3D models could be exported and used for literally anything but no. Or maybe if it was a one time purchase type app..pretending to be free is annoying..you can’t do anything with your 3D models except look at them i guess. :/

I was very excited to use and create with this app and it’s pretty good and fun, but it won’t let you export unless you pay for the subscription. My favorite blender alternative and also just blender in mobile kinda?

Very good! made alot of things and some where even ported to blender to vrchat the only issue atm is for some reason i cant port references anymore have any ideas why? (!!!Edit!!!) yeah idk i would try to import a image but it wouldn't pop up but its fix now could've been a visual problem but it fixed on its own! So im good! {ill give a update if it breaks again 👍

Good interface, Bad Name. Limited options?

This seemed like a great little app. I liked the simple touch controls for interacting with objects. Good tutorials and help menus. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any Boolean/cut/diff/slice operation for objects. Probably I’m missing something, but good luck searching anything about an app with such a generic name… Big fail on that point. A killer app needs a proper name. The app could really become something incredible with the right documentation. My complaints are minor, but these 2 are deal breaker for me.

So a few things need to be stated

So i got this app looking for a app to import things into my photos and videos and this app is really really advanced and hard to use but i didn’t see any way to import it into my actual photos and videos so im deleting the app but I think the developers should add a duplicate button but it seemed like a nice app so i wanted to leave a review but if you want to make a really advanced object or digital thing for friends to look at i would recommend this app but you need to practice for a while to get the hang of this app im sure. 👍

Awesome, but no key frames

I absolutely love this app. It was a little hard to get used to because I am used to blender, but once you learn it you can make models anywhere. I was disappointed to see that you can not animate and there is no key frames. If I could add anything it would be key frame animation. This app is made for design, and some designs have parts that move. But you can move them. Please consider it. If you do add it I will eternally great full and this app would be worth the full five stars.

I reviewed this on my Mac one year ago, but in honor of graduating my CTE class I’ll review it again. A year ago I needed to make three 3D models for a class and I couldn’t even move the camera in blender. This app SAVED my GPA, I designed everything I needed in 3 hours. I’m finishing this year with a 4.0 and I owe it all to you guys ❤️interface is so easy to use and the tutorials were helpful. Thank you to the developers of this app you saved me!!!!

Not bad - Ive found it helpful

I’ve the app handy for mocking up quick basic shapes - which I then import into Nomad sculpt for the rest of the work flow. The file system is very confusing. Renaming doesn’t appear to work. I also can no longer find the obj file I exported… I successfully did it with several models but now I can’t figure out how I did or where the files went. Also this app needs a “lasso select” for points, lines and surfaces - individually picking is tedious (I’ve used the grow to some effect, but also would be incredibly helpful.

Really Good!

I really enjoy this modeling app! Its easy to get the hang of, lots of features, and it’s really useful. The only issue I’ve been having is the ability to add models you’ve already made to the one you are currently working on (say you made a model of a basket and you want you add an apple model you previously made) without completely remaking it. If there is a way to do this or if a way could be added, it would be great, but the program is already very good without this. 4 stars! Very good!

Wow just wow

It is one of the best 3d modeling software on mobile and the interface is super intuitive 10/10 but one ☝️ criticism the way to extrude is not complicated but sometimes Annoying but over all please get this app amazing and it doesn’t shove adds down your throat it’s just an honest game if that makes sense but 🔟/🔟 go get the game now and it has a built in tutorial for all of the uses and the painting is fun

Notice before you start working!

The app is great, I had no trouble making some pretty neat looking sunglasses and a head, and I’ve never modeled anything before. HOWEVER, AND I MEAN HOWEVERRRR if you’re not looking to purchase anything (like myself), you should be certainly aware that you have to PAY TO EXPORT. exporting your work as a .obj (or any export, I didn’t try the flat image type) requires you to have premium. I think that’s kinda ridiculous, considering that’s a very basic necessity. Who makes a model just to let it sit in the app? Most people will export it to something more professional or put it in a game.

Thought it would be good…

This is an overall good game, but I think it needs a few improvements. I thought this would be a good app to start creating Roblox marketplace items, but the import/export is a pro feature. Please change that. Another thing is, I looked all throughout the App Store and found all kinds of other apps, and this was the best one. I’m disappointed in how this app actually works. The controls are too confusing. The things i actually need are premium. I’ll probably still delete it and go the extra step to get an actual modeling program.

Total Rip-Off! Don’t Buy This App.

