I appreciate the ease of viewing my accounts and being able to do what I need to do. If I do get stumped, I am happy to know I can call and speak to a live person. My Family are members. I also love the protection service. It is a blessing. Been a member for 52 years and I sincerely have appreciated the service and products I have received throughout the years. Thank you!
I am a 35+ year credit union veteran with memberships at four different credit unions across the country. Between myself and my family we have multitudes of personal and business accounts across a broad range of products. I have brought multiple issues to the appropriate people, including board members, many times over the last 10 years that I’ve been a part of Abound credit Union. It literally took 10 years for them to get a PDF statement! And it still doesn’t know how to represent a withdrawal as a negative number, and a deposit as a positive number! They still don’t have commercial credit cards! I’ve spent days of my life writing feedback to help developers fix problems in their app. Mostly to no avail. So the app works if you don’t mind sucky apps but it’s definitely not the product one should expect from a billion dollar organization. To their credit, the frontline tellers, loan officers, admins, managers, etc. do their level best to represent their organization well within the policies they’ve been handed. Hats off to them! Mr. Springsteen, the president of the organization, has done a fine job of trying to herd the cats. But somewhere in the middle people aren’t listening. Honestly, they need a shake up and some old ex-govt butts need to be kicked out of seats - starting with the board.
I constantly have had problems w/ the bank & the app. I have had to watch my the account activity for all accounts due to errors, numerous errors. I believe they are using work from home inexperienced ,young ppl to fulfill the customer service department. You can’t hire ppl flippantly when dealing w/ customers hard earned money. I can’t ever get secure message responses that provide what I ask them for or need. The structure of the statements system has changed. The bank ignores follow up questions about loans. There, in my opinion, are underlying issues to explain the loan decisions & it existed, in my opinion & by experience when it was FKFCU. Did I say member service is awful & many of the employees don’t respect the FACT that no customers means NO JOBS!! Oh yeah, the app malfunctions a lot & always at the MOST inconvenient times.. I’m done as a customer after twenty years!!
I love the new layout you guys have presented! It’s one of the big reasons I started to push away from your bank. I noticed when you hit “more” on the app it doesn’t seem to work.( iPhone X) From a website designer.. I would like to see your logo up on the top, to be clickable to bring you back to home. Been using it for over a year. Handy app, but check deposit feature is still buggy. I routinely have to try several times before it accepts a deposit. And yes the photos are the same quality to my human eye every time, sometimes I just change the table surface color with different papers, so the algorithm is just super picky from check to check.
Easy to use, could use a few updates. When I click “more” the UI doesn’t slide out far enough to read anything. Purchases don’t show up instantly when you use your card and takes a few minutes to update your balance and you can’t just slide screen down to refresh. Other than that it works.
This app functions alright if all you are looking for is basic viewing and somewhat limited transfer of funds between accounts. Getting it set up was more difficult than it should have been. It needs a big upgrade to become easier and more convenient to use, especially for members who have more than one account.
That’s really very good, it’s a huge leap. I love it and happy to be family. I could only ask one more thing, that would be awesome to make our debit cards Zelle capable or that kind of service. I think they call it “fast funds enable”. That would be awesome. I’m leaving in Arizona now. And I’m still very happy with my credit union.
The site is helpful for checking on your accounts - savings, loan, and credit card. However, it took several days for a charge to show up on my account in the last week or so. Other than that, the site does help me keep track of my accounts.
This app is great to see how much is in each account and maybe move money between the two. Everything else is a phone call because either the app doesn’t have certain functions available OR because this bank offers less options or charges for things other modern banks don’t.
I gave this app 1 star because I am constantly being locked out because the because the app will tell me my password is wrong when it isn’t and when the app does a update I have to call and get a temporary password and reset it again. My daughter uses Navy Feds app for about 2 years and not once has she had the problems your app has. I hope in the future you take what your members are telling you and fix this issue because if you don’t I will be changing to Navy Federal.
Checking, Savings, Loans, & Credit Card accounts all under 1 app! I can easily transfer funds within all of the accounts. I can even setup to pay my bills right through the app! It’s so easy and all in one place!
