ALO is not just a clothing brand, but it is a lifestyle. It is amazing to incorporate such a zen process of meditation, yoga, Pilates and sport into the classically hectic lifestyle of the modern day human. To experience this brand is to embark the journey of balance and trek into the path of duality. It is a daily reminder to churn a positive energy, drive impactful change, and to preserve the underlying teachings embed the pillars of yoga and philosophical truth. ALO generates a feeling of modern day transcendentalism with a stylistic twist. Their weekly newsletters and blogposts on mindfulness and well-being provide incredible value. I cannot wait to see what other digital and other collections this brand continues to build and develop in the common realm of wellness, even beyond!
This Brand Simply Doesn’t Care About Its Customers
While there are any number of non-app examples to demonstrate Alo doesn’t care about its customers (probably because Alo is enjoying peak popularity and has insane margins for now), the app is demonstration enough. Example 1: to add your birthday on the Alo Access page on an iPhone, the UI provides a date picker. That date picker allows you to go back in time a month per tap. I’m 43. This means I’d need to tap more than 513 times to get to my birthday. This is absurd. No one who cares about their customers foists this terrible UX upon their customers. Example 2: When you filter by things like gender, size, etc. on a page - like when there’s a sale - it provides results filled with products not available in your given size because they’re “sold out online” and you can add your name to a waitlist. Again, this is absurd. It makes the filtering useless. You must click into every single dang item you are interested in to see if it’s actually available in your size. The whole point of filtering is to remove products that aren’t available in your size to limit what you need to look at and save you time searching. This is an epic failure. Both of these examples are things that some simple testing and a very little thought would avoid. However, Alo doesn’t care about its customers so it doesn’t think and doesn’t test.
When you practice yoga everyday, the last thing you need to worry about is how your yoga clothes make you feel about yourself. With Alo, you know that each piece will fit your body perfectly. Once you know your perfect size, you never have to worry about new drops being any different. Alo continues to bring new colors and new styles to keep the excitement of feeling comfortable and confident all day every day. When only the best matters, Alo is the best!
During Covid I was a Luluhead. Everything from head to toe. Over the past year I started noticing quality and style decline. Boring, I guess. I went to The Grove hoping for that that Lulu Spark, Nothing. Walked out empty handed once again. Alo was a few doors down. OMG! The energy was full of joy and excitement. It was like a fireworks show mid August. Sparks everywhere. Loved the selection and customer service. Thanks Alo for reviving me. And that’s my story.
I was surprised that the navigating through Alo’s app was only moderately intuitive. Also at checkout the pay option buttons seemed visually close, and when I accidentally touched Apple pay instead of PayPal, it started to process the payment (I’m assuming this because the message that suddenly came up was “processing.”) So moving on to the good: search and scroll for items were quick and images and descriptions were helpful. I was glad there was an option to find out more on the FIT of each item.
The Alo app is pretty easy to use. However it does not allow you to rate your purchases or write a review about them. It looks like a lot of the reviews are mixed up and not for the product you’re looking at in the app. It does not always search correctly too. The search feature doesn’t always pull in everything. Sometimes it was in the products that I’m interested in but it doesn’t all the time upon such in a second or third time it will pull in different options.
Can’t even use because I can’t log in via Facebook
Downloaded the app for “easier shopping”, but I can’t even place an order because I can’t log in to my account! When I signed up for an account, I used Facebook login, which isn’t an option on the app. I can’t login using my email address, because I do not have a password since I used Facebook login. So, back to the actual website I go, as this app is completely useless to me, and will be deleted after I write this review. Such an easy update to make but I see reviews from a year plus ago having the same issue so it doesn’t seem like Alo has an interest in fixing it.
Catherine Collins is the best manager ever!!! Since I had a problem with my shipping status and was waiting 2 weeks to get my pants, I went to the Alo store and the manager said I would solve your problem, but nothing was resolved. When I came a second time, Catherine said she would check everything and then gave me all the information I needed.
The app is good except for an issue that constantly changes my currency to that of the country I am in when I open it and there’s no way of resetting the currency to US Dollars. That is really annoying since I have to delete the app all the time and sometimes it reinstalls with the wrong currency!! It also keeps signing me out of my account and again, I have to sign in every time if I want to make a purchase so I typically end up buying on the website, instead. Please fix these issues!!