I purchased the optional in-app purchase which was supposed to expand the functionality of the app. I use this app to sketch up basic 3 models when I am away from my rendering/modeling rig and it’s essential that I can use features like smoothing and dividing without limitations. However, even since I bough the in app addition, it still tells me that I have too many division/fractals/squares and they can’t complete the division or smoothing. What garbage. I’m considering buying a Microsoft Surface Tablet or an IPad Pro (or carry around a cheap laptop) because this is not a viable option.

Truly incredible, highly capable

This ran fine on my iPhone SE 2020, and is lightning fast on my iPhone 15 Pro. This app is great for those of us who want to do some 3d modeling on the go. It can be learned in about 20 minutes for those of us coming from Blender or Max. It also has an enormous library of high quality stock assets. From what I can tell this is the "killer app" for hard surface 3d modeling on iPhone/ipad.

Amazing!! With a suggestion!

Amazing app! You guys should add an animate option where you can animate your model. And with that you can add visual effects and fire smoke lighting ect ect. And when your finished you can download it as a video file on your device. So over all I love this app, and something I hope you guys add. Please respond to let me know if your adding this. Amazing app!!

I love the app, all the features work beautifully and it’s easy to use. But there’s one thing that I want to change. Whenever you create a light it just makes everything else darker rather than just being lighter than everything else. I would give this app five stars if the light worked plz change this. Mostly Good, Tiny Bit Bad

Everything is awesome about this app, but the fact that if your on a iPad, on the animatronic when you try to make it smooth in a specific mode, it won't work I even tryed deleteing some apps to see if it was a storage issue but still it did not work! But other than that and some other small issues, this is a amazing app. Would definitely recommend getting this app (AND it is free)

So this app is very good with the tutorials and other hard work they put into this, But sometimes it gets confusing and I don’t understand. Either way I never feel like it looks ✨smooth✨ I use the smooth tool which works pretty well but it still looks pretty blocky I feel like it’s because of the outline it’d be nice if you could remove it and then look at it to see what might need fixing overall underrated and amazing just needs some work

This is a very good beginner friendly simplified version of the more complicated blender on computers. The tutorials are very clear, and it’s easy to explore and figure out quickly without confusion. I have a difficult time working with the more complex version of blender, and this helped a lot. This review is completely honest and I would give it 5 stars. Good luck with your modeling journey!

have to pay to export

this is a good app, but you cannot export models without paying a expensive subscription. please change this, make it free. just the one extra thing. please. YOU CANT USE YOUR MODEL UNLESS YOU BUY THEIR OVERPRICED SUBSCRIPTION, MONEY HUNGRY JERKS! edit- thank you for your response I understand that you would like more money in order to make your app better have you considered that your app would be a lot better if I didn’t have to pay for the most basic uses of it? people really love free stuff. I understand paying for extra features but not being able to export your own designs is kind of a stretch.

I LOVE this app!!

I never write reviews but this app is just incredible. It’s basically Blender lite on mobile - when you’re stuck commuting, in a boring lecture, or just messing around on your phone you can slap together a model in minutes and spend hours perfecting it. Some suggestions for features I’d like to see if possible: - moving the scene lighting around; - adjusting the transparency of reference images and models; (also maybe thickness/color of wireframe to help when modeling based on an image) - adding layers; - implementing Bezier/Nurbs curves; - make the model tab mirrorable (ie so everything i do on one side is reflected in real-time on the other) - raising triangle count etc Thank you for this incredible app!!

Nice, but a few problems.

It’s a really good app, it’s just that when I use a lot of shapes (Which I do a lot.) it crashes after a few changes. That can get annoying, especially since I have to save the file over and over. Is there a reason that I just don’t know? Another idea, could there be a way to fill in a shape with a color? I have to use the brush to color shapes all the way, and that can get annoying quickly (especially because of the problem above.) Can a bucket tool be added? Also why is there a limit for the amount of triangles? I have had to make make-shift round surfaces multiple times. Other than these, it’s a nice app for people starting out at 3D modeling, like me. There isn’t many options, but it’s ok. 3/5 because it’s just good, no more and no less.

Almost there, needs to be finished

It’s ok but can’t do everything it claims. Like step 10/30 is impossible, but they show you can. If you’re going to charge, then you should be able to shorten things without cutting them. I stopped after the tutorial after that because obviously there’s no point because beyond that I can only assume the “advanced techniques” do not work yet. I’ll use it for the seven days but definitely not going to pay for a subscription for something that’s 80% complete. When they update and complete it I’ll consider subscribing.