This is probably an Abound issue and not the app but not cool when I transfer from checking to credit card balance and the money immediately comes out of checking but takes 2-5 DAYS to show up on credit card. Where is my money during those 2-5 days? Also, I find it very confusing to figure out my actual balance and how they apply pending items. I still rely on my paper register.
Love the bank…hate the app . It’s way out of date and needs a update! I use Face ID to log in and most times I have to close the app from background and reboot for Face ID to work. Also the security isn’t the best… you open the app and unlock and if you close out and open back up mins later it don’t ask for a password. Sometimes I feel like calling the number like the old days would be a easier task!
My regret that I used abound for the purchase of a car. I have never experienced such a difficult company to communicate with. I like to make my payments in advance. This means that I am required to send my payment thru my bank, 8-10 days in advance because as it turns out, the payment has to be in the form of an actual check, sent by way of snail mail. I have visions of some poor tired soul, going thru the mail, the entire process is ridiculous.
I’ll never use another bank/banking app! The only thing I don’t like is it doesn’t tell me when my payment is due for my credit card and how much I owe a month but other than that I have 0 complaints! My loan tells me payment due date!
My credit account has showed a negative balance for 11 days despite being paid in full. When I tried to file a complaint, it was realized that you all have no formal system for handling complaints. Which also means that you probably have an insufficient means of monitoring and measuring customer data. Sure surveys like this can be used to satisfy auditors, but what are you really doing about problems such as the one mentioned in the first sentence?
This app is like having a 24 hr bank teller. Giving us access to everything we need from our own accounts. From deposits & withdrawals to account history and printouts 24/7 day and night. Overall it’s a great app!
I really LOVED having a credit card using the name "Fort Knox" seemed 'classy' somehow! Now the credit union is called: Abound...megh...passion-less, generic sounding...means nothing in the realm of Finance, and certainly does not stand out in any way. Then the-powers-that-be try to convince us that a name change will be more inclusive or some other nonsense. As far as the App goes: can't find out anything about my Credit Card account (same as before) was hoping that would improve. I see nothing 'new' that might be helpful to me....plus now even the great name is gone.
You can see your balance, and most days face login works. It’s notifications are useless (why can’t I get a text when a deposit is made???) and like everything about this bank, it’s a token effort to say they tried without having to actually put money and effort in. Mediocre app for a mediocre CU.
This app is not user friendly. There is no way to view ALL accounts at the credit union. One must log out and then log on again to manage a different account. Information does not save although, I ask elect it to save my log in information. The Face ID feature does not work. I get put into a perpetual circle while trying to do this. The only thing good about it is the ability to transfer funds.
Seems to be doin fine…… Whenever I need to message anyone at the bank, using the app, it’s usually answered in a timely manner, and that’s convenient. The app itself, is pretty user friendly. Over all….. it does what it’s supposed to do.
This app is horrible. I liked the Fort Knox app way better. Why aren’t things instant? For example, I cashed out money from my CashApp, but it’s just pending. It’s not available to use. Also, I can’t make instant transfers. Why does it not change your balance immediately? It shows your current balance and available balance which makes it easy to overdraft. I am so aggravated with this app, and wish it had the same features as the old Fort Knox app.
App is junk cannot define which account is which. They all have the same last four numbers. I made a mistake leaving Navy Federal to bank here. Navy federal banking app blows there outta of the water. Still in the dark ages of processing checks 3/4 days. They are really happy to hit you with those fees also. Just a bad mistake leaving navy federal probably will go back to navy federal. Just really let down!!
The app was great until MFA began prompting me for a “one time passcode” every time I launch the mobile app. Regardless of my “remember this device” selection each time, it still happens. As soon as this is resolved I’ll increase my rating.
It’s so hard to make a payment on this app. They have it hide behind different links. You can’t simply pay with a debit card. When you finally do add your bank account you have to wait several days (5 or more) to be able to make a payment.
The reason I downloaded the app was to be able to pay my loan through it instead of always having to get on my laptop but you can’t do that. The only thing you can do really is check your balances. There should be a Face ID feature and the ability to pay your bills through the app.
Works well but would be nice to have a feature for facial ID recognition. Would also be nice for a notification anytime my card is used to help prevent fraud. I also cannot see my credit card transactions on the app, only online.