I’d like to know why when I downloaded the app the prices went up significantly? Is the joke on me? If this doesn’t adjust. You will lose me as a customer. The 30 percent off for accolade is $84. On the APP the same accolades are $105 with 30 percent off from $150. Why try to fool the customers? That’s not okay. I’m not sure I feel okay about representing your clothing line if you going to cheat customers. It’s a shame because I love your clothes. This and Free People is all I wear. Oh and Taylor Swift Merch.
I just got these in fog along with the cropped hood and LOVE them!!! I put them on immediately and haven’t taken them off. Color is beautiful and I am buying the ski puffer right now!! Got a small in the pants and could have gotten a x-small and they would have still been baggy. I am 5’3 and length was perfect with my platform Ugg's but drag with my Nike 270’s
App doesn’t work and it’s not working and it’s cheap. The app is the stupidest app ever created by the company. I wouldn’t recommend using it and buy your stuff online because Alo created a horrible, effortless, and time consuming login that scares away users. I had 6 friends who downloaded it and couldn’t sign in and they really wanted to buy more clothes. Lol they ended up buying from another company because the login system was horrible. Don’t waste your time, Alo is a clothing company and their website and their app reflect how pathetic their digital products are.
The easiest way to shop. Helpful filters when you’re just looking for something specific. Easy to go from different views and colors. I just recently added the app and it works great on my iPad but not on my 15 Pro IPhone. I’ll have to figure that out.
The app is very easy to navigate and intuitive. I love the interface and I love the clothes. I wish there was a way to favorite items or save them for later. I’m also encountering a problem with checking out using afterpay, I get all the way to the screen to confirm and place the order and tapping the button to complete doesn’t do anything.
Almost every app in the world, except those that are cheap, will allow automatic filling of your name and address etc. also most apps will allow Apple to choose a difficult password automatically and then automatically sign you in when using the app. Not this one. This app has none of these features. I will not use the app because I don’t trust it since the design is so flawed. I don’t trust this app. What else did they cheap out on? So I’m not using it. Contact me when you have updated the app and I’ll buy something.
Customer service, ease of ordering, quality of products - all excellent. My only issue is outside ALO control. UPS used to deliver at door. For this order, they left it by the road with the ALO logo on the box. I was lucky to retrieve it before it may have disappeared.
I absolutely love how every item I purchase from Alo fits me perfectly. While these items may not be the cheapest, I firmly believe that I get what I pay for. I am completely satisfied and delighted with my purchases. These pairs are highly recommended
I LOVE ALO. I have thousands of dollars worth of it and recommend it highly. With that said, the customer service and return process is literally a scam. Please do not return or exchange ANYTHING. They either steal it or lie, or don’t refund. I wish I was being dramatic. You call and no one has notes from past calls, you can’t hear anything at the call center. Never use to be like this. Tried to reach BBB no luck. If you are in the same boat, let’s connect. I’m on IG or FB.
You can never get a customer service rep on the phone and when you chat with them they always say “I can definitely help with that” then after explaining their response every time is “sorry I can’t help” The absolute worst customer service!! Also, when purchasing an item that was on their sale then need to exchange for size they tell you it’s not available but if you go on the site it is!!!
Love this brand. Chic, stylish, comfortable, high quality items. App is easy to use I just wish I could use my rewards points to redeem for cash off items in my wishlist instead of just the few selected items Alo chooses as “reward” items.
Three fixes would make this a 5 star app: 1. The homepage only shows products for the opposite sex, even though it has us select products we’d like to see. 2. All the notifications I receive are for new looks, but again for the opposite sex. 3. The shopping with refund the credit doesn’t work on the app.
I purchased a $88 yoga mat for my 22 year old daughter for Christmas, (one of a few gifts because it was expensive and she wanted a really good one) two months into using it developed a really bad odor which she found out was MOLD and would not come clean after several attempts with different products. She reached out many times to get it replaced and they respond no guarantees and was really rude. So we won’t be purchasing anything in the future from Alo. Zero Stars!!!
I used to be obsessed with Lululemon until my mom discovered ALO on instagram… now I love even more!!! It is far better quality and I love the clothes even better !!! We are a very active family so basically all we use is alo !! BUY IT!!!
Problem not being able to see or use my gift cards… surely this should be simple?
Such a complex process… store not available online. So found it in store. Store won’t allow me to se a debit card to make a purchase. I had to go online and purchase gift cards. I did. But I see PayPal… it’s secure for me, but now the gift card email with the gift card # has not been sent. I have proof of purchase: 1/ the money has gone out of my bank 2/ the email with the confirmation of the Order # 3/ I can see the purchase in my Alo app which again has the Order # but not the actual gift card # This is 2024!!! Please upgrade your systems to talk to each other … I still can’t purchase product and yet you have my money locked up!
The three last purchases I made did not include the glow gift that was offered to me. I noticed the glow gift is still being offered even though it doesn’t exist. A fourth purchase previously, did not contain two items I purchased with points, nor were they ever sent to me after I was in communication with ALO. ALO has become unreliable. I used to spend on average $12,000 per year. I decided to stop purchasing.
The best part about Alo products is the quality! The silky smooth material Alo yoga pants are made of can’t compare to other brands. For my first pair, I chose the camo (regular green) and 2nd the camo pink. I’ve gotten many compliments along with “Where did you get those?!” ~gwen thorn~
Always loved shopping the Alo site and now even more excited about their app! My favorite part is the inspo tab where I can shop from their social feed. I’ve tried all of the lounge and yoga wear brands out there and Alo is definitely the best quality :)
I love the look and feel of every item I’ve purchased. It is so different to all the others clothes I have. I’ve been replacing my exercise clothes and my casual clothes with many ALO clothing
AMAZING is an understatement. The app is great, but I’m looking for somewhere to leave reviews on your products, I am extremely happy, and have never been so satisfied with a delivery from another company.
Doesn’t work if your account is linked to gmail or Facebook
If you set up your account on the website by sign in via gmail or Facebook it doesn’t give you the option to do so via the app. you can’t create a new account because it says the email is already in use, but if you try to click “forgot password” to reset it, it says the email address doesn’t exist. This is a huge oversight by the app developer
App is great, clothes are great, company mission is outstanding. Not sure how to contact the company about a color drop, but we need some royal blue in our lives please. Love the red hot summer, but would love it in Royal blue as well. Please and thank you.
This app is beautiful but there are some issues. Searching doesn’t always pull all of the results or pulls the wrong things. I also wish there was a way to favorite items or save them to a list to come back to. Extremely inefficient
I love this app! Its smooth navigation and everything is so beautiful! I never rate apps, but this one deserves 5 stars for all the New fresh looks and video clips. Great talent!
The app itself is beautifully designed and I love that there are so many different ways to see the styles on models, BUT there is no way to share items OR EVEN FAVORITE THEM. You have to either add them to your cart or take a screenshot and hope you don’t forget about them. Hopefully the updates will include these changes.
I love using the app! Keeping track of my orders, points and favorites is so easy. I also love that it’s so easy to pull up past purchases for when I’m wondering what size I’ll need.

The app has been broken for several weeks now. The Home, Wishlist, and Account buttons have zero functionality and give error messages. Bag was not working up until this latest update fixed it. The shop button is the only tab that has worked.
For a higher end workout clothing line, you’d think they’d put more effort into their app. Can’t log in/create an account (tapping the submit button does literally nothing) always stuck on the alo loading page and never reloading to the homepage. So frustrating when it’s 2022 and these are basic features of an app that should never be an issue.
Alo online and the app had some payment glitches . I could not use paypal nor a visa or amex card; in the end only alipay worked! Not my first time shopping @ Alo either! 🤷🏼♂️
Amazing sporty clothing you can use to work out or go out. Great fit and love the sizing. I’m usually a medium in pants but in all I use a small. Love the fit and quality. Pricy but worth it.
lovely app except there’s nowhere to save items you like except for the shopping cart, but then if you buy something you have to remove everything else and lose those items :(
Goes without saying the product is top grade, but I just love how you can navigate different looks, inspo, and free content so easily! 10 stars if I could!
Alo has some of the best yoga and lounge wear I have ever worn. I really like their yoga app Alo Moves as well. Hopefully they add a feature to share items, since I obvi want my friends’ opinions and want to show them all of the cute stuff!
